TSQAgent: Rating Time Series Data Quality via Dedicated Agentic Reasoning

原文摘要

Assessing the quality of time series (TS) data is fundamental yet inherently challenging due to the multifaceted nature of quality dimensions. Recently, large language models (LLMs) have emerged as a promising paradigm for TS quality assessment via pairwise comparison and per-dimension evaluation. However, existing approaches rely on manually predefined quality dimensions and purely text-based reasoning, leaving it unknown whether LLMs can identify truly relevant quality dimensions or perform grounded and quantitative quality comparisons. To investigate this, we construct TSQBench, a dedicated benchmark for evaluating LLMs on two progressive capabilities: (i) understanding and identifying relevant quality dimensions, and (ii) performing quality comparison under specific dimensions. Our analysis reveals that current LLMs consistently struggle with both dimension identification and evidence-grounded quality comparison. To address these limitations, we propose TSQAgent, a novel agentic reasoning framework for TS quality rating consisting of three collaborative roles: Perceiver for focused dimension selection, Inspector for dimension-wise quantitative analysis, and Adjudicator that aggregates and refines the final judgment. In particular, we introduce an agentic reasoning strategy that instills the ability to identify and prioritize the most relevant quality dimensions, and further propose an agent workflow equipped with external analytical tools to enable precise quantitative comparisons over selected dimensions. Experiments on both the proposed benchmark and eleven real-world datasets demonstrate that our framework not only substantially improves LLMs' capabilities in quality understanding and quantitative comparison but also effectively translates these improvements into better quality-aware data selection, leading to enhanced downstream performance and data efficiency.

Scaling critic capacity is a promising direction for improving off-policy reinforcement learning (RL). However, recent work shows that larger critics are prone to overfitting and instability in replay-based bootstrapped training. In this paper, we propose using Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA) as a structural regularizer for critic learning from scratch. Our approach freezes randomly initialized base matrices and optimizes only the corresponding low-rank adapters, thereby constraining the learned weight changes to low-rank residuals. We evaluate our method on state-based continuous-control tasks, using SAC with SimbaV2 and BRC on DMC-Hard, and FastTD3 with its SimbaV2 variant on IsaacLab. Empirically, LoRA reduces critic loss during training and improves overall policy performance, achieving the best or competitive results on most tasks. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our low-rank updates provide a simple and effective form of structural regularization for critic learning in off-policy RL.

CAD-WAM: Anticipating Geometry for Text-to-CAD Generation

Zhengyang Li, Weijie Zheng, Yuxin Cui, Sijie Wang, Wenjie Feng, Qiyu Kang

原文摘要

Generating editable computer-aided design (CAD) models from text requires selecting operations that produce the intended changes to the geometry constructed so far. An incorrect operation can compromise subsequent steps, making reliable multi-step generation challenging. Existing methods based on large language models (LLMs) primarily learn to predict commands, without explicit supervision of the geometric states those commands should produce. Inspired by world-action models, we introduce CAD-WAM, which couples geometry-conditioned action generation with next-state prediction. We define complete modeling operations as actions in a CAD domain-specific language (DSL) and encode surface point clouds of intermediate solids into compact latent states using a pretrained variational autoencoder. An LLM backbone generates the next action from the target description and current geometric state, while an auxiliary head on the same backbone predicts the next state to provide geometric supervision during training. We construct step-wise training trajectories from parametric CAD models in the DeepCAD dataset, pairing each trajectory with an expert-level textual description. At inference, each generated action is executed by a CAD kernel, and the resulting solid is re-encoded to inform the next decision. On the DeepCAD test set, CAD-WAM outperforms the task-specific baselines in geometric accuracy and output validity, with larger gains on models requiring more operations, and produces more accurate geometry than general-purpose LLMs prompted with the same DSL. Ablations further show that next-state supervision reduces mean Chamfer distance by 13.2\% relative to an otherwise identical model trained only to predict actions. Code is available at https://github.com/Lzy-1037/CAD-WAM.

原文摘要

Game development stresses coding agents in ways general software engineering does not: correctness depends on how engine APIs, serialized scene state, and runtime behavior interact, not on source code alone. Existing benchmarks mainly target platforms such as Godot and heavily rely on LLM judges or coarse task-level outcomes. We present UnityBench-Mini3D, a benchmark of 77 project-level Unity tasks organized around seven expert-defined skill categories rather than tutorials or genres, with three difficulty tiers. Each task pairs a complete Unity project with natural-language requirements and is evaluated using 1,178 held-out, human-authored milestone tests covering scene structure, component configuration, and runtime behavior. This in-engine evaluation provides deterministic partial credit, localizes failures, and distinguishes partial implementations from complete solutions without relying on subjective judges. Across 21 models and 9 coding harnesses, the average pass rate reaches 80.9% on easy tasks but falls to 35.2% on hard tasks, with just 57.7% overall. UnityBench-Mini3D provides a reproducible, diagnostic testbed distinguishing systems across difficulty levels.

原文摘要

Interactive articles help readers engage with complex ideas through exploration, yet creating them remains costly, requiring both domain expertise and web development skills. Recent LLM-based agents can automate content creation, but naively applying them yields uncontrollable and unverifiable outputs. We present Vividoc, a human-agent collaborative system that generates interactive educational documents from a single topic input. Vividoc introduces a multi-agent pipeline (Planner, Executor, Evaluator) and the Document Specification (DocSpec), a human-readable intermediate representation that decomposes each interactive visualization into State, Render, Transition, and Constraint components. The DocSpec enables educators to review and refine generation plans before code is produced, bridging the gap between pedagogical intent and executable output. We collect a dataset of 101 real-world interactive documents across 11 domains and conduct a user study showing that ViviDoc produces documents comparable in quality to human-authored ones. Our demo is available at https://vividoc.vercel.app/ and a video demonstration at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJrnPJLyHUI.

原文摘要

Continual learning (CL) for large language models (LLMs) aims to enable sequential knowledge acquisition without catastrophic forgetting. Memory replay methods are widely used for their practicality and effectiveness, but most rely on fixed, step-based heuristics that often misalign with the model’s actual learning progress, since identical training steps can result in varying degrees of parameter change. Motivated by recent findings that LLM forgetting mirrors the Ebbinghaus human forgetting curve, we propose FOREVER (FORgEtting curVe-inspired mEmory Replay), a novel CL framework that aligns replay schedules with a model-centric notion of time. FOREVER defines model time using the magnitude of optimizer updates, allowing forgetting curve-inspired replay intervals to align with the model’s internal evolution rather than raw training steps. Building on this approach, FOREVER incorporates a forgetting curve-based replay scheduler to determine when to replay and an intensity-aware regularization mechanism to adaptively control how to replay. Extensive experiments on three CL benchmarks and models ranging from 0.6B to 13B parameters demonstrate that FOREVER consistently mitigates catastrophic forgetting.

原文摘要

Infographics are composite visual artifacts that combine data visualizations with textual and illustrative elements to communicate information. While recent text-to-image (T2I) models can generate aesthetically appealing images, their reliability in generating infographics remains unclear. Generated infographics may appear correct at first glance but contain easily overlooked issues, such as distorted data encoding or incorrect textual content. We present IGenBench, the first benchmark for evaluating the reliability of text-to-infographic generation, comprising 600 curated test cases spanning 30 infographic types. We design an automated evaluation framework that decomposes reliability verification into atomic yes/no questions based on a taxonomy of 10 question types. We employ multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to verify each question, yielding question-level accuracy (Q-ACC) and infographic-level accuracy (I-ACC). We comprehensively evaluate 10 state-of-the-art T2I models on IGenBench. Our systematic analysis reveals key insights for future model development: (i) a three-tier performance hierarchy with the top model achieving Q-ACC of 0.90 but I-ACC of only 0.49; (ii) data-related dimensions emerging as universal bottlenecks (e.g., Data Completeness: 0.21); and (iii) the challenge of achieving end-to-end correctness across all models.

WebClipper: Efficient Evolution of Web Agents with Graph-based Trajectory Pruning

原文摘要

Deep Research systems based on web agents have shown strong potential in solving complex information-seeking tasks, yet their search efficiency remains underexplored. We observe that many state-of-the-art open-source web agents rely on long tool-call trajectories with cyclic reasoning loops and exploration of unproductive branches. To address this, we propose WebClipper, a framework that compresses web agent trajectories via graph-based pruning. Concretely, we model the agent’s search process as a state graph and cast trajectory optimization as a minimum-necessary Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) mining problem, yielding pruned trajectories that preserve essential reasoning while eliminating redundant steps. Continued training on these refined trajectories enables the agent to evolve toward more efficient search patterns and reduces tool-call rounds by about 20% while improving accuracy. Furthermore, we introduce a new metric called F-AE Score to measure the model’s overall performance in balancing accuracy and efficiency. Experiments demonstrate that WebClipper compresses tool-call rounds under excellent performance, providing practical insight into balancing effectiveness and efficiency in web agent design.
