Sekai: Incremental Event Memory for Generalized Reasoning Video Segmentation

Zhengtao Liu, Jinrong Xu, Shiu-Hong Kao, Huixin Sun, Yicong Li

Online reasoning video segmentation (Online RVS) requires a model to segment query-referred objects as a video streams in, using only the frames observed so far. Existing formulations largely assume a fixed target set throughout the video, overlooking a fundamental property of streaming reasoning: as new events occur, the objects that satisfy a query may change over time. To address this, we propose a new task, Generalized Reasoning Video Segmentation (GRVS), where the target set depends on query-relevant events accumulated over the observed video history. As new evidence accumulates, the target set can evolve from empty to one or multiple objects, requiring a model to continuously maintain target validity while localizing the valid objects currently in view. To evaluate GRVS, we build Isekai, a diagnostic benchmark of 60 videos and 197 queries across 11 temporal query families, with 12,569 scoring points whose target sets are causally annotated over time. We further propose Sekai, an online framework with two complementary components: an Event Memory Reasoner (EMR) that maintains query-relevant events and evolving target states in structured memory, and a Memory-Grounded Decoder (MGD) that identifies valid targets from this memory and localizes them in the current frame. Experiments show that Sekai significantly outperforms existing online RVS methods, achieving 50.33 J&F and improving over the strongest baseline by 3.2 points. Code, example annotations, and evaluation scripts are available at https://github.com/zenastangbi/Sekai.

D3D: Decoupled Diffusion Drafting for Asynchronous Speculative Decoding

Baoyou Chen, Ruiqiao Mei, Guancong Lin, Tao Song, Weihao Yuan, Qun Liu, Siyu Zhu

Target-conditioned diffusion drafters predict candidate tokens in parallel, yet each new block must wait for updated target-model hidden states. This forces drafting and verification to run sequentially, limiting speedup even though each block is generated in one pass. We introduce D3D, a standalone diffusion drafter that removes this inter-round dependency. D3D combines blockwise denoising with auxiliary autoregressive supervision to achieve long accepted prefixes without target hidden states. This independence lets D3D draft successor blocks during verification in one packed pass, enabling asynchronous speculative decoding. We progressively prune layers according to their effect on acceptance length to reduce the cost of packed drafting. Removing five of 36 layers retains over 99\% of mean acceptance length across three benchmarks with Qwen3-8B as the target. Across seven benchmarks, D3D averages 5.00$\times$ and 5.71$\times$ decoding speedup with Qwen3-8B and Qwen3-32B targets, compared with 4.03$\times$ and 3.67$\times$ for DFlash. On GSM8K with Qwen3-32B, speedup reaches 7.48$\times$. Code is publicly available at https://github.com/fudan-generative-vision/D3D.

Spectrally Routed Diffusion Policy for Multi-Task Robotic Manipulation

Mingcong Li, Yihan Zhou, Jiayu Qu, Xueyang Guo, Yilin Mo

Diffusion-based policies have achieved strong performance on single-task robotic manipulation. However, a single model trained jointly on multiple tasks consistently underperforms the per-task specialists trained on the same demonstrations. We focus on two challenges. First, the convolutional encoders commonly used in diffusion-based policies produce visual conditions that are not discriminative enough. Second, gradients from incompatible action modes update the shared denoiser's dense parameters along the same directions, causing destructive interference during joint training. To address both, we propose SR-DP (Spectrally Routed Diffusion Policy). A frozen VGGT encoder with a spatial-compression adapter produces compact multi-scale semantic-geometric tokens, a task-discriminative visual condition for tasks that share a workspace. We first train the denoiser as a standard diffusion policy, then decompose selected linear layers by SVD into a frozen basis of orthogonal rank-one experts, adapted through spectral routing and Householder input rotations. On six RoboTwin tasks, SR-DP averages a 68.4% success rate, surpassing multi-task VO-DP by 21.8 points and the strongest per-task baseline by 3.8 points. On four real-world bimanual tasks, Stage 2 reaches a 43.0% average success rate and improves over Stage 1 by 19.0 points.

ToPA: Block-wise Toeplitz Adaptation for Expressive and Efficient Fine-Tuning

Sicong Li, Qianqian Xu, Zhiyong Yang, Zitai Wang, Longtao Huang, Xiaochun Cao, Qingming Huang

Parameter-Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) has emerged as a prevalent strategy for adapting large pre-trained models. Among PEFT techniques, reparameterization-based methods, particularly those that employ low-rank or sparsity structures, have attracted significant attention. However, these approaches often underperform full fine-tuning. Specifically, low-rank methods constrain the update rank, which is misaligned with the inherently high-rank nature of full fine-tuning. In contrast, sparsity-based techniques limit the flexibility of the parameter space and compromise connectivity across weights. To overcome these limitations, we explore the use of Toeplitz matrices, whose entries are constant along each diagonal, therefore providing a compact parameterization without imposing explicit rank or sparsity constraints. A straightforward approach is to update weights via a product of Toeplitz matrices. However, similar to RNNs, long multiplicative chains often lead to gradient instability. To address this issue, we propose \textbf{ToPA}, a more refined version of this idea that replaces standard Toeplitz matrices with block-wise Toeplitz, greatly increasing each factor's capacity and shortening the chain, thereby stabilizing training and improving expressiveness. We theoretically show that products of block-wise Toeplitz matrices can approximate arbitrary matrices under shorter chain length, justifying the structural design of ToPA. Furthermore, we demonstrate that ToPA offers greater expressivity than existing low-rank and sparse parameterizations. Empirical evaluations across 21 NLP and CV datasets, spanning 5 model architectures, consistently validate the effectiveness of ToPA.

Efficient Collaborative LLM Fine-Tuning over Heterogeneous Mobile Devices via Many Backbones to One Side-Network Tuning

Xingke Yang, Liang Li, Sicong Li, Liwei Guan, Hao Wang, Xiaoqi Qi, Jiang Liu, Xin Fu 等 9 位作者

Collaboratively fine-tuning (FT) large language models (LLMs) over heterogeneous mobile devices fosters immense potential applications of personalized intelligence. However, such a vision faces critical system challenges. Existing federated LLM fine-tuning approaches remain limited by prohibitive on-device resource overhead, straggler-prone synchronous aggregation, and the assumption of a unified pretrained backbone across heterogeneous devices. In this paper, we propose EC-MobiLLM, a novel design for efficient collaborative LLM fine-tuning across heterogeneous mobile devices and heterogeneous backbones. EC-MobiLLM adopts a server-assisted side-tuning paradigm to minimize on-device overhead and pioneers non-blocking asynchronous collaboration to accelerate training. Moreover, EC-MobiLLM introduces adaptive feature alignment to support collaboration across heterogeneous backbones, aligning with practical needs in real-world deployments. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that EC-MobiLLM can maintain robust fine-tuning performance while achieving extremely low on-device memory, with at least 95.2\% reduction in computation overhead, 93.2\% reduction in communication costs and $5.1\times$ faster convergence compared to existing methods, validating its efficacy for practical LLM adaptation over heterogeneous mobile devices.

Eco-MobiLLM: Efficient LLM Fine-Tuning on the Mobile Device via Server Assisted Side-Tuning

Xingke Yang, Liang Li, Zhiyi Wan, Sicong Li, Xiaoqi Qi, Jiang Liu, Tomoaki Ohtsuki, Xin Fu 等 9 位作者

There is a huge gap between numerous intriguing applications fostered by on-device large language model (LLM) fine-tuning (FT) from fresh mobile data and the limited resources of a mobile device. While existing server-assisted methods (e.g., split learning or side-tuning) may enable LLM FT on the local mobile device, they suffer from heavy communication burdens of activation transmissions. In addition, their multiple on-device forward passes over the same samples across training epochs lead to substantial iterative computation on the mobile device. To address those issues, we develop Eco-MobiLLM, an efficient LLM FT method which can be deployed on the mobile device via server-assisted side-tuning. To reduce communication cost, Eco-MobiLLM develops an activation shortcut that transmits only the tokens involved in the loss calculation instead of full activation matrices to guide the side network tuning. Besides, to improve computing efficiency and further accelerate FT convergence, Eco-MobiLLM introduces a novel two-stage training paradigm, which allows the server to reuse historical activations and saves the mobile device from repeatedly computing forward passes for the recurring data samples. Extensive experimental results demonstrate Eco-MobiLLM's superiority.

HaltNav: Reactive Visual Halting over Lightweight Topological Priors for Robust Vision-Language Navigation

Zihui Yu, Pingcong Li, Bichi Zhang, Sören Schwertfeger

Vision-and-Language Navigation (VLN) is shifting from rigid, step-by-step instruction following toward open-vocabulary, goal-oriented autonomy. Achieving this transition without exhaustive routing prompts requires agents to leverage structural priors. While prior work often assumes computationally heavy 2D/3D metric maps, we instead exploit a lightweight, text-based osmAG (OpenStreetMap Area Graph), a floorplan-level topological representation that is easy to obtain and maintain. However, global planning over a prior map alone is brittle in real-world deployments, where local connectivity can change (e.g., closed doors or crowded passages), leading to execution-time failures. To address this gap, we propose a hierarchical navigation framework HaltNav that couples the robust global planning of osmAG with the local exploration and instruction-grounding capability of VLN. Our approach features an MLLM-based brain module, which is capable of high-level task grounding and obstruction awareness. Conditioned on osmAG, the brain converts the global route into a sequence of localized execution snippets, providing the VLN executor with prior-grounded, goal-centric sub-instructions. Meanwhile, it detects local anomalies via a mechanism we term Reactive Visual Halting (RVH), which interrupts the local control loop, updates osmAG by invalidating the corresponding topology, and triggers replanning to orchestrate a viable detour. To train this halting capability efficiently, we introduce a data synthesis pipeline that leverages generative models to inject realistic obstacles into otherwise navigable scenes, substantially enriching hard negative samples. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our hierarchical framework outperforms several baseline methods without tedious language instructions, and significantly improves robustness for long-horizon vision-language navigation under environmental changes.

CAST-Bench: Tracing Every Sound to Its Source in Multi-Shot Audio-Video Generation

Yucong Liu, Qi Tian, Shuyuan Tu, Kaihang Pan, Weijie Kong, Chao Pan

Existing benchmarks for joint text-to-audio-video (T2AV) generation evaluate perceptual quality and audiovisual alignment, but balanced sound-source sam?pling and separate reporting by shot structure remain limited. This makes it dif?ficult to determine whether a specific sound is missing, attributed to the wrong source, or lost across shot transitions. To address this, we introduce CAST?BENCH, a benchmark designed to trace every generated sound back to its in?tended source in multi-shot audio-video generation. The core idea is to formu?late T2AV correctness as an audiovisual contract in which each requested sound must be emitted by the right source, synchronized with the corresponding visual action, and carry the right semantic content. Concretely, the benchmark orga?nizes 900 prompts into 9 sound-source categories, with 100 prompts per cate?gory, spanning speech, animals, instruments, ambient sounds, and other emitter types. The prompts include 439 single-shot and 461 multi-shot narratives, each derived from a structured specification that links every audio event to its emit?ter, subject, and temporal slot. The benchmark provides an 18-metric evaluation suite covering three dimensions: Visual Performance, Content Consistency, and Audio & Semantic Alignment. We further benchmark 12 representative gen?erators and find that visual quality is nearly saturated across leading systems, yet audio semantic scores still differ markedly. Across the nine shared mod?els, multi-shot prompts receive lower aggregate scores under the subset-specific scoring rules and yield different model rankings. Multi-person speech, con?sistent speaker identity across shots, and cross-shot event retention remain the main unresolved challenges. All prompts and evaluation code are available at https://github.com/yucong-liu/CAST-Bench-public.

MERIS: Adaptive Real-Time Scheduling of Refined Inference DAGs in Dynamic Robotic Environments

Zexin Li, Tao Ren, Johnathan Liu, Xiaoxi He, Cong Liu

Robots deployed in dynamic environments execute changing directed-acyclic-graph (DAG) workloads under limited compute and timing budgets. This article presents MERIS, a framework for model scheduling under real-time constraints that combines proportional intermediate deadlines, MIMONet-aware graph refinement, and event-driven synchronization for multi-task inference on resource-constrained robotic platforms. We distinguish three representations: the application DAG, each MIMONet's internal encoder/decoder graph, and the refined scheduling DAG, and make the scope of the timing argument explicit. If the profiled execution bounds, release assumptions, precedence barriers, and per-level capacity premises hold, satisfaction of the assigned sub-deadlines composes to the end-to-end deadline. For non-partitionable tasks, we define a profile-bounded admission rule; before interpreting that rule as empirical timing evidence, we require direct per-task completion checks. We report run-level QoE alongside the offered-node deadline missing rate, making explicit that run completion and successful service of every node are different outcomes. We propose a comprehensive minibenchmark for evaluating the performance of schedulers under various DNN-driven autonomous driving scenarios. Extensive experiments on Nano Orin, AGX Orin, and M3 Max demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.

RAP: Research Attention Prediction in Language Agents

Yingqian Wu, Jingcong Liang, Shengbin Yue, Siyuan Wang, Zhenfei Yin, Junchi Yu, Zhongyu Wei

LLM agents increasingly support research planning and execution, where judgments about current and anticipated research activity inform decisions. Yet whether they can infer changes across a whole field from the partial evidence they retrieve through online scholarly search remains unclear. We introduce Research Attention Prediction (RAP), a literature search benchmark for evaluating this ability. We build a local search environment from 356,357 dated arXiv papers and construct two complementary evaluation tasks. The benchmark comprises a Core set of 2,160 questions across 54 AI/ML fields and an Extended set covering 269 fields. Our evaluation and analysis of LLM agents show that search substantially improves stronger agents' recognition of recent changes, while forecasting gains remain limited or negative. Agents update forecasts across dates and adjust their investigations to forecasting goals, but these adaptations do not reliably yield accurate predictions of future shifts. Even for recent changes, final judgments can diverge from what the retrieved papers indicate. These findings show that agents can recognise some recent changes, yet reliably anticipating future research activity remains difficult despite changes in their answers and investigations.

CLaW: Codec-Guided Adaptive Latent Watermarking for Traceable Diffusion Image Generation

Huangchao Song, Lingyun Yu, Cong Li, Peiqi Jiang, Mingqi Fang, Hongtao Xie

With the rapid advancement of text-to-image diffusion models, increasingly realistic AI-generated content has raised serious concerns about misuse and copyright infringement. Digital watermarking offers a promising solution by enabling user-level traceability, yet existing methods remain difficult to deploy at scale, hindered by costly model retraining or detection, poor effectiveness-fidelity trade-offs, and limited robustness to image transformations. To address these challenges, we propose CLaW (Codec-guided Latent Watermarking), a robust and efficient watermarking framework for traceable diffusion image generation with frozen diffusion backbones and inversion-free detection. Specifically, CLaW first uses a pretrained watermark codec to map each watermark message to a latent residual, enabling low-cost sampling-time injection. Then, the residual is injected within a late denoising window, where image semantics are better preserved and the watermark signal is less perturbed by subsequent denoising updates, yielding a better balance between watermark effectiveness and image fidelity. Furthermore, we introduce a decoder-guided adaptive injection mechanism that uses decoding confidence as feedback to dynamically calibrate watermark strength, reinforcing weak watermark signals and improving robustness under image transformations. Extensive experiments show that CLaW preserves high visual fidelity and achieves state-of-the-art robustness under image transformations, enabling reliable user-level traceability.

AnyGameRenderer: Entity-Consistent Generative Rendering Across Games and an Entity-Level Benchmark

Ruicong Liu, Liangyang Ouyang, Fengbo Lan, Zhixiang Wang, Kaipeng Zhang

AI coding agents can now build small playable games in minutes, but the results usually look like programmer art: gray blockouts, colored geometric primitives, and flat semantic blobs. We present AnyGameRenderer, a video-to-video generative renderer that turns such footage into high-quality visuals with characters, motion detail, and effects. Throughout, it keeps the layout, camera, and every entity's position and timing intact. Our AnyGameRenderer generalizes across a wide range of genres that agents build, such as tower defense, auto-battlers, top-down survivors, turn-based battles, kart racing, and crowd runners. AnyGameRenderer takes plain video as its game-state input, with no complex representations such as engine G-buffers, per-object class labels, or low-poly proxies. Gray blockouts, colored primitives, semantic maps, and wireframes all work as input. It also preserves entity correspondence: group counts stay correct, and entities appear and disappear on the right frame. We implement AnyGameRenderer by LoRA fine-tuning MiniMax-H3 ref2va, a 33B reference-video-conditioned video generation model. Training uses ~10k paired clips from three sources: (i) multi-stream rendering data from 38 agent-made games; (ii) two-stream rendering data from Unreal Engine, with programmatically controlled crowds, count changes, and entity scales; and (iii) real gameplay recordings, with pairs reconstructed via 3D-box detection. To evaluate the entity correspondence, we propose an entity-level benchmark of 59 held-out cases with 753 entities, scored against ground-truth boxes. Compared with the base model, AnyGameRenderer better preserves entity correspondence: temporal match rises from 50.9% to 62.9%, missed count changes fall from 34.7% to 21.3%, and fewer entities are hallucinated or left unrendered. Debate-of-Thoughts: Resolving Knowledge Conflicts in LLMs Through Internal Deliberation

Guocong Li, Qirui Hu, Ping Wang Renmin University of China, Guofeng Zhang InSpatio and Zhejiang University, Jian Wu Zhejiang University, Hongxia Xu Zhejiang University

Large Language Models enhanced with Retrieval Augmented Generation show strong potential in knowledge intensive tasks. However, they often encounter knowledge conflicts, where retrieved information contradicts the model’s internal knowledge or exhibits internal inconsistencies. Existing methods treat this as a simplistic binary choice, forcing models to blindly trust external contexts or rigidly rely on memory, resulting in unreliable predictions that swing between sycophancy and stubbornness. We argue that a more principled approach is to embrace contradictions as opportunities for deeper reasoning. To this end, we introduce Debate-of-Thoughts (DoT), a framework that transforms conflict resolution into an active deliberation process. DoT guides a single model through three phases: 1) hypothesis generation, which forms competing perspectives; 2) internal debate, where the model acts as both a proponent and a critic to stress test each view; and 3) adjudication, where a judge module evaluates arguments based on evidence and logical consistency. We implement DoT via two complementary strategies: inference time prompt chaining and supervised fine tuning. Experiments across multiple conflict benchmarks show that DoT consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods, while generating transparent debate transcripts that explain its decisions. By improving both accuracy and interpretability under knowledge conflicts, DoT establishes a more reliable paradigm for retrieval augmented generation systems.

Beyond Static Alignment: Adaptive Arbitration for Semantic Incongruence in Semi-Supervised Multimodal Sentiment Analysis

Huicong Li, Xiangbo Ji, Wei Wu Inner Mongolia University

Multimodal sentiment analysis is fundamentally challenged by semantic incongruence, where ambiguous visual signals often conflict with explicit textual cues. In semi-supervised scenarios, naively fusing such noisy features contaminates the joint representation, while conventional static alignment strategies fail to effectively arbitrate conflicting modalities in this task, leading to error reinforcement during self-training. To this end, we propose a novel Adaptive Arbitration for Semantic Incongruence (A2SI) framework for semi-supervised multimodal sentiment analysis, which emphasizes stable cross-modal representations and reliable supervision. Specifically, we first constrain unreliable visual representations by leveraging the reliable textual modality as an anchor to align divergent embeddings and reduce representation noise. Based on this, we further consider the reliability of supervision signals and calibrate pseudo-labels by adaptively weighting evidentiary confidence from heterogeneous views. Finally, to prevent error accumulation caused by unreliable samples, we introduce a progressive arbitration mechanism that verifies pseudo-labeled data from dual perspectives, enabling the model to dynamically balance sample diversity and label purity throughout self-training. Extensive experiments on the MVSA-Single and MVSA-Multiple datasets demonstrate that A2SI consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods under label-limited settings.

RATE: Reviewer Profiling and Annotation-free Training for Expertise Ranking in Peer Review Systems

Weicong Liu, Zixuan Yang, Yibo Zhao East China Normal University, Xiang Li East China Normal University

Reviewer assignment is increasingly critical yet challenging in the LLM era, where rapid topic shifts render many pre-2023 benchmarks outdated and where proxy signals poorly reflect true reviewer familiarity. We address this evaluation bottleneck by introducing LR-bench, a high-fidelity, up-to-date benchmark curated from 2024–2025 AI/NLP manuscripts with five-level self-assessed familiarity ratings collected via a large-scale email survey, yielding 1,055 expert-annotated paper–reviewer–score annotations. We further propose a reviewer-centric ranking framework that distills each reviewer’s recent publications into compact keyword-based profiles and fine-tunes an embedding model with weak preference supervision constructed from heuristic retrieval signals, enabling to match each manuscript against a reviewer profile directly. Across the LR-bench and the CMU gold-standard dataset, our approach consistently achieves state-of-the-art performance, outperforming strong embedding baselines by a clear margin. We release LR-bench at https://huggingface.co/datasets/Gnociew/LR-bench, and an github repository at https://github.com/Gnociew/RATE-Reviewer-Assignment.

No More Stale Feedback: Co-Evolving Critics for Open-World Agent Learning

Zhicong Li, Lingjie Jiang Peking University, Yulan Hu Alibaba Group, Xingchen Zeng, Yixia Li, Xiangwen Zhang, Guanhua Chen Southern University of Science and Technology, Zheng Pan Alibaba Group 等 10 位作者

Critique-guided reinforcement learning (RL) has emerged as a powerful paradigm for training LLM agents by augmenting sparse outcome rewards with natural-language feedback. However, current methods often rely on static or offline critic models, which fail to adapt as the policy evolves. In on-policy RL, the agent’s trajectory distribution and error patterns shift over time, causing stationary critics to become stale and providing feedback of diminishing utility. To address this, we introduce ECHO (Evolving Critic for Hindsight-Guided Optimization), a framework that jointly optimizes the policy and critic through a synchronized co-evolutionary loop. ECHO utilizes a cascaded rollout mechanism where the critic generates multiple diagnoses for an initial trajectory, followed by policy refinement to enable group-structured advantage estimation. We address the challenge of learning plateaus via a saturation-aware gain shaping objective, which rewards the critic for inducing incremental improvements in high-performing trajectories. By employing synchronized dual-track GRPO updates, ECHO ensures the critic’s feedback stays synchronized with the evolving policy. Experimental results show that ECHO yields more stable training and higher long-horizon task success across open-world environments.
