DoGNAVY-Exploit: Harnessing Parallel Open-Weight Agents for Stage-Aware Vulnerability Exploitation

原文摘要

Frontier LLM agents can turn known vulnerabilities into working exploits, but are costly and often access-restricted due to their potential for malicious use. Open-weight models offer a more accessible alternative, but struggle to maintain progress across long exploitation chains. They also often fail to apply relevant security knowledge at the appropriate stage and in the right context to identify and evaluate promising attack directions. To address these limitations, we propose DoGNAVY-Exploit, a multi-agent harness built around two complementary designs: stage-aware decomposition with progressive expert knowledge disclosure, and hierarchical orchestration with parallel exploration. Specifically, DoGNAVY-Exploit uses configurable milestones to recast long-horizon exploitation as short, verifiable capability transitions and provides only the knowledge relevant to each stage. Within each milestone, a hierarchical architecture separates strategic planning from parallel execution: a planner proposes diverse attack routes, executors test them concurrently, and a controller accepts progress only when supported by runtime evidence. A shared structured memory consolidates verified facts, artifacts, replay steps, and failed routes across branches, allowing agents to build on collective progress and carry validated knowledge into subsequent milestones. In controlled benchmark environments, DoGNAVY-Exploit with GLM-5.2 achieves 97.5% Pass@1 on Cybench, and 97.5% zero-day and 100% one-day Pass@1 on CVE-Bench. On ExploitGym, it solves 79 tasks with GLM-5.2 and 157 with GLM-5.3, while the corresponding public Claude Code baselines solve 39 and 130 tasks, respectively. Ablation results further demonstrate that the stage-aware orchestration, expert knowledge, parallel exploration, and memory designs can substantially improve the exploitation capabilities of open-weight agents.

Efficient Hybrid Distillation: Synergizing Score and Adversarial Objectives for One-Step Diffusion

原文摘要

Numerous distillation methods have been developed to accelerate diffusion models. Recent research indicates that hybrid strategies---blending different paradigms---yield superior results compared to single-method approaches. However, current works predominantly rely on a simple combination of objectives, leaving the question of how to effectively synergize them largely underexplored. In this paper, we specifically investigate the synergy between Score Distillation and Adversarial Distillation. We reveal that their operating zones are distinct and complementary: Score Distillation is effective in high-noise regimes for capturing the global distribution yet lacks fine-grained supervision in low-noise regions. Conversely, Adversarial Distillation is effective in low-noise regions but is prone to instability and suffers from discriminator failure when applied to high-noise intervals. Leveraging this insight, we propose Efficient Adversarial Score Distillation (EASD), a framework that synergizes these objectives via a regime-adaptive sampling strategy, directing each objective to focus on its effective interval. We further apply this paradigm to DiT-based Flow Matching models. Empirically, our method achieves a promising one-step FID of 1.39 on ImageNet 256$\times$256 using the SiT-XL/2+REPA model. This work provides a concrete guideline for maximizing the potential of hybrid distillation. Our code and model are available at https://github.com/pf0607/EASD .

Simple-VGC: Enhancing Visual Grounding in Multimodal Reasoning via Adaptive Tool Composition

原文摘要

Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have achieved strong performance on vision-language tasks, yet often fail to preserve and effectively leverage visual evidence throughout generation. We identify three fundamental types of visual grounding failures: Long-Context Grounding Error, where visual information gradually decays over long sequences; Fine-Grained Grounding Error, where low-resolution or degraded inputs hinder the recovery of detailed visual information; and Regional Grounding Error, where spatially diffuse attention weakens region-level vision-language alignment. To address these issues, we propose a tool-augmented reasoning framework with three targeted compensation strategies: reuse, which re-injects the original image to mitigate visual forgetting; focus_area, which constrains attention to task-relevant regions; and zoom_in, which enhances visual resolution for fine-grained perception. We further construct the TWI-Tools-146K dataset and develop Simple-VGC, a tool-augmented MLLM that interleaves visual and textual tokens. Extensive experiments show that each tool yields targeted improvements for its corresponding grounding error, while their combination produces synergistic gains in visual reasoning. Beyond performance, our analysis provides mechanistic insights into how tool-based interventions improve visual grounding, pointing toward more reliable multimodal reasoning.
