HairDeck:从单张图像生成可动画的风格化发片

HairDeck: Animation-Ready Stylized Hair Cards from a Single Image

Yuze He, Yixiang Wei, Wang Zhao, Chuhao Chen, Yanning Zhou, Yong-Jin Liu

AI 速览:HairDeck 将风格化发型视为无序的发片集合,用集合扩散 Transformer 从单张图像一次性生成发片及其弹簧骨骼链,得到可直接导出的可动画资产。

The hair of stylized characters in games and avatars is built from hair cards: artist-placed ribbons whose geometry is the visible hair, animated by spring bones. Existing image-based methods produce realistic hair or a single fused mesh, while CHARM, the only generator of stylized hair cards, decodes a hairstyle autoregressively as a long sequence of control points. Observing that a card hairstyle is an unordered set of artist-defined primitives, we propose HairDeck, which generates it as one: each card is a single token, and a set diffusion transformer denoises all cards together. From a single image, HairDeck generates the cards and the spring-bone chains that drive them, yielding an animatable asset that exports to ready-to-use downstream formats. On CHARM's own test set, it lowers Chamfer distance by 44% and card-orientation error by more than half while running 33 times faster, and from single images it outperforms CHARM, image-to-3D pipelines and strand-based methods. Learning a Motion Manifold to Constrain Ambiguity in Unsupervised 4D Medical Image Interpolation

Haojin Li, Huazhu Fu, Heng Li, Jiang Liu

Unsupervised 4D medical image interpolation reconstructs intermediate anatomical states from temporally sparse observations without intermediate supervision. Distinct motion fields may attain comparable endpoint agreement while producing different intermediate anatomy, giving rise to motion ambiguity. This ambiguity is difficult to constrain when many independently adjustable motion variables must be estimated from the observed endpoints. We develop a framework that learns a motion manifold to restrict candidate motion fields while retaining sample-specific variation. Cross-Sample Spectral Basis Learning extracts recurring motion structure from endpoint-derived dense estimates and encodes it in a shared spectral basis. Sample-Conditioned Cayley Basis Reorientation uses predicted motion coordinates to rotate the effective motion directions for each endpoint pair without increasing the number of independent coordinates. Their composition defines a nonlinear family of complete velocity fields across endpoint pairs, accommodating anatomical and motion-state differences within a restricted representation. Integrating each predicted field supports bidirectional reconstruction at arbitrary intermediate times. Theoretical analysis establishes sufficient conditions under which endpoint observations distinguish nearby motions within the learned family. Experiments on ACDC and 4D-Lung demonstrate state-of-the-art performance among the evaluated methods trained without intermediate volumes and competitive results against methods using intermediate supervision.

UniRA: Unified Representation Alignment and Auto-Encoding for Efficient Diffusion Generation

An Lanji, Dawei Liu, Jin Li, Haoran Xu, Mei Chen, Yu Tian

Diffusion transformers (DiTs) have become the dominant architecture for high-fidelity image synthesis, yet they suffer from slow training convergence and high computational cost. Two recent lines of work address this from complementary angles: Representation Alignment (REPA) accelerates DiT training by aligning intermediate features with a pretrained external representation model (e.g., DINOv2), while Representation Auto-Encoders (RAE) replace the pixel-space VAE with a compact representation-space tokenizer learned from self-supervised features. However, these approaches are developed and applied in isolation: REPA still relies on a pixel-space VAE for latent diffusion, and RAE does not exploit the alignment signal that accelerates the diffusion backbone. We present \textbf{UniRA}, a unified framework that couples representation alignment and representation auto-encoding into a single objective. UniRA learns a representation-space tokenizer whose output serves simultaneously as the diffusion target and the alignment anchor, so the tokenizer, the diffusion backbone, and the external representation model are co-optimized. We give a theoretical result showing that this joint optimization preserves the representation quality of the external model while accelerating diffusion convergence, and we derive a principled weighting that balances the reconstruction, alignment, and generation objectives. On ImageNet class-conditional generation at 256*256 and 512*512, UniRA matches or surpasses state-of-the-art DiTs (SD3, REPA, RAE) in FID while reducing training steps by up to 5*. We further show that the unified representation space supports improved zero-shot classification and linear probing, confirming that generation and understanding benefit from a shared, aligned latent space.

Precision Synthesis of Multi-Tracer PET via VLM-Modulated Rectified Flow for Stratifying Mild Cognitive Impairment

Shuijin Lin, Shaozhen Yan, Tuo Liu, Haifeng Wang, Chunfeng Lian, Jie Lu, Jianhua Ma, Lin Xie

The biological definition of Alzheimer's disease (AD) relies on multi-modal neuroimaging, yet the clinical utility of positron emission tomography (PET) is limited by cost and radiation exposure, hindering early screening at preclinical or prodromal stages. While generative models offer a promising alternative by synthesizing PET from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), achieving subject-specific precision remains a primary challenge. Here, we introduce DIReCT$++$, a Domain-Informed ReCTified flow model for synthesizing multi-tracer PET from MRI combined with fundamental clinical information. Our approach integrates a 3D rectified flow architecture to capture complex cross-modal and cross-tracer relationships with a domain-adapted vision-language model (BiomedCLIP) that provides text-guided, personalized generation using clinical scores and imaging knowledge. Extensive evaluations on multi-center datasets demonstrate that DIReCT$++$ not only produces synthetic PET images ($^{18}$F-AV-45 and $^{18}$F-FDG) of superior fidelity and generalizability but also accurately recapitulates disease-specific patterns. Crucially, combining these synthesized PET images with MRI enables precise personalized stratification of mild cognitive impairment (MCI), advancing a scalable, data-efficient tool for the early diagnosis and prognostic prediction of AD. The source code will be released on https://github.com/ladderlab-xjtu/DIReCT-PLUS.

Membership Inference Attacks on Recommender System: A Survey

Jiajie He, Xintong Chen, Xinyang Fang, Min-Chun Chen, Yuechun Gu, Wenjin Liu, Keke Chen

Recommender systems (RecSys) have been widely applied to various applications, including E-commerce, finance, healthcare, social media and have become increasingly influential in shaping user behavior and decision-making, highlighting their growing impact in various domains. However, recent studies have shown that RecSys are vulnerable to membership inference attacks (MIAs), which aim to infer whether user interaction record was used to train a target model or not. MIAs on RecSys models can directly lead to a privacy breach. For example, via identifying the fact that a purchase record that has been used to train a RecSys associated with a specific user, an attacker can infer that user's special quirks. In recent years, MIAs have been shown to be effective on other ML tasks, e.g., classification models and natural language processing. However, traditional MIAs are ill-suited for RecSys due to the unseen posterior probability. Although MIAs on RecSys form a newly emerging and rapidly growing research area, there has been no systematic survey on this topic yet. In this article, we conduct the first comprehensive survey on RecSys MIAs. This survey offers a comprehensive review of the latest advancements in RecSys MIAs, exploring the design principles, challenges, attack and defense associated with this emerging field. We provide a unified taxonomy that categorizes different RecSys MIAs based on their characterizations and discuss their pros and cons. Based on the limitations and gaps identified in this survey, we point out several promising future research directions to inspire the researchers who wish to follow this area. This survey not only serves as a reference for the research community but also provides a clear description for researchers outside this research domain.

VDE Bench: Evaluating The Capability of Image Editing Models to Modify Visual Documents

Hongzhu Yi, Yujia Yang, Yuanxiang Wang, Tong Li, Zhenyu Guan, Tianyu Zong, Jiahuan Chen, Chenxi Bao 等 21 位作者

Image editing models can modify visual content through natural language, but editing dense documents requires precise local changes amid tightly coupled text, tables, and layout. We introduce VDE Bench, an evaluation resource for studying instruction-guided editing of Chinese and English document images. VDE Bench contains 3,506 instruction-guided image editing samples, including 1,578 text-region edits and 1,928 table-region edits. The benchmark pairs editing instructions and reference images with annotated editing regions and structured OCR outputs. Its evaluation protocol combines region-level and full-page measurements to assess textual correctness, structural fidelity, and visual content preservation. By focusing on the interaction between local edits and their surrounding document context, VDE Bench complements existing visual text editing benchmarks and provides a resource for diagnosing document-specific editing failures.

Words or Deeds? How LLMs Predict Users' Decisions in Human-Agent Dialogue

Baiqiao Zhang, Shuai Ma, Zhifeng Liao, Chao Zhou, Jianshu Wang, Yuhan Zhao, Chaoyue Zhang, Tongjun Si 等 12 位作者

Web systems increasingly predict users' decisions from what users say, yet when interests partly conflict, users may promise to cooperate to win the other side's cooperation and then not do so. Sales or service agents that rely on such promises may grant concessions to users who then do not keep their promises, at a cost to the party they represent. We test how LLMs combine users' statements with decision records to predict users' decisions, using 1,260 rounds in which 42 users played a repeated prisoner's dilemma-style game with five agents, each prompted to express a dominant Big Five trait, and could talk with the agent before every decision. Across eight open-weight LLMs, predictions from decision records separated cooperation from defection well (AUC = .80), and adding dialogue brought no detectable gain. With dialogue, predictions agreed with users' statements more often, and errors concentrated on rounds in which users broke their statements: accuracy on rounds with a statement barely changed (.73 to .74), while it rose on kept statements (.76 to .95) and fell sharply on broken ones (.65 to .17). Predictions weighted statements more heavily than users' behavior warranted: when users stated a decision they had not yet made in that game, the predicted probability of keeping it rose from .13 to .69, whereas users kept .40 of such statements. Users' decisions also varied with the agent they faced, but predictions hardly reflected this: users cooperated more with the Agreeableness agent than with the Extraversion agent (70.6% vs. 54.5%), whereas predicted cooperation was nearly identical (64.5% vs. 63.1%). Users also cooperated more with an agent when they themselves scored higher on that agent's trait, whereas predicted cooperation barely changed with these scores. Dialogue-based predictions should therefore weigh users' statements by their earlier decisions and the agent they face.

How High Can GPT-6 Astra Climb in Contact-Rich Manipulation? PhysLadder: A Hierarchical, Matched Sim-Real Benchmark for Physical Interaction

Haibao Yu, Jiaqi Meng, Zijian Zhang, Bowen Jing, Lei Yang, Yue Hu, Chenchen Ge, Yiming Hou 等 19 位作者

We introduce PhysLadder, a hierarchical Sim-Real benchmark for evaluating physical interaction capabilities in contact-rich manipulation. Its 16 household tasks span three cumulative levels: contact selection and geometric alignment (L1), force regulation within sustained contact (L2), and coordinated contact reconfiguration and force regulation (L3). Each task is instantiated in physically and visually matched simulated and real-world environments, with shared task definitions and success criteria. We evaluate GPT-6 Astra zero-shot with three trials per task in each environment. Real-world success rates decline from 80.0% at L1 to 47.6% at L2 and 0.0% at L3, with corresponding simulation rates of 66.7%, 47.6%, and 0.0%. Ten of the 16 tasks have identical success counts across environments; the remaining six differ by one success out of three trials. Across both environments, recurring difficulties in spatial reasoning, contact selection, force regulation, and coordination often prevent local physical progress from accumulating into task completion. These findings characterize Astra's observed capability boundary across increasing interaction demands and, for this model, support matched simulation as a repeatable, scalable testbed for studying the sustained, coordinated physical interactions that limit reliable manipulation.

InsLogicBench: An Argumentation Logic Grounded Benchmark for Complex Insurance Claims Adjudication

Jin Liu, Yunpeng Liu, Keyi Wang, Jie Shi Fudan University, Xiao Xu, Wenkang Huang Ant Group, Xingzhong Xu Ant Group, Xin Liang Alibaba Group 等 9 位作者

Insurance claims adjudication demands not only accurate decisions but also interpretable reasoning grounded in policy clauses. However, existing benchmarks are limited to information retrieval or simple multiple-choice setups, which fail to require step-by-step inferences from facts to conclusions. To address this gap, we introduce InsLogicBench, a benchmark providing complete reasoning traces that link factual inputs, relevant policy clauses, and final verdicts. We construct the dataset using a controllable synthesis framework based on the Nested Toulmin Model. By capturing the defeasible logic of insurance policies through hierarchical truth assignment and enforcing validity via consistency verification, we ensure interpretability and logical rigor across generated examples. We evaluate eight Large Language Models (LLMs) on InsLogicBench. Results show significant difficulties in handling exception clauses and verifying missing conditions. Notably, models often produce correct final decisions but fail to provide precise justifications, highlighting a critical discrepancy between their decision accuracy and logical reasoning capabilities.

TPA: Next Token Probability Attribution for Detecting Hallucinations in RAG

Pengqian Lu, Jie Lu University of Technology Sydney, Anjin Liu Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Guangquan Zhang University of Technology Sydney (UTS)

Detecting hallucinations in Retrieval-Augmented Generation remains a challenge. Prior approaches attribute hallucinations to a binary conflict between internal knowledge stored in FFNs and the retrieved context. However, this perspective is incomplete, failing to account for the impact of other components of the LLM, such as the user query, previously generated tokens, the self token, and the final LayerNorm adjustment. To comprehensively capture the impact of these components on hallucination detection, we propose TPA which mathematically attributes each token’s probability to seven distinct sources: Query, RAG Context, Past Token, Self Token, FFN, Final LayerNorm, and Initial Embedding. This attribution quantifies how each source contributes to the generation of the next token. Specifically, we aggregate these attribution scores by Part-of-Speech (POS) tags to quantify the contribution of each model component to the generation of specific linguistic categories within a response. By leveraging these patterns, such as detecting anomalies where Nouns rely heavily on LayerNorm, TPA effectively identifies hallucinated responses. Extensive experiments show that TPA achieves state-of-the-art performance.

AgentGL: Towards Agentic Graph Learning with LLMs via Reinforcement Learning

Yuanfu Sun New York University, Kang Li, Dongzhe Fan, Jiajin Liu, Qiaoyu Tan New York University Shanghai

Large Language Models (LLMs) increasingly rely on agentic capabilities—iterative retrieval, tool use, and decision-making—to overcome the limits of static, parametric knowledge. Yet existing agentic frameworks treat external information as unstructured text and fail to leverage the topological dependencies inherent in real-world data. To bridge this gap, we introduce Agentic Graph Learning (AGL), a paradigm that reframes graph learning as an interleaved process of topology-aware navigation and LLM-based inference. Specifically, we propose AgentGL, the first reinforcement learning (RL)–driven framework for AGL. AgentGL equips an LLM agent with graph-native tools for multi-scale exploration, regulates tool usage via search-constrained thinking to balance accuracy and efficiency, and employs a graph-conditioned curriculum RL strategy to stabilize long-horizon policy learning without step-wise supervision. Across diverse Text-Attributed Graph (TAG) benchmarks and multiple LLM backbones, AgentGL substantially outperforms strong GraphLLMs and GraphRAG baselines, achieving absolute improvements of up to 17.5% in node classification and 28.4% in link prediction. These results demonstrate that AGL is a promising frontier for enabling LLMs to autonomously navigate and reason over complex relational environments. The code is publicly available at https://github.com/sunyuanfu/AgentGL.

Decoding Scientific Experimental Images: The SPUR Benchmark for Perception, Understanding, and Reasoning

Junpeng Ding, Zichen Tang Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Haihong E Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication, Mengyuan Ji, Yang Liu, Haolin Tian, Haiyang Sun, Pengqi Sun 等 20 位作者

We introduce SPUR, a comprehensive benchmark for scientific experimental image perception, understanding, and reasoning, comprising 4,264 question-answering (QA) pairs derived from 1,084 expert-curated images. SPUR features three key innovations: (1) Panel-Level Fine-Grained Perception: evaluating the visual perception of multimodal large language models (MLLMs) across three dimensions (numerical, morphological, and information localization) on six fine-grained panel types; (2) Cross-Panel Relation Understanding: utilizing complex images with an average of 14.3 panels per sample to evaluate MLLMs’ ability to decipher intricate cross-panel relations; (3) Expert-Level Reasoning: assessment of qualitative and quantitative reasoning across five experimental paradigms to determine if models can infer conclusions from evidence as human experts do. Comprehensive evaluation of 20 MLLMs and four multimodal Chain-of-Thought (MCoT) methods reveals that current models fall significantly short of the expert-level requirements for scientific image interpretation, underscoring a critical bottleneck in AI for Science (AI4S) research.

SED-SFT: Selectively Encouraging Diversity in Supervised Fine-Tuning

Yijie Chen Tencent, Yijin Liu Wechat AI, Fandong Meng WeChat AI, Tencent Inc.

Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) followed by Reinforcement Learning (RL) has emerged as the standard post-training paradigm for large language models (LLMs). However, the conventional SFT process, driven by Cross-Entropy (CE) loss, often induces mode collapse, where models over-concentrate on specific response patterns. This lack of distributional diversity severely restricts the exploration efficiency required for subsequent RL. While recent studies have attempted to improve SFT by replacing CE loss, aiming to preserve diversity or refine the update policy, they fail to adequately balance diversity and accuracy, thereby achieving sub-optimal performance after RL. To address the mode collapse problem, we propose SED-SFT, which adaptively encourages diversity based on the token exploration space. This framework introduces a selective entropy regularization term with a selective masking mechanism into the optimization objective. Extensive experiments across eight mathematical benchmarks demonstrate that SED-SFT significantly enhances generation diversity with a negligible computational overhead increase compared with CE loss, yielding average improvements of 2.06 and 1.20 points in subsequent RL performance over standard CE-based baselines on Llama-3.2-3B-Instruct and Qwen2.5-Math-7B-Instruct, respectively.
