OmniFaceRig: Fully Automatic Inner-Mouth-Aware Face Rigging Across Diverse 3D Character Topologies

Facial rigging--creating Facial Action Coding System (FACS) blendshapes and inner-mouth geometry (teeth, gums, and tongue)--remains a major bottleneck in 3D character production. We present OmniFaceRig, a fully automatic end-to-end pipeline that converts a static surface-only 3D character mesh, with no pre-modeled oral cavity, into an inner-mouth-aware FACS rig with up to 155 blendshapes, procedurally fitted teeth, gums, and tongue, and re-packed UV/texture. It supports humans, humanoids, and long- and short-muzzled animals with no manual landmarks, user-provided templates, or per-asset setup. OmniFaceRig combines a hybrid vision-language and computer vision riggability checker, a four-model face segmentation ensemble, keypoint-driven template registration, procedural inner-mouth construction, and collision-aware blendshape transfer. For non-human characters, it selects topology-specific templates with a nose-landmark-free design and uses as-rigid-as-possible deformation with signed-distance-field constraints to reduce teeth-face intersections. We also introduce Omni-Bench, an open-source benchmark of more than 1,000 biped 3D characters rigged with FACS blendshapes and inner-mouth geometry, spanning humans, humanoids, cats, dogs, and other animals. Experiments show high rigging success, nearly complete face detection recall, low inner-mouth penetration, and 20-30 s end-to-end latency per asset on a single A100 GPU.

TAPES: Task-Aligned Joint Predictive Pretraining for Transaction Event Sequences

Ruobing Zuo, Weiyu Han, Huilin He, Haoyu Jiang, Ze Zhao, Jie Sheng, Xiao Tan, Shuai Chen 等 9 位作者

Transaction event sequences support diverse prediction tasks in online commerce and digital financial services. The same transaction records can yield prediction targets with different semantics, including values, changes, and relations to past events. These targets impose different constraints on history representations, but their predictability alone does not establish the downstream utility of a target set. Moreover, target-wise prediction losses do not explicitly model conditional co-occurrence among targets. To address these challenges, we propose TAPES, a task-aligned joint predictive pretraining framework for transaction sequences. TAPES constructs a finite collection of candidate target sets from admissible field-operator combinations. It selects a target set according to the downstream utility of representations learned through short joint pretraining trials under matched budgets. It then reinitializes the encoder and pretrains it on the selected targets through a joint likelihood parameterized by a shared discrete latent variable, before downstream supervised adaptation. Experiments in a real-world transaction-risk setting and on multiple public financial benchmarks spanning diverse downstream tasks demonstrate that TAPES outperforms representative baselines. Ablation studies further validate the contributions of predictive target selection and joint modeling.

InterFuse: Interaction-Guided Adaptive Fusion of Heterogeneous Models for Payment Risk Ranking

Haoyu Jiang, Weiyu Han, Ze Zhao, Jie Sheng, Ruobing Zuo, Xiao Tan, Shuai Chen, Tianyi Zhang

Payment platforms use view-specific models trained on transaction attributes, behavioral histories, and relational structures to rank transactions under limited review budgets. However, existing fusion methods often focus on prediction scores or interactions among model representations, with less attention to how these interactions should guide aggregation using each model's original prediction and input coverage. To address this limitation, we propose InterFuse, a fusion framework that uses a shared fusion state from cross-model interaction to guide transaction-adaptive aggregation. InterFuse encodes each model's representation, prediction score, and input coverage as a model-specific token, using learned states for unavailable outputs. Availability-aware attention updates these tokens and produces a shared fusion state. This state then guides aggregation over available models using their updated representations, original predictions, and input coverage. We evaluate InterFuse on an industrial payment replay and three public financial benchmarks using the same upstream models across fusion methods. InterFuse achieves the highest top-ranked recall and AUC on all four datasets, improving Recall@1% by 1.11-8.09 percentage points over the strongest baselines. Ablations show the benefits of cross-model interaction and adaptive aggregation, while industrial analyses find larger interaction gains when model predictions disagree. Additional analyses examine robustness to missing outputs and the trade-off between ranking gains and fusion latency.

CuBot-STT: Simultaneously Transport and Tighten for Lattice-type Modular Reconfiguration Robot

Chongxi Meng, Da Zhao, Yanmin Zhou, Runjie Shen, Zhipeng Wang, Bin He

Lattice-type modular reconfigurable robots rearrange standardized modules across tasks. Dedicated transport robots reduce module weight and cost by eliminating module level reconfiguration actuators. But existing systems use low capacity connections or internal fastening robots that occupy space for functional components. This paper presents CuBot-STT, which integrates module transport, interface locking, and release in one external robot. Cubic modules provide structural support and $24\,\mathrm{V}$ power distribution. On each face, a gear transmission converts one external input into motion of four helical locking points, preserving internal space. The robot uses alternating foot support, a gripper for module handling, and a tightening head for interface actuation. The controller coordinates two-foot support and module locking through continuous constraint transfers. The planner decomposes relocation costs into an analytical lower bound and a residual learned through expert-guided, goal conditioned Q-learning. Contact face $A^*$ search expands relocation sequences into robot primitives satisfying connectivity, asymmetric manipulation, and foot stance constraints. Experiments demonstrate normal and tangential interface capacities of $300\,\mathrm{N}$ and $490\,\mathrm{N}$, electrical continuity across six modules, and autonomous reconfiguration of an 11-module lattice. Planning benchmarks show superior search efficiency over analytical guidance and bidirectional heuristic search, with generalization beyond training lattice sizes without fine-tuning.

HALO: Human-Grounded Granular Evaluation of Proactive Agents

Wenqi Pei, Xinyu Wang, Jinrui Liu, Cynthia Zhuge, Jie Sheng, Zihan Wang, Tenghao Huang, Muhao Chen

Proactive agents must decide whether, when, and how far to assist without an explicit request. Existing evaluations often rely on automated scores or binary verdicts, offering limited human diagnosis of evidence use and intervention quality. To address these gaps, we introduce HALO, Human-Grounded GrAnular EvaLuation of PrOactive Agents. HALO-Arena covers 4 proactive need types, Dependency, Blockage, Risk, and Opportunity, across 10 everyday domains and 50 personal environments. Scenarios require agents to retrieve evidence from structured databases or unstructured documents before judging whether assistance is warranted and choosing its scope. On HALO-Arena, we construct HALO-8K, a dataset of 8,000 responses from 10 models across 400 scenarios, annotated by 20 experts for action level, acceptability verdicts, and human diagnosis. For rejected responses, human diagnosis covers timing, intensity, and other issues. Recorded reasoning tokens and retrieval rounds measure the effort behind these responses. The best proprietary and open-source models achieve 72.88% and 56.63% acceptability, respectively. Our central finding is that over-proactivity is the dominant observed failure mode, with Premature timing or Excessive intensity accounting for 61.20% of rejected responses. Further analyses yield complementary findings on the balance between intervention and restraint, evidence acquisition, and the calibration of timing and intensity.

TRIDENT-Seq: Profile-Matched Prefix-Future Contrast for Label-Efficient Payment Risk Modeling

Weiyu Han, Haoyu Jiang, Jie Sheng, Ruobing Zuo, Huilin He, Ze Zhao, Xiao Tan, Nairong Zhang 等 10 位作者

Ant International accumulates large volumes of transaction history across users and payment businesses. Confirmed fraud and chargeback outcomes, by contrast, are scarce, delayed, and specific to each business. A single encoder pretrained on unlabeled histories could serve all businesses, but only if pretraining captures the behavior that separates risk. Coarse activity differences can make contrastive pretraining on transaction logs too easy: transaction volume, amount, and timing can distinguish a history's continuation from arbitrary candidates without modeling how payment resources are used. We present TRIDENT-Seq, a transaction foundation model trained with Prefix-Future Contrast (PFC). PFC matches each prefix to a summary of its subsequent behavior among candidates with similar activity profiles; activity prediction and dispersion regularization act on the encoder output. Across three production payment businesses, the pretrained encoder improves average precision (AP) and recall at a 0.5% intervention budget over architecture-matched scratch training in all six business-budget settings. With a fixed validation set, it exceeds full-label scratch training in mean AP and recall using 10% of the training labels on Wallet and 25% on Shopping and SME. Pretraining only on another business's histories still helps. Replacing profile-matched candidates with random ones cuts recall from 24.62% to 5.64%. In Ant International's deployment evaluation, recorded amount-based chargeback and overall loss rates are 37.7% and 37.9% lower than those of the previous XGBoost-based system under the same intervention budget.

RAVEN: A Unified Active SLAM System for Rapid Autonomous Visual Exploration with Aerial Robots under Localization Uncertainty

Xinyi Chen, Yichen Zhang, Chenxing Jiang, Shaojie Shen

Active simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) addresses the problem of planning robot motion to build complete and accurate maps of unknown environments through efficient exploration while maintaining high localization accuracy. This raises a dilemma between exploring unknown spaces to expand coverage and exploiting visited regions to perform active loop closures. Despite numerous prior works on ground robots, aerial robots with high agility and constrained sensor suites face more significant localization drift and thereby demand dedicated active SLAM planning. Moreover, a unified strategy that adapts performance based on task-specific priorities remains an open question. In this article, we introduce RAVEN, a unified active SLAM framework for Rapid Autonomous Visual ExploratioN using quadrotors, which systematically accounts for localization uncertainty. The framework starts with identifying frontiers and active loop closure candidates, from which global tour candidates are generated. These candidates are evaluated using a utility vector that separately quantifies exploration efficiency and localization accuracy, and the final tour is selected according to a prioritization parameter ranging from $[0,1]$. Finally, a perception-aware navigation planner generates smooth execution trajectories that minimize visual state estimation error based on the online Fisher information field that provides visual localization information in real-time. Benchmark evaluations demonstrate that RAVEN outperforms state-of-the-art active SLAM methods, highlighting its advantages in producing a spectrum of performance across prioritizations. Fully onboard field experiments with a customized stereo-inertial quadrotor further validate its practical applicability in challenging environments. The source code will be released to benefit the community.

Recovering topological information of light by topological learning

Benquan Wang, Trishita Das, Yuhan Peng, Tatjana Kleine, Shanshan Chang, Jinhui Chen, Nilo Mata-Cervera, Chunyu Li 等 11 位作者

The evolution of modern-day communication networks towards enhanced capacity and robustness is driving interest in topological light wave as a next-generation information carrier. However, harnessing its potential is hindered by the lack of an effective topological reader, particularly when strong disorder renders conventional readout intractable. Here we address this by introducing TOPO$^{2}$, an artificial intelligence framework that leverages on topological learning to recover topological information from light. We demonstrate it on highly distorted optical fields with embedded Skyrmion topologies, showing that we can extract the topological numbers in a single shot with just a conventional camera. We showcase its capability in a TOPO$^{2}$-based communication scheme, sending and recovering information encoded in a topological alphabet, confirming that it outperforms conventional approaches. Our connection of topological photonics with topological AI as a powerful paradigm for robust high-capacity information encoding and processing opens a new path towards topological information optics.

LLM-Enhanced Heterogeneous Graph Learning with Business Semantics for Financial Fraud Detection

Yixuan Chen, Hongyu Zhan, Jie Sheng, Weiyu Han, Shuai Chen, Tianyi Zhang, Xiao Tan, Jun Xia

Financial fraud detection increasingly relies on heterogeneous transaction graphs, in which entities such as cards and merchants play distinct business roles and the risk meaning of an attribute depends on the entity's role: a high transaction volume may be routine for a merchant but unusual for a card. Heterogeneous graph neural networks preserve typed entities and relations but typically treat these attributes as role-agnostic inputs and leave their business meaning implicit. Meanwhile, most existing methods integrating large language models (LLMs) with graphs focus on homogeneous graphs or heterogeneous graphs with naturally available textual attributes, leaving their use on transaction graphs with structured attributes underexplored. To address this issue, we propose SemHGT, an LLM-enhanced framework that interprets structured attributes according to entity roles and makes the business semantics explicit in three stages: (1) role-aware prompts elicit risk-related business descriptions from node attributes, and a text encoder maps them to semantic vectors that enrich node representations; (2) semantic similarity guides multi-round sampling of target-specific path instances under transaction-to-transaction schemas; (3) schema-level tokens that combine local path evidence with global neighbor summaries are processed together with the target transaction by a unified transformer. Across three benchmark datasets, SemHGT leads the evaluated baselines on most dataset--metric comparisons. Further analyses provide additional evidence for the effectiveness of SemHGT's design and clarify how its semantic modeling and evidence selection contribute to fraud detection. Code is available at https://anonymous.4open.science/r/SemHGT-528A/.

Fed-MAPTrack: Federated Modality-aware Prompt Tuning for RGB-X Tracking

Xiangyu Liu, Yijie Shen, Yue Yin, Zhitong Yin, Yongqi Pan, Wentao Fan

RGB-X tracking complements RGB appearance with thermal, depth, or event observations, but centralized training requires collecting multimodal videos at a single location. Federated training keeps raw videos local, but sensor heterogeneity can create a mismatch between parameter-sharing domains and the clients contributing to them. This mismatch is particularly relevant when RGB-only clients coexist with sensor-equipped clients: their RGB observations remain useful, but they provide no auxiliary measurements for learning sensor-dependent interactions. We propose Fed-MAPTrack, a modality-aware federated prompt tuning framework for RGB-X tracking. The pretrained tracking backbone and prediction head are frozen, and clients optimize and exchange only prompt-related parameters. The server aggregates RGB-shared parameters globally and maintains separate thermal, event, and depth banks for auxiliary-specific, fusion, and normalization parameters. Selective participation retains RGB-only clients' contributions to the global RGB bank while excluding their fusion and normalization updates from modality-specific aggregation. Across three matched training repetitions under a fixed client partition, Fed-MAPTrack improves the mean FedAvg scores by 2.35 AUC points on LasHeR, 3.45 SR points on VisEvent, and 2.11 F-score points on DepthTrack. Among the nine evaluated methods, it achieves the highest mean thermal AUC and depth F-score, while its mean event SR is 0.07 points below that of Independent FL. Controlled ablations show that extending the bucketing scope without a compatible participation rule can reduce performance. These results highlight the need to jointly define the sharing domain and eligible contributors for each parameter group.

Adaptive Spatial and Temporal Redundancy Optimization for Efficient Reasoning in Large Language Models

Tianle Chen Xi'an Jiaotong University, Pengyu Cheng Xi'an Jiaotong University, Qiyuan Zhu, Jiacheng Wang Xi'an Jiaotong University, Bei Liu The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hao Gu The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Ruijie Shen Toulouse School of Economics, Xiaofeng Hou Shanghai Jiaotong University 等 10 位作者

Large Language Models (LLMs) have achieved exceptional performance in complex reasoning via Chain-of-Thought (CoT), yet the associated computational costs remain prohibitive. CoT reasoning contains significant untapped efficiency potential across two dimensions: temporal redundancy, where reasoning steps may be unnecessary, and spatial redundancy, where computations can be performed at reduced precision. While current optimization techniques often necessitate resource-intensive fine-tuning or data curation, we introduce ASTRO (Adaptive Spatial and Temporal Redundancy Optimization), a training-free framework that simultaneously addresses both dimensions. ASTRO leverages Dewey’s reflective thinking model to segment reasoning phases, applying a progressive precision reduction strategy coupled with an entropy-based confidence mechanism for adaptive termination. Empirical results across diverse reasoning benchmarks demonstrate that ASTRO achieves up to an 11.3 \times efficiency gain without compromising accuracy, highlighting the advantages of holistic multi-dimensional redundancy management over isolated optimization methods.

Is the Attention Matrix Really the Key to Self-Attention in Multivariate Long-Term Time Series Forecasting?

Xinyu Li, Kexi Chen, Jiajie Shen Fudan University, Ying Zheng, Hong Lu Fudan University, Jin Zhao Fudan University, Xin Wang Fudan University

In multivariate long-term time series forecasting, it is widely believed that the effectiveness of self-attention arises from its attention matrix. We challenge this assumption with a counterintuitive finding: our experiments, conducted on three classic and three latest Transformer models, show that dot-product attention can be replaced by element-wise operations without token interaction, such as the addition and Hadamard product, while maintaining or even improving accuracy. This leads to our central hypothesis: the effectiveness of self-attention in this task stems not from the dynamic attention matrix, but from the multi-branch feature extraction inherent in the parallel projections to Query, Key, and Value matrices and their fusion. To validate this, we construct a simple multi-branch MLP that isolates the ‘multi-branch mapping with element-wise operation’ structure from the Transformer and show that it achieves competitive performance. Our results indicate that the source of performance in self-attention has been misattributed, suggesting that the true benefit lies in the architectural principle of multi-branch mapping and fusion, not in the attention matrix.
