Non-invasive brain-to-text interfaces offer alternative communication pathways for people with communication disabilities. However, sentence-level decoding from electroencephalography (EEG) remains challenging. We propose a hierarchical EEG-text alignment framework that retrieves sentences by progressively decoding coarse-grained semantic information and fine-grained sentence representations. We hypothesize that broader semantic context can be more reliably captured from EEG than individual sentences. Accordingly, EEG representations are first aligned with semantic classes, followed by sentence retrieval within the predicted class. Among over 2,000 unique text samples, our approach achieves average top-5 and top-10 retrieval accuracies of 62.6\% $\pm$ 1.0\% and 83.5\% $\pm$ 1.0\%, respectively, compared with 50.3\% $\pm$ 2.3\% and 68.3\% $\pm$ 2.0\% for direct EEG-sentence alignment. Qualitative analysis further reveals that decoding performance depends strongly on textual context. These findings demonstrate the potential of hierarchical semantic alignment for improving sentence-level EEG-to-text decoding.

Robot-use Agents (RUAs) have shown promising zero-shot manipulation capabilities, but reliance on frontier, proprietary models limits research into further training. To democratize RUA research, we introduce uni-robot-agent, a unified harness for competitive open-weight robot use that supports further training. Without privileged inputs, an out-of-the-box Qwen3.8-Flash-Next achieves a RoboDojo Score of 31.39, surpassing the published GPT-6 Astra-RoboProbe result of 28.97 and many VLA/WAM baselines, and performs competitively on 19 real-world tasks. Our analysis across model generations, families, and sizes links effective robot use to four general capabilities, suggesting that future RUA training should develop them jointly.

Improving an agent through successive revisions requires balancing exploration and evaluation under a limited budget. A narrow search can miss useful sequences of edits, while fully evaluating every intermediate version often exhausts the budget before those sequences yield a verified improvement. Inspired by the draft--verify principle of speculative decoding, we propose Speculative Recursive Self-Improvement (SpecRSI), a two-level framework coupling inner-loop agent search with outer-loop improver learning. SpecRSI drafts successors before their predecessors are fully evaluated, while adopting only fully evaluated, admissible versions. In the inner loop, Verification-Aware Tree Search (VATS) allocates the budget between further edits and outstanding checks using the predicted verified return of a continuation. In the outer loop, Group Verification Optimization (GVO) updates the improver from completed searches while keeping the real evaluator fixed. We evaluate SpecRSI on scientific optimization (including active queue management (AQM) for network infrastructure), coding, and general agent-system benchmarks. Under matched evaluation-call budgets, SpecRSI improves scientific terminal gain over Janus by 60.0%--96.3% and area under the budget curve by 32.1%--91.6%, while achieving higher means across all 50 scientific backbone--task pairs and outperforming MetaRSI-v1 by 1.30--2.70 percentage points (pp) in system score across twenty backbones. On instance-level comparisons, it further improves PyBaMM terminal gain by 142.6% and SWE-Pro success by 6.0 pp at 7.0% and 9.2% lower token cost, respectively. These results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed approach.

LLM-based automatic heuristic design has shown promise for generating executable heuristics for combinatorial optimization, but existing methods mainly rely on delayed endpoint performance. We propose a \emph{teacher-aware evolutionary framework} that uses independently trained learned optimization policies as behavioral teachers. Instead of deploying or imitating the teacher, our method queries it on states visited by candidate heuristic programs and uses its action preferences as local feedback for evolution. The resulting search discovers static executable heuristics guided by both task performance and teacher-derived behavioral signals. Experiments on scheduling, routing, and graph optimization benchmarks show that our method improves over performance-driven LLM heuristic evolution baselines while requiring no neural inference at deployment. These results suggest that learned optimization policies can be repurposed as behavioral feedback sources for automatic heuristic discovery.

We revisit advantage estimation in Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO) and observe that any token-level advantage admits a two-stage factorization: a \emph{sample-level baselining} step that converts scalar verifier rewards into a comparable sequence-level signal, and a \emph{token-level credit assignment} step that distributes that signal over the trajectory. Existing estimators typically address only one of these stages: affine baselines preserve the shape of each task's reward law, so heavy tails and binary cliffs propagate into the gradient, while token-level credit rules tie the size of each token's update to raw confidence scales and need not conserve the total credit issued by the verifier. We propose \textbf{TACE} (Two-stage Advantage and Credit Estimation), a two-stage estimator that addresses both stages. At stage~(S1), we replace linear standardization with a one-dimensional optimal-transport map to a standard normal, which gives a common population reward law across tasks and caps finite-sample outliers deterministically. At stage~(S2), we rank-calibrate a stop-gradient evidence contrast within each trajectory and renormalize the clipped token weights to have mean one, so credit is redistributed across tokens while its total mass and sign are conserved. We prove population-level inter-task moment equity, a deterministic tail bound, and mass-conservation, boundedness, and sign-anchoring properties that affine baselines and unnormalized token weights do not satisfy. On a multimodal reasoning suite, TACE obtains the strongest results on a majority of the benchmarks but does not dominate every setting.

With the rapid evolution of synthetic media, Image Manipulation Localization (IML) has emerged as a critical component in multimedia forensics for ensuring the integrity of digital content. However, generalization remains a core challenge, as existing discriminative methods typically learn a fixed decision boundary that tends to overfit to specific training artifacts and fails to adapt to unseen manipulation types. To address this, we propose DiffIML, a novel framework that introduces score-based generative modeling to IML. Diverging from the direct estimation of hard boundaries, DiffIML approximates the score function, the gradient of the log-likelihood, to capture the intrinsic geometric topology of mask distributions. This paradigm leverages structural priors to iteratively recover coherent masks from noise, thereby circumventing the brittleness associated with discriminative models. Under this formulation, diffusion models serve as an effective numerical solver for the learned score function. To ensure practicality, we respectively resolve the efficiency and stability bottlenecks of standard diffusion by: (1) utilizing a Lightweight Mask-Specific VAE for fast latent-space process and a decoupled architecture with a lightweight denoising UNet, (2) edge supervision and error prior to mitigate error accumulation during sampling. Extensive experiments of two distinct protocols on eight non-generative and three generative benchmarks demonstrate that DiffIML consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods, yielding remarkable generalization improvements on diverse unseen datasets. The code is publicly available at https://github.com/scu-zjz/DiffIML.
Traditional industrial agents rely on modular pipelines, including Router, Retriever, Planner, Executor, Responder, Reviewer and so on, which inevitably fracture into a labyrinth of ad-hoc patches, leading to cascading errors and high latency. We propose OneModel, an applicable paradigm shift from external workflows to internalized knowledge representation. Unlike modular systems that slice fluid user intents into static steps, OneModel consolidates complex business logic and SOPs directly into the model’s parameters.Through Continual Pre-training (CPT) and logic-compilation SFT, we transform fragmented business rules into the model’s intuitive reasoning within a unified attention space. Deployed in our global financial service system, OneModel effectively breaks the impossible triangle of latency, accuracy, and complexity. Online A/B testing demonstrates end-to-end latency reduction of more than 50% (18.7s \rightarrow 8s) while the Intelligent Resolution Rate (IRR) jumps from 64.3% to 83.3%. The results demonstrate our paradigm OneModel effectively replaces brittle engineering logic with internalized cognitive intuition, offering a scalable and future-proof blueprint for transitioning industrial agents from complex, error-prone workflow to unified model architectures.

Federated Retrieval (FR) routes queries across multiple external knowledge sources, to mitigate hallucinations of LLMs, when necessary external knowledge is distributed. However, existing methods struggle to retrieve high-quality and relevant documents for ambiguous queries, especially in cross-domain scenarios, which significantly limits their effectiveness in supporting downstream generation tasks. Inspired by Dynamic Information Flow (DIF), we propose DFAMS, a novel framework that leverages DIF to identify latent query intents and construct semantically aligned knowledge partitions for accurate retrieval across heterogeneous sources. Specifically, DFAMS probes the DIF in LLMs by leveraging gradient signals from a few annotated queries and employing Shapley value-based attribution to trace neuron activation paths associated with intent recognition and subdomain boundary detection. Then, DFAMS leverages DIF to train an alignment module via multi-prototype contrastive learning, enabling fine-grained intra-source modeling and inter-source semantic alignment across knowledge bases. Experimental results across five benchmarks show that DFAMS outperforms advanced FR methods by up to 14.37% in knowledge classification accuracy, 5.38% in retrieval recall, and 6.45% in downstream QA accuracy, demonstrating its effectiveness in complex FR scenarios. Our code is publicly available at https://github.com/Artessay/DFAMS.

Recent advances in reasoning models have demonstrated remarkable capabilities on mathematical and coding tasks. However, their effectiveness in embodied domains, where the agent must continuously interact with environments and process observation-action interleaved trajectories, remains largely unexplored. We present Embodied-Reasoner, a reasoning model for interactive embodied tasks. Unlike mathematical reasoning that relies primarily on logical deduction, embodied scenarios demand spatial understanding, temporal reasoning, and ongoing self-reflection based on interaction history. To address these challenges, we synthesize 9.3k coherent Observation-Thought-Action trajectories containing 64k ego-centric images and 90k diverse reasoning processes (analysis, spatial reasoning, reflection, planning, and verification). We develop a three-stage training recipe that progressively enhances the model’s capabilities through imitation learning, rejection sampling tuning on self-exploration trajectories, and reflection tuning. The evaluation shows that our model significantly outperforms advanced visual reasoning models, e.g., exceeds OpenAI o1, o3-mini, and Claude-3.7 by +9%, 24%, and +13%. Analysis reveals that our model exhibits fewer repeated searches and logical inconsistencies, with particular advantages in complex long-horizon tasks. Real-world testing further validates the effectiveness of our approach.
