Large language models (LLMs) are widely used for information access, content production, and agent-based task execution, but their outputs remain vulnerable to subtle, high-risk hallucinations. To systematically evaluate and advance post-generation hallucination detection, we introduce HaluCheck, a large-scale, bilingual benchmark comprising over 42k instances spanning both factual hallucinations in text and faithfulness hallucinations in agent trajectories. HaluCheck features fine-grained, multi-level annotations for detection, localization, and correction, covering different tasks and perturbation degrees. Experiments on fourteen LLMs reveal that, while models show basic sample-level detection ability, they struggle with fine-grained localization, correction, and agent hallucination detection. Further analysis demonstrates that thinking, web search, and supervised fine-tuning each offer partial improvements, but none fully solve the problem. HaluCheck thus provides a solid basis for benchmarking and diagnosing LLM reliability across text and agent scenarios.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) captures rich spatiotemporal information about ventricular structure and motion, but conventional risk models use only a few image-derived indices from selected cardiac phases. We present a latent dynamical model that encodes bi-ventricular anatomy and full-cycle cine motion as a continuous latent trajectory, using heart-rate-aware neural ordinary differential equation (ODE) dynamics and a graph-based mesh autoencoder to reconstruct anatomically consistent 3D+t ventricular motion. A covariate-conditioned prior defines the expected end-diastolic latent state, and a Cox proportional hazards model tests whether deviations from this prior predict incident heart failure. We studied 72,386 UK Biobank participants without baseline cardiovascular disease, including 367 incident heart failure events. In a held-out evaluation subset, adding the latent score to refitted pooled cohort equations improved the stratified C-index from 0.704 to 0.785, compared with 0.764 for seven established cardiac markers. Compared with non-graph and non-ODE approaches, the proposed model gave the best trade-off between reconstruction fidelity, generative realism, and downstream prognostic performance. These results suggest that continuous full-cycle modeling of ventricular motion provides informative cardiac phenotypes beyond conventional CMR summaries, while external validation in more representative patient cohorts is required before clinical risk-prediction use.

Large language models have made rapid progress in agentic reasoning and tool use, raising expectations for agents that can take over realistic productivity work from humans. However, current agents still struggle to finish such tasks, where success requires following long-horizon professional workflows, understanding heterogeneous file contexts, and producing usable deliverables under fine-grained requirements. A key bottleneck is the lack of scalable post-training data that reflects real work intent, authentic file environments, and deliverable-level evaluation. To close this gap, we introduce Agent-R$^2$, a $\textbf{r}$eal-source data synthesis framework that scales training data for $\textbf{r}$ealistic productivity work. Instead of relying on manually specified workflows or LLM-generated files, Agent-R$^2$ grounds synthesis throughout the pipeline in real occupational seeds, corpus-derived workflow evidence, and authentic web-sourced files. From 10k web-corpus candidates, Agent-R$^2$ distills 4k task instances that pair real multi-format attachments with fine-grained, deliverable-level rubrics. On this data, we train Agent-R$^2$-4B via supervised fine-tuning and rubric-based reinforcement learning, improving both end-to-end productivity performance and file-grounded reasoning. Trained on only 4k instances, Agent-R$^2$-4B surpasses Qwen3-235B-A22B-Thinking-2507 on both GDPval (51.0$\%$ vs. 48.0$\%$) and OfficeQA (14.8$\%$ vs. 13.8$\%$). Further analysis shows that Agent-R$^2$ mitigates shortcut behavior, where agents produce superficially plausible deliverables before sufficiently grounding, constructing, or verifying them, while promoting sustained exploration.

Multi-modal large language models (MLLMs) with impressive perception and understanding capabilities will enable a range of downstream applications. However, their substantial computational and memory requirements hinder the real-world implementation, particularly for resource-constrained edge devices. Quantization has emerged as an effective solution for deploying large models. While post-training quantization (PTQ) successfully retains the performance at moderate bit-width (e.g., W8A8), it suffers from severe performance degradation under low-bit quantization (e.g., W4A8), especially for small-scale models that are more suitable for edge deployment. In this paper, we propose ProQuant, a novel weight-activation quantization-aware training (QAT) framework tailored for low-bit MLLMs. First, to align the limited finetuning dataset distribution with the pretrained dataset distribution, we propose a self-relabeling (SRL) scheme to resample the responses of the open-source multimodal dataset. Second, we are the first to take a decoupled view of multi-modal (MM) understanding and language modeling abilities. We propose a progressive block activation (PBA) mechanism to prioritize the MM understanding recovery. We also introduce a vision-sensitive factor $\vecτ$ that effectively identifies the MM-critical layers. Extensive experiments across various benchmarks, covering models with 2B-8B parameters, show that ProQuant significantly outperforms existing methods. For example, our W4A8 Qwen3-VL-2B-Instruct improves average accuracy by impressively 6.6% and achieves performance comparable to full precision counterparts with only approximately 1% performance drop. Writers hold intents at many levels, from overarching goals to concrete wording, and evolve them by periodically popping back up from the text to higher-level intents. Generative AI co-writing disrupts this practice. Dense drafts capture attention and trap writers in local editing; higher-level intents stall while lower-level ones drift from them unnoticed, a breakdown we term intent incoherence. Our formative study traced this breakdown from attention capture through silent drift to failed reconciliation. We present IntentWeaver, which supports intent evolution while sustaining coherence in human-AI co-writing. It derives an intent hierarchy from the draft and writer interactions, evaluates each intent's fulfillment and cross-level coherence at every change, and propagates consequences across intent levels. In a within-subjects study (N=24) against a baseline, participants using IntentWeaver revisited and evolved higher-level intents more often, with fewer unnoticed deviations, and produced texts better realizing them. We further discuss design implications for emergent intents.

Person identification from millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar point clouds has primarily focused on gait. However, since indoor walking is typically brief and fragmented, gait-based identification is largely constrained to designated passages that support continuous walking. Meanwhile, non-gait activities of daily living (ADLs) are pervasive and also encode discriminative personal signatures. In this study, we evaluate the feasibility of ADL-based identification from sparse mmWave point clouds using mm-ADL, a dataset comprising seven core ADLs collected from 11 subjects under controlled protocols. Moving beyond uniform gait introduces significant activity-dependent variations that confound identity representations. To address this challenge, we systematically benchmark three activity-identity learning paradigms: monolithic learning, joint multi-task learning, and two-stage activity-conditioned routing, under both closed-set identification (ID) and subject-disjoint re-identification (ReID) biometric settings. In parallel, we propose Dual-Stream Static-Dynamic PointNet (DS-SDPNet), an architecture tailored to radar point clouds that captures complementary spatial morphology and motion dynamics. Across seven ADLs, DS-SDPNet achieves 70.2% mean closed-set identification accuracy and outperforms existing baselines on both mm-ADL and mmGait. Moreover, benchmarking the three paradigms without ground-truth activity labels during inference yields up to 68.0% closed-set accuracy and 75.4% ReID mAP, providing a systematic baseline and confirming the feasibility of point-cloud-based biometric identification across diverse daily activities.

Scammers have increasingly adopted AI-driven capabilities, evolving from automated message generation to fully agentic conversational systems that scale operations and maximize the exploitation of fraudulent resources before detection and takedown. In parallel, agentic scambaiting has emerged as a defensive approach in which autonomous agents impersonate potential victims and engage scammers in sustained interactions to extract actionable threat intelligence, such as mule bank accounts and cryptocurrency wallet addresses, that can be reported to disrupt fraudulent infrastructures. Together, these developments transform online fraud into an adversarial socio-technical ecosystem in which autonomous scamming and scambaiting agents engage in deceptive interactions while competing over the discovery, preservation, and exploitation of one another's resources. A fundamental and largely unexplored question is how defensive scambaiting can remain effective in an agent-to-agent environment, and under what conditions either side gains a strategic advantage. In this paper, we present a formal model of agent-to-agent fraud interactions that captures the strategic decision spaces available to both attackers and defenders. Using this framework, we analyze the dynamics of engagement, resource consumption, belief adaptation, and disruption outcomes. We find that scammer profitability turns negative once baiting-agent prevalence exceeds certain thresholds, and that when both sides improve at the same pace, defender investment in mimicry quality outpaces equivalent gains in scammer detection capability, so the arms race favors the defender under our baseline parameters. Our model and findings provide insights into the stability, scalability, and long-term effectiveness of autonomous defensive agents in an evolving AI-mediated fraud landscape.

LLM service selection requires performance evidence that reflects the demands of the current task. Aggregate scores obscure differences in capability and difficulty, while semantically related examples can involve different combinations of skills. We present RouteAlign, which uses task requirements to structure both the measurement of model performance and the selection of services. Task requirements describe capability demand and difficulty, enabling alignment with corresponding model performance measurements. Historical requirements determine how outcomes contribute to global profiles and local capability estimates; incoming requirements determine how those measurements inform the current decision. A shared scorer integrates the evidence, and a generation-cost preference controls selection among eligible services. Evaluation across diverse tasks and heterogeneous LLM services shows that RouteAlign extends the empirical quality-cost frontier toward higher task quality. Comparisons with open Jev-style decision backends show consistent quality gains, with lower generation cost than their strongest tested configuration. Ablations support the contribution of local performance evidence, while catalog-update experiments demonstrate effective reuse of the fitted scorer with refreshed model measurements.

Attention-based time series forecasters commonly group consecutive observations into patches. Patch length is known to have a substantial impact on forecasting performance, yet its selection remains largely empirical. We develop a theoretical framework that explains why patch length matters for forecasting accuracy and provides a principled basis for its selection. For linear state-space models, we derive an exact factorization of the forecasting coefficient matrix that separates forecast dynamics from filtering dynamics. We show that dominance of a single forecast component at long horizons does not generally imply a rank-one representation. This explains why longer horizons alone need not reduce representational complexity. We combine the factorization with estimation bounds to develop a patch-selection criterion that balances representation and estimation errors under temporal dependence. Our analysis establishes conditions under which balanced patching is justified and clarifies how predictive structure, head count, training sample size, and long-run dependence enter the selection criterion.

Recent Hypergraph-based retrieval-augmented generation (HyperRAG) methods use hyper edges to connect multiple entities simultaneously, enabling more efficient multi-entity evidence organization than pairwise graph structures. However, existing HyperRAG methods often rely on LLM-generated summaries to construct hyperedges, which can introduce hallucinations while also incurring high indexing costs. In addition, during retrieval, existing methods typically rely on either one-hop neighbor expansion or PageRank diffusion. The former may miss useful multi-hop evidence, while the latter can suffer from uncontrolled propagation over excessive hub nodes, leading to semantic drift and noisy reasoning chains. To address these challenges, we propose HyperSU, a novel hypergraph-based RAG framework featuring semantic-unit hyperedges and clue guided bidirectional retrieval. During construction, HyperSU formulates hyperedge construction as an entity-aware minimum-description length (MDL) optimization problem, inducing source-grounded semantic-unit hyperedges that balance sentence-level semantic coherence and entity compactness. It then constructs a hypergraph by modeling each semantic unit as a hyperedge over its co-mentioned entities. During retrieval, HyperSU performs clue-guided bidirectional expansion over the semantic-unit hypergraph, enabling both multi-hop evidence discovery and evidence-anchored noise reduction. Experiments show that HyperSU consistently improves answer accuracy over standard, graph-based, and hypergraph-based RAG baselines, raising average accuracy on GraphRAG Bench by 5.5 points over the strongest baseline (68.7 vs. 63.2), with larger gains on reasoning intensive tasks, where the relative improvement reaches 14.1%.

Robot reinforcement learning increasingly runs environments outside the trainer: in another process, on another machine, in another language. Many faults at this boundary raise no error. We make the boundary a wire protocol and ask what notices a fault in it. On Pendulum, HalfCheetah, Hopper and a 7-joint arm (Pusher), we injected up to 23 faults into what crosses the wire and 2 into the trainer's log, from one value to every value. Unless every value was wrong, a learning-curve threshold caught at most one run in ten, and a comparison with ten fault-free seeds at most 21%. A clean evaluation of all 1,060 final policies agreed with the curves: of the 728 boundary-fault runs both curve checks passed, 723 scored no more than three standard deviations below fault-free seeds, though nearly all ended on other weights and, for reward faults, logged other returns. Checks of the run itself, not of its outcome, saw every fault. A step ledger kept on both sides and compared step by step caught and located every fault that crossed, on Pendulum, Hopper and Pusher on one machine and on Pendulum across two, with no fault-free run and, on Pendulum, a median 3% more training time. An episode record kept at the environment caught the faults in the trainer's log. We list such faults found in practice, in Gymnasium 1.3 and our own code and, reported by others, in five multi-agent libraries, and recommend a step ledger and episode counts kept at the environment.

查看原文摘要

Production deployments often use different models to balance cost and quality through cascading, routing, and switching models during long conversations. Context accumulates across turns. Each switch requires the target to repeat prefill over this context. Existing methods transfer full-attention (FA) K/V caches across models. Hybrid linear-attention models also retain recurrent states (REC) and convolution histories (Conv). The interaction between Conv and REC complicates cross-model state transfer. Conv perturbations can change keys and values in recurrent layers and alter REC updates. Conv histories are overwritten, but changes in REC can still affect later outputs. More accurate REC reconstruction need not improve continuation. Building on this, we propose Hybrid State Transfer (HST) for all three state types. It uses structured REC maps and preserves history order during Conv alignment. We calibrate the adapters using the frozen target's outputs during continuation. FA cache map updates are merged offline. Across five benchmarks, Qwen3.5 4B$\rightarrow$27B and 9B$\rightarrow$27B achieve mean task retentions of 89.88% and 94.11%, respectively. With source caches already available, separate timing on synthetic 16K inputs yields handoff body speedups of $21.66\times$ and $21.91\times$.

LLM routing aims to reduce inference costs by assigning easy queries to less expensive models and reserving stronger models for cases in which they are needed. However, we find that existing routers often violate this principle under loose cost budgets: as the budget increases, they increasingly select the strongest and most expensive model even when less expensive feasible candidates provide comparable or identical utility. We refer to this behavior as strong-model over-selection under loose budgets. Our analysis shows that ambiguity alone does not explain this phenomenon. Substantial overpayment can arise when differently priced models offer equivalent or near-equivalent utility and the router retains a persistent model-level preference for costly models; budget relaxation exposes this preference by making premium candidates feasible. Motivated by this diagnosis, we propose EquiRouter, a decision-aligned router that learns query-dependent model rankings, preserves meaningful utility differences, and explicitly prefers lower-cost models among equivalent candidates through a Cost-Aware Ranking Objective and a lightweight Query--Model Interaction Representation. Experiments across diverse text, multimodal, continuous-utility, and large-model-pool settings show that EquiRouter consistently improves cost efficiency while maintaining competitive peak and whole-curve performance. Large language models are classically trained in stages: pretraining on raw text followed by post-training for instruction following and reasoning. However, this separation creates a fundamental limitation: many desirable behaviors such as safety, factuality, overall generation quality, and reasoning ability are only added at a late stage, even though the patterns learned earlier strongly shape a model's capabilities. To tackle this issue, we introduce a new way to pretrain and mid-train models that incorporates these behaviors earlier. We utilize an existing strong, post-trained model to both rewrite data and to judge policy model rollouts, thus introducing thinking and reinforcement earlier in training. We further improve reasoning at all stages by introducing the concept of self-improving post-thinking: improving the model's reasoning and self-judging ability by reasoning after generation. In our experiments, we show these approaches can give strong gains across multiple axes.

World-action models (WAMs) jointly model future traffic states and driving actions for end-to-end autonomous driving in intelligent transportation systems. However, their action learning remains dominated by expert-trajectory imitation, leaving unsafe alternatives close to expert trajectories insufficiently constrained. To improve WAM robustness in safety-critical scenarios, we propose NegWAM, a safety post-training framework for unified WAMs that learns explicit safety boundaries from near-expert failure trajectories. NegWAM constructs negative trajectories that are geometrically close to the expert trajectory yet carry safety risks, uses them as repulsive anchors to steer predictions away from dangerous behavior, and encodes them as scene-conditioned rider tokens to learn scene--trajectory compatibility. During training, NegWAM jointly optimizes the flow-matching and near-expert negative objectives, while the auxiliary rider branch is discarded at inference, incurring no additional overhead. On NAVSIM v2, NegWAM achieves 40.4 EPDMS on navhard, a 4.1% relative improvement over the strongest compared scorer-free WAM baseline, and achieves 93.3 EPDMS on navtest. These results demonstrate that NegWAM achieves strong performance in safety-critical scenarios while preserving routine-driving performance. Zero-shot closed-loop evaluation on HUGSIM further demonstrates cross-benchmark generalization. The code is available at https://github.com/Zizizi-hao/NegWAM.

Humanoid rigging for modern characters with complex garments remains challenging due to the need for dense auxiliary skeletons and precise skinning control. Existing automatic methods primarily recover rigs from geometry, providing limited artist control over auxiliary articulation and often lacking explicit semantic or kinematic-chain structure for dense garment bones, leading to instability and weight bleeding. We present TailorRig, a framework that reformulates garment-aware humanoid rigging as a structured, controllable full-rig generation problem. This formulation shifts the goal from automatic rig recovery to artist-driven rig authoring, where both body-template compatibility and auxiliary articulation are explicit design choices. TailorRig exposes two explicit axes of artist control within a unified framework: a user-specified body skeleton template that preserves body-rig compatibility, and artist-provided semantic labels that drive an autoregressive generator to synthesize requested category-specific auxiliary bone chains. To robustly assign skinning weights under dense skeletal configurations, we further introduce a hierarchical chain-to-bone formulation: vertices are first associated to a kinematic chain, and bone weights are then refined within that chain, reducing weight bleeding between spatially adjacent but semantically unrelated structures. We evaluate TailorRig on a diverse set of characters and introduce Human-Mix, a large-scale dataset of over 38,000 humanoid models curated for garment-aware rigging. Experiments show that TailorRig improves skeleton accuracy, deformation stability, controllability, and practical usability over existing methods. High scores on public data-cleaning benchmarks can reflect knowledge of familiar entities, making it difficult to assess how well an LLM repairs unfamiliar data. We present CoRE (Cleaning or Recalling), a protocol comparing public benchmarks with fresh real records and paired name surrogates built from English words or syllables. The surrogates retain error positions and non-identity values while transferring the benchmark's error mechanisms. Across 21 controlled tables and eight LLMs, repair performance varies substantially with entity names on Hospital and, for commercial models, Movies. Renaming removes some information needed for repair, such as a film's identifier mapping. It also affects repairs whose candidates remain available: replacing entity names with word-based surrogates lowers DeepSeek-V4-Pro's year accuracy from 91% to 18%. On Hospital and Movies, commercial models score higher on fresh records than on word-based surrogates. A screened continuation probe finds no positive evidence of benchmark-row memory in the tested models. Familiar facts can conflict with the task. Even with explicit table-evidence instructions, commercial models rewrite assigned directors at rates of 0.000-0.404 on known films. Reference scoring can also disagree with external records. On Rayyan, an ISSN correction matching a title-matched PubMed record receives no credit, whereas 94% of TabClean's credited repairs reproduce the reference date transformation. We provide controlled tables, scoring code and materials for offline replay.

Video compression at ultra-low bitrates remains challenging due to the loss of perceptually important details under limited bit budgets. Recent generative video compression methods leverage pretrained video priors to improve perceptual quality and temporal coherence, but many follow a compress-then-generate paradigm, where generative priors are primarily exploited during reconstruction. Moreover, representations learned for generation and reconstruction are not inherently optimized for entropy coding. In this work, we propose \method, which adapts pretrained video representations into compression-oriented representations while preserving their reconstruction capability. Specifically, we adapt the pretrained causal video VAE of MiniMax-H3 into a discrete video tokenizer and develop a small autoregressive entropy model that captures local and global token dependencies, with grouped prediction for parallel decoding. To further improve coding efficiency, we jointly optimize the tokenizer and entropy model using a differentiable rate surrogate, allowing rate gradients to adapt token assignments toward lower coding costs while preserving reconstruction quality. Experiments on UVG, MCL-JCV, and HEVC Class B demonstrate superior perceptual rate--distortion performance, achieving BD-LPIPS savings of 82.2\%--87.5\% and BD-DISTS savings of 78.3\%--85.0\% relative to GLC-Video.

For perceptive humanoid locomotion, the relevance of terrain geometry depends on the robot's body state and how both evolve under its actions. Existing work has advanced terrain-aware sensory fusion and cross-modal prediction, improving how visual and proprioceptive information is combined and related. However, feature aggregation alone does not specify which cross-modal relationships should be learned, while prediction between simultaneous observations does not explicitly constrain their action-dependent evolution. We present Spatiotemporal Training with Explicit Prediction (STEP), a one-stage framework that jointly supervises cross-modal relationships and action-dependent state evolution within a shared control representation. Multiple learned queries aggregate depth and proprioceptive tokens into a compact policy state. Bidirectional masked prediction uses each visible modality to predict latent features of the omitted modality, explicitly supervising terrain-body relationships. An action-conditioned predictor maps the current policy state and executed action to the next fused state, with an exponential-moving-average target defined directly in the policy representation space. Simulation comparisons show overall improvements in terrain traversal over evaluated fusion alternatives and ablations, while depth-dropout and delay experiments demonstrate the benefits of both predictive objectives under degraded visual input. Deployed on a 23-DoF Noetix E1 humanoid with onboard sensing, STEP succeeds in 98 of 100 hardware trials across stairs, a 40\,cm platform, a 70\,cm gap, stepping stones, and backward stair traversal without rearward terrain visibility.

原文摘要

In large-scale payment networks, entities (card, merchant, etc.) and their interactions play a key role in transaction anomaly detection. However, transaction patterns between different entities usually change more frequently than the production model refresh schedule. Meanwhile, entity embedding tables suffer from high-cardinality and sparse interaction issues. To resolve the above challenges, we present PersonaAgent, an agentic transaction anomaly detection framework which represents the latest entity behavior signals as personas and saves them in a refreshable memory. Offline, a weekly scheduled batch job is used to extract the latest behavior signals and update them in the memory. At inference time, a lightweight adapter retrieves the corresponding entity behavior signals of each transaction from memory and uses them to augment the base anomaly classifier's scoring. Through comprehensive benchmarking with different anomaly detection models at Visa, PersonaAgent is able to score transactions efficiently (a 1,000-transaction CPU batch in 1-2 ms), lifting the PR-AUC by 0.65-6.58% and the production business metric by 8.93-14.24% relatively in deployment.

Gabor Gabor: E-Gaborformer, a Strictly Causal Speech Recognizer with Gabor-Dictionary Convolutions and Delta-Rule Memory

Nir Krakowski, Tamir Cohen, Ohad Zohar, Chen Zarfati

原文摘要

Real-time voice agents need a speech recognizer that never waits for future audio and whose memory per call does not grow with the length of the call. We present E-Gaborformer, a strictly causal encoder that combines Gated DeltaNet-2 recurrent layers with sliding-window attention in a 3:1 ratio, and builds every temporal convolution from a fixed dictionary of causal Gabor atoms. Its streaming state is constant, about 19 MB per call at production scale including the prediction network, where a causal-attention encoder of the same size accumulates over 1 GB after ten minutes. In a controlled causal study on LibriSpeech, E-Gaborformer leaves the initial plateau earlier, reaches a given accuracy up to 18% sooner, and matches or beats an E-Branchformer trained with the identical front end and recipe. At production scale, a 0.6B-parameter Hebrew and English streaming transducer built on E-Gaborformer has 28 to 31% lower word error rate (WER) than NVIDIA's Nemotron 3.5 ASR Streaming, a model of the same size, on English voice-agent traffic, and up to 20% lower Hebrew WER than our previous production system. The same weights serve strictly causal and 480 ms-lookahead decoding with no loss in accuracy, and a two-class formulation of the RNN-T lattice trains the transducer 2.6x faster with exact loss and gradients.

Less is More: Compact-Token Masked Feature Prediction for Skeleton Representation Learning

Jeonghyeok Do, Yun Chen, Geunhyuk Youk, Munchurl Kim

原文摘要

Current skeleton representation learning paradigms face distinct limitations: Contrastive Learning (CL) often overlooks fine-grained motion details, while Masked Auto-Encoders (MAE) rely on coordinate-level reconstruction. This reconstruction inherently demands dense token sequences and heavy decoders, wasting pre-training computation on discarded components and forcing downstream inference to process dense token grids. To resolve these bottlenecks, we propose SLiM (Skeleton Less is More), a compact-token framework that unifies masked feature prediction and contrastive learning via a shared encoder. By shifting the objective from raw coordinate reconstruction to decoder-free, teacher-guided feature prediction, SLiM breaks the reliance on dense tokenization and enables effective learning with a highly compact token grid. Crucially, to prevent trivial shortcut learning arising from strong inter-joint dependencies of human, we introduce Semantic Tube Masking together with Skeleton-Aware Augmentations to enforce deep skeletal-temporal reasoning and anatomical consistency. Extensive experiments across multiple downstream protocols demonstrate that SLiM achieves state-of-the-art performance while structurally reducing inference computation by 7.89$\times$ compared to dense-token MAE baselines.

Spatiotemporal Dynamics-Aware Industrial Anomaly Detection and Reasoning

S-Wei Chen, Siangyu Yang, Yi-Chen Jan, Chun-Yi Lee, Shao-Yuan Lo

原文摘要

Industrial Anomaly Detection (IAD) is a long-established problem that aims to detect defects in industrial products during manufacturing for quality control. Most existing studies focus on static visual patterns as the basis for detection. However, in real manufacturing environments, many anomalies are dynamics-based, such as irregular movements that cannot be perceived from static cues alone. We observe that even recent Multimodal Large Language Model (MLLM)-based approaches fall short in identifying such dynamic anomalies due to limited temporal modeling capability. To address this, we introduce MUSTARD: MUltimodal SpatioTemporal Anomaly Reasoning and Detection, a framework that equips MLLMs with fine-grained spatiotemporal dynamics awareness for detecting and reasoning about dynamics-based defects. MUSTARD introduces optical-flow-guided keyframe selection and augmented modalities to capture critical motion irregularities through local motion patterns and global dynamic evolution. Its normal pattern-based reasoning pipeline requires only a few normal reference samples as the detection basis, avoiding any model updates. This enables efficient adaptation across various products and provides high decision interpretability. MUSTARD is the first MLLM-based framework for dynamics-based IAD. Experiments demonstrate its superior performance in detecting spatiotemporal anomalies and providing plausible explanations. The code will be made publicly available.

Executable but Unfaithful: Mock Object, Stub, and Assertion Generation by LLMs and Coding Agents

原文摘要

Mocking is a foundational practice in unit testing, enabling developers to isolate the code under test by replacing real dependencies with simulated alternatives. Automating the generation of mock objects, stubs, and mock assertions has been a long-standing research goal. However, capture-and-replay approaches rely on recording the runtime behavior of actual dependencies. Evolutionary approaches such as StubCoder overcome this requirement but constrain generation to predefined symbol pools. Large language models (LLMs) and coding agents offer an alternative by generating mocking artifacts from source code without requiring recorded dependency executions or fixed symbol pools. Yet, no systematic study has evaluated their capabilities across all three artifact types. To address this gap, we construct MockBench, a benchmark comprising 165 mock artifact generation tasks from real-world Java and Python projects, with validated reference mock objects, stubs, and mock assertions. We evaluate six LLMs and three coding agents in terms of executability, behavior fidelity, and interaction-fault detection capability, complemented by comparisons with existing tools and sensitivity analysis. Experimental results show that LLMs and coding agents indeed have been the state-of-the-art techniques in mock-based testing. More specifically, compared with LLMs, coding agents substantially improve executability, while these gains do not consistently translate into higher behavior fidelity or better interaction-fault detection. Furthermore, we analyze 660 failures from LLMs and coding agents, and identify ten error types across the three artifact categories, revealing behavioral deviations that passing tests can conceal. Our findings highlight the challenges of mock artifact generation and provide practical guidance for both developers and researchers.

Differencing the Diffusion Trajectory toward Uncertain Components for Time Series Forecasting

Chen Su, Yuanhe Tian, Yan Song

原文摘要

Diffusion models have become a widely used framework for probabilistic time series forecasting, modeling the distribution of future values given an observed history. In time series forecasting, however, the future continues the observed history, creating an asymmetry the standard diffusion process leaves unaddressed, with slowly-varying content largely determined by the observed continuity while higher-frequency dynamics carry most of the residual uncertainty. Existing diffusion-based forecasters decouple this asymmetry through an external rule before generation, leaving the corruption trajectory blind to which parts of the target the history can already anchor. We propose DiffDiff, a diffusion framework that embeds this predictability asymmetry into the diffusion trajectory itself, so that a single end-to-end diffusion process becomes aware of which parts of the target the history can already anchor. DiffDiff makes the forward operator step-dependent so that the noisy intermediate state progressively shifts from the target itself toward its second-order differenced structure, while a conditioning pathway supplies the denoiser with both value-domain and differential history information balanced by a stage-adaptive gate at each diffusion step. The terminal distribution approaches a standard Gaussian, preserving compatibility with existing samplers. On seven benchmarks across four prediction horizons, DiffDiff outperforms six diffusion baselines, while our analyses show that its trajectory reallocates modeling effort according to history predictability and improves distributional fidelity.

Reward Engine: Reward-Centric Self-Evolution for Open-Ended Tool Agents

Litong Feng, Ji Qi, Yiran Cheng, Shaowu Pan, Xinyu Zhang, Qijun Li

原文摘要

Open-ended tool agents can complete the same objective through different tool paths, and their quality depends jointly on the interaction trace, environment state, and final artifacts, so such tasks rarely admit an executable ground-truth reward. The central challenge is therefore to construct a reward from existing experience that exposes the current policy's failures while remaining stationary during optimization. We introduce Reward Engine, which, like a self-motivated student, first works out what success requires and then optimizes toward it. From the task and initial trajectories, it builds a RewardPack of testcases for required correctness and rubrics for graded quality, each executed as a check that returns a judgment with evidence. The frozen RewardPack then guides the agent to revise and select its outputs, and can also serve as a reward for reinforcement learning. On WorkBuddy Bench Office and Claw-Eval, the constructed reward largely agrees with the benchmark graders, not reversing their ordering on 82.3\% and 80.5\% of candidate pairs. Used to revise executions, it raises three-run consistency ($\mathrm{Pass}^{3}$) over Baseline from 45.0\% to 54.0\% and from 78.4\% to 83.7\%.

Terrain-Indexed Motion Priors and Geometric Support for Extreme Humanoid Parkour

Chenghao Sun, Youhao Lyu, Zizheng Li, Shuting Zhang, Ziyang Dong, Wenhao Cui

原文摘要

We present a progressive imitation framework that learns terrain-appropriate humanoid parkour skills and subsequently adapts their hand--knee support. Human demonstrations provide traversal behaviors, but their contact patterns need not suit a robot's proportions or the available support surfaces. Our framework changes the role of demonstrations across three stages: privileged imitation produces physically executable robot references; terrain-indexed adversarial motion priors guide skill acquisition; and geometric support guidance with a reduced motion-prior weight enables contact adaptation. Candidate-based precontact attraction and actual-contact evaluation guide support without prescribing a contact sequence. The deployed policy selects behaviors from onboard depth, proprioception, and velocity commands without an external skill label. On the Noetix E1, the policy achieves 96.34\% hybrid success in simulation and transfers without real-world policy fine-tuning, completing 29 of 30 individual obstacle trials and four of five hybrid courses. Support-adaptation ablations show higher traversal success for the complete adaptation stage on the tested terrains, while qualitative observations show changes in contact placement. These results support acquiring skills from demonstrations before relaxing their influence to accommodate robot-specific support configurations.

Gaussian Light Field Splatting: A Physical Prior-Driven Vision Transformer for Low-Light Image Enhancement

原文摘要

Existing low-light image enhancement methods often suffer from local exposure imbalance and color distortion under complex, non-uniform illumination, while mainstream Vision Transformers lack explicit modeling of physics-based priors for illumination degradation. To address these limitations, we propose GLFS, a Gaussian Light Field Splatting-based Vision Transformer that incorporates continuous light-field priors from 2D Gaussian Splatting (2DGS) as an explicit physical bias into the Transformer self-attention mechanism to guide spatial gain estimation under complex non-uniform illumination. Specifically, GLFS represents scene illumination as a superposition of anisotropic Gaussian basis functions and introduces a physics-informed bias into the self-attention mechanism to adaptively infer a spatial gain field, enabling accurate and spatially uniform restoration under complex illumination conditions. To mitigate color shifts and structural degradation during enhancement, we further introduce a color vector angular loss and a luminance edge loss, with the former enforcing hue consistency and the latter improving the structural fidelity of local details. Extensive ablation studies and quantitative evaluations demonstrate that GLFS achieves competitive overall performance in illumination correction, structure preservation, and perceptual quality, validating the effectiveness of the continuous Gaussian light field prior for low-light image enhancement.

Large Language Models for Multi-Lingual Equivalent Mutant Detection: An Extended Empirical Study

原文摘要

Mutation testing is a powerful technique for ensuring software quality. However, the presence of equivalent mutants introduces unnecessary costs and biases, limiting its practical effectiveness. Although numerous equivalent mutant detection (EMD) methods have been proposed, they often face distinct challenges: pure-code analysis methods can be limited by their reliance on specific compiler infrastructures, while existing machine-learning approaches remain constrained by scarce training data and limited generalization to unseen mutants. Large language models (LLMs) have recently demonstrated remarkable performance across diverse code-related tasks by better capturing program semantics. Yet their potential for EMD remains largely unexplored, particularly in the multi-lingual context. This paper presents the first comprehensive empirical study on LLMs for EMD, using 3,302 Java and 1,088 C mutant pairs to benchmark against state-of-the-art methods, explore strategy variations, assess efficiency, and evaluate cross-lingual generalization. Experimental results show that LLM-based approaches achieve higher F1-scores than the evaluated traditional methods, with fine-tuned code embedding yielding the highest detection accuracy among the tested strategies. Moreover, LLM-based approaches strike a practical balance between effectiveness and efficiency with inference times comparable to existing machine-learning models. Importantly, fine-tuned LLMs demonstrate measurable generalization across programming languages. These findings establish LLMs as a viable and efficient approach for tackling the longstanding challenge of equivalent mutant detection, offering new directions for advancing mutation testing in practice.

AnyDexRT: Calibration-Efficient Dexterous Hand Retargeting with Few-Shot Human Guidance

Chenxi Wang, Ying Feng, Hongjie Fang, Shangning Xia, Lixin Yang, Chuan Wen, Cewu Lu

原文摘要

Teleoperation is a key interface for controlling dexterous robotic hands and collecting demonstrations for imitation learning. Its effectiveness largely depends on kinematic retargeting, which maps operator hand motions to feasible and intuitive robot hand motions. Existing methods often require hand-crafted objectives, precise calibration, or global shape matching between human and robot hand spaces, making them sensitive to hand-specific tuning and less reliable across different dexterous hands. We propose AnyDexRT, a calibration-efficient retargeting method for intuitive dexterous teleoperation across human-like dexterous hands. AnyDexRT combines self-supervised fingertip correspondence learning with few-shot human guidance to anchor the mapping in task-relevant regions, and further refines pinch-related poses using a contact classifier. Experiments on diverse dexterous hands and real-world teleoperation tasks show that AnyDexRT improves retargeting quality, reduces manual tuning, and provides more intuitive and efficient control than prior retargeting methods.
