UGR: Unified Generative Ranking for Heterogeneous E-commerce Recommendation

Zonghe Shao, Huabin Chen, Sitong Lu, Fangmei Zhu, Yingcai Ma, Ge Fan, Jinguo Gao, Wei Shi 等 10 位作者

List-wise ranking in e-commerce recommendation must balance user utility and commercial value across organic content, ads, and candidates from other businesses, while modeling candidate interactions and sequential dependencies. Existing generative ranking methods typically learn from logged exposure sequences and operate on truncated candidate sets from a single business. Exposure-sequence learning may not fully exploit post-exposure feedback signals. Meanwhile, generative ranking over heterogeneous, multi-business candidates remains less explored, particularly when recommendation scores and advertising value must be jointly modeled under generalized second-price (GSP) auctions. We propose Unified Generative Ranking (UGR), which performs generative ranking over the full request-level multi-business heterogeneous candidate set, typically comprising around a thousand candidates in production, and directly generates multi-business ranking lists through candidate-aware autoregressive decoding. To go beyond exposure-sequence imitation, UGR introduces complementary feedback supervision through weighted supervised fine-tuning and permutation preference optimization, which respectively leverage observed post-exposure feedback and feedback-derived preferences among permutations. UGR uses a training-time advertising debiasing tower to model historical ad exposure effects and incorporates current ad value during serving while preserving the existing allocation and GSP pricing rules. Multi-value sequence retrieval produces candidate ranking lists, and the existing downstream evaluator selects the final list for exposure. Offline experiments demonstrate consistent gains in ranking quality, while online A/B tests on Taobao's Guess You Like recommendation service yield improvements of 1.76% in Core IPV, 3.29% in Transaction Volume, and 2.10% in GMV over the production baseline.

LEVIRDet: A Million-Scale 159-Category Dataset and Foundation Model for Universal Remote Sensing Object Detection

Qinzhe Yang, Dongyu Wang, Haohan Niu, Jia Xu, Zhenwei Shi, Zhengxia Zou

Remote sensing object detection has advanced rapidly with the development of large-scale benchmarks and modern detection architectures. However, existing datasets and detectors remain fragmented. Most benchmarks focus on limited categories, fixed spatial resolutions, or a single sensor, while detectors still struggle to work across different sensors and categorical systems. In this paper, we introduce LEVIRDet-159, the largest and most comprehensive remote sensing object detection dataset to date, with 159 categories, 2.56 million bounding boxes, and 700k fine-grained annotations under a multi-level taxonomy. In each key scale dimension, LEVIRDet-159 exceeds the corresponding largest existing remote sensing object detection dataset, containing approximately (7x) more images, (6x) more object instances, and (4x) more categories. Based on this dataset, we design LEVIRDetNet, a scale-hierarchy-aware detection foundation model for universal remote sensing object detection. LEVIRDetNet couples online visual Ground Sampling Distance (GSD) prediction, GSD-conditioned query modulation and allocation, and a hierarchy-aware detection head for mixed-granularity remote sensing supervision. Under stringent evaluation settings, LEVIRDetNet demonstrates strong cross-domain generalization. Even without target-domain training or fine-tuning, it achieves state-of-the-art detection performance on 9 external benchmarks, improving the strongest fully supervised competing methods by 5.02 mAP on average under each benchmark's primary metric. We hope this study will facilitate the development of strongly generalizable remote sensing object detection across diverse category systems, spatial resolutions, and sensor platforms. The full image tiles, annotations, source-license manifest, code, and trained models have been released in a versioned project repository at https://qinzheyang.github.io/LEVIRDet/.

Labference: Benchmarking the Reasoning-Action Connection in Robotic Laboratories

Shitong Liu, Jingwei Zhang, Sheng Lian, Xinyu Zhuang, Kaiwen Guo, Quan Liu, Chunhai Zhao, Jiaxin He 等 20 位作者

Realizing Embodied AI for Science requires robots to translate experimental goals into reliable physical procedures, reducing hazardous and repetitive human work while generating evidence for scientific discovery. Although language-based planning and learned manipulation provide complementary capabilities, their integration requires robots to adapt subsequent operations to actual execution outcomes. For example, an unsuccessful placement changes what must be done next, even when the experimental goal remains unchanged. Existing benchmarks assess planning, manipulation, and laboratory workflows through task completion and reasoning or execution metrics; however, aggregate performance leaves the connection between outcome-dependent choices and physical execution unresolved. To address this evaluation gap, we introduce Labference, a benchmark for evaluating how observed physical outcomes guide subsequent choices and how those choices translate into robotic laboratory actions. Its evaluation protocol is designed to test outcome-dependent behavioral adaptation through controlled evidence variations, while independently measuring operation selection, physical execution, and task completion. Matched Oracle-assisted continuations from shared checkpoints then assess which forms of support improve subsequent choices and task completion. Initial weighing evaluations reveal target-selection errors in the tested VLA policies despite successful object transfers, whereas GPT-driven control achieves correct selection but encounters execution failures and substantial computation costs. Together, these findings highlight the need to connect task-appropriate reasoning with reliable, timely action. By making this connection measurable and diagnosable, Labference supports targeted improvements toward autonomous experimentation for Embodied AI for Science.

Counteracting the Matthew Effect in Self-Improvement of LVLMs through Head-Tail Re-balancing

Xin Guo, Zhiheng Xi, Yiwen Ding, Yitao Zhai Meituan, Xiaowei Shi, Xunliang Cai Meituan, Tao Gui Fudan University, Qi Zhang Fudan University 等 9 位作者

Self-improvement has emerged as a mainstream paradigm for advancing the reasoning capabilities of large vision–language models (LVLMs), where models explore and learn from successful trajectories iteratively. However, we identify a critical imbalance during this process: the model readily generates high-quality trajectories for simple queries (i.e., head data) but struggles with complex ones (i.e., tail data). This bias drives the optimization to disproportionately prioritize simple reasoning skills, while inhibiting the acquisition of complex capabilities. As iterations progress, this imbalance becomes more acute—a dynamic we term the “Matthew effect”, ultimately stalling performance gains. To mitigate this, we approach head-tail re-balance during the exploration-and-learning process from two perspectives: distribution-reshaping and trajectory-resampling. Extensive experiments on Qwen2-VL-7B-Instruct and InternVL2.5-4B models across visual reasoning tasks demonstrate that our methods consistently improve visual reasoning capabilities, outperforming vanilla self-improvement baselines by an average of 3.86 points.

CodeHacker: Automated Test Case Generation for Detecting Vulnerabilities in Competitive Programming Solutions

Jingwei Shi, Xinxiang Yin Northwest Polytechnical University Xi'an, Jing Huang, Shengyu Tao, Jinman Zhao

The evaluation of Large Language Models (LLMs) for code generation relies heavily on the quality and robustness of test cases. However, existing benchmarks often lack coverage for subtle corner cases, allowing incorrect solutions to pass. To bridge this gap, we propose CodeHacker, an automated agent framework dedicated to generating targeted adversarial test cases that expose latent vulnerabilities in program submissions. Mimicking the hack mechanism in competitive programming, CodeHacker employs a multi-strategy approach—including stress testing, anti-hash attacks, and logic-specific targeting to break specific code submissions. To ensure the validity and reliability of these attacks, we introduce a Calibration Phase, where the agent iteratively refines its own Validator and Checker via self-generated adversarial probes before evaluating contestant code. Experiments demonstrate that CodeHacker significantly improves the True Negative Rate (TNR) of existing datasets, effectively filtering out incorrect solutions that were previously accepted. Furthermore, generated adversarial cases prove to be superior training data, boosting the performance of RL-trained models on benchmarks like LiveCodeBench. All code, datasets, and evaluation scripts will be open-sourced to promote further investigation in LLMs for competitive programming.

LCMA-SRT: Language-Conditional Mixture-of-Experts Adapters for Joint Multilingual Speech Recognition and Translation

Nanjie Li, Xiaoyong Guo, Hao Huang, Xu Haihua Timekettle technology, Wei Shi Timekettle

Neural transducers offer an alignment-free framework for speech-to-text modeling, and hierarchical transducer architectures further improve multilingual joint automatic speech recognition (ASR) and speech translation (ST) by stacking a translation-focused encoder on top of an ASR encoder. However, extending hierarchical transducers to multilingual many-to-many settings remains challenging: fully shared models often suffer from negative transfer and unstable target-language generation, while training separate models for each direction is computationally prohibitive. We propose LCMA-SRT (Language-Conditional Mixture-of-Experts Adapters for Speech Recognition and Translation), which augments a hierarchical transducer with language-conditional Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) adapters. A source-conditioned MoE adapter (SRC-MoE) uses source-language embeddings to reduce cross-language interference and improve multilingual ASR. A target-conditioned MoE adapter (TGT-MoE) uses the desired target language to reduce cross-target interference and stabilize target-language generation in many-to-many ST. Experiments on Europarl-ST (9 languages, 72 directions) show that LCMA-SRT improves both ASR and ST within a single joint model, reducing average WER and improving BLEU and COMET over strong hierarchical transducer baselines. We release our code and models at https://github.com/linanjie0820/LCMA-SRT.

WildFeedback: Aligning LLMs With In-situ User Interactions And Feedback

Taiwei Shi, Zhuoer Wang Amazon, Longqi Yang Microsoft, Ying-Chun Lin Amazon, Zexue He, Mengting Wan Microsoft, Pei Zhou Microsoft, Sujay Kumar Jauhar Microsoft Research 等 15 位作者

As large language models (LLMs) continue to advance, aligning these models with human preferences has emerged as a critical challenge. Traditional alignment methods, relying on human or LLM annotated datasets, are limited by their resource-intensive nature, inherent subjectivity, misalignment with real-world user preferences, and the risk of feedback loops that amplify model biases. To overcome these limitations, we introduce WildFeedback, a novel framework that leverages in-situ user feedback during conversations with LLMs to create preference datasets automatically. Given a corpus of multi-turn user-LLM conversation, WildFeedback identifies and classifies user feedback to LLM responses between conversation turns. The user feedback is then used to create examples of preferred and dispreferred responses according to users’ preference. Our experiments demonstrate that LLMs fine-tuned on WildFeedback dataset exhibit significantly improved alignment with user preferences, as evidenced by both traditional benchmarks and our proposed checklist-guided evaluation. By incorporating in-situ feedback from actual users, WildFeedback addresses the scalability, subjectivity, and bias challenges that plague existing approaches, marking a significant step toward developing LLMs that are more responsive to the diverse and evolving needs of their users.
