FARE: Factor-Aware Retrieval with Error-Guided Fusion for Retail Forecasting

Chenghao Gu, Zhuokang Shen, Shenghao Wu, Tingxuan Zhu, Weiyi Luo, Haifeng Tang

Retail sales forecasting underpins inventory planning, yet promotions and calendar events reshape short-term demand. Although each factor usually has historical occurrences, the complete factor combination of a target week often has few precedents. The challenge is therefore to retrieve informative partial matches and weight them by their reliability, which varies across series. We propose FARE(Factor-Aware Retrieval with Error-Guided Fusion), which ranks historical weeks separately for each known target-week factor and merges the selected weeks into a factor reference under a fixed budget. Guided by shrunk errors from completed development weeks and the current disagreement among candidates, a first gate mixes this factor reference with a shape reference from similar sales histories, and a second gate controls how strongly the mixture corrects a backbone forecast. Both gates remain fixed during testing. On Favorita, M5, Rossmann, and Rohlik, FARE reduces the weighted absolute percentage error (WAPE) of five backbones by 11.46%, 4.06%, 14.63%, and 10.16% on average. With Chronos-2 frozen, FARE also outperforms conventional and existing enhancement methods, including supervised residual correction and retrieval augmentation. Semantic-Enriched Latent Visual Reasoning

Tianrun Xu, Yue Sun, Qixun Wang, Jingyi Lu, Yuan Wang, Tianren Zhang, Longteng Guo, Fengyun Rao 等 11 位作者

Multimodal latent-space reasoning aims to replace explicit thinking with images by performing visual reasoning directly in a compact latent space. However, existing approaches largely rely on visual supervision and produce latent representations that lack sufficient semantic richness, limiting their ability to support diverse region-level reasoning tasks. In this work, we introduce Semantic-Enriched Latent Visual Reasoning (SLVR), a two-stage learning framework that enriches latent representations with attribute-level visual semantics and aligns them with diverse reasoning objectives. In the first stage, SLVR learns semantically enriched region-centric latents under fine-grained attribute supervision. In the second stage, we design Multi-query Group Relative Policy Optimization (M-GRPO) to align latent representations across multiple queries grounded in the same region. To support this framework, we construct SLV-Set, comprising approximately 400K region-level attribute annotations and 800K multi-query question answering samples, and introduce SV-QA, a benchmark that evaluates latent reasoning under semantic variation. Experiments demonstrate that SLVR improves the robustness and semantic consistency of latent visual reasoning compared to existing baselines.

When Stored Evidence Stops Being Usable: Scale-Conditioned Evaluation of Agent Memory

Jiaqi Shao, Yiyi Lu, Yunzhen Zhang, Bing Luo

Memory-agent evaluations report fixed-snapshot accuracy or retrieval quality, but these scores do not show whether evidence remains usable as irrelevant sessions (sessions not annotated as task-relevant evidence for the query) accumulate. We present a scale-conditioned evaluation protocol for agent memory under evidence-preserving growth: for each query, task evidence is held fixed while irrelevant sessions are added. The protocol logs agent-memory trajectories and reports four diagnostics: budget-compliant reliability, tail memory-call burden, failure-regime decomposition, and the usable-scale boundary where reliability falls below the target. Applied to LongMemEval and LoCoMo across flat, planar, and hierarchical memory interfaces, the protocol shows reliability loss is not a single phenomenon. On LongMemEval, HippoRAG stays within the two-call budget but loses 16-20 percentage points in budget-compliant reliability as irrelevant sessions are added; LiCoMemory's observed failures depend strongly on the agent, with Qwen3-8B exceeding the budget while Qwen3-32B and Qwen3-235B remain reliable in the tested range. The result supports a framework for making scalable-memory claims conditional on agent, interface, scale range, and interaction budget. Benchmarking Coding Agents under Evolving Requirements

Jia Feng, Alyssa Wu, Cuiyun Gao, Yunlong Wang, Songyuanyi Lu, Zhichao Hu

Software development with coding agents often begins with a rough request that users refine after trying the implementation. Final correctness alone does not capture the repeated guidance this process requires. We introduce FeatureLoop, a benchmark of 61 human-reviewed tasks from 34 repositories across five primary programming languages and seven software forms. Each task follows one development goal in a persistent workspace through evolution feedback, which adds or clarifies requirements, and completion feedback, which reports failures of stated requirements. Cumulative executable checks track new behavior, repair, and preservation of earlier functionality. We evaluate 12 frontier models and find that the strongest completes 72.1% of tasks with both feedback types. Across models, however, only 15.4% of observed failed stages recover within two corrective revisions. Further analysis reveals incomplete repairs, regressions, and model-specific differences in feedback use and token efficiency, identifying obstacles to reliable, low-intervention development.

STRATA: Reinforcement-driven Active Sampling with Tri-paradigm Adaptation for Efficient 3D Spatial Transcriptomics

Junchao Zhu, Ruining Deng, Chongyu Qu, Zhengyi Lu, Yanfan Zhu, Yuechen Yang, Yu Wang, Shilin Zhao 等 10 位作者

Spatial transcriptomics (ST) enables joint characterization of tissue morphology and gene expression. However, 3D volumetric ST acquisition remains expensive. AI-driven methods offer a low-cost alternative but remain limited in accuracy, while recent 2D section-wise ST acquisition still rely on dense grid sampling, resulting in redundant measurements and undersampling of biologically informative regions. To bridge the gap, we propose STRATA, a reinforcement-driven active sampling framework with tri-paradigm adaptation for reconstructing dense 3D transcriptomic maps from sparse voxel-wise ST acquisition. STRATA constructs a 3D graph integrating H&E morphology with single-cell priors and employs a reinforcement learning agent to estimate morphological sparsity and transcriptomic informativeness, enabling budget-aware selection of informative spots. Given these sparse measurements, an adaptive tri-paradigm predictor combines retrieval, regression, and cross-layer imputation through lightweight fusion, dynamically weighting their contributions. Experiments across datasets demonstrate improved sampling efficiency and accuracy, particularly under low-budget settings. Code is available at https://github.com/Junchao-Zhu/STRATA.

FeatureArc: Benchmarking Coding Agents on Evolving Features

Yunlong Wang, Alyssa Wu, Cuiyun Gao, Jia Feng, Songyuanyi Lu, Zhichao Hu

A software feature usually evolves over time: developers extend its first version as new use cases and requirements arrive, and each extension builds on code written earlier. Most feature benchmarks evaluate a single request on a fixed codebase. Feature evolution requires evaluating successive extensions on an agent's own earlier code and checking whether the feature remains correct. We introduce FeatureArc to evaluate coding agents on evolving features, together with a pipeline that constructs its tasks from repository histories. The benchmark combines dependencies between successive stages of the same feature, explicit requirements and interface contracts, and executable checks across four programming languages. The pipeline validates fail-to-pass (F2P) tests for new behavior and pass-to-pass (P2P) tests for existing behavior on the reference code before and after each stage. We evaluated 10 coding agents on 73 manually reviewed tasks of 2 to 10 stages. Each agent works in one persistent session and workspace without external test feedback or rollback. The evaluation reveals a gap between first-stage and whole-feature success: pooled success falls from 62.7% at the first stage to 28.5% when the whole feature is tested on the final code. Trajectory analysis identifies inherited defects as a common failure mechanism, present in 72.9% of failed later stages. These earlier errors often remain undetected: in stages following a failure, agents leave the earlier error unnoticed about 95% of the time, and their self-tests rarely revisit earlier stages. Evolving a feature autonomously, without human checks between stages, therefore remains a substantial challenge for current coding agents. At Tencent, the pipeline extends internal evaluations to this setting and guides the development of Hunyuan, Tencent's family of large language models.

Acoustic Signature Optimisation for Bioinspired Flapping-Wing Micro Aerial Vehicles

Yi Lun Duh, Krispin C. V. Broers, Sophie F. Armanini

Flapping-wing micro air vehicles are prized for quiet flight, yet the few existing measurements show engineered wings to be 15-30 dB louder than the animals they imitate. This paper investigates two passive geometric approaches to reduce the acoustic signature of a flapping membrane wing, and applies these to an exemplary wing. A significant sound source in flapping wings is the impulsive click radiated at stroke reversal, when a slack membrane snaps between two curvatures. Our first noise-reduction approach optimises the wing's venation layout, based on an analytical model of the reversal click as a dynamic snap-through of the membrane. The optimised venation pattern was manufactured and resulted in a reduction of up to 8 dB during the reversal snap in experiments. During testing, the venation was found to be sensitive to orientation rather than thickness. Secondly, an additive trailing-edge fringe inspired by hummingbird feathers was shown to further reduce the broadband swoosh by 3-4 dB at no lift cost, matching a cut serration wing without removing lifting area.

Benchmark Radar: A Living Database and Search Engine for AI Benchmarks and Evaluation

Koutian Wu, Wenjun Zhang, Junjie Zhou, Pengqian Han, Qiming Bao, Ergan Shang, Jiayu Wang, Junkai Wang 等 16 位作者

Benchmark researchers and developers of large language models (LLMs) and other AI systems need to find relevant evaluations, locate their benchmark datasets and code, and understand the settings behind reported scores. We present Benchmark Radar, a living database and search engine for retrieval and discovery of AI benchmarks, covering LLM evaluation, agentic and tool-use benchmarks, coding, reasoning, safety, and domain-specific evaluations. The system combines daily discovery of benchmark papers, repositories, datasets, and releases with a searchable benchmark catalog, mentions in model cards and technical reports, and score histories. It retains source identities and citations so readers can inspect candidate benchmarks and their evaluation evidence. Daily discovery draws on 37 sources: 13 direct connectors and 24 first-party research and engineering feeds. The catalog contains 1,283 source records drawn from 4 benchmark catalogs and 12,916 numeric observations on 790 records. We describe collection and retrieval, audit the full catalog, and examine benchmark saturation, adoption trends, and the limits of score comparisons. A worked example walks through a complete prior-art search, showing how to query the catalog and inspect benchmark evidence when designing a new evaluation. We release the web dashboard with a benchmark leaderboard, a Pareto frontier view of score against measured use, saturation and trend views, daily feeds, downloadable evidence, a command-line interface (CLI) for offline queries, and reproducible analysis.

Rollback: Experience Backtracking in World Models for Policy Improvement

Jiayi Luo, Yang Zhang, Liliang Chen, Nan Wang, Chen Gao, Boxiang Qiu, Zhuoxuan Li, Baorui Peng 等 16 位作者

Action-conditioned world models offer a scalable alternative to costly real-world interaction for improving robot policies. However, existing world-model-based methods largely treat world models as forward-only surrogates of the physical environment, leaving untapped a capability no physical environment affords: rewinding to past decision points to explore counterfactual futures. We introduce Rollback, a policy improvement paradigm that turns world models from passive simulators into counterfactual engines: it rolls back to critical decision points, branches into alternative actions, and contrasts their outcomes to attribute success to individual decisions. This concentrates imagination where it matters most and distills counterfactual outcomes into fine-grained, action-level supervision without a separately learned value model. We build a scalable training system that unifies distributed world-model search with asynchronous real-robot execution, forming a self-reinforcing cycle: real-world experience continually sharpens the world model, and a sharper world model in turn drives further policy improvement. We term the world-model side of this cycle test-time physics grounding, a capability that hand-built physics simulators lack: while the world model serves as the training environment, real transitions from the policy it trains correct its dynamics through a lightweight LoRA pipeline. Experiments on three challenging real-world tasks show that Rollback improves success rates over the strongest baseline by an absolute 10.67%, 11.11%, and 11.85% on block extraction, ball tossing, and tabletop curling, respectively, while achieving more stable improvement throughout training. Although initialized from teleoperated demonstrations far below human level, Rollback surpasses the average success rate of human players on both ball tossing and tabletop curling within 8 hours of training.

AgentProofBench: Benchmarking Reusable Verifiers for Web Agents

Jingjie Ning, Xueqi Li, Yi Lu, Yibo Kong

Reusable Web-agent verification requires a rule to follow changing requirements and support subsequent execution. We introduce AgentProofBench, which connects paired tests of a frozen acceptance rule to execution from identical saved openings. The resource spans 97 tasks, 79 families, and four Web services. Experiments with DeepSeek Flash/Pro establish two linked measurements. Across 48 families, complete-panel and decision-replay tests retain 82/96 Flash and 79/96 Pro source programs; paired reuse-rebuild BA intervals are [-5.47, 1.57] and [-10.16, 0.00] percentage points. Across 22 execution families, deployment-state panel correctness separates program assignments whose two saved openings are both delivered correctly: 32/33 assignments with error-free panels, versus 1/11 with panel errors. All reference-defined program-gate regressions and withheld deliveries occur in the latter group. Neutral continuation attains the highest correct delivery under the tested generic feedback, providing a concrete baseline for measuring the value added by a gate. Released instructions, states, programs, reference rules, and trajectories connect each test failure to its execution consequences. AgentProofBench makes reusable verification assessable at both the requirement and policy levels.

When Efficiency Meets Safety: A Benchmark Security Analysis of KV Cache Compression in Large Language Models

Xiaoxiao Ma, Kuofeng Gao Tsinghua University, Zeyi Lu, Wenxi Jiang, Hao Fang Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications and Tsinghua University, Hao Wu Tsinghua University, Tsinghua University, Bin Chen Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, Shu-Tao Xia Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University

Key-Value (KV) caching is widely used in large language models (LLMs) to enable long-context inference efficiently, yet its security implications remain underexplored. We present the first systematic study of how KV cache compression interacts with jailbreak attacks, evaluating four model families under diverse jailbreak attacks. We identify a double-edged effect: (i) on one hand, compression can induce Accidental Robustness, where optimization-based and encoding-based attacks fail due to Malicious Semantic Eviction, where attacks’ own attention redirection reduces the malicious query’s cache importance, and Gradient Mismatch where discrete compression operations break jailbreak optimization. (ii) On the other hand, Vulnerability Paradox arises under merging-based compression for human-designed Attacks, where aggressive merging in shallow layers triggers functional head collapse, amplifying attack success rates. To address this, we propose Safe-CAM, a history-aware, per-head feedback merging strategy that prevents safety degradation while maintaining efficiency. Experiments show Safe-CAM fully restores safety (0% ASR) and improves benign task performance with minimal overhead. Our study highlights that KV cache compression is not only an efficiency mechanism but also a safety-critical design factor in LLM deployment.

ReviewGrounder: Improving Review Substantiveness with Rubric-Guided, Tool-Integrated Agents

Zhuofeng Li, Yi Lu University of Waterloo and Texas A&M University - College Station, Dongfu Jiang, Haoxiang Zhang, Yuyang Bai, Chuan Li Lambda, Yu Wang University of Oregon and Vanderbilt University, Shuiwang Ji Texas A&M University 等 10 位作者

The rapid rise in AI conference submissions has driven increasing exploration of large language models (LLMs) for peer review support. However, LLM-based reviewers often generate superficial, formulaic comments lacking substantive, evidence-grounded feedback. We attribute this to the underutilization of two key components of human reviewing: explicit rubrics and contextual grounding in existing work. To address this, we introduce ReviewBench, a benchmark evaluating review text according to paper-specific rubrics derived from official guidelines, the paper’s content, and human-written reviews. We further propose ReviewGrounder, a rubric-guided, tool-integrated multi-agent framework that decomposes reviewing into drafting and grounding stages, enriching shallow drafts via targeted evidence consolidation. Experiments on ReviewBench show that ReviewGrounder, using a Phi-4-14B-based drafter and a GPT-OSS-120B-based grounding stage, consistently outperforms baselines with substantially stronger/larger backbones (e.g., GPT-4.1 and DeepSeek-R1-670B) in both alignment with human judgments and rubric-based review quality across 8 dimensions. The code is available at https://github.com/EigenTom/ReviewGrounder.

Dynamic Emotion and Personality Profiling for Multimodal Deception Detection

Li Zheng, Yanyi Luo, Hao Fei National University of Singapore and University of Oxford, Yuzhe Ding Wuhan University, Yujie Huang Wuhan University, Fei Li Wuhan University, Chong Teng Wuhan University, Donghong Ji Wuhan University

Deception detection is of great significance for ensuring information security and conducting public opinion analysis, with personality factors and emotion cues playing a critical role. However, existing methods lack sample-level dynamic annotations for emotions and personality. In this paper, we propose an innovative multi-model multi-prompt annotation scheme and a strict label quality evaluation standard, and establish a multimodal joint detection dataset DDEP for deception, emotion, and personality. Meanwhile, we propose Rel-DDEP, an adaptive reliability-weighted fusion framework. Our framework quantifies uncertainty by mapping modal features to a high-dimensional Gaussian distribution space. It then performs reliability-weighted fusion and incorporates an alignment module and a sorting constraint module to achieve joint detection of deception, emotion, and personality. Experimental results on the MDPE and DDEP datasets show that our Rel-DDEP significantly outperforms the existing state-of-the-art baseline models in three tasks. The F1 score of the deception detection increases by 2.53%, that of the emotion detection increases by 2.66%, and that of the personality detection increases by 9.30%. The experiments fully verify the necessity of annotating dynamic emotion and personality labels for each sample and the effectiveness of reliability-weighted fusion.

MIND: From Passive Mimicry to Active Reasoning through Capability-Aware Multi-Perspective CoT Distillation

Jin Cui Xi'an Jiaotong University, Jiaqi Guo Nankai University, Jiepeng Zhou, Ruixuan Yang, Jiayi Lu, Jiajun Xu Xi'an Jiaotong University, Jiangcheng Song, Boran Zhao 等 9 位作者

While Large Language Models (LLMs) have emerged with remarkable capabilities in complex tasks through Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning, practical resource constraints have sparked interest in transferring these abilities to smaller models. However, achieving both domain performance and cross-domain generalization remains challenging. Existing approaches typically restrict students to following a single golden rationale and treat different reasoning paths independently. Due to distinct inductive biases and intrinsic preferences, alongside the student’s evolving capacity and reasoning preferences during training, a teacher’s “optimal” rationale could act as out-of-distribution noise. This misalignment leads to a degeneration of the student’s latent reasoning distribution, causing suboptimal performance. To bridge this gap, we propose MIND, a capability-adaptive framework that transitions distillation from passive mimicry to active cognitive construction. We synthesize diverse teacher perspectives through a novel “Teaching Assistant” network. By employing a novel Feedback-Driven Inertia Calibration mechanism, this network utilizes inertia-filtered training loss to align supervision with the student’s current adaptability, effectively enhancing performance while mitigating catastrophic forgetting. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MIND achieves state-of-the-art performance on both in-distribution and out-of-distribution benchmarks, and our sophisticated latent space analysis further confirms the mechanism of reasoning ability internalization.
