Autoregressive video diffusion models (AR-VDMs) enable real-time, long-horizon video generation but degrade rapidly once the inference horizon outruns the training horizon, due to compounding exposure bias. To stabilize long rollouts, recent methods heuristically adopt frame sink, keeping initial frames as a persistent model context, inspired by attention sinks in LLMs. We revisit this design and find that the mechanism by which initial frames stabilize long-range consistency in AR-VDMs is not an LLM-style attention sink; instead, long-range consistency is anchored through a sparse subset of attention heads, while the majority of heads predominantly capture local temporal dynamics. This observation reveals an over-conditioning pathology in existing frame-sink strategies: by universally exposing every head to the pinned initial-frame context, the model becomes prone to collapsing motion toward the low-dynamic modes of the teacher during model distillation. We propose Disen-Forcing, a distillation-time plug-in for AR-VDMs that disentangles and reinforces this head specialization through disentangled context routing and motion-disentangling regularization. On long-horizon video generation benchmarks, Disen-Forcing simultaneously improves long-range consistency and motion dynamics of base AR-VDMs, a trade-off that sink-based methods fail to balance.
Autoregressive (AR) models have recently emerged as a promising paradigm for image generation, as they can model visual tokens through the same next-token prediction principle that underlies large language models. However, most competitive AR image generators still rely on Transformer attention, whose quadratic token interaction cost and growing key-value cache become increasingly expensive for high-resolution visual sequences. Linear attention provides an attractive route to efficient AR generation, but our study shows that directly importing linear or decay-based attention from language modeling leads to clear quality degradation. We identify a key cause: after a 2D token map is flattened by raster scan, 1D sequence locality no longer faithfully reflects spatial locality, and conventional decay mechanisms may introduce a false-locality bias at row transitions. To address this problem, we propose Linear Attention with Spatial-Aware Decay (LASAD), a simple recurrent attention mechanism that modulates decay according to the original 2D token geometry while preserving linear complexity. Built upon this layer, LASADGen replaces standard attention in an AR image generator with spatial-aware linear attention. Experiments on ImageNet demonstrate that LASADGen achieves a favorable quality-efficiency tradeoff, improving generation quality over linear-attention baselines while reducing inference cost and memory usage compared with Transformer-based AR models.

We present Omni-I2C, a comprehensive benchmark designed to evaluate the capability of Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) in converting complex, structured digital graphics into executable code. We argue that this task represents a non-trivial challenge for the current generation of LMMs: it demands an unprecedented synergy between high-fidelity visual perception—to parse intricate spatial hierarchies and symbolic details—and precise generative expression—to synthesize syntactically sound and logically consistent code. Unlike traditional descriptive tasks, Omni-I2C requires a holistic understanding where any minor perceptual hallucination or coding error leads to a complete failure in visual reconstruction. Omni-I2C features 1130 meticulously curated samples, defined by its breadth across subjects, image modalities, and programming languages. By incorporating authentic user-sourced cases, the benchmark spans a vast spectrum of digital content—from scientific visualizations to complex symbolic notations—each paired with executable reference code. To complement this diversity, our evaluation framework provides necessary depth; by decoupling performance into perceptual fidelity and symbolic precision, it transcends surface-level accuracy to expose the granular structural failures and reasoning bottlenecks of current LMMs. Our evaluation reveals a substantial performance gap among leading LMMs; even state-of-the-art models struggle to preserve structural integrity in complex scenarios, underscoring that multimodal code generation remains a formidable challenge. Machine unlearning in multimodal large language models (MLLMs) aims to remove specific concepts while preserving overall utility. However, existing approaches focus primarily on general utility metrics, overlooking the preservation of semantically related concepts. We present the first systematic analysis of this proximal collateral damage, revealing that forgetting vulnerability correlates strongly with visual embedding similarity in a smooth gradient across the semantic space. Based on this insight, we propose a novel unlearning framework that introduces Self-Generated Proximal Visual Tokens (SGPVTs), which are synthetically perturbed visual representations around the target concept. Our method employs an adaptive cosine-band curriculum with a dual-stream objective: forgetting the target via gradient ascent while distilling knowledge from a frozen teacher model into proximal tokens to prevent degradation. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our approach significantly outperforms existing methods in preserving semantically related concepts while achieving effective target unlearning, eliminating the need for manual retention set curation. Our source code will be released in the near future.
