Pneuma: A Large-Scale Real-World Time Series Benchmark for Commercial Aircraft Predictive Maintenance

Predictive maintenance is vital for commercial aviation, yet progress remains hindered by the lack of public, large-scale real-world datasets. As a result, most methods are developed and evaluated on proprietary data, limiting reproducibility. We introduce Pneuma, the first publicly available large-scale benchmark for predictive maintenance using onboard time series from in-service commercial aircraft. Built around bleed air systems, Pneuma contains over 920 million multivariate time steps across four aircraft types and 9 verified fault scenarios, directly aligned with real maintenance logs. The dataset exhibits key real-world challenges, including substantial class imbalance, subtle fault evolution patterns, and significant variance across aircraft configurations. We structure the benchmark around three tasks: multivariate forecasting, supervised fault classification, and unsupervised anomaly detection, with labels derived from actual maintenance records. Under unified settings, we evaluate over 25 models from four methodological families on 9 carefully curated subsets. The results reveal that even strong contemporary models struggle with subtle fault signatures. Further analyses show consistent gains from additional in-context examples and multivariate inference, while forecasting quality is strongly associated with anomaly detection performance. Together, these findings provide practical insights into effectively modeling complex real-world aviation time series. We hope Pneuma will serve as a rigorous and reproducible foundation for advancing data-driven predictive maintenance toward real-world deployment in commercial aviation.

Omni-InteractScope: Benchmarking Proactive and Agentic Interaction in Continuous Omnimodal Streams

Omnimodal large language models (Omni-LLMs) are increasingly expected to assist users while observing continuous audiovisual streams. However, existing evaluations provide limited insight into how reliably these models connect stream evidence and user needs to timely, sustained interventions. We introduce \textbf{Omni-InteractScope}, a benchmark of 1,479 human-annotated, cross-reviewed interactions with 1,790 temporal targets across eight task groups. It links input modalities, event triggers, intervention types, and user needs, covering event-timed tool invocation and query-free assistance alongside notifications, warnings, state tracking, and continuous responses. Our experimental results on the proposed benchmark reveal three critical limitations of current Omni-LLMs: (1) \textbf{Timely tool invocation remains unreliable}: all 12 evaluated models produce an on-time first response for at most 40\% of tool-invocation targets, and joint timing-and-tool accuracy reaches at most 32.0\%. (2) \textbf{Query-free reminders remain poorly covered}: all evaluated models achieve lower timely reference-target recall on query-free reminders than on explicit questions, measured on their respective target sets. Reminder recall never exceeds 23.0\%. (3) \textbf{End-to-end guidance coverage remains limited}: nine models cover none of the 26 guidance sequences in full, and the remaining three cover only one to three sequences each. Targeted controls further show that tool-invocation scores alone do not establish event grounding and that reminder coverage depends on response history and frequency. These findings motivate developing and evaluating streaming assistants for timely action, initiative under general user needs, and coverage of entire response sequences.

UnityBench-Mini3D: Evaluating LLM Agents for 3D Game Development in Unity

Yijun Zhou, Minghao Shao, Ke Zhang, Renkai Yuan, Hongbo Yuan, Bin Hu, Bozhao Qian, Hongxia Shen 等 23 位作者

Game development stresses coding agents in ways general software engineering does not: correctness depends on how engine APIs, serialized scene state, and runtime behavior interact, not on source code alone. Existing benchmarks mainly target platforms such as Godot and heavily rely on LLM judges or coarse task-level outcomes. We present UnityBench-Mini3D, a benchmark of 77 project-level Unity tasks organized around seven expert-defined skill categories rather than tutorials or genres, with three difficulty tiers. Each task pairs a complete Unity project with natural-language requirements and is evaluated using 1,178 held-out, human-authored milestone tests covering scene structure, component configuration, and runtime behavior. This in-engine evaluation provides deterministic partial credit, localizes failures, and distinguishes partial implementations from complete solutions without relying on subjective judges. Across 21 models and 9 coding harnesses, the average pass rate reaches 80.9% on easy tasks but falls to 35.2% on hard tasks, with just 57.7% overall. UnityBench-Mini3D provides a reproducible, diagnostic testbed distinguishing systems across difficulty levels.

OmniReasoning: Pushing the Limits of Audio-Visual Joint Reasoning

Junming Lin, Yuxuan Wang, Zhenxin Lei, Yuxin Liu, Ruixun Liu, Yinsong Yan, Ling Wang, Minghao Han 等 14 位作者

Recent advances have enabled unified omni-modal models in understanding audio, vision, and language. However, existing benchmarks, training data, and learning methods largely treat the modalities independently, leaving the capability of audio-visual joint reasoning poorly evaluated and insufficiently elicited. We address this gap with a benchmark, data engine, and learning method. First, we introduce OmniReasoningBench, a benchmark where both audio and visual evidence are indispensable. It comprises 1,150 multiple-choice and open-ended questions across two tasks, reasoning over video and reasoning beyond video. Second, we develop a data engine OmniQA. It automatically constructs evidence-grounded QA pairs that explicitly necessitate audio-visual joint reasoning, together with time-stamped clue chains that guide the annotation of thinking process. Besides our benchmark, this engine produces training data OmniReasoning-SFT-112K and OmniReasoning-RL-19K. Finally, we propose an on-policy self-distillation method Modality-Factored Self-Distillation (MFSD). It evaluates each sampled response under modality-specific clue contexts, disentangling the contributions of individual clues and their cross-modal interactions for token-level credit assignment. With our training data and learning method, our model OmniReasoning-30B-A3B achieves 50.0% on OmniVideoBench and 42.5% on OmniReasoningBench, improving the base model Qwen3-Omni-30B-A3B-Thinking by 12.8 and 9.3 percentage points, respectively. Moreover, it delivers substantial gains on general and long-video benchmarks, including Video-MME-v2. We hope our work offers a solid step for facilitating future research in omni-modal joint reasoning.

AI models capable of comprehending humor hold real-world promise—for example, enhancing engagement in human-machine interactions. To gauge and diagnose the capacity of multimodal large language models (MLLMs) for humor understanding, we introduce v-HUB, a novel video humor understanding benchmark. v-HUB comprises a curated collection of non-verbal short videos, reflecting real-world scenarios where humor can be appreciated purely through visual cues. We pair each video clip with rich annotations to support a variety of evaluation tasks and analyses, including a novel study of environmental sound that can enhance humor. To broaden its applicability, we construct an open-ended QA task, making v-HUB readily integrable into existing video understanding task suites. We evaluate a diverse set of MLLMs, from specialized Video-LLMs to versatile OmniLLMs that can natively process audio, covering both open-source and proprietary domains. The experimental results expose the difficulties MLLMs face in comprehending humor from visual cues alone. Our findings also demonstrate that incorporating audio helps with video humor understanding, highlighting the promise of integrating richer modalities for complex video understanding tasks.

Temporal Leakage in Search-Engine Date-Filtered Web Retrieval: A Retrospective Forecasting Case Study

Ali El Lahib, Ying-Jieh Xia, Zehan Li, Yuxuan Wang, Xinyu Pi

Search-engine date filters are widely used to enforce pre-cutoff retrieval in retrospective evaluations of search-augmented forecasters. We show this approach is unreliable across two major search engines: auditing Google Search’s before: filter and DuckDuckGo’s date-range filter, we find that at least one retrieved page contains major post-cutoff leakage for 71% of questions on Google and 81% on DuckDuckGo, and the answer is directly revealed for 41% and 55%, respectively. Using gpt-oss-120b to forecast with these leaky documents, we demonstrate inflated prediction accuracy (Brier score 0.10 vs. 0.24 with leak-free documents). We characterize recurring leakage mechanisms, including updated articles, related-content modules, unreliable metadata, and absence-based signals, and argue that date-restricted search on these engines is insufficient for credible retrospective evaluation. We recommend stronger retrieval safeguards or evaluation on frozen, time-stamped web snapshots.
