原文摘要

Hallucination remains a persistent challenge for Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs), severely limiting their reliability in high-stakes applications. Existing evaluations, predominantly based on static benchmarks, suffer from narrow taxonomical coverage and rapid performance saturation, failing to reflect model robustness in evolving real-world scenarios. To bridge this gap, we present a systematic evaluation framework integrating a comprehensive benchmark with self-evolving stress testing. First, we introduce UniHall, a fine-grained dataset grounded in a unified taxonomy spanning Object, Instruction, and Knowledge dimensions. Second, to address benchmark saturation, we propose Self-Adaptive Multimodal Fuzzing (SAMF), a self-adaptive framework that employs evolutionary mutation strategies to explore the boundaries of model hallucinations. Crucially, to ensure reliable assessment of dynamic inputs, SAMF incorporates a structured metric suite driven by an ensemble of multi-modal oracles. Our extensive experiments reveal that state-of-the-art MLLMs exhibit significant performance degradation under fuzzing compared to conventional settings, exposing a dissociation between reasoning capabilities and factual grounding. Furthermore, we identify a helpfulness-hallucination trade-off, where reinforcement learning alignment inadvertently exacerbates sycophancy in instruction-following tasks. The framework, code and benchmark are available at https://github.com/LanceZPF/EvalHall.

Artificial general intelligence (AGI) requires a method that can understand, generate, reason, and act across diverse domains and modalities. Rather than relying on a single model to master every capability, a promising path toward AGI now is to orchestrate a heterogeneous ecosystem of specialized models, tools, and policies (candidates) into a unified AI system. At the heart of this vision lies a fundamental question: how can an AI system dynamically select and coordinate the most capable candidate for each task while balancing performance and computational cost? In this work, we present Route Anything, a unified framework for studying model and policy routing across general-purpose AI systems. We develop a unified theoretical foundation that characterizes optimal routing under quality--cost trade-offs and establishes how the information available to a router determines its attainable performance. To systematically investigate routing across diverse capabilities, we first construct an omni-modal trajectory matrix spanning 25 benchmarks across language understanding, image, video, and speech generation, coding and workplace agents, and robotic manipulation, comprising 374,401 scored runs from 452 candidate configurations. Building on this framework, we train and test different routers to investigate the potential of omni-modal model routing, the capabilities of learned routers, and the conditions under which routing improves efficiency. Our results reveal substantial opportunities for capability orchestration: per-input oracle routing outperforms the best fixed candidate by 5.4 points, and learned routers outperform it by 0.3 points across 16 benchmarks, by 2.1 points on video generation, and by 1.1 points on robot manipulation while using 24% less policy time. More importantly, routing raises efficiency by 8.82x on average compared with the reference model.

R$^2$-Omni: Reducing Structural and Precision Redundancy in Omni-LLMs for Long-Form Generation

Bolong Feng, Pengfei Zhou, Zhenglin Wan, Wei Wang, Wangbo Zhao

原文摘要

Omni-modal large language models (Omni-LLMs) typically process large numbers of multimodal tokens from audio-visual inputs, incurring substantial computational costs and a large memory footprint for the key-value (KV) cache. Aggressive token pruning can alleviate this problem while maintaining competitive performance on multiple-choice tasks, which require only a single option as output. However, we observe substantial quality degradation when generating long-form, open-ended responses. We attribute this gap to query-guided selection, which can retain sufficient evidence for answer selection while discarding details needed for comprehensive generation. This motivates reducing overlapping information across tokens, termed structural redundancy, while preserving diverse content. However, the retained representations may still contain precision redundancy due to unnecessarily high numerical precision in their cached values. To address these two levels of redundancy in token representations, we introduce a training-free framework named R$^2$-Omni. First, Structure-Aware Token Consolidation (STC) consolidates redundant representations using spatiotemporal similarity in video and local continuity in audio. Then, Semantic-Sensitivity Guided Precision Allocation (SSPA) allocates value precision to the retained representations according to the estimated reduction in attention-output error under quantized keys, with query attention and audio-visual alignment providing a semantic prior. Extensive experiments on long-form generation benchmarks demonstrate an average 5.0$\times$ reduction in the memory footprint while preserving 97.98% of baseline generation quality and achieving a 1.48$\times$ end-to-end speedup, highlighting the benefits of jointly reducing structural and precision redundancy.

LOGIV: Graph-Verified Execution with Causal Local Repair for Long-Horizon Robot Tasks

原文摘要

Agentic robots must turn a high-level goal into actions while keeping the physical conditions needed for future steps valid. A completed action does not ensure that its effects will persist: a later disturbance can invalidate support that the remaining plan still assumes. We present LOGIV, a graph engineering framework for agentic robot execution that uses an explicit task graph to connect symbolic planning, observation-based verification, and embodied action. LOGIV compiles a validated plan into condition-support and resource-ordering edges, checks their physical validity during execution, and uses dependency tracing to determine what must be restored after a failure. Repair is constrained by retained unfinished actions, and the combined continuation is symbolically validated before execution resumes. The framework operates above existing Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and World Action Model (WAM) policies without adding trainable components. Across 20 dual-arm tasks from RoboTwin V2 and BiCoord with three execution backbones, LOGIV improves mean task success without injected disturbances by 10.67 and 15.33 percentage points, respectively. Under predefined perturbations, it achieves higher task completion and condition restoration than three adapted recovery baselines for every backbone on both benchmarks. On three real-robot tasks, successful trials increase from 12/30 to 17/30. These results support explicit, continuously checked task dependencies as a practical interface for reliable agentic robot execution.

SkillDAG: Self-Evolving Typed Skill Graphs for LLM Skill Selection at Scale

Tong Bai, Zhenglin Wan, Pengfei Zhou, Xingrui Yu, Yang You, Ivor W. Tsang

原文摘要

Large skill libraries are now standard equipment for LLM agents, and which subset reaches the prompt decides what the agent can do. Enumeration and top-$K$ embedding retrieval both treat skills as independent documents, assuming relevance is a property of one skill at a time. It is not: skills depend on, conflict with, specialize, and duplicate one another, so the closest match to a task can name it while omitting a prerequisite it needs. Graph retrieval encodes these relations but spends them in a fixed pipeline, handing the agent an opaque bundle. We present SkillDAG, which exposes a typed skill graph to the LLM as an agent-callable interface rather than consuming it for the agent: search returns vector matches, typed-edge neighbors, and conflict signals, and a propose-then-commit protocol lets it register execution-backed edges as it works. Across two benchmarks and three model families, SkillDAG outperforms full-library prompting, vector retrieval, and Graph-of-Skills, gaining +14.3 points of ALFWorld success and tying only at ceiling; its ranking holds flat across a $10\times$ pool expansion that degrades the fixed pipeline. Inter-skill structure, these results suggest, is worth more to an agent that can query and revise it than to a retriever that consumes it.

AB-Attention: Accurate Block Attention for Accelerating Video Diffusion Transformers

原文摘要

Video diffusion transformers generate high-quality videos, but the quadratic cost of 3D full attention dominates their inference. Dynamic block-sparse attention reduces this cost by computing exact attention only on key/value blocks selected from current activations. However, its fidelity degrades under aggressive sparsity: blocks are scored from coarse summaries or formed by costly global clustering, pruned blocks vanish from the softmax, and whole tiles are kept or dropped even when only a few of their keys matter. To address these limitations, we propose Accurate Block Attention (AB-Attention), a training-free method that accurately approximates dense attention at high sparsity. Its Intra-Block Clustering Selector (IBCS) estimates block importance faithfully yet cheaply by clustering queries only within each query block, without permuting tokens. Sampling with Inclusion-Probability Weighting (SIP) then samples blocks in proportion to these estimates and reweights them by inverse inclusion probability, so that one pass estimates dense attention rather than truncating it. Finally, its kernel gathers key/value blocks much smaller than a tile into full tensor-core tiles, refining selection at no extra tensor-core cost. On Wan2.1 and HunyuanVideo, AB-Attention skips 89--92\% of attention, whereas the baselines compute 1.8--3.6$\times$ as much, yet it still improves PSNR by up to 4.4~dB over the strongest baseline and achieves up to 2.23$\times$ end-to-end speedup. Our code is available at https://github.com/InfRec-Cardinal/AB-Attention.

The Trinity:Capability-Driven Recursive Self-Improvement for Multimodal Agents

原文摘要

Multimodal intelligence can be viewed as human-guided co-evolution between worlds and agents through interaction. However, scaling this process faces two bottlenecks: constructing heterogeneous, verifiable environments is costly, and manual Harness iteration cannot keep pace with growing task diversity and complexity. A key insight is that tasks with different modalities and surface forms can share the same underlying capability requirements. We therefore introduce The Trinity, a recursive self-improvement framework coupling world generation with Harness evolution through three roles: Creator, Explorer, and Evolver. Drawing on verified execution trajectories, Evolver shifts the basis of task organization from surface categories to shared requirements, reorganizing the original task tree into a hierarchical capability tree. We introduce Capability-Driven Real2Sim2Real: for heterogeneous tasks at the same node, Creator abstracts their common requirements into simplified, verifiable simulated worlds for capability learning, while evaluation on original tasks measures transfer. Along this capability tree, Explorer progressively evolves reusable capability modules through selective inheritance, forming a Harness tree whose validated updates accumulate across iterations within a fixed topology. The resulting Harnesses specialize in different capabilities, motivating a Capability-Aware Harness Router that uses public task information to select compatible module configurations from the tree. Our evolved Harnesses improve mean performance by 34 points across 28 training benchmarks and 26 points across 18 unseen benchmarks, including two real-world embodied tasks.

S$^2$-RL: Sample-Set Dual Reinforcement Learning for Generative Semantic Segmentation Dataset Distillation

Haoyu Wang, Fei Zhou, Qingqing Qiu, Lei Zhang, Wei Wei, Chen Ding

原文摘要

While dataset distillation has witnessed significant advances in image classification, its extension to dense prediction tasks such as semantic segmentation is plagued by two core bottlenecks: bi-level optimization-based approaches suffer from prohibitive computational costs stemming from pixel-wise gradient unrolling, whereas proxy-based generative methods merely infuse visual textures into fixed semantic masks derived from real data, thus failing to condense rich semantic knowledge into a compact set of informative, novel scene generations. To address both bottlenecks simultaneously, we propose a novel Sample-Set Reinforcement Learning (S$^2$-RL) framework for generative semantic segmentation dataset distillation (SSDD). Specifically, S$^2$-RL formulates SSDD as a diffusion model based text-to-image generation paradigm, enabling flexible generation of images with informative, novel semantic distributions via a concise text prompt. Furthermore, we fine-tune a diffusion policy via Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), leveraging a sample-set dual reward paradigm: for individual samples, it enforces semantic alignment with input text prompts and intra-class feature diversity; for sample sets, it maximizes inter-sample semantic distribution diversity by solving a contextual multi-armed bandit problem. These design choices enable S$^2$-RL to distill large-scale semantic segmentation datasets into a compact set of generated samples that encapsulate diverse, informative semantic knowledge without the need of pixel-wise gradient unrolling. Extensive experiments on the ADE20K and COCO datasets demonstrate that S$^2$-RL achieves substantial and consistent improvements over state-of-the-art baselines, establishing a new benchmark for SSDD.

原文摘要

In industrial practice, AI-generated programmable logic controller (PLC) code must integrate with existing projects and implement the required behavior across scan cycles. Compilation alone does not establish runtime behavior, and subsequent edits can invalidate earlier verification results. We present SemaPLC, a project-grounded, verification-gated agent harness for PLC code generation. The harness combines project context and reusable PLC skills with specification review, compilation, and live-runtime validation. Its completion gate requires recorded checks to meet acceptance criteria for the current implementation. Edits invalidate previous verdicts, and failed checks guide bounded repair. We evaluate SemaPLC on 117 independent-POU tasks and 65 project-context tasks across seven language-model backbones. SemaPLC outperforms the evaluated baselines on both metrics for every backbone. Its mean verified-pass rate and dynamic score reach 72.6% and 52.2, exceeding the strongest baseline means by 8.7% points and 20.8 points, respectively. Verification-layer and failure analyses reveal how build recovery and output observability affect end-to-end results and identify behavioral errors that remain after compilation. We apply the harness in KUKA's iiQworks product environment for PLC development and discuss engineering lessons for its industrial integration and deployment. The industrial use indicates the agent assistance substantially improves PLC development efficiency by 45%.

Temporal Evidence Chain for Temporal Knowledge Graph Question Answering with Large Language Models

Shihao Liu, Xiaofei Zhou Institute of Information Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Bo Wang University of International Business and Economics, Geyuan Zhang

原文摘要

Temporal Knowledge Graph Question Answering (TKGQA) aims to answer temporal questions using knowledge from Temporal Knowledge Graphs (TKGs).Existing LLM-based TKGQA methods typically utilize RAG-based or Agent-based paradigms, yet both struggle to construct reliable temporal evidence chains. RAG-based approaches primarily rely on semantic retrieval to fetch question-relevant contexts but overlook the structural dependencies within TKGs, leading to broken evidence chains, whereas iterative agents are prone to error propagation during multi-step reasoning. To address these limitations, we propose TECQA, a framework designed to construct temporal evidence chains for LLM reasoning. Firstly, TECQA employs structure-guided subgraph retrieval to capture structural dependencies and intermediate reasoning paths. Subsequently, it utilizes a k-nearest temporal neighbor pruning strategy to filter irrelevant noise while strictly preserving the continuous local history surrounding critical events. Finally, the retained temporal neighbors are serialized by temporal proximity to explicitly reconstruct a coherent temporal evidence chain. Extensive experiments on MultiTQ and CronQuestions demonstrate that TECQA achieves state-of-the-art performance, outperforming strong baselines by 45.3% particularly on complex queries. Code is available at https://github.com/SimonsLiu/TECQA.

GroupToM-Bench: Benchmarking Group Theory of Mind and Nonlinear Social Emergence in MLLMs

原文摘要

True general intelligence requires not only a model of the physical world but also a social world model: the capacity to infer how individual mental states interact and crystallize into group-level outcomes. Despite notable progress in individual-level Theory of Mind (ToM) reasoning, existing multimodal large language models systematically fail at this: collective behavior emerges non-linearly from social tensions, conformity dynamics, and structural constraints, and cannot be recovered by summing individual intentions. We present GroupToM-Bench, the first multimodal benchmark for group-level ToM, built around a causal chain spanning micro-level BDI states (belief, desire, intention), meso-level group tension and structural constraints, and macro-level outcome prediction and mechanistic attribution. To probe this full arc, we develop a seven-level cognitive audit framework. Experiments reveal that frontier models perform significantly below human levels, exposing fundamental blind spots in modeling social structures and nonlinear collective behavior.

Large language model (LLM) agents need to perform multi-turn interactions in real-world tasks. However, existing multi-turn RL algorithms for optimizing LLM agents fail to perform effective credit assignment over multiple turns while leveraging the generalization capabilities of LLMs and it remains unclear how to develop such algorithms. To study this, we first introduce a new benchmark, ColBench, where an LLM agent interacts with a human collaborator over multiple turns to solve realistic tasks in backend programming and frontend design. Building on this benchmark, we propose a novel RL algorithm, SWEET-RL (RL with Step-WisE Evaluation from Training-time information), that uses a carefully designed optimization objective to train a critic model with access to additional training-time information. The critic provides step-level rewards for improving the policy model. Our experiments demonstrate that SWEET-RL achieves a 6% absolute improvement in success and win rates on ColBench compared to other state-of-the-art multi-turn RL algorithms, enabling Llama-3.1-8B to match or exceed the performance of GPT4-o in realistic collaborative content creation.
