RxnMiner: A Multimodal Agent for Structured Reaction Data Extraction from Chemistry Figures

Reaction data underpin machine learning for reaction prediction, condition recommendation, and retrosynthetic planning, yet extracting these data from literature figures still requires substantial manual effort. Many figures encode multiple experiments through shared templates, substituent tables, and product grids. Recovering concrete reaction records therefore requires molecular recognition, association of evidence with individual experimental entries, and reconstruction of indirectly specified participants. We present RxnMiner, a multimodal agent system that combines an expert-informed extraction procedure with a chemistry toolbox to coordinate these operations. The agent reads molecular structures, resolves shared and entry-specific evidence, and instantiates participants from templates to assemble source-linked reaction records. We also introduce ChemRxn-Bench, a benchmark of 603 reaction figures with 8,547 manually annotated and reviewed reaction records, evaluated under a common protocol for exact molecular identity and reactant-product pairing. On this benchmark, with Qwen3.8-Flash-Next as the backbone, RxnMiner raises stereochemistry-aware reaction macro-F1 from 21.0% under direct prediction to 71.0%, compared with 25.0% for the strongest existing extraction system. Across five backbones, it also outperforms the same base agent without the extraction procedure and chemistry toolbox by 9.4 to 25.5 points. Applied without human intervention to 10,107 literature figures, RxnMiner produces a silver corpus of 88,202 source-linked reaction records.

E0.5: From Reconstructive to Future-Predictive 3D Foundations for Robotic World-Action Modeling

World-action models (WAMs) offer a promising framework for embodied intelligence, yet mainstream approaches remain centered on video foundation models or vision-language models. Even when geometric features extracted by 3D models such as VGGT are incorporated, they are typically passed into a video model or VLM that serves as the primary backbone, leaving 3D geometry as an auxiliary input or prediction target rather than the native foundation for world modeling. We present E0.5, a geometry-native world-action model built directly on 3D foundation models. E0.5 introduces two key innovations. First, it adopts a 3D foundation model as the primary backbone, making 3D geometry the native representation for both world modeling and action prediction. Second, it explicitly predicts future 3D states together with actions, enabling the model to capture geometric world dynamics beyond action-only modeling or future video prediction. Experiments on RoboTwin 2.0 first demonstrate the effectiveness of E0.5 without embodied-data pretraining, achieving success rates of 89.90\% and 50.09\% under clean and randomized settings, respectively. Building on these results, we further pretrain E0.5 on more than 160k robot trajectories from AgiBotWorld-Beta, jointly learning robot actions and future geometry within the pretrained 3D foundation. This embodied pretraining improves mean real-world manipulation success rates by approximately 15 and 7 percentage points on AgileX Piper and Zerith H1, respectively. Together, these results demonstrate the potential of geometry-native foundations to acquire robot interaction knowledge and transfer it to physical manipulation. E0.5 embodies this geometry-native approach as a member of the VWA family of world-action models.

Stable Language Guidance for Vision–Language–Action Models

Zhihao Zhan, Yuhao Chen SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, Jiaying Zhou SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, Qinhan Lyu, Hao Liu SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, Keze Wang SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, Liang Lin SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY, Guangrun Wang SUN YAT-SEN UNIVERSITY

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have demonstrated impressive capabilities in generalized robotic control; however, they remain notoriously brittle to linguistic perturbations. We identify a critical "modality collapse” phenomenon where strong visual priors overwhelm sparse linguistic signals, causing agents to overfit to specific instruction phrasings while ignoring the underlying semantic intent. To address this, we propose Residual Semantic Steering (RSS), a probabilistic framework that disentangles physical affordance from semantic execution. RSS introduces two theoretical innovations: (1) Monte Carlo Syntactic Integration, which approximates the true semantic posterior via dense, LLM-driven distributional expansion, and (2) Residual Affordance Steering, a dual-stream decoding mechanism that explicitly isolates the causal influence of language by subtracting the visual affordance prior. Theoretical analysis suggests that RSS effectively maximizes the mutual information between action and intent while suppressing visual distractors. Empirical results across diverse manipulation benchmarks demonstrate that RSS achieves state-of-the-art robustness, maintaining performance even under adversarial linguistic perturbations.
