PhysOmni: Physics-Grounded Multi-Object Scene Generation from a Single Image with Real-Time Interaction

原文摘要

Recent generative video models achieve impressive visual quality but remain constrained by limited physical consistency and controllability. Existing video generation methods provide minimal physical control, and single-image-to-3D conversion approaches often suffer from object interpenetration. Furthermore, physics-based scene-level 3D generation methods exhibit spatial misalignment, stylized artifacts, and inconsistencies with the input data, restricting their use in realistic interactive video synthesis. We propose PhysOmni, a training-free framework that converts a single image into a physically consistent and controllable video through holistic scene-level 3D reconstruction. By rep?resenting the full scene geometry in a unified spatial coordinate system, PhysOmni resolves object penetration and alignment ambiguity. Unlike prior methods, this formulation enables accurate scene?level multi-object interactions and introduces richer, complex control types for advanced mechanics?based manipulation. By decoupling simulation from rendering, PhysOmni bypasses latency-heavy priors, achieving real-time physical interaction previews paired while preserving photorealistic visual fidelity. Experimental results demonstrate that PhysOmni substantially outperforms prior methods in physical fidelity, spatial coherence, and controllability. RSI-Env: An Open-Ended Environment for Recursive Self-Improvement of Agents

原文摘要

Recursive self-improvement (RSI) envisions agent systems that autonomously improve their own models and harnesses, with each updated system continuing to improve itself. Existing approaches typically restrict optimization objectives, editable components, or evaluation procedures, limiting open-ended exploration and continuity across generations. We introduce RSI-Env, a persistent environment for coordinated model-harness improvement, supporting autonomous training, harness modification, and retention of research state. An independent Host Controller manages services, evaluation, and versioning. Under Self, each accepted model-harness version takes over the next improvement round. We define three settings that vary goal specificity and access to benchmark feedback: Open-General, Capability-Directed, and Benchmark-Guided. Across these three settings, we compare Self with two fixed external Teachers on seven tasks, starting from Qwen3.8-27B with a minimal harness. Without benchmark feedback, Open-General Self raises GPQA Diamond accuracy from 65.2% to 73.2% and AIME 2026 accuracy from 53.3% to 56.7%. All three Capability-Directed Self runs achieve target-aligned gains. Knowledge Self demonstrates continued improvement across system updates, with SimpleQA accuracy rising from 82.0% to 85.0% and then 88.0%. Benchmark guidance and Teacher benefits vary by task. These results demonstrate RSI-Env's support for open-ended exploration and sustained recursive improvement within the studied runs, while highlighting challenges in preserving gains across capabilities.

原文摘要

Medical Image Quality Assessment (IQA) serves as a critical safety gate for clinical AI, yet existing approaches rely on scalar metrics that fail to capture the descriptive, expert-like evaluation process central to clinical practice. We introduce MedQ-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark for language-based medical IQA evaluation with MLLMs, establishing a perception--description paradigm across 5 imaging modalities and over 40 quality attributes. The benchmark comprises two complementary tasks: MedQ-Perception probes low-level visual attribute discrimination via 2,600 expert-annotated perceptual queries; MedQ-Description covers both no-reference and comparison description sub-tasks with 708 expert-annotated samples, evaluated through a four-dimensional judging protocol. Comprehensive evaluation of 23 state-of-the-art MLLMs reveals that current models exhibit only preliminary and unstable capabilities, and highlights the urgent need for targeted optimization of MLLMs in medical IQA.
