ReferStream: Interactive Subject Injection for Streaming Video Generation

Shuolin Xu, Guanyuan Li, Boyu Li, Kelu Yao, Xiaogang Xu, Hongchuan Yu, Shuicheng Yan, Xiaobin Hu

Injecting new subjects naturally during streaming video generation requires integrating newly supplied visual references into the existing video while preserving established subjects and the scene. Encoding references independently of the current scene provides little guidance for this integration, while keeping their features in persistent memory can interfere with established context. We propose ReferStream, a framework that requires no additional training and combines reference construction using the current scene with transient cache injection. Joint Latent places reference latents in target regions of the latest scene latent, allowing reference features to be extracted in context. Cache Restoration uses these features to condition the injection chunk, then restores the overwritten global cache entries while retaining the newly generated history. This procedure incorporates new visual conditions without retraining the generator or revising emitted frames. We further introduce ReferStream Bench, a new benchmark with scheduled reference arrivals, evolving instructions, and explicit annotations of subject presence for InShot and MultiShot generation. Evaluation follows the event schedule and measures both the fidelity of new subjects and the preservation of established subjects, alongside video quality, text adherence, and count accuracy. Experiments on ReferStream Bench show higher scores for text adherence, subject similarity, and count accuracy than the compared baselines, including offline methods given all references in advance. Rollback: Experience Backtracking in World Models for Policy Improvement

Jiayi Luo, Yang Zhang, Liliang Chen, Nan Wang, Chen Gao, Boxiang Qiu, Zhuoxuan Li, Baorui Peng 等 16 位作者

Action-conditioned world models offer a scalable alternative to costly real-world interaction for improving robot policies. However, existing world-model-based methods largely treat world models as forward-only surrogates of the physical environment, leaving untapped a capability no physical environment affords: rewinding to past decision points to explore counterfactual futures. We introduce Rollback, a policy improvement paradigm that turns world models from passive simulators into counterfactual engines: it rolls back to critical decision points, branches into alternative actions, and contrasts their outcomes to attribute success to individual decisions. This concentrates imagination where it matters most and distills counterfactual outcomes into fine-grained, action-level supervision without a separately learned value model. We build a scalable training system that unifies distributed world-model search with asynchronous real-robot execution, forming a self-reinforcing cycle: real-world experience continually sharpens the world model, and a sharper world model in turn drives further policy improvement. We term the world-model side of this cycle test-time physics grounding, a capability that hand-built physics simulators lack: while the world model serves as the training environment, real transitions from the policy it trains correct its dynamics through a lightweight LoRA pipeline. Experiments on three challenging real-world tasks show that Rollback improves success rates over the strongest baseline by an absolute 10.67%, 11.11%, and 11.85% on block extraction, ball tossing, and tabletop curling, respectively, while achieving more stable improvement throughout training. Although initialized from teleoperated demonstrations far below human level, Rollback surpasses the average success rate of human players on both ball tossing and tabletop curling within 8 hours of training.

EvoRoute: Experience-Driven Self-Routing LLM Agent Systems

Complex agentic AI systems, powered by a coordinated ensemble of Large Language Models (LLMs), tool and memory modules, have demonstrated remarkable capabilities on intricate, multi-turn tasks. However, this success is shadowed by prohibitive economic costs and severe latency, exposing a critical, yet underexplored, trade-off. We formalize this challenge as the Agent System Trilemma: the inherent tension among achieving state-of-the-art performance, minimizing monetary cost, and ensuring rapid task completion. To dismantle this trilemma, we introduce EvoRoute, a self-evolving model routing paradigm that transcends static, pre-defined model assignments. Leveraging an ever-expanding knowledge base of prior experience, EvoRoute dynamically selects Pareto-optimal LLM backbones at each step, balancing accuracy, efficiency, and resource use, while continually refining its own selection policy through environment feedback. Experiments on challenging agentic benchmarks such as GAIA and BrowseComp+ demonstrate that EvoRoute, when integrated into off-the-shelf agentic systems, not only sustains or enhances system performance but also reduces execution cost by up to 80% and latency by over 70%.

Deep-Reporter: Deep Research for Grounded Multimodal Long-Form Generation

Recent agentic search frameworks enable deep research via iterative planning and retrieval, reducing hallucinations and enhancing factual grounding. However, they remain text-centric, overlooking the multimodal evidence that characterizes real-world expert reports. We introduce a pressing task: multimodal long-form generation. Accordingly, we propose Deep-Reporter, a unified agentic framework for grounded multimodal long-form generation. It orchestrates: (i) Agentic Multimodal Search and Filtering to retrieve and filter textual passages and information-dense visuals; (ii) Checklist-Guided Incremental Synthesis to ensure coherent image-text integration and optimal citation placement; and (iii) Recurrent Context Management to balance long-range coherence with local fluency. We develop a rigorous curation pipeline producing 8K high-quality agentic traces for model optimization. We further introduce M^2LongBench, a comprehensive testbed comprising 247 research tasks across 9 domains and a stable multimodal sandbox. It enables unified multimodal assessment, fair comparison, and accessible evaluation without commercial APIs. Extensive experiments demonstrate that long-form multimodal generation is a challenging task, especially in multimodal selection and integration, and effective post-training can bridge the gap.
