JEDI:面向上下文模仿学习的联合嵌入演示压缩

JEDI: Joint-Embedding Demonstration Compression for In-Context Imitation Learning

Jiazhao Liang, Zhewen He, Shuaihang Yuan, Hao Huang, Yi Fang

AI 速览:JEDI 将演示压缩为在冻结视频-JEPA 空间中预测查询回合下一阶段关键帧的潜在槽,以支持多示例上下文模仿学习。

In-context imitation learning (ICIL) adapts robot policies through test-time demonstrations, but long multimodal trajectories constrain how many examples fit in context. We ask what a compressed demonstration should preserve. We propose JEDI, which compresses demonstrations into latent slots trained to predict the query episode's next-stage keyframe in a frozen video-JEPA space. Task and process counterfactuals help the slots preserve execution details, while the predictor selects demonstrations from a bank. Post-training with keypoint tokens enables human-hand conditioning on robots. Experiments on LIBERO and real robots show that JEDI supports many-shot context; LIBERO objective controls show improved success and demonstration following over action-only compression. These findings support query-future prediction as a training objective for preserving execution-relevant information in compressed demonstrations.

More Is Better? Exploring Latent Correspondence in Federated Hypergraph Learning

Bo Yan, Siming Zhang, Siqi Li, Hang Yu

Federated hypergraph learning with latent cross-client hyperedge correspondence poses fundamental identifiability and computational challenges, as the same local release can correspond to multiple global hypergraph structures. We characterize the tractability of recovering these latent correspondences, showing tractable pairwise assignment but generally intractable multi-client hyperedge matching. Building on this characterization, we derive a cross-entropy decomposition that reveals when local prediction can outperform predictors fitted with additional cross-client information. Motivated by this principle, we introduce Federated Adaptive Spectral Training with Representation Alignment (FedASTRA), which learns correspondence-invariant diffusion representations through adaptive heat diffusion and masked latent prediction while communicating model parameters only. We establish its asymptotic optimality with respect to the permitted local information and prove global population-risk convergence under explicit conditions on recovery, representation, and update alignment. Experiments on eight real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of FedASTRA against identifier-free federated graph and hypergraph methods. On ogbn-papers100M, FedASTRA reaches the performance-communication Pareto frontier, achieving 50.07 Accuracy and 29.73 Macro-F1 while communicating only 59.60 MiB per round.

VEvo-Harness: Causally-Guarded Self-Evolving Harness for Agentic Image Generation

Yuan Wang, Yuhang Yu, Mengting Chen, Tianrun Xu, Zihao Pan, Xuetao Feng, Wei Li

The central bottleneck in visual generation and editing has migrated from achieving pixel-level fidelity to satisfying densely constrained user specifications through increasingly agentic workflows. Prevailing agentic generation pipelines remain shallow generate-verify-rewrite loops treating VLM judgments as coarse visual feedback, either discarding repair experience or admitting ungated updates that poison skill library. With memorize and govern periods left open, they degrade into ungoverned iterators of repeated trial-and-error rather than continual self-evolving harness. Towards this issue, we present \textbf{VEvo-Harness}, the first causally-guarded continual self-evolving harness system for agentic visual generation. VEvo-Harness introduces four coupled innovations: (1) \textit{a visual traceback} that densifies sparse judgments into root-cause attributions with a hierarchical verification tree; (2) \textit{a visual continual governance} that admits only causally valid skill patches through counterfactual dual-arm image generation replay; (3) \textit{a lifecycle-managed harness state} that hierarchically distills root-cause-anchored episodes across working, experience, and pattern tiers into a persistent skill library of routable and causally verified capabilities; (4) \textit{a heterogeneous sandbox policy} that orchestrates a diverse action space of repair primitives, dynamically routing cost-aware interventions based on root causes to select the most effective strategy. VEvo-Harness surpasses state-of-the-art agentic methods and rivals proprietary generators (\textit{e.g.}, GPT-Image, Nano-Pro) while maintaining the continual harness evolution and generalization.

TCC-RAG: Temporal Causal Chain-Guided RAG for Temporal Knowledge Graph Question Answering

Xinxun Zhang, Yuxiang Wang, Shanshan Feng, Jun Zhang, Tieyun Qian, Binhang Yuan, Kai Yin, Xiao Yan 等 9 位作者

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have spurred growing interest in temporal knowledge graph question answering (TKGQA). Most existing methods rely on semantic retrieval augmented generation (RAG), which suffers from fundamental limitations in complex temporal reasoning. On the one hand, semantic-based RAG methods struggle to capture the multi-hop causal knowledge required for complex temporal reasoning. On the other hand, these methods introduce excessive redundant knowledge, trapping LLMs in spurious reasoning chains that potentially result in erroneous answers. To address these problems, we propose a Temporal Causal Chain-guided RAG (TCC-RAG) to retrieve a concise yet sufficient set of causal knowledge to support complex temporal reasoning. Specifically, we reformulate the temporal knowledge graph into a multi-view causal cue graph, with causal cues inducing connections that explicitly encode temporal evolution and causal dynamics. Based on the causal cue graph, we construct a query-specific temporal causal chain to guide the retrieval process, enabling the model to focus on a concise set of causally relevant knowledge. Finally, we introduce a causal evidence filter to refine the retrieved knowledge, ensuring its causal consistency with the underlying temporal logic of the query. Experiments show that TCC-RAG achieves substantial performance gains of 10.72% and 8.40% on two TKGQA benchmarks, and delivers a remarkable 62.97% improvement for multi-step temporal reasoning.

PRIMA: Boosting Animal Mesh Recovery with Taxonomic Priors and Adaptation-Driven Data Bootstrapping

Xiaohang Yu, Ti Wang, Mackenzie Weygandt Mathis

Recovering articulated 3D animal meshes from monocular images is challenging due to the long-tailed distribution of species and limited large-scale 3D supervision. Existing methods rely on small annotated datasets and thus regress to average shapes and poses, leading to poor generalization to rare species and articulations. We present PRIMA (PRIors for Mesh Adaptation), a framework that tackles these limitations with two components: taxonomic shape priors and adaptation-driven data bootstrapping. First, we derive taxonomic shape priors from BioCLIP image features, which are learned under taxonomic supervision, to inject species-level knowledge into mesh reconstruction, improving shape estimation across diverse quadrupeds. Second, we propose an adaptation-driven bootstrapping scheme that turns abundant 2D animal annotations into reliable pseudo-3D supervision via lightweight instance-level mesh refinement and quality-aware filtering. This yields Quadruped3D, a large-scale pseudo-3D dataset constructed from real-world animal images, containing approximately 9K pseudo-3D annotations. Together, these components alleviate the long-tail problem: extensive experiments on Animal3D, CtrlAni3D, Quadruped2D, and Animal Kingdom demonstrate state-of-the-art performance for mesh reconstruction, with particularly strong gains on challenging poses and underrepresented species. The code is available at https://github.com/AdaptiveMotorControlLab/PRIMA.

Hierarchical Skill Evolution for Coding Agent

Jun Gao, Yun Peng, Changhai Zhou, Yuhan Zhu, Xiangyu Zeng, Shiyang Zhang Yuhua Zhou, Luozheng Qin, Qian Qiao 等 13 位作者

Skills provide agents with reusable experience to guide future decisions without modifying the underlying model. However, coding trajectories are often entangled with task- and repository-specific contexts, making it challenging to distill procedural skills that generalize across diverse coding environments. To address this challenge, we present Hierarchical Skill Evolution (HSE), which progressively distills procedural knowledge from coding trajectories through hierarchical evidence aggregation. HSE first extracts task-level evidence from individual trajectories, then aggregates recurring evidence within the same repository to form repository-specific skill candidates, and finally consolidates consistent patterns across repositories into transferable skills across repositories. The evolution is driven by an external writer-evaluator loop that generates and assesses skills while keeping the underlying coding model frozen. The loop externally updates the writer and evaluator policies to improve subsequent skill generation and assessment. This hierarchy progressively filters task-specific details while preserving procedures that generalize across diverse coding environments. Successful trajectories yield reusable guidance for future tasks, while failed trajectories reveal recurring failure modes that guide avoidance and recovery. We evaluate HSE on SWE-bench Verified and DeepSWE, using GLM-5.2 across Pi and Claude Code harnesses and GPT-5.5 and Opus 4.8 with Pi. Across both benchmarks, 10 skills evolved solely from SWE-Gym improve coding performance across all evaluated settings, demonstrating transfer across benchmarks, coding models, and agent harnesses. We further evolve the skill library from target-benchmark trajectories without verifier feedback, relying solely on the learned evaluator for candidate assessment and achieving additional gains through benchmark-tailored skills.

ABF-Bench: A Verifiable Benchmark for Agentic Blockchain Forensics

Xiaohang Yu, Hejia Geng, William Knottenbelt

Blockchain forensics is adversarial and open-ended: money launderers split, swap, and bridge funds, cut their trail at mixers or custodial services, and change tactics from one incident to the next. Investigators must keep adapting their tracing in response. Yet the immutability of public ledgers preserves every recorded movement in public view, making much of the investigation independently verifiable. We introduce ABF-Bench, an interactive benchmark that makes evidence-backed fund tracing a verifiable agent task, in which every claimed movement must cite ledger records the agent retrieved. A case-to-task pipeline builds well-posed tasks across ledgers: conservative rules halt tracing wherever the records leave a continuation unresolved, and each task's reference graph is the answer those rules determine. Built from real laundering activity, the tasks combine multi-hop transfers, DeFi exchanges, cross-chain round trips, custodial and mixer deposits, and address poisoning. We also propose the ABF agent harness, built around a working memory, and evaluate it alongside general-purpose agents and fixed-order tracers. The harness reaches 75% edge recall, against 47% for Codex with the same model and 10% for Claude Code, which loses recall to overconfidence: it cites records it left unretrieved. Compared with fixed-order tracers, the harness acquires evidence faster than the best of them early in the budget and recognizes undisclosed custodial services that they walk past (89% vs. 0%), with 98% fidelity. However, agents tend to stop early and lose recall on larger tasks, which holds their final recall below the best tracer. Beyond exposing these gaps, ABF-Bench opens blockchain forensics to LLM agents as a verifiable domain, where the verdicts that score agents also offer potential training signals.

TingIS: Real-time Risk Event Discovery from Noisy Customer Incidents at Enterprise Scale

Jun Wang, Ziyin Zhang, Rui Wang, Hang Yu, Peng Di, Rui Wang

Real-time detection and mitigation of technical anomalies are critical for large-scale cloud-native services, where even minutes of downtime can result in massive financial losses and diminished user trust. While customer incidents serve as a vital signal for discovering risks missed by monitoring, extracting actionable intelligence from this data remains challenging due to extreme noise, high throughput, and semantic complexity of diverse business lines. In this paper, we present TingIS, an end-to-end system designed for enterprise-grade incident discovery. At the core of TingIS is a multi-stage event unification engine that synergizes efficient indexing techniques with Large Language Models (LLMs) to make informed decisions on event merging, enabling the stable extraction of actionable incidents from just a handful of diverse user descriptions. This engine is complemented by a cascaded routing mechanism for precise business attribution and a multi-dimensional noise reduction pipeline that integrates domain knowledge, statistical patterns, and behavioral filtering. Deployed in a production environment handling a peak throughput of over 2,000 messages per minute and 300,000 messages per day, TingIS achieves a P90 alert latency of 3.5 minutes and a 95% discovery rate for high-priority incidents. Benchmarks constructed from real-world data demonstrate that TingIS significantly outperforms baseline methods in routing accuracy, clustering quality, and Signal-to-Noise Ratio.

Scaling Behaviors of LLM Reinforcement Learning Post-Training: An Empirical Study in Mathematical Reasoning

Zelin Tan University of Science and Technology of China, Hejia Geng University of Oxford, Xiaohang Yu Imperial College London, Mulei Zhang, Guancheng Wan WanFlow AI and Wuhan University, Yifan Zhou, Qiang He, Xiangyuan Xue The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory 等 17 位作者

While scaling laws for large language models (LLMs) during pre-training have been extensively studied, their behavior under reinforcement learning (RL) post-training remains largely unexplored. This paper investigates the scaling behavior of Large Language Model (LLM) reinforcement learning post-training, focusing on mathematical reasoning. Through experiments across the Qwen2.5 series (0.5B to 72B), we characterize how model scale, data, and compute interact. Our analysis yields four key findings: 1. Larger models consistently demonstrate superior compute and data efficiency. 2. The relationship between model performance and training resources follows a predictive power-law across both base and instruction-tuned models. 3. RL learning efficiency exhibits a latent saturation trend with increasing model scale. 4. In data-constrained regimes, performance is primarily driven by the total volume of training data rather than sample uniqueness. These results offer practical guidelines for scaling reasoning capabilities through reinforcement learning post-training.

Generating then Refining for Reliable Knowledge Base Question Answering

Jianqi Gao Shanghai University, Hang Yu, Jian Cao Shanghai Jiaotong University, Ranran Bu, Jinghua Tang Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nengjun Zhu Shanghai University, Yonggang Zhang

Knowledge Base Question Answering (KBQA) aims to retrieve accurate answers to natural language queries by retrieving and reasoning over large-scale structured knowledge bases (KBs). Advanced semantic parsing-based methods promoted by large language models (LLMs) demonstrate superior performance by transforming questions into structured queries, i.e., logical forms (LFs). However, LFs generated by LLMs could be non-executable due to the inherent semantic hallucination issue of LLMs and the complex graph retrieval characteristics of the KBQA task. To address this challenge, we propose a novel “generate-verify-refine” framework, termed Action-Reflection-Integrated KBQA (ARI-KBQA) for reliable LF generation. ARI-KBQA introduces a dual-module cooperative architecture: First, an action generator is trained to produce initial query paths based on a hop-by-hop reasoning strategy. Then a reflection verifier dynamically validates path feasibility by interacting with the KBs. Consequently, ARI-KBQA filters out invalid LFs and provides semantic correction feedback to the action generator for iteratively refining LFs. Evaluations on standard KBQA benchmarks show that the proposed ARI-KBQA significantly enhances model performance with a reduced search space, especially in complex multi-hop query scenarios.

ReflectRM: Boosting Generative Reward Models via Self-Reflection within a Unified Judgment Framework

Kai Qin, Liangxin Liu Baidu, Yu Liang, Longzheng Wang Baidu, Wangyan Research, Baidu, Zhang Yueyang Baidu, Long Xia Baidu Inc., Zhiyuan Sun Baidu 等 10 位作者

Reward Models (RMs) are critical components in the Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) pipeline, directly determining the alignment quality of Large Language Models (LLMs). Recently, Generative Reward Models (GRMs) have emerged as a superior paradigm, offering higher interpretability and stronger generalization than traditional scalar RMs. However, existing methods for GRMs focus primarily on outcome-level supervision, neglecting analytical process quality, which constrains their potential. To address this, we propose ReflectRM, a novel GRM that leverages self-reflection to assess analytical quality and enhance preference modeling. ReflectRM is trained under a unified generative framework for joint modeling of response preference and analysis preference. During inference, we use its self-reflection capability to identify the most reliable analysis, from which the final preference prediction is derived. Experiments across four benchmarks show that ReflectRM consistently improves performance, achieving an average accuracy gain of +3.7 on Qwen3-4B. Further experiments confirm that response preference and analysis preference are mutually reinforcing. Notably, ReflectRM substantially mitigates positional bias, yielding +10.2 improvement compared with leading GRMs and establishing itself as a more stable evaluator. Our code is available at https://github.com/yuliangCarmelo/ReflectRM.

ConsistRM: Improving Generative Reward Models via Consistency-Aware Self-Training

Yu Liang, Liangxin Liu Baidu, Longzheng Wang Baidu, Wangyan Research, Baidu, Zhang Yueyang Baidu, Long Xia Baidu Inc., Zhiyuan Sun Baidu, Daiting Shi Baidu

Generative reward models (GRMs) have emerged as a promising approach for aligning Large Language Models (LLMs) with human preferences by offering greater representational capacity and flexibility than traditional scalar reward models. However, GRMs face two major challenges: reliance on costly human-annotated data restricts scalability, and self-training approaches often suffer from instability and vulnerability to reward hacking. To address these issues, we propose ConsistRM, a self-training framework that enables effective and stable GRM training without human annotations. ConsistRM incorporates the Consistency-Aware Answer Reward, which produces reliable pseudo-labels with temporal consistency, thereby providing more stable model optimization. Moreover, the Consistency-Aware Critique Reward is introduced to assess semantic consistency across multiple critiques and allocates fine-grained and differentiated rewards. Experiments on five benchmark datasets across four base models demonstrate that ConsistRM outperforms vanilla Reinforcement Fine-Tuning (RFT) by an average of 1.5%. Further analysis shows that ConsistRM enhances output consistency and mitigates position bias caused by input order, highlighting the effectiveness of consistency-aware rewards in improving GRMs.Our implementation is available at https://github.com/yuliangCarmelo/ConsistRM.

Knowledge-to-Verification: Exploring RLVR for LLMs in Knowledge-Intensive Domains

Zhonghang Yuan University of Science and Technology of China and Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Zhefan Wang Fudan University, Fang Hu Shanghai Innovation Institute and Fudan University, Zihong Chen, Jinzhe Li, Gang Li Fudan University, Jie Ying Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, Huanjun Kong 等 10 位作者

Reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) has demonstrated promising potential to enhance the reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs) in domains such as mathematics and coding. However, its applications on knowledge-intensive domains have not been effectively explored due to the scarcity of high-quality verifiable data. Furthermore, current RLVR focuses solely on the correctness of final answers, leading to the limitations of flawed reasoning and sparse reward signals. In this work, we propose Knowledge-to-Verification (K2V), a framework that extends RLVR to knowledge-intensive domains through automated verifiable data synthesis, while enabling verification of the LLM’s reasoning process. Extensive experiments demonstrate that K2V enhances the reasoning of LLM in knowledge-intensive domains without significantly compromising the model’s general capabilities. This study also suggests that integrating automated data synthesis with reasoning verification is a promising direction to enhance model capabilities in these broader domains.

Reducing Token Redundancy in LVLMs: A Systematic Review of Token Pruning Methods

Hanzhang Yuan, Mengxuan Hu, Wenhao Zhang, Tianlong Wang, Zhongliang Zhou MERCK & CO., INC., Jiasen Lu, Sheng Li Oracle and University of Virginia, Charlottesville

Large Vision-Language Models (LVLMs) excel at visual understanding but face severe computational bottlenecks when processing high-resolution images and long videos due to massive visual token counts. Token pruning mitigates this by selectively removing less informative tokens while maintaining performance. However, existing methods vary widely in pruning location (vision encoder vs. LLM decoder), importance criteria (attention vs. similarity vs. learned scores), and application strategy, lacking systematic comparison. This survey presents the first comprehensive review of token pruning for LVLMs. We propose a taxonomy categorizing methods into vision-side, LLM-side, and hybrid paradigms, systematically analyze token selection mechanisms and pruning strategy. We further discuss evaluation protocols and identify key challenges including prompt-adaptive pruning and hardware-aware design. Our survey provides a structured foundation for this rapidly growing research area.
