Most vision-language-action (VLA) policies decouple manipulation from cognition by bolting an external action mechanism onto a vision-language model (VLM)--either quantizing actions into discrete tokens whose errors bear no stable correspondence to physical displacements, or delegating continuous trajectory generation to a separate action expert whose gradients compete with or are blocked from updating the VLM backbone. We argue that manipulation and cognition should instead be embodied in the same model, shifting from a decoupled VLA to an Embodied Vision-Language Model (eVLM). We introduce Concertina, an eVLM that places continuous trajectory representation, blockwise generation, and physical-coordinate supervision directly on the computation and parameter path of a shared diffusion VLM backbone. Each control timestep is encoded as one continuous latent action token in the backbone hidden space, and the shared Transformer reconstructs temporally ordered action blocks via the same corrupt-and-reconstruct operator used for multimodal pretraining. Active action projections account for only 0.21% of parameters in the 4.46B model with zero separate action-generator layers, compared with 16.5%-35.1% dedicated action-expert capacity in representative continuous VLAs. Using our proposed Action Interface Audit, we confirm that cross-time trajectory coupling emerges in the middle and late layers of the shared backbone rather than at the action interfaces. On standard benchmarks, Concertina achieves 98.15% average success on regular LIBERO, 85.9% on the 10,030-task LIBERO-Plus benchmark, and 4.142 average completed chain length on CALVIN ABC-D. We study nonparametric estimation and forecasting for GARCH-type processes and propose an iterated neural estimator that alternates between estimating the recursion map and updating the unobserved conditional variances. Under mild conditions, we establish finite-sample bounds for the time-averaged in-sample variance-path error and show that the estimator is minimax rate-optimal up to logarithmic factors. Under stationarity and mixing conditions, we establish the same rate for recursion-map estimation and derive finite-sample bounds for out-of-sample variance forecasts and expected excess Gaussian quasi-likelihood (QLIKE) loss. The convergence rates depend on the true lag orders and remain unchanged when the fitted orders are overspecified. Simulation studies illustrate the effectiveness of our estimators under nonlinear and time-varying volatility dynamics. Real-data applications suggest that our neural methods perform competitively and can incorporate option-price and high-frequency information.

Commercial language model APIs return only text, allowing a provider to cut costs by quietly routing a fraction of user requests to a cheaper substitute model while billing for the advertised one. Detecting such partial substitution is challenging because honest providers also alter the output distribution through undocumented decoding and serving choices, such as temperature scaling, sampling truncation, repetition and presence penalties, and default system prompts, forcing an audit to test against a composite null of legitimate configurations rather than a single reference. Our key insight is that these legitimate variations primarily shift response typicality across the entire batch, whereas partial substitution injects individual responses that remain anomalous under the claimed model. Building on this, we introduce API-TAIL, a typicality audit that first absorbs batch-level shifts by aligning a single effective temperature to center standardized surprisal scores across the audited batch, and then flags the endpoint if the number of remaining tail responses exceeds a threshold calibrated across legitimate configurations. Evaluated on real-world API responses and constructed substitution mixtures, API-TAIL controls false alarms across diverse honest providers and detects low-rate partial substitution with a small query budget. Under a common composite calibration, it outperforms the adapted rank- and MMD-based audit baselines.

JEV decision models pair a language model backbone with a lightweight scoring head to select among natural-language options. Direct selection compares candidate answers within one request, whereas entailment reranking evaluates each candidate in a separate natural language inference (NLI) request over fixed relation options. We examine whether the readout and adaptation choices used for direct selection remain effective for cross-request reranking. We combine a mean-span readout with selective backbone adaptation. Mean-span pooling replaces the option-ending pointer with an average of the contextualized states inside each NLI option, without adding head parameters. Selective adaptation retains low-rank updates in attention and gated DeltaNet projections while removing feed-forward adapters. On MC11, which averages accuracy over eleven reranking configurations from seven sources, selective adaptation improves NeoHorse-1-4B accuracy over the all-module baseline while cutting trainable parameters by more than half, and mean-span pooling yields further consistent gains at the same parameter count.

Long-horizon agentic systems become long-context systems by accumulation rather than through a single long document, since every step reassembles a prompt from role instructions, tool and sub-agent descriptions, recalled memories, dialogue history, and previous tool outputs, separately for every agent. This paper studies how such accumulated context can be trained, evaluated, and managed in hierarchical multi-agent assistants. We present HiMA-Ecom, a hierarchical multi-agent benchmark for e-commerce assistants with 22.8K instances, of which 17.7K carry memory entries in context, pairing agent-specific supervised fine-tuning data with system-level supervision for end-to-end multi-agent reinforcement learning. Building upon it, HiMA-R1 keeps the context budget of a trajectory under control through Variance-Reduction Group Relative Policy Optimization (VR-GRPO), which samples along an initial trajectory so that sampling cost grows additively with trajectory length and updates the agents with the largest reward variance, together with an efficiency reward on trajectory length and a memory evolution mechanism that repurposes GRPO rewards as cost-free signals for what stays in context. Agents built upon 3B and 7B open-source models match DeepSeek-R1 and surpass DeepSeek-V3 by 6.0 points on average, while reward-driven memory reduces the update steps needed for convergence by roughly 55%.

Interactive world generation requires models to follow successive commands while preserving relevant history and action consequences. We present Hy-Nomas, a video world model with an 8B diffusion backbone that supports free-form text instructions and continuous camera control across multiple interaction turns. It generates variable-length segments conditioned on current inputs and cached history. Our central design aligns structured video captions with action-aware causal attention: descriptive context remains accessible across segments, while action instructions are restricted to their intended temporal windows. A vision-language Prompt Enhancer (PE) translates user requests and multimodal interaction histories into structured conditions for the next segment. A multi-stage curriculum progressively introduces causal generation, text interaction, camera control, and training on model-generated histories, followed by diffusion distillation. In human evaluation, Hy-Nomas shows superior performance over existing world models. We release model weights, code and benchmarks, together with a lightweight adaptation workflow, to support reproducible research on interactive world generation.

Reasoning models trained with Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) now produce chains of thought thousands of tokens long, and recent studies reveal that such training is prone to policy collapse. Entropy regularization is the standard remedy, but it works by pushing probability mass away from the few tokens that carry it and toward the vast low-probability tail of the vocabulary, and it applies this force once for every token of the reasoning trace. This puts the bonus in direct conflict with the entropy decay that convergence requires, and makes its coefficient difficult to set in the long-trace regime. To resolve this tension, we propose Info-GRPO, an information-theoretic framework that cultivates correlation between the policy and a latent prior. Rather than raising entropy everywhere, Info-GRPO builds on the mutual information between a latent variable and the trajectory it induces: augmenting prompts with latent seeds during training lets the model explore diverse policies correlated with the prior, while the seed-conditioned entropy is guided toward convergence. Diversity is therefore carried across whole reasoning traces rather than by per-token randomness, and exploration no longer fights entropy reduction. Experiments show that Info-GRPO outperforms vanilla GRPO and entropy-regularized GRPO across diverse reasoning benchmarks. On AIME24, it improves $Avg@8$ over GRPO by 3.75%, 1.66%, 4.16%, and 4.17% on four backbones, and it reaches the same majority-vote accuracy with $8\times$ fewer samples. Code and models will be publicly released.

Deploying production-ready multi-agent systems (MAS) in complex industrial environments remains challenging due to limitations in scalability, observability, and autonomous evolution. We present OxyGent, an open-source framework driven by two core novelties: a unified Oxy abstraction and the OxyBank evolution engine. The unified abstraction encapsulates agents, tools, LLMs, and reasoning flows as pluggable atomic components, enabling Lego-like scalable system composition and non-intrusive monitoring. To enhance observability, OxyGent introduces permission-driven dynamic planning that replaces rigid workflows with execution graphs generated at runtime, providing adaptive visualizations. Furthermore, to support continuous evolution, OxyBank serves as an AI asset management platform that drives automated data backflow, annotation, and joint evolution. Empirical evaluations and real-world case studies show that OxyGent provides a robust and scalable foundation for MAS. OxyGent is fully open-sourced under the Apache License 2.0 at https://github.com/jd-opensource/OxyGent.

Humans naturally possess the spatial reasoning ability to form and manipulate images and structures of objects in space. There is an increasing effort to endow Vision-Language Models (VLMs) with similar spatial reasoning capabilities. However, it remains unclear whether these models truly understand and manipulate spatial objects or not. To address this question, we propose a new evaluation framework aimed at assessing the performance of VLMs in spatial deformation reasoning tasks. Specifically, we construct a benchmark for spatial deformation reasoning from 2D to 3D. We explore whether the model can effectively perform spatial deformation reasoning from two directions: forward reasoning (given the operations, find the final state) and reverse reasoning (given the final state, determine the operations). We adopt a ladder competition format, using the number of deformation steps as the level classification criterion, with the goal of exploring the boundaries of the model’s deformation reasoning capabilities. Interestingly, the benchmarking results reveal that almost no model demonstrates plausible spatial deformation reasoning abilities. Furthermore, even after applying targeted training and mainstream reasoning enhancement methods, the models are still unable to perform well on 3D spatial deformation reasoning.

The quadratic computational cost of traditional attention mechanisms poses a major bottleneck to the scalability and practical deployment of large language models (LLMs), particularly in long-context scenarios. To improve efficiency, existing approaches often enforce rigid structural constraints such as local attention windows. However, these strategies typically lead to substantial performance degradation on tasks requiring precise long-range recall. In this work, we propose MATCH, a scalable and efficient framework that augments sparsified attention mechanisms with dynamically integrated in-context information through an efficient retrieval system. Empirical results show that MATCH significantly improves the performance of sparse-attention models on both synthetic and real-world natural-language tasks. These findings highlight the versatility of MATCH as a general approach for enhancing in-context retrieval capabilities while maintaining the efficiency benefits of sparse attention architectures.
