Native multimodal large language models (native MLLMs) jointly encode visual and linguistic sequences within a unified autoregressive Transformer, emerging as a promising paradigm for multimodal understanding. Unlike conventional ViT-based MLLMs relying on external vision encoders, ViT-free native MLLMs tokenize pixel patches directly, potentially suffering severe visual token redundancy. A pilot study confirms this: unlike ViT-based models that degrade under compression, ViT-free MLLMs tolerate aggressive compression with near-lossless or even improved performance. Yet existing compression methods target ViT-based settings, leaving native MLLMs, which stand to gain the most, unexplored. To close this gap, we introduce an analysis pipeline centered on token discriminability and cross-dimensional heterogeneous redundancy, revealing that (i) redundancy is distributed independently and heterogeneously along height and width axes, and (ii) early-layer visual tokens are indiscriminable and uniformly redundant. Guided by these findings, we propose PACE (Pareto-Adaptive Compression for Efficient Native MLLMs), the first visual token compression framework tailored for native MLLMs with Multimodal-RoPE. Leveraging dimensional decoupling of positional encoding, PACE decomposes attention into two orthogonal spatial saliency estimates along height and width, gated by a positional attention signal, yielding direction-aware importance with negligible overhead. It further casts token budget allocation as Pareto optimization over performance preservation, inference efficiency, and spatial coverage, jointly identifying optimal compression depths and retention ratios. Experiments show PACE maintains near-lossless performance at only 25%-50% visual token retention, even improving several benchmarks, while delivering over 2x FLOPs reduction.

Large language models hold promise for delivering safe, scientifically grounded, and personalized exercise guidance at scale, yet the sports-and-health domain still lacks curated training corpora and rigorous evaluation benchmarks. Keepace.ai is a domain-specialized LLM built on Qwen3.5-27B through post-training, currently optimized for Chinese-language exercise guidance across three tasks: workout plan generation, sports-and-health knowledge QA, and personal sports data analysis. In internal rubric-based evaluations designed with domain experts, Keepace.ai outperforms its base model and larger general-purpose baselines, with the most pronounced improvements in exercise safety, boundary compliance, structured output completeness, and scientific accuracy. This report summarizes the current design, data pipeline, safety-first evaluation framework, and evaluation results of Keepace.ai.
Lifelong learning aims to preserve knowledge acquired from previous tasks while incorporating knowledge from a sequence of new tasks. However, most prior work explores only streams of homogeneous tasks (*e.g.*, only classification tasks) and neglects the scenario of learning across heterogeneous tasks that possess different structures of outputs. In this work, we formalize this broader setting as lifelong heterogeneous learning (LHL).Departing from conventional lifelong learning, the task sequence of LHL spans different task types, and the learner needs to retain heterogeneous knowledge for different output space structures. To instantiate the LHL, we focus on LHL in the context of dense prediction (LHL4DP), a realistic and challenging scenario. To this end, we propose the Heterogeneity-Aware Distillation (HAD) method, an exemplar-free approach that preserves previously gained heterogeneous knowledge by self-distillation in each training phase. The proposed HAD comprises two complementary components, including a distribution-balanced heterogeneity-aware distillation loss to alleviate the global imbalance of prediction distribution and a salience-guided heterogeneity-aware distillation loss that concentrates learning on informative edge pixels extracted with the Sobel operator.Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed HAD method significantly outperforms existing methods in this new scenario.
