LLM service selection requires performance evidence that reflects the demands of the current task. Aggregate scores obscure differences in capability and difficulty, while semantically related examples can involve different combinations of skills. We present RouteAlign, which uses task requirements to structure both the measurement of model performance and the selection of services. Task requirements describe capability demand and difficulty, enabling alignment with corresponding model performance measurements. Historical requirements determine how outcomes contribute to global profiles and local capability estimates; incoming requirements determine how those measurements inform the current decision. A shared scorer integrates the evidence, and a generation-cost preference controls selection among eligible services. Evaluation across diverse tasks and heterogeneous LLM services shows that RouteAlign extends the empirical quality-cost frontier toward higher task quality. Comparisons with open Jev-style decision backends show consistent quality gains, with lower generation cost than their strongest tested configuration. Ablations support the contribution of local performance evidence, while catalog-update experiments demonstrate effective reuse of the fitted scorer with refreshed model measurements.

Computation, not weight access: large language models as auditors of clinical prediction networks

Zhiyu Liu, Xinyu Yang

原文摘要

Frontier large language models (LLMs) have been reported to read, edit and write the weights of small neural networks, raising the prospect of auditing clinical prediction models from their files alone. Public demonstrations, however, mixed reading raw weights with running code. We separated these conditions in internally pre-specified simulation experiments. Tanh networks of 105 to 38,401 weights were trained on simulated cohorts of patients with subarachnoid haemorrhage, each with a planted relationship or none, and one network was trained on labels that under-recorded deaths in a subgroup. GPT-6 Astra and four other GPT models answered single prompts under a default or an explicit system instruction, either with the weights in the prompt and no tools, or with a calculation-only tool that exposed the weights (white box) or only the network's predictions (black box). Without tools, Astra recovered planted relationships in 353-weight networks but became unreliable at 3,457 weights, and under the default instruction it declined 11 of 12 audit and repair tasks as unidentifiable; the explicit instruction removed these refusals. With the tool, it recovered the planted relationship in all 29 runs on networks of up to 38,401 weights, raised no false alarm in 15 runs on null networks, and found the biased subgroup in 6 of 6 runs. Black-box access performed as well as white-box access, and other GPT-6 models read as accurately. A well-designed script matched the comparator models on the audit and the best LLM repair. For auditing these networks, what mattered was computation and elicitation, not access to the weights.

Towards Generalized Image Manipulation Localization via Score-based Model

Yunfei Wang, Bo Du, Zhe Yang, Xin Liu, Zhiyu Lin, Tianxin Xu, Ji-Zhe Zhou

原文摘要

With the rapid evolution of synthetic media, Image Manipulation Localization (IML) has emerged as a critical component in multimedia forensics for ensuring the integrity of digital content. However, generalization remains a core challenge, as existing discriminative methods typically learn a fixed decision boundary that tends to overfit to specific training artifacts and fails to adapt to unseen manipulation types. To address this, we propose DiffIML, a novel framework that introduces score-based generative modeling to IML. Diverging from the direct estimation of hard boundaries, DiffIML approximates the score function, the gradient of the log-likelihood, to capture the intrinsic geometric topology of mask distributions. This paradigm leverages structural priors to iteratively recover coherent masks from noise, thereby circumventing the brittleness associated with discriminative models. Under this formulation, diffusion models serve as an effective numerical solver for the learned score function. To ensure practicality, we respectively resolve the efficiency and stability bottlenecks of standard diffusion by: (1) utilizing a Lightweight Mask-Specific VAE for fast latent-space process and a decoupled architecture with a lightweight denoising UNet, (2) edge supervision and error prior to mitigate error accumulation during sampling. Extensive experiments of two distinct protocols on eight non-generative and three generative benchmarks demonstrate that DiffIML consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods, yielding remarkable generalization improvements on diverse unseen datasets. The code is publicly available at https://github.com/scu-zjz/DiffIML.

Learning from Textual Radiology Reports: A Benchmark Dataset for Coronary CT Angiography

原文摘要

While coronary imaging is widely used for anatomical assessment, CCTA reports play a distinct last-mile role in clinical care. Ratherthan serving as an intermediate signal, CCTA provides an assessment of coronary disease severity (known as the CAD-RADS score) toguide patient management. However, real-world clinical text exhibits substantial heterogeneity in terminology and structure, leadingto inconsistent interpretation by automated systems, even for clinically similar cases. Recent work leverages a direct application ofLLMs for automated CAD-RADS scoring, but is limited by small, non-public, and homogeneous clinical data. We introduce CCTA-RADS, the largest publicly available dataset of 940 real-world CCTA reports from a major cardiovascular center, each annotated with CAD-RADS scores. Our analysis reveals that direct approaches, including state-of-the-art LLMs (GPT-4o, GPT-o3) and fine-tuned BERT models underperform on diverse real-world clinical data. To address these limitations, we propose a two-stage pipeline that decouples structuring from classification: an LLM-based parser normalizes heterogeneous reports into structured format, followed by fine-tuned BERT classification. This approach substantially improves the F1-score by 6%-13% compared with direct methods. We deploy our system as an interactive web interface that allows clinicians to upload CCTA reports for automated CAD-RADS assessment with SHAP and LIME explainability visualizations.

原文摘要

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have fundamentally reshaped speech-to-speech (S2S) systems, enabling increasingly natural spoken interaction. However, existing benchmarks still rely heavily on text-based evaluation and largely ignore paralinguistic cues such as prosody, emotion, and speaker traits, which are central to expressive and human-like communication. We introduce S2S-Arena, a speech-native benchmark for evaluating instruction-following S2S models with explicit assessment of both semantic understanding and paralinguistic expression. S2S-Arena features a four-level interaction protocol that systematically probes models under increasing paralinguistic complexity, a two-stage data construction pipeline that produces 1,243 speech samples spanning 100+ real-world tasks, and an arena-style evaluation framework that enables reference-free, pairwise comparison directly in the speech modality. Benchmarking 10 state-of-the-art S2S systems over 1,000+ comparisons reveals substantial performance gaps (especially under complex paralinguistic demands) between current academic and industrial systems. Our analysis further identifies key design factors governing expressive instruction following, providing actionable insights for building more natural, robust, and human-aligned speech agents.

CodeFlowBench: A Multi-turn, Iterative Benchmark for Complex Code Generation

Sizhe Wang, Zhengren Wang Peking University, Dongsheng Ma, Yongan Yu Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute and McGill University, McGill University, Rui Ling, Zhiyu li, Feiyu Xiong MemTensor (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., Wentao Zhang

原文摘要

Modern software development demands code that is maintainable, testable, and scalable by organizing the implementation into modular components with iterative reuse of existing codes. We formalize this iterative, multi-turn paradigm as codeflow and introduce CodeFlowBench, the first benchmark designed to comprehensively evaluate LLMs’ ability to perform codeflow - implementing new functionality by reusing existing functions over multiple turns. CodeFlowBench comprises two complementary components: CodeFlowBench-Comp, a core collection of 5,000+ competitive programming problems from Codeforces updated via an automated pipeline and CodeFlowBench-Repo, which is sourced from GitHub repositories to better reflect real-world scenarios. Furthermore, a novel evaluation framework featured dual assessment protocol and structural metrics derived from dependency trees is introduced. Extensive experiments reveal significant performance degradation in multi-turn codeflow scenarios. Furthermore, our in-depth analysis illustrates that model performance inversely correlates with dependency complexity. These findings not only highlight the critical challenges for supporting real-world workflows, but also establish CodeFlowBench as an essential tool for advancing code generation research.

Inside Out: Evolving User-Centric Core Memory Trees for Long-Term Personalized Dialogue Systems

Jihao Zhao, Ding Chen China Telecom Corporation Limited Research Institute, Zhaoxin Fan Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Kerun Xu, Mengting Hu Nankai University, Bo Tang, Feiyu Xiong MemTensor (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., Zhiyu li

原文摘要

Existing long-term personalized dialogue systems struggle to reconcile unbounded interaction streams with finite context constraints, often succumbing to memory noise accumulation, reasoning degradation, and persona inconsistency. To address these challenges, this paper proposes Inside Out, a framework that utilizes a globally maintained PersonaTree as the carrier of long-term user profiling. By constraining the trunk with an initial schema and updating the branches and leaves, PersonaTree enables controllable growth, achieving memory compression while preserving consistency. Moreover, we train a lightweight MemListener via reinforcement learning with process-based rewards to produce structured, executable, and interpretable ADD, UPDATE, DELETE, NO_OP operations, thereby supporting the dynamic evolution of the personalized tree. During response generation, PersonaTree is directly leveraged to enhance outputs in latency-sensitive scenarios; when users require more details, the agentic mode is triggered to introduce details on-demand under the constraints of the PersonaTree. Experiments show that PersonaTree outperforms full-text concatenation and various personalized memory systems in suppressing contextual noise and maintaining persona consistency. Notably, the small MemListener model achieves memory-operation decision performance comparable to, or even surpassing, powerful reasoning models such as DeepSeek-R1-0528 and Gemini-3-Pro.
