Identity-Consistent Multi-Pose Generation of Contactless Fingerprints

Zhiyu Pan, Zhaoliang Xu, Xiongjun Guan, Jianjiang Feng, Jie Zhou

Contactless fingerprint recognition has gained increasing attention due to its advantages in hygiene and acquisition flexibility. However, the absence of physical contact constraints introduces severe nonlinear geometric distortions caused by free finger poses in 3D space, resulting in a substantial cross-modal domain gap between contactless and conventional contact-based fingerprints. Existing solutions largely rely on explicit geometric correction or image enhancement, which are fragile under extreme pose variations. In this paper, we propose Identity-Consistent Multi-Pose Generation of Contactless Fingerprints (IMPOSE), a physics-inspired framework that synthesizes identity-preserving, multi-pose contactless fingerprint samples to empower recognition models. IMPOSE consists of three stages: (1) rolled fingerprint identity generation via latent diffusion with discrete codebook representations, (2) cross-modal translation from rolled to contactless modality guided by Sauvola-based local adaptive binarization as an identity anchor, and (3) physics-based multi-pose simulation through 3D finger model texture mapping and projection. The generated samples maintain strict identity consistency at the ridge topology level and spatial alignment with standard fingerprint coordinate space. Extensive experiments on the UWA and PolyU CL2CB databases demonstrate that fine-tuning fixed-length dense descriptors (FDD) with IMPOSE-synthesized data achieves state-of-the-art cross-modal matching, reducing EER to 8.74% on UWA and 2.26% on PolyU CL2CB. Synthetic data also yields consistent gains across mainstream representations including DeepPrint and AFRNet, and the hybrid strategy combining synthetic and real data achieves the best overall results. The code and generated samples are available at https://github.com/Yu-Yy/IMPOSE.

ReWorld: Multi-Dimensional Reward Modeling for Embodied Video Generation

Baorui Peng, Wenyao Zhang, Liang Xu, Bohan Li, Hu Zhu, Zekun Qi, Hongsi Liu, Jiazhao Zhang 等 10 位作者

Current embodied video generation models primarily emphasize visual generative quality while overlooking physical fidelity, dynamic consistency, and task logic, especially for contact-rich manipulation tasks, which limits their applicability to downstream tasks. In this paper, we introduce ReWorld, a framework aimed to employ reinforcement learning to align the video generation with physical realism, task completion capability, embodiment plausibility and visual quality. Specifically, we first construct a large-scale (~235K) video preference dataset and employ it to train a hierarchical reward model designed to capture multi-dimensional reward consistent with human preferences. We further propose a practical alignment algorithm that post-trains flow-based video generators using this reward through a computationally efficient PPO-style algorithm. Comprehensive experiments and theoretical analysis demonstrate that ReWorld significantly improves the physical fidelity, logical coherence, embodiment and visual quality of generated rollouts, outperforming previous methods.

We introduce Nemotron 3.5 Super and Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, open and efficient Mixture-of-Experts Hybrid Mamba-Transformer models designed for reasoning, long-context understanding, and agentic workloads. Super is a 120B-parameter, 12B-active multimodal model, while Lightning is a smaller 30B-parameter, 3B-active text model; both designed for efficient deployment. Both models combine large-scale distillation, long-context training, and native speculative decoding, while Super further incorporates Indic continued pretraining and agentic software-engineering mid-training. We develop a comprehensive post-training pipeline spanning supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning (RLVR and RLHF), complemented in Super by specialized teacher training and multi- teacher on-policy distillation (MOPD). This transforms Super from a text-only base model into a multimodal agent capable of reasoning over text, images, video, and interactive tool environments. We further explore test-time scaling through parallel agent execution and self-verification. Across training and deployment, we jointly optimize capability and efficiency. Indic continued pretraining improves Indian-language benchmarks by up to 9.82 percentage points, while agentic mid-training strengthens software-engineering capabilities and robustness across agent harnesses. The post-trained Super model achieves 51.78% on SWE-bench Pro, surpassing Nemotron 3 Ultra despite using approximately 4.6x fewer active parameters. Post-training MTP boosting improves speculative- decoding acceptance length by up to 21.8% under probabilistic draft sampling, while NVFP4 quantization achieves 99.62% median accuracy recovery relative to BF16. Inference optimizations enable up to 4,856 output tokens/s/GPU on GB200 while sustaining at least 50 tokens/s/user.

SEMA-Auto: Sighted and Efficient Multi-Turn Attack with Autonomy

Mingqian Feng, Xiaodong Liu, Weiwei Yang, Chenliang Xu, Jialin Song, Qiyao Ma, Chengquan Guo, Carolyn Buractaon 等 11 位作者

Existing jailbreak attackers fall into two classes: static planners fix their single- or multi-turn adversarial plans in advance, remaining simple but losing sight of the victim's replies, wasting turns and limiting transferability; interactive generators read each victim reply to generate the next-turn attack but require in-loop evaluators for success signals or hints, incurring substantial costs and inflated performance. Bridging this gap, we propose SEMA-Auto, a sighted and efficient multi-turn attacker with autonomy, interacting with the victim model and terminating the session by itself upon success. To stabilize its behaviors and boost its capabilities, SEMA-Auto is trained in two stages. Synthetic bootstrap tuning installs the notion of attack targets and conforming decisions by fine-tuning the base model with bootstrapped trajectories. Decision-supervised reinforcement learning then optimizes two objectives jointly yet separately, reinforcing the attack with higher jailbreak reward while supervising the decision at each turn against an absolute target. Our method achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) attack success rates (ASR) across multiple datasets, victims, and judges, outperforming all static and interactive baselines, within almost the fewest turns, demonstrating both effectiveness and efficiency. For example, SEMA-Auto performs a $76.0\%$ ASR@1 within an average of $3.0$ turns against DeepSeek-V4-Flash on AdvBench, while the best static baseline is $54.8\%$ with fixed $7$ turns and the best interactive baseline is $43.8\%$ in $3.7$ turns. Against safety-hardened frontier models, GPT-oss-120B, GPT-5.4, Claude-Haiku-4.5, and GPT-6-Astra, our counter-trained attacker achieves an average $59.6\%$ ASR@1 on HarmBench, $13.8\%$ over prior SOTA. Two-sample comparison through additive tree models for density ratios

Naoki Awaya, Yuliang Xu, Li Ma

The ratio of two densities provides a direct characterization of their differences. We consider the two-sample comparison problem by estimating this ratio given i.i.d. observations from two distributions. To this end, we propose additive tree models for density ratio estimation along with efficient algorithms using a new loss function, the balancing loss. The loss allows tree-based models to be trained using several algorithms originally designed for supervised learning, such as forward-stagewise optimization and gradient boosting. Moreover, the balancing loss resembles an exponential family kernel, and it can serve as a pseudo-likelihood with conjugate priors. This property enables generalized Bayesian inference on the density ratio using backfitting samplers designed for Bayesian additive regression trees (BART). Our Bayesian strategy provides uncertainty quantification for the inferred density ratio, which is critical for applications involving high-dimensional and data-limited distributions with potentially substantial uncertainty. We further show connections of the balancing loss to the exponential loss in binary classification and to the variational form of f-divergence, particularly the squared Hellinger distance. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed boosting algorithms achieve high accuracy at low computational cost, and that the Bayesian additive tree is competitive in accuracy while additionally providing uncertainty quantification, which the compared estimators do not offer. Finally, we demonstrate its application to assessing the quality of generative models for microbiome compositional data.

When Connectivity Misleads: Guiding Agentic Search with Contrastive Evidence Paths

Junchen Li, Liang Xu, Rongzheng Wang, Qizhi Chen, Junhao Wen, Shuang Liang

Search agents can use cross-document graphs to discover sources through multi-hop connections and choose subsequent actions based on candidate rankings and relationships within a limited observation window. However, documents may rank highly because their numerous connections make them easier to reach, without necessarily providing more valuable evidence. Graph diffusion methods such as Personalized PageRank (PPR) aggregate propagation contributions from multiple sources, allowing highly connected distractor nodes to crowd the observation window. Flat node scores also obscure cross-document evidence trails, limiting continued exploration. We propose Contrastive Evidence Paths (CEP), which scores candidates by their strongest individual paths on a query-conditioned document graph and calibrates these scores against the same graph's background visitation distribution to mitigate structural bias. CEP ranks candidates by the calibrated scores and retains the corresponding source paths. Building on CEP, we develop Structured Corpus Interaction (SCI), which organizes candidates and their connecting paths into a structured Map, enabling agents to verify source documents and pursue missing information through expansion from anchor documents. Experiments on BrowseComp-Plus and TREC-COVID show that SCI achieves state-of-the-art answer accuracy and nDCG@10 with the lowest generation cost. Compared with the strongest baselines by task performance, maximum reductions in tool calls and total generation costs exceed 50% and 40%, respectively. Further analysis confirms that SCI with CEP suppresses ranking inflation induced by structural connections and improves gold recall and exploration efficiency.

OpenAgenet / OAN Yellow Paper: Technical Architecture for Trust-Governed Resource Identity and Discovery

Jinliang Xu

This yellow paper specifies the technical architecture and verification semantics of OpenAgenet (OAN), a protocol-neutral trust layer for heterogeneous Agent resources. The design combines did:oan decentralized identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials (VCs), on-chain infrastructure governance, and Root-verified resource packages. It defines the objects and lifecycle transitions that connect subject-control verification, Registrar admission, Root acceptance, authorized Discovery, and signed invocation. Infrastructure authorization requires both active governance state and a valid Root-issued credential; resource discovery additionally requires package integrity, current-version state, and authorized-domain coverage. Local OAN Identity signing material remains separate from public protocol objects. Integration profiles carry resource identity into the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol through Skill, Runtime, Sidecar, and Gateway interfaces without redefining native task semantics. The paper distinguishes protocol requirements from implementation choices and sets out security properties, persistence and recovery expectations, and conformance criteria. Together, these rules provide a technical basis for independently implemented registration, discovery, and identity-protected interaction within an OAN trust domain.

OpenAgenet / OAN White Paper: Open Infrastructure for Trusted Agent Interconnection

Jinliang Xu

OpenAgenet (OAN) is an open infrastructure project for trusted Agent interconnection across independently operated networks. It addresses the verification of resource identity, governance state, discovery authorization, and freshness before interaction. OAN combines decentralized identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials (VCs), and on-chain infrastructure governance with a routing-aware did:oan registration and discovery model. Registrars verify onboarding evidence; the Root service accepts resource identity versions and publishes verifiable packages; authorized Discovery nodes return signed results within their governed scope. Root also governs the semantic tag tree shared by registration and discovery. Public DID Documents and credentials remain separate from local OAN Identity signing material and from controller authorization. Skill, Runtime, Sidecar, and Gateway integration paths allow existing Agents to adopt this identity model progressively, including through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol, while retaining their native task and workflow semantics. Prototype evaluation and a public pilot support examination of the trust lifecycle and its operational bottlenecks. This white paper presents the architecture, governance model, ecosystem adoption paths, and standardization opportunities for OAN as a shared identity and trust infrastructure for heterogeneous Agent resources.

MinerU2.5: A Decoupled Vision-Language Model for Efficient High-Resolution Document Parsing

Junbo Niu, Zheng Liu, Zhuangcheng Gu, Bin Wang, Linke Ouyang, Zhiyuan Zhao, Tao Chu, Tianyao He 等 59 位作者

We introduce MinerU2.5, a 1.2B-parameter document parsing vision-language model that achieves state-of-the-art recognition accuracy while maintaining exceptional computational efficiency. Our approach employs a coarse-to-fine, two-stage parsing strategy that decouples global layout analysis from local content recognition. In the first stage, the model performs efficient layout analysis on downsampled images to identify structural elements, circumventing the computational overhead of processing high-resolution inputs. In the second stage, guided by the global layout, it performs targeted content recognition on native-resolution crops extracted from the original image, preserving fine-grained details in dense text, complex formulas, and tables. To support this strategy, we developed a comprehensive data engine that generates diverse, large-scale training corpora for both pretraining and fine-tuning. Ultimately, MinerU2.5 demonstrates strong document parsing ability, achieving state-of-the-art performance on multiple benchmarks, surpassing both general-purpose and domain-specific models across various recognition tasks, while maintaining significantly lower computational overhead.
