原文摘要
In this paper, we present SOCIA-$\nabla$, a diagnosis-driven multi-agent framework for automated simulator-code construction. SOCIA-$\nabla$ iteratively refines executable simulator code within a textual computation graph, where LLM-driven agents synthesize, execute, evaluate, diagnose, and repair simulators. A grounded simulator blueprint attributes behavioral residuals to candidate mechanisms and their spatial or interaction contexts, which are then converted into localized textual repair signals with history-aware memory and constraint projection. We evaluate SOCIA-$\nabla$ on the real-world LLMob personal-mobility benchmark and a controlled semi-synthetic geo-social mask-adoption benchmark. Across in-distribution simulation, out-of-distribution what-if generation, and geo-social diffusion, SOCIA-$\nabla$ achieves the strongest overall simulator fidelity. SOCIA-$\nabla$'s code and data are publicly available at https://github.com/cruiseresearchgroup/SOCIA-Nabla.

原文摘要
Automated simulator construction requires distributional fidelity, distinguishing it from generic code generation. We identify two failure modes in long-horizon LLM agents: contextual drift and optimization instability arising from conflating structural and parametric errors. We propose SOCIA-EVO, a dual-anchored evolutionary framework. SOCIA-EVO introduces: (1) a static blueprint to enforce empirical constraints; (2) a bi-level optimization to decouple structural refinement from parameter calibration; and (3) a self-curating Strategy Playbook that manages remedial hypotheses via Bayesian-weighted retrieval. By falsifying ineffective strategies through execution feedback, SOCIA-EVO achieves robust convergence, generating simulators that are statistically consistent with observational data. SOCIA-EVO’s code and data are available here: https://github.com/cruiseresearchgroup/SOCIA/tree/evo.
