From Local Recovery to Unified Generation: Discovering Triple Set in Knowledge Graphs via Observation-Anchored Latent Diffusion

Triple set prediction (TSP) is to recover missing relational triples in a knowledge graph by predicting the triple set instead of isolated links. Existing approaches predominantly rely on the subgraph-based completion paradigm, where the original graph is first partitioned into local subgraphs which are then independently completed. Such a paradigm suffers from fragmented structural reasoning, limited cross subgraph dependency modeling, and missing predictions across subgraphs. This paper proposes LatentDiff, a novel unified latent generative framework for TSP, which reformulates knowledge graph completion as latent space graph generation. LatentDiff first learns a compact latent representation using a relation-aware residual-quantized knowledge graph autoencoder, which encodes the whole graph into relation-aware latent embeddings, quantizes them with chunked residual codebooks, and reconstructs triples through a factorized decoder. On top of this latent space, we introduce an observation-anchored latent graph diffusion model, where the target latent graph representation is perturbed toward the observed latent. The reverse process recovers missing triples through progressive latent denoising. Experiments on three benchmark datasets show that LatentDiff outperforms the SOTA in terms of F_{tsp} by 5.4 percentage points on average. Code: https://anonymous.4open.science/r/LKGDiff-44A5.

Decoupling Consistency and Conflict across MLLM Layers for Fake News Detection

Kai Qian, Dongjie Xu, Weijie Shi, Jiaqi Wang, Haolun Ma, Jia Zhu, Jiajie Xu

The trustworthiness of Web content faces a growing threat from multimodal fake news. Real news usually shows aligned image-text semantics, while fake news often contains a few conflicts at varying levels, such as mismatches in objects, scenes, events, and claims. However, existing methods usually treat consistency and conflict in a coarse and static way, limiting their ability to capture sparse conflicts and adapt to varying conflict levels. Inspired by the distinct knowledge encoded across layers in large language models, we propose Multi-Level Consistency and Conflict Decoupling (MLCCD), which captures conflicts at different levels from different layers of multimodal large language models (MLLMs). Specifically, we first use the MLLM's final decision representation to select visual and textual tokens relevant to the task, preventing irrelevant content from diluting sparse conflicts. Then, we preserve tokens whose representations change sharply between adjacent layers, capturing the knowledge each layer adds. Finally, we decouple this knowledge into consistency and conflict evidence and aggregate each across layers with its own router, adapting to varying conflict levels. Experiments on three benchmarks show that MLCCD outperforms existing methods.

Decoupling and Regulating Modality Heads for Fake News Detection under Missing Modality

Kai Qian, Dongjie Xu, Weijie Shi, Yezhao Xu, Jiaqi Wang, Hanghui Guo, Mengze Li, Hao Chen 等 10 位作者

Multimodal news often loses its image or text as it spreads across Web platforms. Existing methods treat this as information loss, assuming that the original veracity label remains valid. This assumption fails for fake news reusing authentic material, whose remainder may be genuine. Detectors should therefore decouple modality cues and adapt their contributions to modality availability. However, coarse news labels provide little guidance for modality decoupling, while training on complete inputs can induce modality bias. To address these challenges, we propose Head-wise Modality Decoupling and Regulation (HMDR) for multimodal large language models. First, Modality Head Decoupling decouples modality representations through soft head grouping by attention preference. Second, Modality Head Regulation regulates head contributions through compensation for imbalanced modality attention. Finally, Modality Invariance Learning promotes invariance by aligning representations of each modality under replacement of the other. Experiments on two benchmarks show that HMDR improves detection under missing modalities while maintaining performance on complete inputs.

Encode Once, Decode Never: Reusing Audio LM Internals for Efficient Temporal Localization

Joseph An, Phillip Keung, Jiaqi Wang, Orevaoghene Ahia, Noah A. Smith

Audio language models process input audio into rich frame-level representations, but the standard approach to temporal localization generates timestamps as sequences of text tokens, which discards the frame-level representations in favor of autoregressive decoding. However, generating timestamps as tokens is slow and not parallelizable, and tends to hallucinate when producing timestamps outside the training distribution. We propose internal frame-level reuse, a method that trains audio LMs to reuse their own internal audio representations for temporal localization directly, bypassing token generation altogether. We introduce a lightweight prediction head trained via different frame-level objectives: a binary frame classifier and a novel inhomogeneous Poisson process (IHP) loss that models temporal event intensity. Across word localization, speaker diarization, and event localization tasks, our approach can achieve a >50x inference speedup over token-based generation and demonstrates robust length generalization, maintaining high accuracy on out-of-distribution audio durations where token-based models collapse completely. We find that reusing audio frame-level representations yields localization accuracies comparable to (and often better than) finetuned token-based baselines.

MinerU2.5: A Decoupled Vision-Language Model for Efficient High-Resolution Document Parsing

Junbo Niu, Zheng Liu, Zhuangcheng Gu, Bin Wang, Linke Ouyang, Zhiyuan Zhao, Tao Chu, Tianyao He 等 59 位作者

We introduce MinerU2.5, a 1.2B-parameter document parsing vision-language model that achieves state-of-the-art recognition accuracy while maintaining exceptional computational efficiency. Our approach employs a coarse-to-fine, two-stage parsing strategy that decouples global layout analysis from local content recognition. In the first stage, the model performs efficient layout analysis on downsampled images to identify structural elements, circumventing the computational overhead of processing high-resolution inputs. In the second stage, guided by the global layout, it performs targeted content recognition on native-resolution crops extracted from the original image, preserving fine-grained details in dense text, complex formulas, and tables. To support this strategy, we developed a comprehensive data engine that generates diverse, large-scale training corpora for both pretraining and fine-tuning. Ultimately, MinerU2.5 demonstrates strong document parsing ability, achieving state-of-the-art performance on multiple benchmarks, surpassing both general-purpose and domain-specific models across various recognition tasks, while maintaining significantly lower computational overhead.

WebSynthesis: World Model-Guided Monte Carlo Tree Search for Efficient WebAgent Trajectory Synthesis

Yifei Gao, Junhong Ye Beijing Jiaotong University, Yifan Yang, Jiaqi Wang, Yi Zhang Ant Group, Zhang Ruichen, Jitao Sang Beijing Jiaotong University

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have enabled increasingly capable web agents, yet training such agents still relies on high-quality interaction trajectories that are difficult to obtain at scale. We identify two key challenges: (1) Infrastructure Overhead, where network instability and website access restrictions limit data collection scalability; and (2) Constrained Exploration, where irreversible state transitions preclude tree-based search and thus limit trajectory diversity. To address these challenges, we introduce WebSynthesis, a framework for scalable trajectory synthesis. WebSynthesis employs an LLM-based World Model to simulate state transitions without network dependencies, and integrates Monte Carlo Tree Search to enable reversible exploration over the simulated state space. Experiments on WebArena, WebVoyager, and Mind2Web-Online demonstrate that agents trained exclusively on synthesized trajectories outperform those trained on real-world data, providing a viable alternative to costly real-world data collection.

VideoPro: Adaptive Program Reasoning for Long Video Understanding

Chenglin Li, Feng Han, Yikun Wang Fudan University and Shanghai Innovation Institute, Ruilin Li Wuhan University and Shanghai Innovation Institute, Shuai Dong, Haowen Hou ETHZ - ETH Zurich and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Haitao Li, Qianglong Chen 等 12 位作者

Understanding long videos remains challenging due to the sparsity of visual evidence relevant to a given query. Prior work has explored program-based visual grounding, typically relying on executable programs generated by auxiliary large language models. However, when scaling to long videos, existing approaches face several critical limitations: (1) frame-centric vision modules are often insufficient for long video processing; (2) naively applying program-based reasoning to all queries incurs considerable computational overhead; and (3) errors arising from low-confidence predictions and imperfect program execution are difficult to recover from. To address these challenges, we propose VideoPro, a unified framework that enables VideoLLMs to adaptively reason over long videos and refine their predictions through executable programs. VideoPro first performs adaptive reasoning, dynamically determining whether a query can be resolved directly by the native VideoLLM or requires explicit multi-step program reasoning. For complex queries, the model decomposes the task into executable programs that invoke specialized vision modules for precise temporal and semantic grounding. To further improve robustness, VideoPro incorporates a self-refinement mechanism that leverages execution feedback and confidence signals to correct erroneous executions and refine low-confidence reasoning programs. By tightly integrating adaptive reasoning with self-refinement, VideoPro consistently outperforms prior methods across multiple long-video understanding benchmarks, yielding an average 6.7% improvement for Qwen3-VL-8B.
