AI 速览:作者提出统一测试框架 uni-robot-agent,使开放权重模型可开展机器人使用智能体研究并支持后续训练,报告开箱即用的 Qwen3.8-Flash-Next 在 RoboDojo 上取得 31.39 分。

Robot-use Agents (RUAs) have shown promising zero-shot manipulation capabilities, but reliance on frontier, proprietary models limits research into further training. To democratize RUA research, we introduce uni-robot-agent, a unified harness for competitive open-weight robot use that supports further training. Without privileged inputs, an out-of-the-box Qwen3.8-Flash-Next achieves a RoboDojo Score of 31.39, surpassing the published GPT-6 Astra-RoboProbe result of 28.97 and many VLA/WAM baselines, and performs competitively on 19 real-world tasks. Our analysis across model generations, families, and sizes links effective robot use to four general capabilities, suggesting that future RUA training should develop them jointly.

AI 速览:Möbius 将扩散生成过程直接放入与运动理解共享的多模态表示空间,在连续帧级原始运动上统一实现运动描述、文本生成运动、时序补全与指令引导编辑。

We aim to build a truly unified motion model that can understand, generate, and edit human motion within a single framework. Existing motion UMMs remain only partially unified: motion understanding is handled by a language model, while generation is often delegated to a separate diffusion module operating over learned motion latents. We introduce Möbius, which brings the entire diffusion process into the same multimodal representation space used for motion understanding. Clean motion, noisy motion, and text jointly participate in shared attention, while role-specific parameters process understanding and generation streams. Importantly, Möbius operates directly on continuous frame-level raw motion, requiring neither discrete tokenization nor a pretrained motion VAE. This simple formulation naturally supports motion captioning, text-to-motion generation, temporal completion, and instruction-guided editing within a single model. On HumanML3D, Möbius achieves state-of-the-art performance among unified motion models. Scaling to 1.7B parameters and 1,700 hours of motion data further demonstrates that our framework is both effective and scalable.

ForgeKernel: Self-Evolving Kernels Catching and Surpassing Experts and Agents

Yaojian Chen, Dazhi Peng, Yiyun Zheng, Zhui Zhu, Shengye Xiang, Leshan Li, Zhen Li, Xianglong Deng 等 16 位作者

Purpose-built kernel agents can write high-performance GPU kernels, but existing systems generally lack cross-run knowledge accumulation and architectural evolution. Each run starts from the same initial knowledge, and later iterations largely optimize within an architecture fixed early in the search. We present ForgeKernel, a kernel-generation system that accumulates and reuses knowledge across runs while enabling continued evolution of kernel architectures. It analyzes the hardware behavior of a high-performance reference and distills validated architectural decisions into reusable knowledge of hardware mechanisms rather than imitating source code. It then seals a kernel that passes correctness and performance validation and uses it as the reference for the next optimization run, enabling architectural decisions to be revisited. Across 27 operators and 29 input configurations on NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell GPUs, ForgeKernel matches or beats its expert reference on 25 configurations, with a geometric-mean performance gain of 10%. On Ascend 910C, it outperforms the per-operator public best on the public case set of all 8 level-4 operators in the CANN-Bench Season 1 final leaderboard, with a geometric-mean gain of 25.1%, while its full-suite submission ranks first on the A3 leaderboard. As of 2026-10-30, public submissions generated by ForgeKernel rank first on all three CANN-Bench 2.0 solution leaderboards (Ascend 910C, 950DT, and 950PR) and on the SOL-ExecBench FlashInfer-Bench track.

Behind Video Generation: Observations and Insights on Multimodal Understanding from Kling

Kling Team, Dong Chen, Jialu Chen, Xinlong Chen, Yifan Dai, Haotian Dong, Binzong Geng, Yushuo Guan 等 53 位作者

Video generation has progressed from isolated clips to coherent short-form audiovisual sequences, and the bottleneck is shifting from rendering to semantic control. This report summarizes the observations and insights on multimodal understanding gained from successive generations of Kling. We argue that generation quality is the projection of multimodal understanding through the entire data--conditioning--alignment--evaluation chain, and we examine this chain module by module. Kling-MLLM, a shared multimodal foundation model that unifies image, video, audio, synchronized audio--video, and interleaved inputs, is specialized for each downstream module. Because a DiT is trained on far fewer training samples than a language model, we treat captioning as a semantic contract that maximizes description density, and extend it to reference-grounded captioning that makes reference bindings explicit. Prompt enhancement translates user intent into this caption distribution: basic PE is derived from captions of compelling videos and refined with text-level and generator-in-the-loop reinforcement learning, while agentic PE refines the story and retrieves compelling examples. We show that a reliable text encoder comes from perceptual training rather than from stronger language ability, and that candidates can be screened from text alone before end-to-end training. Reward modeling pairs a general reward model for explainable, localized critiques with a decision reward model for fast multidimensional scoring, treating perceptual bandwidth as a first-class design parameter. Finally, we review task-specific automatic evaluation, focusing on protocols that expose scoring shortcuts and help trace failures to their upstream source. We hope these lessons offer practical guidance for building the understanding stack behind controllable video generation.

Failure-Driven Workflow Refinement

Jusheng Zhang, Kaitong Cai, Qinglin Zeng, Ningyuan Liu, Stephen Fan, Ziliang Chen, Keze Wang

Optimizing LLM-based workflows is typically formulated as a global search, where candidate workflows are evaluated based on a scalar metric. This paradigm, however, suffers from a critical flaw: information collapse. By reducing rich, multi-step execution traces to simple success/failure signals, existing methods are rendered blind to the underlying structure of failures, fundamentally preventing them from modeling the workflow's failure distribution. We reconceptualize this challenge as a distributional problem. We propose a new paradigm where the optimization goal is not to maximize a scalar score, but to directly minimize a workflow's Expected Failure Mass, i.e., the integral of its failure probability density function defined over a high-dimensional Failure Signature Space (FSS). This distributional lens allows us to move from inefficient, zero-order optimization to a principled, gradient-like descent on the failure landscape itself. We introduce CE-Graph, a framework that operationalizes this paradigm through a novel, failure-driven refinement process. CE-Graph approximates the failure distribution from a pool of counterexamples, identifies its densest regions as recurring failure modes, and applies targeted, operator-constrained graph edits via a Propose-and-Verify mechanism to greedily reduce the failure mass. On math, code, and QA benchmarks, our CE-Graph achieves higher robustness at a significantly lower cost than strong baselines. This suggests that a system's reliability emerges not from avoiding failures, but from systematically learning and reshaping the geometric structure of its failure distributions.

Dexterous Robot Manipulation from Human Demonstrations via Contact-Anchored Retargeting and Residual Policy Learning

Zihao Yang, Chengyuan Liu, Yu Zhou, Runze Lv, Tianyu Cui, Sheng Yi, Haohua Zhu, Irvine Lu 等 9 位作者

Learning dexterous manipulation from demonstrations is bottlenecked by data: the contact forces that determine whether a grasp succeeds are absent from every scalable source of human demonstrations. This paper builds on two observations. First, what survives the change from a human hand to a robot hand is the contact structure of a demonstration - which finger regions touch which object locations, and in what order - rather than its joint motion. Second, physical consistency need not be engineered per task: a single residual reinforcement learning (RL) policy, trained once across diverse demonstrations, can repair kinematic recordings into physically consistent, contact-annotated trajectories, and the same residual formulation restores dynamic feasibility after retargeting. These observations yield a three-stage pipeline that converts human motion-capture recordings into dexterous robot policies with no real-robot training data: physics refinement with a simulated MANO hand recovers contacts and forces, contact-anchored retargeting transfers the demonstrated contact structure through an objective independent of hand morphology, and residual policy learning adapts the result to robot actuation. The pipeline reconstructs 25,454 single-hand trajectories (success 7.3% -> 59.3%) and 25 dual-hand tasks (16.0% -> 62.4%) with one shared policy per setting, transfers one human dataset to four morphologically distinct robot hands (+62.4 pp), and executes four contact-rich bimanual tasks on physical hardware with zero real-robot training data.

ICS-Sniper: A Targeted Blackhole Attack on Encrypted ICS Traffic

Gargi Mitra, Chanyuan Liu, Pritam Dash, Yingao Elaine Yao, Alain Zhiyanov, Aastha Mehta, Karthik Pattabiraman

Modern industrial control systems (ICS) increasingly host their Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) services in the cloud to reduce the costs of large-scale automation. To protect site-SCADA communications, ICS operators commonly use VPN tunneling and standard security practices. We show that, despite these security measures, an on-path Internet adversary can disrupt ICS operations without infiltrating the ICS perimeter, breaking encryption, or knowledge of the control logic. We present ICS-Sniper, a targeted blackhole attack that analyzes the VPN traffic metadata (sizes, direction, timing of packets) to identify narrow time windows, called critical superperiods, during which the site-SCADA traffic would likely contain highly critical commands or data. Post-analysis, in a subsequent operational cycle, ICS-Sniper drops a small set of payload-carrying packets in the critical superperiods to disrupt the ICS's operations. We demonstrate three attacks on two realistic modern Secure Water Treatment (SWaT) plant testbeds that can potentially violate the operational safety of the ICS while evading state-of-the-art ICS attack detectors.

Customizing Wireless Channels via Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces: Feasibility, Fundamental Limits, and Constructive Design

Xiyuan Liu, Qingqing Wu, Guangji Chen, Yuxuan Chen, Wen Chen

By adjusting their reflection coefficients, intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRSs) can reshape the channels between a base station (BS) and user equipment (UE). Existing studies mainly optimize IRS phase-shifts for communication objectives, leaving the physical attainability of prescribed IRS-reflected channels largely unexplored. This paper investigates channel customization with a phase-only IRS under three progressively relaxed criteria. Observing that the customization mean-squared error (MSE) has the same mathematical form as the signal MSE of a point-to-point multiple-input multiple-output system, we construct a counterpart problem to characterize individual singular-coordinate gain limits and the condition for attaining the amplitude-matching upper bound. To address multi-stream phase conflicts, we analyze principal contribution area (PCA) overlap and derive sufficient array-size conditions for disjoint PCAs under a specified focused-vector construction with parallel uniform linear arrays. We also derive necessary conditions from the two propagation links' singular values and an array-size restriction under the parallel-array Fresnel model. Both the restriction and the construction involve the BS--IRS array-size product. Numerical results show that jointly selecting right singular vectors and IRS phase-shifts reduces mean customization MSE, whereas gains exceeding propagation spectral limits cannot be realized exactly. These results provide design guidance and highlight spectral limits of phase-only IRS channel customization.

Parallelism-Aligned Pruning and Round-Aware Context Reuse for On-Device Multimodal Agents

Peipei Jiao, Mingkang Liu, Weiming Meng, Lichen Pang, Tianyuan Liu, Junyan Li

On-device multimodal agents are limited by two deployment mismatches: pretrained attention structures may not divide evenly across the compute cores of an edge accelerator, causing irregular partitions; and standard prefix caching keeps historical visual tokens in the persistent KV cache, whose capacity grows with the number of rounds. We present PARC, which combines parallelism-aligned structured pruning with lifetime-aware KV-cache reorganization. At the model level, it uses first-order Taylor importance and grouped-query-attention-aware selection to make attention dimensions divisible by the target core count while preserving the query-to-key/value ratio and head dimension. At runtime, it separates the system prompt, persistent text history, and transient visual observations by lifetime, updating text history during tool execution so that historical images leave the persistent cache and more interaction rounds fit a fixed budget. On 2,062 GUI actions, the incremental interface shows no accuracy regression, and task-aware recovery training restores 98.7% of the action-type accuracy gap and the coordinate hit rate to the original level. Under seven-core deployment, hardware-aligned pruning reduces vision-encoder latency by 11.4%, improves decoding throughput by 23.8%, and lowers per-heap high-water memory by 12.7%; a parameter-matched control confirms that the speedup stems mainly from core alignment rather than parameter reduction.

In an era defined by the explosive growth of data and rapid technological advancements, Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) stand at the forefront of artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Designed to seamlessly integrate diverse data types-including text, images, videos, audio, and physiological sequences-MLLMs address the complexities of real-world applications far beyond the capabilities of single-modality systems. In this paper, we systematically sort out the applications of MLLM in multimodal tasks such as natural language, vision, and audio. We also provide a comparative analysis of the focus of different MLLMs in the tasks, and provide insights into the shortcomings of current MLLMs, and suggest potential directions for future research. Through these discussions, this paper hopes to provide valuable insights for the further development and application of MLLM.

FinForesight: A Diagnostic Backtesting Benchmark for Deep Research Systems in Financial Forecasting

Fengyuan Liu, Mukai Li, Jieshun You, Yilin Zheng, Chenjia Min, Yizhou Zhang, Harper Chen, Qi Liu

Anticipating financial outcomes requires synthesizing evolving evidence and reasoning under uncertainty, making deep research systems promising tools for forecasting. Yet evaluating forecasting ability is challenging because historical backtests may reward memorized outcomes or information retrieved after the forecast date. Live forecasting avoids direct access to realized outcomes, but feedback arrives only after events resolve. To obtain timely feedback and assess historical scores, we introduce FinForesight, a diagnostic backtesting benchmark for financial deep research systems. Across the Chinese, U.S., and Hong Kong markets, the benchmark evaluates four forecasting tasks: valuation, return ranking, event direction, and future financial fundamentals. Two capability diagnostic tasks assess counterfactual reasoning and financial calculation, scored separately from forecasting performance. Our harness-compatible framework restricts retrieved evidence to information available at the forecast date. We compare pretraining-era, resolved post-cutoff, and live evaluations to test whether controlled backtests approximate future performance. Pretraining-era scores exceed post-cutoff scores in most temporal comparisons, and stronger retrieval controls narrow the gap between post-cutoff backtests and live results. Forecasting attribution and robustness analyses reveal how scores respond to retrieval policy and how predictions respond to prompt rewrites and numerical perturbations. The code and benchmark data are publicly available.

Urban functional knowledge transfer through global representations amid uneven data

Junyuan Liu, Xinglei Wang, Guangsheng Dong, Hao Sha, Zichao Zeng, Zhicheng Deng, Jiazhuang Feng, Xiang Wang 等 9 位作者

Urban functional observations are unevenly distributed worldwide, limiting analysis of how places are organised and used. AlphaEarth Foundations (AEF) provides a globally consistent physical representation. Whether this representation can support transfer of functional knowledge to locations with sparse or absent functional observations, and what governs transfer, remain unclear. We introduce POI-aligned Urban Embedding (PURE), which learns physical-functional relationships between POI-derived semantics and AEF. Across five urban analysis tasks covering 142 countries and territories, PURE increases mean $R^2$ from 0.792 to 0.830, with gains across widely different levels of POI availability. When target-city POIs are excluded, country-level alignment retains 87.9% of its performance gain. Cross-country experiments show that transfer is selective rather than universal, with larger gains between physically similar and geographically closer contexts, particularly among pairs within the same continent. Our findings reveal spatially structured urban functional knowledge transfer, offering a route to reduce reliance on dense local observations.

Intrinsic Distribution Matching

Deyuan Liu, Yansen Han, Kaiwen Zheng, Jun Xie, Jiacheng Liu, Zhenglin Cheng, Peng Sun, Jintao Zhang 等 10 位作者

One-step and few-step text-to-image generation must accurately render the details specified in the prompt despite limited opportunities for refinement. Distribution matching distillation (DMD) uses score differences to bring the generated distribution closer to a reference distribution. Following prior work, we estimate this difference with internal velocity branches, avoiding a separate fake-score network. We ask whether an explicit moment constraint improves this learned score supervision. A decomposition of the reverse-KL field into a Gaussian moment component and a non-Gaussian residual identifies statistics that can be constrained explicitly. We introduce Intrinsic Distribution Matching (IDM), which retains the full DMD correction and matches feature means and per-coordinate standard deviations using the generator's exponential-moving-average (EMA) copy, requiring no external feature encoder. Experiments use full-parameter and low-rank adaptation (LoRA) tuning on Z-Image-Turbo 6B and Qwen-Image 20B. At two network evaluations, IDM reaches 94.25% and 90.20% on Chinese and English LongText-Bench, the highest scores among the compared methods at this budget. Controlled ablations show gains from the added moment loss, while generator EMA features perform competitively with an external DINOv2 encoder across the five reported metrics. Code is available at https://github.com/inclusionAI/IDM.

ASIWorld: Benchmarking Autonomous Agents in a Persistent Survival Sandbox

Jianfeng Lin, Runze Wang, Haorong Hong, Yuxuan Xie, Zeno Zeng, Zhongyuan Liu

Evaluating autonomous agents requires examining whether they can translate goals into coherent action across extended interactions. In persistent environments, this requires coordinating interdependent actions under incomplete observations, accounting for delayed effects, and adapting as earlier decisions shape subsequent opportunities. We introduce ASIWorld, a survival sandbox that combines persistent world and character state with character-scoped observations and a programmable asynchronous interface to study sustained goal execution. Agents pursue interdependent production and exploration tasks through direct actions or agent-authored programs that continue running between model calls. The evaluation assesses task success, the attainment of development achievements, and survival costs, complemented by an analysis of execution behavior. In an exploratory study of nine agent configurations using a common harness, eight complete the production task and six complete both tasks. Analyses of execution trajectories and performance across difficulty levels reveal different preparation, combat, and recovery behaviors among configurations with similar task outcomes. Incomplete preparation is associated with stalled progression, while configurations that complete the tasks differ in survival costs and the fulfillment of additional achievement criteria. These findings illustrate the value of assessing sustained goal execution through both task outcomes and the behaviors and costs associated with achieving them.

BRIDGE: Learning Brain-Gut Metabolic Evidence for Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis

Pengli Zhu, Ruxi Chang, Tianliang Yao, Yu Jiang, Shengyuan Liu, Yiyang Lin, Xiaoyi Duan, Shuang Wu 等 10 位作者

Alzheimer's disease (AD) diagnosis may benefit from gut metabolic information associated with brain-gut interactions, yet existing models largely analyze cerebral glucose metabolism alone. Although whole-body fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) can provide paired brain-gut observations, routine brain examinations rarely include gut imaging, limiting direct use of this information for diagnosis. In this paper, we present BRIDGE (Brain and Gut Representation Integration via Distribution-Guided Enhancement), a two-stage framework for transferring brain-gut metabolic knowledge to brain-only diagnosis. Specifically, BRIDGE integrates a conditional brain-to-gut latent transport module and a disease-evidence-guided cerebral pathway to capture subject-specific cross-organ correspondence and disease-relevant cerebral representations. For the cerebral pathway, a large language model (LLM) helps organize literature-derived descriptors into human-approved semantic anchors that guide feature learning. Additionally, we introduce a counterfactual-guided residual fusion mechanism, which uses matched and non-matched virtual-gut evidence to supervise a confidence gate and dynamically regulate the contribution of transported cross-organ information. At inference, BRIDGE exploits complementary gut-related context using brain PET alone, without measured gut PET. Extensive experiments across public and private cohorts demonstrate that BRIDGE outperforms brain-only and cross-organ baselines, achieving AUC gains of 6.0% and 5.2% over its brain-only counterpart for CN/MCI and CN/AD diagnosis, respectively. Notably, its ability to transfer complementary brain-gut metabolic context while preserving brain PET as the sole inference input highlights its potential for clinically practical diagnosis. TKCAM: Text and Keyframe to Camera Trajectory Generation

Haozhe Yang, Zhiyang Dou, Zekai Gu, Cheng Lin, Wenping Wang, Yuan Liu, Taku Komura

Generating high-quality and controllable camera motion is essential for AI-assisted cinematography, video synthesis, and 3D scene understanding. We introduce TKCAM, a Text- and Keyframe-conditioned CAMera-motion synthesis framework based on generative masked modeling. We represent camera dynamics using a 12-dimensional kinematic feature comprising position, velocity, and a continuous rotation representation and discretize them into hierarchical motion tokens via a Residual Vector Quantizer (RVQ). A two-stage masked transformer architecture then learns to reconstruct and refine these tokens, utilizing explicit self- and cross-attention modules for multimodal conditioning. A central feature of our framework is sparse visual keyframe conditioning: users can provide free-form text prompts together with RGB observations at selected timestamps, which provide temporally localized visual guidance for generating coherent in-between trajectories. Furthermore, to advance evaluation standards, we curate RealEstate10K-Cap, a large-scale text-camera dataset, and establish a cross-domain benchmark with a Universal CLaTr Evaluator. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TKCAM surpasses recent state-of-the-art baselines on Fréchet distance (FID), text-motion matching scores, and retrieval metrics (R@K), while additional analyses evaluate temporal smoothness and cross-domain generalization. Code and RealEstate10K-Cap dataset are available at https://github.com/linearalgebrayhz/TKCAM.

Rethinking Bayesian Optimization for Co-Optimizing LLM Training Configurations

Zhiliang Chen, Alfred Wei Lun Leong, Shao Yong Ong, Apivich Hemachandra, Gregory Kang Ruey Lau, Chuan-Sheng Foo, Zhengyuan Liu, Nancy F. Chen 等 9 位作者

Fine-tuning an LLM to maximize performance on a downstream task requires finding the optimal data and model configuration. This is a black-box optimization problem that Bayesian optimization (BO) addresses by sequentially evaluating training configurations and using observed performance feedback to adaptively guide the search towards better configurations. However, directly applying BO to the joint data-model space suffers from two fundamental challenges: the prohibitive cost of full LLM training at each iteration, and the large number of BO iterations required for effective exploration due to the high problem dimensionality. This paper introduces JoBS, a BO-based approach that co-optimizes data and model configurations without requiring a full training run at every iteration. JoBS allocates an initial portion of the optimization budget to learn a scaling-law-inspired performance predictor that estimates fully trained LLM performance from only a small number of training steps. The remaining budget is then used to run BO with this predictor, eliminating the need for full training runs and enabling JoBS to explore significantly more data and model configurations within the same budget. We analyze JoBS's average regret and derive the optimal budget allocation between predictor learning and BO iterations. Empirically, JoBS outperforms independent data and model optimization methods and existing multi-fidelity BO baselines across a diverse set of downstream tasks. Our code is available at https://github.com/chenzhiliang94/BO-for-LLMs.

Dual Exam: Controlled Evaluation of Multimodal Agents and World Models

Zhefan Rao, Meng Chu, Xuan Billy Zhang, Jingfan Chen, Guohao Cai, Runyi Li, Shiyi Du, Xu Huang 等 92 位作者

World Models (WMs) can support Multimodal Agents (MAs) through simulated experience, while Agent trajectories can inform World Model refinement. Evaluating this interaction requires separate evidence about action selection and state evolution. We introduce Dual Exam, which tests Agents under fixed environment response mechanisms and World Models under fixed action interventions across physical, digital, social, and scientific domains. The Agent track compares 10 configurations on 1,088 items in 15 reporting categories. The World Model track contains 400 cases across eight scenarios; 15 configurations have full coverage and one covers six scenarios. GPT 6 Astra leads the case-weighted Agent Index at 31.3, and GPT-Image-2 leads the full-coverage WM Overall at 21.7. These scores use different tasks and metrics and are not directly comparable. A 150-case pilot of one coupled pairing records zero task successes and motivates component-level diagnosis. Results reveal uneven task performance and failures to preserve task-relevant state. Their value for predicting coupled success or sustained reciprocal learning remains to be established.

GAWM: A Compact Latent World-Action Model for Multi-Task Robot Manipulation

Yang Liu, Xiaoli Liu, Liuzhao Li, Yuduo Song, Muyuan Liu, Xiang Gao

World-action models (WAMs) incorporate the prediction of future observations into robot policy learning. However, most WAMs build on billion-parameter vision-language or video-generation backbones, which incur high training cost and inference latency. In this letter, we present GAWM (Geometry-Aware World Model), a compact multi-task WAM that predicts future observations in the latent space of a frozen DINOv3 encoder. GAWM compresses the features of each camera view into a small set of tokens. A lightweight predictor, conditioned on the task rather than on actions, forecasts these tokens at two future horizons. The forecast is supervised with the dense patch features of future frames, which requires it to encode the spatial layout of the future scene. An action decoder directly regresses a chunk of future actions from the current and predicted tokens. With fewer than 100M parameters and no robot or video pretraining, GAWM outperforms billion-parameter WAMs on RoboTwin 2.0 and performs comparably to billion-parameter VLAs on LIBERO. On a dual-arm robot, it achieves lower action-prediction error on held-out demonstrations than a fine-tuned billion-parameter VLA, with substantially lower inference latency. Ablation studies show that the latent world model substantially improves performance when training data or training time is limited. Code is available at https://github.com/gaoxiang12/ga-wm.

S3KF: Spherical State-Space Kalman Filtering for Panoramic 3D Multi-Object Tracking

Zhongyuan Liu, Shaonan Yu, Jianping Li, Pengfei Wan, Xinhang Xu, Pengfei Wang, Maggie Y. Gao, Lihua Xie

Panoramic multi-object tracking is important for industrial safety monitoring, wide-area robotic perception, and infrastructure-light deployment in large workspaces. In these settings, the sensing system must provide full-surround coverage, metric geometric cues, and stable target association under wide field-of-view distortion and occlusion. Existing image-plane trackers are tightly coupled to the camera projection and become unreliable in panoramic imagery, while conventional Euclidean 3D formulations introduce redundant directional parameters and do not naturally unify angular, scale, and depth estimation. In this paper, we present $\mathbf{S^3KF}$, a panoramic 3D multi-object tracking framework built on a motorized rotating LiDAR and a quad-fisheye camera rig. The key idea is a geometry-consistent state representation on the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^2$, where object bearing is modeled by a two-degree-of-freedom tangent-plane parameterization and jointly estimated with box scale and depth dynamics. Based on this state, we derive an extended spherical Kalman filtering pipeline that fuses panoramic camera detections with LiDAR depth observations for multimodal tracking. We further establish a map-based ground-truth generation pipeline using wearable localization devices registered to a shared global LiDAR map, enabling quantitative evaluation without motion-capture infrastructure. Experiments on self-collected real-world sequences show decimeter-level planar tracking accuracy, improved identity continuity over a 2D panoramic baseline in dynamic scenes, and real-time onboard operation on a Jetson AGX Orin platform. These results indicate that the proposed framework is a practical solution for panoramic perception and industrial-scale multi-object tracking. The project page can be found at https://kafeiyin00.github.io/S3KF/.

We study a shared, question-conditioned decision interface for this heterogeneous problem in content analysis. We organize PsyJudgeBench, comprising 13 annotated datasets and 82 questions across six psychological areas, while preserving source-specific criteria and masks for unobserved labels. We introduce PsyJev, a System-1 model that directly produces distributions over answers specified in each request. Joint supervised training establishes the shared judgment function, followed by Judgment-Anchored RLCD (JA-RLCD), which adapts logit-space reward optimization to heterogeneous psychological judgments through balanced supervision, selective retention of correct SFT predictions, and question-group reward optimization. The Qwen3.5-based 2B, 4B, and 9B models achieve 64.33, 66.21, and 67.56 average test F1, respectively. The 9B model exceeds the strongest external comparison by 2.54 points. Controlled 2B comparisons examine the training stages and anchored refinement. Further analyses examine question-conditioned judgment, inference cost, and probability quality, complemented by qualitative comparisons across models.

As LLMs expand their language coverage, evaluating how well they understand and represent diverse cultures becomes increasingly important. However, many benchmarks remain English-centric, with limited cultural coverage and a focus on factual knowledge over its application in real-world cultural contexts. We propose CulturalRiddles, a benchmark of original, culturally grounded riddles created entirely by humans through a participatory community effort, spanning 62 cultures (45 countries, 51 languages). These riddles are deeply rooted in their respective cultures and require abductive and compositional reasoning, alongside detailed factual and social knowledge, language skills, and an understanding of culturally specific associations. We benchmark 28 LLM configurations using both automatic and large-scale human evaluation. Even frontier models achieve at most 22% accuracy in some communities. We publicly release all artifacts alongside an open contribution process to expand the benchmark's linguistic and cultural coverage.

Confident First, Reflective Second: Reinforcement Learning of Confidence-Preserving Reflection for Video Understanding

Zihao Lin, Jingyuan Liu, Yucheng Zhang, Yuguang Yao, Lifu Huang

Video models answer from sampled frames and may miss the decisive moment. A common remedy is to commit to an answer, re-examine the video, and confirm or revise it, a loop now mainly learned with reinforcement learning (RL). We find that RL erodes the initial answer, a phenomenon we term confidence erosion, where confidence means the label-verified reliability of the initial answer instead of self-reported certainty: because errors can be repaired later, a correct initial answer earns less reward, and the initial answer stalls even as the final answer's gain over it rises. We propose the principle confident first, reflective second: the initial answer must stay reliable on its own, above a floor set by a reference policy, and reflection may only add to it. Our method, CoFire, implements this principle with one mechanism for each erosion channel: reward incentives, parameter drift, and gradient interference. CoFire reaches 67.0% mean accuracy on Video-MME, MLVU, and LongVideoBench, 1.7 points above the strongest compared 7B method, and improves initial-answer and final accuracy over outcome-reward RL by 4.1 and 3.7 points on average: a stronger initial answer carries through to a stronger final one.

JustGoal: With Only a Goal, the AI Baseline Is Above the Expert Kernels

A small number of GPU kernels often determines the efficiency of large language model training and inference. High-performance kernel development typically relies on expert knowledge through manual implementation, collaboration with general-purpose models, or specialized agents equipped with domain knowledge, evaluation methods, and search workflows. We investigate how much value this knowledge provides as foundation models become stronger. We introduce JustGoal, a goal-only baseline in which a general-purpose agent receives only the optimization objective and constraints, without kernel-specific infrastructure, knowledge bases, or predefined workflows, and builds its own evaluation loop. On NVIDIA B200 GPUs, JustGoal outperforms open-source libraries on 8 of 10 operators, achieving per-operator geometric mean speedups of 1.14x to 2.34x. It also surpasses the fastest publicly released specialized-agent kernel on 5 of 9 operators with available comparisons. In a controlled same-model comparison using Fable 5.1 on single shapes, the KDA-0.5 harness reaches 0.95x of JustGoal's performance, while single-mechanism ablations show no consistent benefit from domain knowledge or predefined workflows. These results indicate that specialized machinery should be justified by clear gains over a same-model, same-scope goal-only baseline and reevaluated whenever the foundation model changes.

WorldArena 2.0: Extending Embodied World Model Benchmarking on Modality, Functionality and Platform

Zhuohang Li, Yiding Ma, Yu Shang, Lei Jin, Shengyuan Wang, Jianjie Fang, Zhaolu Wang, Xvyuan Liu 等 29 位作者

World models have emerged as a central paradigm for embodied intelligence, enabling agents to predict action-conditioned future and reason about environmental dynamics. However, existing embodied world model benchmarks are still largely confined to vision-only prediction, offline embodied applications, and simulator-based evaluation, making them insufficient for assessing increasingly comprehensive world models. In this work, we introduce WorldArena 2.0, an expanded benchmark that systematically broadens embodied world model evaluation along three dimensions: modality, functionality, and platform. Along the modality dimension, WorldArena 2.0 extends evaluation from vision-only to visuotactile modalities, enabling assessment of multimodal perception and prediction. Along the functionality dimension, it extends beyond policy evaluation and planning to assess world models as interactive RL environments for policy optimization. Along the platform dimension, it moves beyond simulator-only evaluation to a diverse suite of simulated and real-world robotic settings across multiple embodiments. Under a standardized protocol, WorldArena 2.0 comprehensively evaluates perceptual quality, interactive utility, and cross-platform performance, providing a comprehensive testbed for tracking progress toward embodied world models. The project page including codes and demos is available at: https://world-arena.ai/.

E0.5: From Reconstructive to Future-Predictive 3D Foundations for Robotic World-Action Modeling

X-Era AI Lab Team, :, Jianhao Lai, Zhihao Zhan, Zhiquan Liao, Qichang Li, Shubin Chen, Zhiyuan Liu 等 28 位作者

World-action models (WAMs) offer a promising framework for embodied intelligence, yet mainstream approaches remain centered on video foundation models or vision-language models. Even when geometric features extracted by 3D models such as VGGT are incorporated, they are typically passed into a video model or VLM that serves as the primary backbone, leaving 3D geometry as an auxiliary input or prediction target rather than the native foundation for world modeling. We present E0.5, a geometry-native world-action model built directly on 3D foundation models. E0.5 introduces two key innovations. First, it adopts a 3D foundation model as the primary backbone, making 3D geometry the native representation for both world modeling and action prediction. Second, it explicitly predicts future 3D states together with actions, enabling the model to capture geometric world dynamics beyond action-only modeling or future video prediction. Experiments on RoboTwin 2.0 first demonstrate the effectiveness of E0.5 without embodied-data pretraining, achieving success rates of 89.90\% and 50.09\% under clean and randomized settings, respectively. Building on these results, we further pretrain E0.5 on more than 160k robot trajectories from AgiBotWorld-Beta, jointly learning robot actions and future geometry within the pretrained 3D foundation. This embodied pretraining improves mean real-world manipulation success rates by approximately 15 and 7 percentage points on AgileX Piper and Zerith H1, respectively. Together, these results demonstrate the potential of geometry-native foundations to acquire robot interaction knowledge and transfer it to physical manipulation. E0.5 embodies this geometry-native approach as a member of the VWA family of world-action models.

Supervising the Visible State: Separating Representation from View Selection in Streaming Video

Yihao Hu, Pan Wang, Yitong Lin, Zhihao Wen, Deyuan Liu, Hang Wang, Mingda Wan, Yiwen Zhao 等 11 位作者

An action seen once and the same action seen three times receive the same action-recognition label, so that supervision does not require a model to count. Answers shared across histories that differ in event order, accumulation, or relations leave those distinctions unconstrained; we call this state under-specification. Visible-State Supervision (ViSS) addresses it by training on source-grounded probes of event identity, order, accumulation, relation change, and answer sufficiency; under the same recent-frame interface it improves OVO-Bench over a strict-matched generic temporal supervision baseline while remaining comparable on StreamingBench, with the largest gain in hallucination detection. Test-Time Causal View Search (TVS) then adapts evidence access while keeping the learned model fixed, expanding from recent frames to sparse event and compact history views on demand. The two interventions separate representation from view selection: supervision particularly benefits hallucination detection and causal reasoning, access particularly benefits event recall and forward reasoning. Together they reach the best reported accuracy among the published systems compared here on StreamingBench and OVO-Bench at a fraction of the processed frames of exhaustive selection, and strict replay shows that most of the remaining gap to a three-view oracle is a correct answer that was later replaced. Streaming accuracy depends on what supervision asks the model to keep, what evidence inference exposes, and whether the model keeps a correct answer once it has one.

Priority-Preserving Advantage Aggregation for Multi-Reward Policy Optimization

Xiangchi Yuan, Xingjian Diao, Zheyuan Liu, Chunhui Zhang, Dachuan Shi, Kejing Xia, Zhenbang Du, Shenglong Yao 等 10 位作者

LLM post-training often optimizes multiple objectives with unequal priorities, such as correctness and reasoning efficiency. However, the widely used additive reward aggregation in RL can violate these priorities: when primary and auxiliary advantages conflict, a sufficiently large auxiliary signal can overturn the preference induced by the primary objective. We term this problem \emph{advantage priority inversion}. Although reward-level gating can protect priority more directly, it still removes potentially useful auxiliary distinctions among rollout samples that fail the primary condition. To address this trade-off, we propose Primary Advantage Policy Optimization (\textbf{PAPO}), a priority-aware advantage aggregation method that asymmetrically combines a primary and an auxiliary advantage. PAPO retains auxiliary supervision when the objectives agree and smoothly attenuates conflicting auxiliary signals, preserving the primary sign during fusion for \emph{primary-consistent ordering}. This rule applies to sequence-level advantages in GRPO and token-level advantages in actor--critic PPO. Experiments on multiple domains and models show that PAPO consistently achieves the best primary objective while maintaining best or competitive auxiliary-objective performance across both GRPO- and PPO-based optimization. \href{https://xiangchi-yuan.github.io/papo-project/}{Code is available}.

Towards Spatio-Temporal Intelligence Systems in Urban Space: A Twin-Agent Perspective

Zhen Dong, Haiping Wang, Wei Tu, Yuan Liu, Bing Wang, Xuan Sun, Jinzhou Cao, Ronald Clark 等 17 位作者

Cities must coordinate domains like infrastructure, mobility, environmental management, emergency response, and public services as conditions evolve. An urban Spatio-Temporal Intelligence (STI) system helps the city monitor citywide states, analyze problems, plan and execute interventions, and adapt through feedback, making urban governance more timely, effective, and transparent. Recent urban twinning and agentic AI techniques provide foundations for such systems. From a twin-agent perspective, this survey takes a system-level view of how these disparate techniques can be coherently integrated into an urban STI system. Specifically, we review how the twin reconstructs and represents a persistent, information-enriched urban environment, and how the agent understands the twin via interfaces, reasons over it, acts reliably, and continuously evolves with the city. Built upon this synthesis, we summarize a two-loop blueprint, where an inner agent loop for grounding, reasoning, and verification, and an outer system loop linking data, twin, agentic action, feedback, and update. We then use this to structure an STI research agenda and show how a shared prototype supports diverse urban domains.

FMC-DETR: Frequency-Decoupled Multi-Domain Coordination for Aerial-View Object Detection

Ben Liang, Hongguang Wei, Yuan Liu, Bingwen Qiu, Yihong Wang, Xiubao Sui, Qian Chen

Remote sensing object detection is a critical technology for real-world applications such as natural resource monitoring, traffic management, and UAV-based rescue. Detecting tiny objects in high-resolution aerial imagery remains challenging due to weak visual cues and insufficient global context modeling in complex scenes. Existing methods often suffer from delayed contextual interaction and limited nonlinear reasoning, which restrict their ability to effectively refine shallow representations and ultimately lead to suboptimal performance. To address these challenges, we propose FMC-DETR, a frequency-decoupled fusion framework for aerial-view object detection. First, we propose the Wavelet Kolmogorov-Arnold Transformer (WeKat) backbone, which employs cascaded wavelet transforms to enhance global low-frequency structure perception in shallow features while preserving fine-grained details, and further leverages Kolmogorov-Arnold networks for adaptive nonlinear modeling of multi-scale dependencies. Second, we introduce the Multi-Domain Feature Coordination (MDFC) module, which refines cross-scale fused representations through partial-channel spatial, spectral, and structural coordination, thereby strengthening small-object-related feature responses in cluttered scenes. Finally, we design the Compact Partial Fusion (CPF) module, which performs compact multi-branch aggregation with progressive partial refinement to improve feature diversity and multi-scale interaction while preserving stable information flow and reducing redundant perturbation. Extensive experiments across multiple remote sensing benchmarks demonstrate that FMC-DETR achieves state-of-the-art performance and significantly outperforming the baseline detector. Code is available at https://github.com/bloomingvision/FMC-DETR.
