Grounded reasoning, where a model outputs text coordinates of relevant locations in chain-of-thought reasoning, is a common strategy for solving complex visual reasoning problems. However, the benefits and limitations of grounded reasoning are understudied. We study where and why grounded reasoning is most useful. To do so, we introduce a chain-of-thought analysis method to measure how much a model uses its outputted grounding in its thinking trace and perform a detailed ablation study of a grounded reasoning training recipe. We find that grounded reasoning improves counting but shows no significant gain over baselines without coordinate grounding across a wide range of spatial reasoning and perception benchmarks. Using several synthetic tasks, we show that grounded reasoning is most useful when a task requires undescribable references, which are visual concepts that are difficult to describe in language. However, we observe that many existing visual reasoning benchmarks are solvable with only describable text references. To close this gap, we introduce BrickVision, a new benchmark that requires undescribable visual references to solve.

Modern video models possess strong visual priors, yet do not natively represent human action in metric 3D space. We present EgoGeneralist, which adapts pretrained video generators to unify action-conditioned egocentric video generation, pose estimation, and joint action-video generation. Our role-adaptive action renderer provides video-native representations for multidirectional action-video learning, making metric motion usable as both a spatial control signal and a recoverable generation target. Cross-stream action-video coupling establishes close correspondence between metric motion and visual dynamics through lightweight adaptation while preserving the pretrained visual prior. Together, these designs establish a generalist framework spanning five action-video tasks. Despite adaptation only on controlled laboratory recordings, EgoGeneralist generalizes to diverse unseen scenes and interactions with effective action control and visual quality, bridging pretrained visual knowledge and metric 3D human motion.

Models for physical AI tasks, such as robotics and autonomous driving, need not reason solely in language. They can use visual plans--points, bounding boxes, and trajectories--to represent spatial goals and anticipate motion. However, autoregressive vision-language models generate these plans one coordinate token at a time, making richer predictions increasingly costly. We introduce VFlash, a method for fast, accurate visual planning through Flash Primitive Decoding. VFlash exploits the known structure of visual primitives to predict their coordinates jointly, using a lightweight drafter that generates an entire primitive in one forward pass. The layout adapts to the primitive's type, dimensionality, and length, supporting compact boxes and long, variable-length trajectories. Crucially, spatial accuracy need not require reproducing an autoregressive model's exact token sequence. VFlash therefore trains on annotated primitives and directly accepts structurally valid predictions without target-token agreement. Across the evaluated 2D and 3D robot trajectory tasks, VFlash consistently reduces prediction errors relative to autoregressive decoding. Preliminary single-rollout measurements indicate approximately 25x faster generation for 3D point motion forecasting. A world action model conditioned on VFlash plans achieves 70.2% average success across four MolmoSpaces task suites, compared with 62.6% for the baseline.

LLM-based medical assistants that follow a patient across visits need a memory that keeps the patient's clinical state correct as it changes. We examine the errors of five memory systems on longitudinal medical dialogue and find three recurring causes: the retrieved evidence gives an outdated state, includes another person's health facts, or lacks a safety fact the answer depends on. We present MedGraph, a graph memory built for these three cases. Construction extracts dated facts from each session, attributes each fact to the person it describes, and links medication, diagnosis, and measurement records into chains that keep earlier states. Retrieval ranks the patient's chains as units, reads each chain at the time the question asks about, and adds the original dialogue text; a patient profile lists every recorded safety fact with every question. On MedMemoryBench, MedGraph has the highest overall accuracy with both a GPT and a Qwen backbone, 10.5 and 10.4 points above the strongest of five baselines, with efficient memory construction and answering in the GPT setting.

High-fidelity diagram creation requires coordinated visual-spatial decisions over semantic topology, visual styling, and geometric layout. Existing methods face a representation gap: pixel-based generation offers limited object-level control, while code-based synthesis provides executable structure at the cost of intuitive manipulation. We introduce EvoDesign, an agentic framework for editable diagram creation through an intermediate canvas schema that is both machine-actionable and directly manipulable by users. EvoDesign first constructs a diagram manifest through coordinated structure, style, and layout agents, and then renders the manifest in a diagnostic verification environment. This environment produces objective defect signals and VLM-based critique, enabling localized refinement of the current diagram while also providing evidence for long-term design expertise evolution. The evolution mechanism distills refinement traces into a three-tier design expertise memory, where candidate strategies are linked to the verification evidence that supports them and are promoted into broader guidelines and principles only through repeated cross-context support. We further define CanvasBench, a canvas-recoverable benchmark and evaluation protocol with content, visual, and cognitive dimensions. Experiments across pixel, code-based, agentic, one-shot schema, and canvas-native methods show that EvoDesign provides the strongest overall balance across content fidelity, visual organization, and cognitive usability. For LLMs, skills are textual recipes encoding mature problem-solving experience. Despite widespread deployment, their utility is limited by the model's ability to comprehend and follow skill instructions. To address this limitation, we propose ParametricSkills, a framework that parameterizes textual skills at test time, enabling context-free management of the full skill lifecycle. Specifically, we first construct a large-scale and high-quality skill collection, and then synthesize single-turn and multi-turn skill-exploitation trajectories. Using this data, we then train a hypernetwork that parameterizes both the content and the exploitation methodologies of skills by converting textual skills into LoRA adapters. To facilitate the real-world application of our framework, we further align the hypernetwork on complex, long-horizon trajectories collected with OpenCode, enabling the models to operate reliably in realistic interactive workflows with ParametricSkills. Across evaluations, ParametricSkills effectively parameterizes skills, yielding substantial gains in task completion. More notably, as parametric skills accumulate as adapters rather than crowding the context, they open a preliminary but promising path toward continual learning at test time.

Latent communication enables agents to collaborate efficiently by directly exchanging intermediate model representations rather than raw sensor data or text messages. Existing approaches, however, are primarily designed for LLM agents and do not consider the bandwidth constraints and heterogeneous task deadlines faced by cyber-physical agents. In this work, we propose SCALE, a real-time latent communication method tailored for cyber-physical agents. Motivated by the spatio-temporal continuity of the physical world, SCALE matches tokens across consecutive latent messages using similarity scores to identify reusable information and avoid redundant transmission. It then profiles the semantic gain and communication cost of transmitting different amounts of latent information. Based on these profiles, SCALE employs a real-time scheduler that jointly determines which pending messages to transmit and how many latent tokens to send, subject to available bandwidth and task deadlines. We evaluate SCALE across three cyber-physical benchmarks and a physical spider robot case study under diverse network conditions and heterogeneous task deadlines. Our results show that SCALE significantly improves both task performance and on-time delivery in bandwidth-constrained networks. 查看原文摘要

LLM-based generative recommendation reads long, text-rich interaction histories but generates only short semantic identifiers (SIDs). This asymmetry makes supervised fine-tuning inefficient: encoding the history is expensive, yet each history usually provides supervision for only one target. We present Merge and Branch (M&B) to reduce input cost and learn more from each encoded history. Merge compresses each historical item's SID and text into a small number of learned tokens. Branch uses the compressed history to predict multiple target SIDs. To share history computation while keeping these targets independent, M&B organizes each example as a shallow, wide tree. We develop tree FlashAttention to execute this layout efficiently, processing the shared history once and propagating gradients from every branch for end-to-end training. A tree-structured key/value cache extends history sharing to constrained decoding. Experiments on public benchmarks show that M&B outperforms strong recommendation baselines while substantially improving training and decoding efficiency. Online A/B tests on a large-scale e-commerce platform suggest that M&B effectively combines item text with multi-target supervision, yielding statistically significant gains in per-user clicks, orders, and GMV.

Current medical benchmarks typically break down clinical competence into isolated factual questions, single-image tasks, or static case vignettes. These tests score individual answers, but reveal less about whether a model can integrate subspecialty knowledge with multimodal evidence and track a patient's condition throughout a course of care. To close this gap, we introduce NPCBench, a clinical apprenticeship benchmark for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). NPCBench mirrors specialist training, from guideline and foundational knowledge to case planning, longitudinal review, CarePath integration, and open-ended consultation. It contains 4,777 component and consultation items and a 100-patient CarePath cohort with 417 scored diagnostic and care tasks. The episode-level evaluation tests whether diagnostic and care answers are jointly correct within a care pathway. By linking stepwise tasks to patient-level care trajectories, NPCBench evaluates whether models ground decisions in visual evidence, interpret changes in patient state, and meet clinical requirements in consultation. Across 30 evaluated models, we observe a composition gap: strong performance on individual tasks does not ensure jointly correct diagnostic and care answers for the same patient. Among 21 multimodal models, strict CarePath success reaches at most 23%. Paired controls and physician calibration further examine evidence grounding, longitudinal revision, and consultation judging. Overall, NPCBench broadens the evaluation of medical artificial intelligence beyond static question-answering paradigms to an apprenticeship-oriented assessment of clinical workflows, thereby offering a testbed for evidence-based and temporally coherent reasoning in oncology care.

We present the Whiel (a contraction of Whi(le-R)el) system for Lean-certified reasoning about imperative relational programs. The system can encode containment and equivalence problems for Datalog, its extensions with negation, and the core fragment of graph query languages. It can also represent optimized or incremental evaluation algorithms that are not expressible in the original query language, as well as first-order specifications of integrity constraints, schema mappings, and views arising in data integration, exchange, and sharing. Whiel's program states are database instances, and its imperative structure enables compositional Hoare-style reasoning with first-order relational specifications, using prophecy variables and leveled invariants to support inductive arguments. Whiel supports neurosymbolic discovery of loop invariants whose verification conditions can be checked using the Vampire first-order theorem prover. Counterexamples are fed back into the neurosymbolic pipeline, while proposed solutions are translated into Lean proof certificates. To validate the Whiel system, we evaluate its performance on a curated benchmark suite. In summary, we envision the Whiel system as a tool for tackling mathematically demanding, typically undecidable problems involving complex query and constraint languages, with a high degree of trust in its output.

We introduce GPWM, a Generative Particle World Model that predicts how 3D scenes evolve by generating the motion of particles and rigid bodies over time. Unlike video world models that generate scene appearance, GPWM operates directly in 3D physical space. A single representation and architecture cover rigid, deformable, cloth, and granular materials, in both passive physics and robotic interaction. GPWM is an object-aware multi-resolution transformer that combines flow matching with diffusion forcing to generate coherent physical trajectories far beyond its training horizon. We train and evaluate GPWM on ParticleWorlds, a 25.5-million-frame corpus spanning diverse geometries, materials, interactions, and robot embodiments. GPWM outperforms the best prior learned-dynamics baseline in each of six physical domains, reducing prediction error by 31% on average. Breaking from the domain-specific setting of prior methods, a single Unified GPWM models these heterogeneous regimes with one set of weights, largely outperforming per-domain baselines and even surpassing our own specialist models in two domains. GPWM further generalizes to unseen geometries, physical properties, object counts, and rollout horizons. Beyond prediction, GPWM enables contact-rich planning by learning a generative prior over joint actuator-object motion. Instead of searching over unconstrained actions, planning searches the model's latent noise for interactions that achieve a desired object-space goal. With the same world model, noise-space planning substantially outperforms action-space search on pushing and picking, where complex contact sequences are hard to discover. Executed open-loop in simulation, the resulting plans achieve goal-directed manipulation without reference action trajectories or goal-specific policies.

查看原文摘要

Self-improving embodied agents are increasingly being developed and compared on robot simulation benchmarks. Several recent works expose the benchmark's success criteria to the learning agent, a practice we call Criteria Exposure (CE). These criteria, originally written to verify policies trained by imitation learning, often demand more than the corresponding language instructions, so a score from such a verifier may not faithfully reflect whether the instructed task was completed, especially for robot-control programs written by an agent. As embodied coding agents report ever higher benchmark scores, a natural question arises: when a coding agent is exposed to the benchmark's criteria, does it generate code that better performs the instructed task, or code that simply overfits to the verification criteria? We conduct controlled experiments with a self-improving agent with and without CE, and find that with CE the agent quickly produces code with a higher success rate under the given criteria, but this advantage disappears when the criteria are changed slightly without departing from the original instructions. More importantly, the skills the agent develops under CE transfer poorly across tasks. We further propose instruction-faithful criteria and show that they better reflect the performance of agent-generated programs.

While Diffusion Language Models (DLMs) are theoretically well-suited for iterative refinement due to their non-causal structure, off-the-shelf masked diffusion language models (MDLMs) often fail to reliably revise incorrect tokens in practice. The key challenge is that the model cannot tell correct from erroneous visible tokens: standard MDLM training supervises only masked positions, undermining confidence-guided refinement. We study corrective behavior in DLMs, the ability to assign lower confidence to incorrect tokens and iteratively refine them while preserving correct content. Under matched compute and data, we show that conventional masked-diffusion fine-tuning induces much less of this capability than a correction-oriented post-training principle that explicitly supervises visible corrupted tokens, which enables discriminative confidence and targeted refinement. We further find that also supervising clean visible tokens, as in BERT- or GIDD-style training, stops remask-based refinement from improving with additional steps. To evaluate it, we introduce the Code Revision Benchmark, a controllable, executable benchmark for error localization and in-place correction. The effect transfers from a 0.5B model to LLaDA-8B and persists, with a smaller margin, when corruptions are drawn from the base model's own most plausible predictions. The same error-aware confidence also makes parallel decoding more effective. In HumanEval(+) code completion at 0.5B, mathematical reasoning at 16B, and high-entropy parallel decoding with remasking (ParallelBench), models trained with our objective outperform standard masked-diffusion fine-tuning under matched compute, and outperform the base model on HumanEval(+), MATH, and the high-entropy ParallelBench average; at 8B, neither objective improves from-scratch generation over the base model. Language models must now generalize out of the box to novel environments and work inside inference-scaling search procedures, such as AlphaEvolve, that select rollouts with a variety of task-specific reward functions. Unfortunately, the standard paradigm of LLM post-training optimizes a pre-specified scalar reward, often leading current LLMs to produce low-entropy response distributions and thus to struggle at displaying the diversity that inference-time search will require. We propose Vector Policy Optimization (VPO), an RL algorithm that explicitly trains policies to anticipate diverse downstream reward functions and to produce diverse solutions. VPO exploits that rewards are often vector-valued in practice, like per-test-case correctness in code generation or, say, multiple different user personas or reward models. VPO combines multi-answer prompting with a set-level reward to train the LLM to produce sets of solutions that specialize to different trade-offs in the vector reward space. Across four tasks, VPO matches or beats the strongest scalar RL baselines on test-time search (e.g. pass@k and best@k), with the gap widening as the search budget grows. For evolutionary search, VPO models unlock problems that GRPO models cannot solve at all. As test-time search becomes standard, diversity may need to become the default post-training objective.

Visual interaction models that support users during ongoing physical tasks require evaluation in closed loop, where assistant responses can change subsequent user behavior and task outcomes. Existing benchmarks largely rely on offline replay and therefore cannot capture these effects. We introduce Interactive Visual Gym, a framework for closed-loop evaluation and training of visual interaction models through joint simulation of executable task environments and human users. We contribute three simulators that recreate everyday tasks and human-aligned action spaces across cooking, household manipulation, and mobile-interface domains, together with a persona-conditioned user simulation harness that collaborates with the assistant while incorporating controlled execution errors and other out-of-plan behaviors. We instantiate the framework as IVG-Bench, a benchmark with 315 interaction scenarios. Evaluating state-of-the-art VLMs as visual interaction models reveals substantial limitations: the best-performing model, Gemini 4 Argon, completes only 53.4% of tasks within the time limit, exhibits significant weaknesses in factual grounding and actionable guidance, and is often too slow to prevent errors when response latency is considered. We verify our evaluation protocol with a human study which finds 78.5% agreement between our interaction-quality metric and participant preferences. We further show that the environments provide useful learning signals: in a proof-of-concept GRPO experiment, closed-loop training improves both task success and interaction quality for Qwen3.5-4B model in our cooking environment.

Personal AI agents face social engineering attacks supported by forged multimodal content, but existing evaluations mainly focus on text-based dialogue, leaving their intrinsic security under such attacks insufficiently studied. We introduce Multimodal-SEA, an interactive benchmark comprising 608 expert-designed tasks grounded in real-world fraud cases, covering 14 domains and 152 attack scenarios with prepared multimodal content. The tasks span four difficulty levels and reflect the distinct social and cultural contexts of Chinese and English environments. Agents inspect content, verify requests, and execute actions in simulated applications, with attack outcomes grounded in verifiable tool execution logs. To enable controlled red teaming of personal agents, we design a multimodal attack harness that integrates task information, attack progression control, and multimodal content construction to evaluate their intrinsic security against adaptive social engineering attacks in simulated environments. Evaluating seven widely used multimodal models across six dimensions reveals that all are vulnerable, with attack success rates of 7.1% to 34.5%. Adding multimodal content increases attack success from 19.9% to 29.2%, despite increased proactive verification coverage. Stronger safety instructions reduce attack success without improving recognition of deceptive multimodal content, while lower attack success rates for some models accompany excessive refusal of legitimate requests.

Neural theorem proving increasingly uses retrieved premises and project context to support proof generation. Evaluating these resources requires measuring the advantage of target-selected declarations over comparable alternatives and how this advantage depends on training. We introduce LeanContext, a benchmark of 129,826 Lean whole-proof generation problems, to investigate these questions. We group selected complete preceding mathematical declarations as Mathematical Context (MC) and the remaining selected local source commands as Environment Context (EC). Four aligned input views support crossed training and inference evaluations with shared targets and original Lean verification environments. For both diffusion- and autoregressive-based models, selected declarations outperform comparable alternatives by a larger margin when training includes MC. Final-input audits identify omitted declarations referenced by the target. Prioritizing these dependencies improves Pass@32 by 1.40% and 1.70% for LLaDA and Llama, respectively, on 2,000 targets. The selection experiment operates without access to target reference proofs and holds checkpoints, EC, and inference budgets constant. Egocentric human video offers a scalable source of manipulation priors for robot learning, yet translating raw data scale into generalizable robot policies demands rigorous data curation and training recipes. We introduce Open-HumanWAM, the first fully open recipe for scaling egocentric pretraining to 50,000 hours, anchored by Open-HumanWAM-50K---a curated egocentric video corpus densely annotated with hand motion and natural language. Leveraging this corpus, we systematically investigate pure human pretraining via closed-loop simulation evaluations and uncover an empirical log-linear scaling law linking pretraining data hours to downstream robot success rates. Grounded in these findings, we develop HumanWAM-Vanilla, a world--action model pretrained exclusively on 50k hours of egocentric human video. Upon robot post-training, HumanWAM-Vanilla reaches 92.08% success on RoboTwin 2.0 Clean2Clean and 68.88% on Clean2Random, alongside a 14.17% mean success rate and a 19.00 mean progress score on RoboDojo. To push the capability frontier further, we explore joint human--robot pretraining with HumanWAM-Goal, a visual-goal-conditioned world--action model. Hybrid data scaling unlocks broad zero-shot generalization across both simulation and physical benchmarks, propelling post-trained RoboTwin 2.0 performance to new state-of-the-art levels: 92.70% on Clean2Clean and a substantial leap to 84.60% on Clean2Random. Large language model agents increasingly retrieve tools from large catalogs, yet most retrievers rank each tool independently by request similarity. For multi tool tasks, this recovers the goal matching tool while omitting prerequisite tools required by the workflow. We introduce LIBRA, a framework for Library Induction by Runtime Assembly that turns a flat tool catalog into an executable tool library. An LLM proposes per tool contracts of candidate invocations, reusable outputs and state changes, and success conditions; LIBRA then tests these compositions in a sandbox and retains the relations supported at runtime. Constructed before user queries, the library requires no dependency annotations, tool use trajectories, or task specific training, and supports both one-shot and agentic retrieval. On AppWorld, BFCL, and SciToolEval, LIBRA improves one-shot Recall and NDCG over the same dense retriever by 7.9 and 3.7 percentage points on average. Within ToolReAGt, it yields corresponding gains of 4.5 and 2.9 points after ten retrieval iterations.

Large language models have made rapid progress in agentic reasoning and tool use, raising expectations for agents that can take over realistic productivity work from humans. However, current agents still struggle to finish such tasks, where success requires following long-horizon professional workflows, understanding heterogeneous file contexts, and producing usable deliverables under fine-grained requirements. A key bottleneck is the lack of scalable post-training data that reflects real work intent, authentic file environments, and deliverable-level evaluation. To close this gap, we introduce Agent-R$^2$, a $\textbf{r}$eal-source data synthesis framework that scales training data for $\textbf{r}$ealistic productivity work. Instead of relying on manually specified workflows or LLM-generated files, Agent-R$^2$ grounds synthesis throughout the pipeline in real occupational seeds, corpus-derived workflow evidence, and authentic web-sourced files. From 10k web-corpus candidates, Agent-R$^2$ distills 4k task instances that pair real multi-format attachments with fine-grained, deliverable-level rubrics. On this data, we train Agent-R$^2$-4B via supervised fine-tuning and rubric-based reinforcement learning, improving both end-to-end productivity performance and file-grounded reasoning. Trained on only 4k instances, Agent-R$^2$-4B surpasses Qwen3-235B-A22B-Thinking-2507 on both GDPval (51.0$\%$ vs. 48.0$\%$) and OfficeQA (14.8$\%$ vs. 13.8$\%$). Further analysis shows that Agent-R$^2$ mitigates shortcut behavior, where agents produce superficially plausible deliverables before sufficiently grounding, constructing, or verifying them, while promoting sustained exploration.

Multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) with impressive perception and understanding capabilities will enable a range of downstream applications. However, their substantial computational and memory requirements hinder the real-world implementation, particularly for resource-constrained edge devices. Quantization has emerged as an effective solution for deploying large models. While post-training quantization (PTQ) successfully retains the performance at moderate bit-width (e.g., W8A8), it suffers from severe performance degradation under low-bit quantization (e.g., W4A8), especially for small-scale models that are more suitable for edge deployment. In this paper, we propose ProQuant, a novel weight-activation quantization-aware training (QAT) framework tailored for low-bit MLLMs. First, to align the limited finetuning dataset distribution with the pretrained dataset distribution, we propose a self-relabeling (SRL) scheme to resample the responses of the open-source multimodal dataset. Second, we are the first to take a decoupled view of multi-modal (MM) understanding and language modeling abilities. We propose a progressive block activation (PBA) mechanism to prioritize the MM understanding recovery. We also introduce a vision-sensitive factor $\vecτ$ that effectively identifies the MM-critical layers. Extensive experiments across various benchmarks, covering models with 2B-8B parameters, show that ProQuant significantly outperforms existing methods. For example, our W4A8 Qwen3-VL-2B-Instruct improves average accuracy by impressively 6.6% and achieves performance comparable to full precision counterparts with only approximately 1% performance drop. EvoDR: Evolving Dispatching Rules via Large Language Model for Dynamic Flexible Assembly Flow Shop Scheduling

Junhao Qiu, Haoyang Zhuang, Fei Liu, Jianjun Liu, Qingfu Zhang

原文摘要

Dynamic flexible assembly flow shop scheduling with multi-product delivery, often with kitting supply and machine-level flexibility, can be found in many applications. It is difficult to design rules manually for it. Genetic programming (GP) has been used to automatically generate dispatching rules, enabling responsive scheduling while meeting high responsiveness demands. However, GP methods are dependent on fixed terminal sets and have poor interpretability. In this work, we develop an evolving dispatching rules framework (EvoDR) that leverages the semantic understanding and generation capabilities of large language models to achieve cross-domain integration of rule design and scheduling knowledge. In our proposed framework, multi-stage assembly supply decisions are modeled as priority sorting of directed edges based on heterogeneous graphs. A dual-expert co-evolution mechanism is proposed, which allows LLM-A to generate code and LLM-S conduct scheduling analysis and reflection. Guided by improvements in hybrid evaluation, adaptive rules that fit dynamic features are continuously evolved. Experimental results show that EvoDR can achieve lower average tardiness than other automatically designed state-of-the-art approaches. It also outperforms expert-designed competitors across 480 instances over 24 distinct scenarios with varying resource configurations and disturbance levels, and EvoDR demonstrates robust adaptability across diverse operating conditions.

CityRAG: Stepping Into a City via Spatially-Grounded Video Generation

原文摘要

We address the problem of generating a 3D-consistent, navigable environment that is spatially grounded: a simulation of a real location. Existing video generative models can produce a plausible sequence that is consistent with a text (T2V) or image (I2V) prompt. However, the capability to reconstruct the real world under arbitrary weather conditions and dynamic object configurations is essential for downstream applications including autonomous driving and robotics simulation. To this end, we present CityRAG, a video generative model that leverages large corpora of geo-registered data as context to ground generation to the physical scene, while maintaining learned priors for complex motion and appearance changes. CityRAG relies on temporally unaligned training data, which teaches the model to semantically disentangle the underlying scene from its transient attributes. Our experiments demonstrate that CityRAG can generate coherent minutes-long, physically grounded video sequences, maintain weather and lighting conditions over thousands of frames, achieve loop closure, and navigate complex trajectories to reconstruct real-world geography.

CoMPAS3D: A Dataset and Benchmark for Interactive Motion

原文摘要

Socially interactive humanoids aim to interact with humans through their bodies, adapting in real time to a partner's movement, intent, and abilities. This requires models that understand both how bodies move and what their movements mean. Yet, existing evaluation frameworks for interactive motion generation do not assess whether generated reactive motions are valid or appropriate within a shared movement vocabulary. Existing frameworks rely on kinematic metrics such as FID and beat alignment that cannot capture this semantic property, while improvised interaction datasets lack fine-grained move annotations. Inspired by computational evaluations of games such as Go and Chess, we propose Salsa as an embodied interaction evaluation domain. Salsa is interactive, dyadic, and governed by a move vocabulary and community-validated judging criteria covering timing, musicality, technique, difficulty, partnering, and originality. We present CoMPAS3D, a motion capture dataset of improvised partner salsa dance and an evaluation framework covering kinematic quality, two objective metrics (move legibility and proficiency appropriateness), and six competition-based subjective dimensions. The dataset comprises 3 hours of improvisation by 18 dancers spanning beginner, intermediate, and professional skill levels, with over 2,800 expert-annotated segments covering move types, execution errors, and stylistic elements. We define three benchmark tasks: move classification, proficiency estimation, and follower generation. Fine-tuned vision-language models perform well on ground-truth sequences and correlate with subjective expert judgments, suggesting their promise as measurement tools. Applied to Duolando and InterGen, our objective metrics reveal a large gap between ground-truth and generated dances, corroborated by expert human evaluations across six judging dimensions.

PCBRouteAgent: How Close Are LLM Agents to Becoming PCB Routing Engineers?

Yue Zhang, Jilei Sun, Liqiang Jing, Yijie Wei, Ruohan Yang

原文摘要

Automating printed circuit board (PCB) routing requires coordinating board-level connectivity decisions with geometric execution under strict design rules. Although recent agents can interact with native routing tools, reliable routing on complex boards remains challenging. We present PCBRouteAgent, a multimodal PCB routing agent inspired by how human engineers coordinate global strategy with local execution. A Global Routing Planner combines board images and structured electrical and geometric information to specify connection topology, routing order, corridors, and layer transitions. A Detailed Routing Executor realizes these guides through KiCad's native routing engine and performs bounded local recovery. Unresolved failures are returned as structured feedback, enabling targeted guide revisions while preserving accepted routes. We evaluate PCBRouteAgent on 247 synthetic and real-world boards from four PCBWorld-Bench test splits. It achieves clean-pass rates of 100%, 94.9%, 100%, and 40% on D2, D3-A, D3-B, and D3-C, respectively. On the three real-world subsets, PCBRouteAgent outperforms the best evaluated baseline in clean-pass rate by 13.9, 36, and 10 percentage points, respectively.

La-JEPA: Compact Robot Policies with Latent World Modeling

原文摘要

World-action models adapt pretrained video generators, and vision-language-action models build on pretrained vision-language backbones; both tie policy architecture and inference cost to large transformers designed for generation rather than control. It remains unclear how much these generation-oriented choices affect control. In this work, we introduce Latent Action JEPA (La-JEPA), a compact world-action model whose policy transformer is trained from scratch in the feature space of a pretrained V-JEPA 2.1 encoder. Following Fast-WAM, La-JEPA learns to predict future features jointly with actions during training and generates only actions at inference. Among policies without embodied pretraining, La-JEPA achieves state-of-the-art performance in clean and randomized RoboTwin 2.0 scenes and on LIBERO-Plus with correct instructions, while using far fewer parameters than the strongest competing policies. It runs substantially faster than Fast-WAM at comparable performance and outperforms the closest JEPA-based methods, LeapBot-WA and JEPA-WAM, on LIBERO-Plus and RoboTwin 2.0 without their pretrained policy backbones. On four real-robot tasks, its average success is comparable to pi0.5 and above non-embodied-pretrained baselines. Through a design study of the choices behind La-JEPA, we show that JEPA features outperform video VAE latents, most clearly out of distribution, and that training-time future prediction choices significantly impact the policy even when future prediction is skipped at inference. We correct the LIBERO-Plus instructions, as the officially released evaluator corrupts them for most variants, and re-evaluate several strong open baselines. Without a generative pretrained policy backbone, La-JEPA is better and faster than far larger policies, suggesting that robot foundation models may benefit from architectures designed for control rather than inherited from generation.

Beyond K/V Caches: Cross-Model State Handoff in Hybrid Linear-Attention LLMs

Jiacheng Cai, Tao Zhang, Siqi Liang, Yun Dai, Ziqian Zeng

原文摘要

Production deployments often use different models to balance cost and quality through cascading, routing, and switching models during long conversations. Context accumulates across turns. Each switch requires the target to repeat prefill over this context. Existing methods transfer full-attention (FA) K/V caches across models. Hybrid linear-attention models also retain recurrent states (REC) and convolution histories (Conv). The interaction between Conv and REC complicates cross-model state transfer. Conv perturbations can change keys and values in recurrent layers and alter REC updates. Conv histories are overwritten, but changes in REC can still affect later outputs. More accurate REC reconstruction need not improve continuation. Building on this, we propose Hybrid State Transfer (HST) for all three state types. It uses structured REC maps and preserves history order during Conv alignment. We calibrate the adapters using the frozen target's outputs during continuation. FA cache map updates are merged offline. Across five benchmarks, Qwen3.5 4B$\rightarrow$27B and 9B$\rightarrow$27B achieve mean task retentions of 89.88% and 94.11%, respectively. With source caches already available, separate timing on synthetic 16K inputs yields handoff body speedups of $21.66\times$ and $21.91\times$.

FreeOcc: Decoupling Ego-Motion for Efficient 4D Occupancy Forecasting via Continuous Flow Matching

Zeping Zhang, Zhuoya Zhao, Samy Metari, Robert Laganière

原文摘要

Current 4D occupancy world models use heavy cross-attention or deep recurrence to disentangle ego-motion from scene dynamics. This requires significant computational capacity. However, this effort is largely redundant since the ego-vehicle's intended future motion is provided by the downstream motion planner. We present FreeOcc, a lightweight continuous-time world model that introduces explicit $SE(2)$ geometric decoupling into a conditional flow-matching framework. By mathematically factoring out self-motion, we create a purely dynamic feature space. This space supports attention-free temporal fusion and allows physics-constrained ODEs to operate strictly on residual agent kinematics. To maximize deployment efficiency, FreeOcc introduces an uncertainty-aware blending mechanism. This routes well-observed voxels to a single-pass decoder, reserving the ODE solver exclusively for ambiguous, high-uncertainty regions. Requiring only 28.3M parameters-roughly 40% of comparable models-our optimal ensemble mode (FreeOcc-E) runs at 27 FPS. On nuScenes, FreeOcc achieves state-of-the-art forecasting performance with a 0.47 m Near Field Chamfer Distance (NFCD) and 32.1% mIoU. Furthermore, the model transfers zero-shot to SemanticKITTI. It also proves highly robust, retaining 92.8% of its ideal mIoU under significant sensor packet loss and timestamp jitter.

Reinforcing End-to-End Autonomous Driving Safety via Negative-Aware Planning in a Unified World-Action Model

Zihao Zhang, Xinyu Zhang, Bing Zeng, Xingyu Chen, Zhenning Li, Bin Yu, Ziyuan Pu

原文摘要

World-action models (WAMs) jointly model future traffic states and driving actions for end-to-end autonomous driving in intelligent transportation systems. However, their action learning remains dominated by expert-trajectory imitation, leaving unsafe alternatives close to expert trajectories insufficiently constrained. To improve WAM robustness in safety-critical scenarios, we propose NegWAM, a safety post-training framework for unified WAMs that learns explicit safety boundaries from near-expert failure trajectories. NegWAM constructs negative trajectories that are geometrically close to the expert trajectory yet carry safety risks, uses them as repulsive anchors to steer predictions away from dangerous behavior, and encodes them as scene-conditioned rider tokens to learn scene--trajectory compatibility. During training, NegWAM jointly optimizes the flow-matching and near-expert negative objectives, while the auxiliary rider branch is discarded at inference, incurring no additional overhead. On NAVSIM v2, NegWAM achieves 40.4 EPDMS on navhard, a 4.1% relative improvement over the strongest compared scorer-free WAM baseline, and achieves 93.3 EPDMS on navtest. These results demonstrate that NegWAM achieves strong performance in safety-critical scenarios while preserving routine-driving performance. Zero-shot closed-loop evaluation on HUGSIM further demonstrates cross-benchmark generalization. The code is available at https://github.com/Zizizi-hao/NegWAM.

Towards Practical 20 kbps Generative Video Compression via Adaptive Tokenization and Entropy Modeling

Jiancheng Zhao, Jixiang Luo, Haibin Huang, Chi Zhang, Xuelong Li

原文摘要

Video compression at ultra-low bitrates remains challenging due to the loss of perceptually important details under limited bit budgets. Recent generative video compression methods leverage pretrained video priors to improve perceptual quality and temporal coherence, but many follow a compress-then-generate paradigm, where generative priors are primarily exploited during reconstruction. Moreover, representations learned for generation and reconstruction are not inherently optimized for entropy coding. In this work, we propose \method, which adapts pretrained video representations into compression-oriented representations while preserving their reconstruction capability. Specifically, we adapt the pretrained causal video VAE of MiniMax-H3 into a discrete video tokenizer and develop a small autoregressive entropy model that captures local and global token dependencies, with grouped prediction for parallel decoding. To further improve coding efficiency, we jointly optimize the tokenizer and entropy model using a differentiable rate surrogate, allowing rate gradients to adapt token assignments toward lower coding costs while preserving reconstruction quality. Experiments on UVG, MCL-JCV, and HEVC Class B demonstrate superior perceptual rate--distortion performance, achieving BD-LPIPS savings of 82.2\%--87.5\% and BD-DISTS savings of 78.3\%--85.0\% relative to GLC-Video.
