ReactWorld: Structuring Interaction Responses for Embodied Video Generation

Hanwei Liu, Huijia Zhang, Hanzhang Wang, Guangyu Liu, Hanbei Zhan, Linjie Hu, Bin Xiao, Xuan Zhou 等 9 位作者

Embodied video world models predict scene changes caused by robot actions, yet generated object responses may remain inconsistent with task intent and contact dynamics. Critical responses in embodied scenes often concentrate in local regions and specific time intervals. Inspired by chain-of-thought reasoning, we introduce ReactWorld, an embodied video generation model guided by structured interaction anticipation. In the generation backbone's feature space, an interaction response field predictor anticipates how the interaction will unfold, explicitly describing participant roles, future motion response intensity, and local motion changes. A response feedback adapter forms increments to object features from the difference between the object branch's outputs with predicted and zeroed local dynamics inputs. It also converts predicted displacements into positional biases for temporal attention. These two mechanisms guide object feature updates and information retrieval across frames, respectively. Through interaction anticipation and generative feedback, ReactWorld achieves an average score of 77.51 on RBench, outperforming PhysisForcing by 3.29 points with improvements in all nine categories. On EZS-Bench, it achieves a Domain score of 86.98 and an average score of 81.87.

Beyond Risk Cues: A Mechanism-Level Benchmark and Verifiable Debate for Scam Video Detection on the Web

Yifan Wang, Junyu Lu, Shun Zhang, Chaozhuo Li, Fanliang Bu, Rong Yin, Lingbin Bu, Changrong Min 等 9 位作者

Online scam videos pose significant threats to individuals and society. Existing studies primarily focus on binary classification, offering limited insights into how scams work and the reasoning behind detection decisions. Moreover, they often overlook the challenge of distinguishing scam videos from superficially similar non-scam content, such as advertisements, and the robustness of detection models against misleading arguments. These limitations hinder reliable scam video detection. To address these limitations, we introduce MechScam, a benchmark comprising 6,614 videos covering diverse scam mechanisms and non-scam categories. MechScam provides explanations supported by video evidence, annotations of potential scam elements and their context, and misleading arguments constructed from genuine evidence. Recognizing that genuine evidence can still be used to justify misleading conclusions, we further propose ScamCourt, a debate framework in which trained prosecution and defense debaters present opposing arguments, while a trained judge makes decisions based on a transcript with verified citations. Extensive experiments show that state-of-the-art MLLMs struggle to distinguish scam videos from similar non-scam content. ScamCourt outperforms larger MLLMs and same-backbone fine-tuned baselines, reducing false positives and showing stronger resistance to misleading arguments. Together, MechScam and ScamCourt contribute to more reliable and interpretable scam video detection. The dataset and code are available at https://github.com/SuperYFan/MechScam.

SenTrojan: Revealing Analog Hardware Trojan Attacks on Sensors

Kun Wang, Ruochen Zhou, Wenjun Zhu, Shilin Xiao, Kai Wang, Chen Yan, Xiaoyu Ji, Wenyuan Xu

Sensors bridge the physical and digital worlds, making their integrity critical to cyber-physical system security. Existing sensor attacks largely exploit unintended and sensor-specific physical vulnerabilities, limiting their generalizability and motivating a different threat model, i.e., whether an adversary can implant hidden attack surfaces into sensors before deployment. In this paper, we present SenTrojan, an analog hardware Trojan framework for sensors. SenTrojan embeds malicious functionality into analog signal circuitry commonly shared across diverse sensor architectures, and activates the hidden behavior through crafted external physical signals. Once activated, SenTrojan can induce sensor malfunctions ranging from permanent denial-of-service to static or dynamic spoofing. To achieve these effects under different architectural constraints, we introduce two complementary designs. The Logic-Rule-Driven (LRD) Trojan adds lightweight analog monitoring logic to detect trigger features such as frequency and amplitude, enabling reliable activation across various sensor types. The Physical-Effect-Driven (PED) Trojan targets sensors with exploitable native analog effects, e.g., nonlinearity and rectification, and realizes attacks with minimal component insertion. We evaluate SenTrojan on 14 sensors spanning 6 transduction principles and demonstrate its effectiveness across diverse real-world scenarios. Overall, SenTrojan achieves an average successful trigger rate above 95%, maintains over 97% similarity to benign behavior, incurs zero false-trigger rate for LRD designs, and introduces less than 5% average deviation in drift, noise floor, and response time. To our knowledge, this work is the first systematic study of analog sensor Trojans, broadening sensor security from unintended physical vulnerabilities to intentional supply-chain compromise.

SleuthVLM: Do We Really Need Audio-in-Video for Omni Video Understanding?

Peiran Wu, Fangfei Gou, Zhaoxi Mu, Changhao Zhang, Jian Liu, Weiqiang Wang, Yuntao Wang, Yuanchun Shi 等 9 位作者

Omni models answer questions about videos by jointly processing sampled frames and audio in one turn, with progress driven largely by scaling model size and omni training data. We ask whether a model needs to hear the audio directly at all, and present SleuthVLM, an agent harness built on a VLM that never hears the audio directly: speech will be transcribed into text, and the VLM will sleuth the video on its own without any predefined workflow. On four omni benchmarks with videos up to 90 minutes, SleuthVLM achieves the best average accuracy: \textbf{75.0%}, 2.6 points above Gemini 3.8 Flash, and it also tops the Video-MME-v2 leaderboard with \textbf{77.8%}; with an open-source 27B VLM, it beats all open-source omni models. We draw three findings: SleuthVLM beats a model that glances; hearing is not the bottleneck, agentic ability is; omni understanding needs better agentic ability, not just more omni data for modality alignment. So we provide a simple but effective starting point for doing omni video understanding. Omni understanding needs better agents, not just bigger models that hear.

Bridging the Morphology Gap: Adapting VLA Models to Dexterous Manipulation via Intent-Conditioned Fine-Tuning

Chuanke Pang, Junyi Huang, Jianye Fang, Zhijun Zhao, Yaobing Wang, Kun Xu, Xilun Ding

Pretrained vision-language-action (VLA) models offer semantic and spatial priors for robot manipulation, but their parallel-gripper interfaces leave multi-finger contact coordination implicit. Adapting these models requires both timely grasp transitions and embodiment-specific hand trajectories. We introduce InDex, an intent-conditioned framework that connects these two requirements. A normalized aperture signal, derived from retargeted demonstrations, supervises a scalar grasp intent while preserving full hand-action supervision. Stage 1 learns synchronized end-effector-intent chunks; Stage 2 conditions a diffusion hand decoder on these predictions, visual-language context, and proprioception. Sequential optimization establishes the upstream interface before learning dexterous control with low-rate co-adaptation. Across four simulated tasks, InDex with $π_{0.5}$ achieves 85.8% mean task success, improving the native policy by 35.5 percentage points, and reaches 69.0% on held-out objects with similar geometry without fine-tuning or recalibration. Improvements also hold across three VLA backbones and separately trained real-world policies, where mean success increases from 71.0% to 83.0%. Component ablations and timing interventions support the value of explicit grasp-intent conditioning and expressive hand generation. These results identify arm-hand coordination as an actionable bottleneck in adapting parallel-gripper priors to dexterous manipulation.

VicEdit: Learning to Edit Videos from Visual In-Context Examples

Yuji Wang, Teng Hu, Yuheng Chen, Ran Yi, Han Feng, Weijian Cao, Chengjie Wang, Lizhuang Ma 等 9 位作者

Despite remarkable progress in instruction-based video editing, textual descriptions remain limited in expressing fine-grained appearance, spatial transformations, and temporal dynamics. We introduce Visual In-context Editing, a new paradigm that shifts video editing from text-only instructions to visual demonstrations, where users specify desired edits through heterogeneous visual references including single images, image pairs, and video pairs. To establish this paradigm, we curate VicEdit-400K, the first large-scale dataset for visual in-context video editing, containing 400K high-quality samples across ten editing tasks with comprehensive semantic and visual consistency filtering. Building upon this foundation, we propose VicEdit, a unified framework that enables effective reasoning over diverse visual contexts and textual instructions. Specifically, we introduce Modality-Adaptive Semantic Distillation to extract modality-aware visual editing semantics and Dual-Context Injection to align visual contexts with textual editing intents. Extensive experiments on VicEdit-Bench demonstrate that VicEdit achieves state-of-the-art performance on both conventional instruction-based editing and visual in-context editing. Further controlled studies and human evaluations verify that VicEdit effectively leverages heterogeneous visual references, establishing visual in-context editing as a promising paradigm for controllable video editing.

OpInf-LLM: Parametric PDE Solving with LLMs via Operator Inference

Zhuoyuan Wang, Hanjiang Hu, Xiyu Deng, Saviz Mowlavi, Yorie Nakahira

Solving diverse partial differential equations (PDEs) is fundamental in science and engineering. Large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated strong capabilities in code generation, symbolic reasoning, and tool use, but reliably solving PDEs across heterogeneous settings remains challenging. Prior work on LLM-based code generation and transformer-based foundation models for PDE learning has shown promising advances. However, a persistent trade-off between execution success rate and numerical accuracy arises, particularly when generalization to unseen parameters and boundary conditions is required. In this work, we propose OpInf-LLM, an LLM parametric PDE solving framework via operator inference. The proposed framework leverages small amounts of solution data to enable accurate prediction of diverse PDE instances, including unseen parameters and configurations, and provides seamless integration with LLMs for natural language task specification and physics-based reasoning of proper feature parameterization. Its low computational demands and unified solution pipeline further enable a high execution success rate across heterogeneous settings, opening new possibilities for generalizable reduced-order modeling in LLM-based PDE solving.

When Disclosure Is Compulsory: Evaluating Ride-Hailing Rebalancing Policies with Self-Interested LLM Driver Agents

Xinyu Wang, Andres Fielbaum

The EU Platform Work Directive, to be transposed by December 2026, requires ride-hailing platforms to state in plain language the main parameters of their automated decisions and how a worker's behaviour affects them. Such rules are exactly what a large language model (LLM) can read, so drivers will be able to let one decide for them. We compare two main families of rebalancing policy once their rules are public: a reactive policy (R) that sends idle drivers to cover requests just lost, and an anticipatory policy (A) that plans moves on a demand forecast. Each driver is an LLM agent maximizing its own net income, given no rules (N) or the rules at the directive's level of detail (L). We test two LLMs, Claude Haiku 5.5 and Jev, which understand the rules equally well, in a three-zone model and in Manhattan. With the rules disclosed, drivers follow the platform more closely: in Manhattan, the share of relocation offers they decline falls from about four in five to one in four under both policies. Yet the effects differ by policy. For the platform, disclosure costs R 3.7% of its profit in Manhattan, as R now pays for moves drivers used to make for free, while A's profit is unchanged; the two policies, which tie on profit under full compliance, end 6.1% apart. For drivers, disclosure raises income in the small model under both policies and LLMs; for users, it raises the service rate there by 10 to 18 percentage points. In Manhattan, self-interested drivers also make A a win-win-win against full compliance, raising driver income, platform profit and service rate by 10 to 12% each. Rebalancing policies that perform equally well under full compliance can thus show opposite results under mandatory disclosure. The study offers a framework to evaluate such policies under the new requirement and is, to our knowledge, the first to do so with LLM agents.

vExpert: Virtualizing Expert Storage for Adaptive Load Balancing in Distributed MoE Inference

Wenxun Wang, Xiuhong Li, Yida Wang, Chen Tang, Zongle Huang, Ke Hong, Yu Wang, Yongpan Liu

Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models have become prevailing, yet their distributed deployment suffers from severe dynamic load imbalance due to the conflict between static expert placement and inherent routing dynamism. While host DRAM offers capacity to avoid static device storage for load balancing, we identify existing offloading works fundamentally fail in distributed inference due to two overlooked challenges: (1) coupled performance impacts of runtime Host-to-Device transfers due to load dynamism and shared PCIe topology; (2) system-level memory overhead incurred by DRAM usage at scale. In this paper, we propose vExpert that shifts DRAM offloading paradigm from partial residency to full redundancy through virtualized expert storage. We pioneer the first systematic performance model that jointly captures H2D latency, PCIe contention, and load imbalance, building a lightweight allocator to dynamically map physical experts to virtual slots runtime. A novel disaggregated manager is designed to reduce memory overhead in multi-process environments. Evaluated on DeepSeek-V3.1 within an 8-node H100 cluster, vExpert improves load balance ratio by up to 55% and achieves 1.2$\times$ end-to-end speedup.

GhostTac: Manipulating Tactile Sensors without Physical Contact

Kun Wang, Xuancun Lu, Ruochen Zhou, Kai Wang, Tongjun Ye, Yihao Shao, Chen Yan, Xiaoyu Ji 等 9 位作者

Tactile sensors are integral components of modern robotic systems, enabling robots to perceive and interact with the physical environment through tactile feedback. Despite their importance, the physical-layer security of tactile sensors has received little attention in prior work. In this paper, we present GhostTac, to the best of our knowledge, the first contactless attack that manipulates tactile sensing via electromagnetic interference (EMI). We identify that EMI exploits the nonlinear rectification and limited bandwidth amplification effects, allowing carefully crafted EMI signals to be converted into a persistent DC offset that bypasses on-board filtering and induces stable measurement deviations. Building on this mechanism, GhostTac enables fine-grained and controllable manipulation of sensor outputs by reshaping the spatial distribution and manipulating the magnitude at the targeted location. Such interference can induce unintended and harmful robot behaviors, such as causing a domestic robot to exert excessive force, resulting in physical damage or human injury. We evaluate GhostTac on 10 sensor modules and 2 dexterous hands, covering 15 tactile sensors of different types, and demonstrate consistent attack effectiveness across all tested devices. We further present three case studies on tactile grasping, slip detection, and material classification to illustrate practical impacts in real robotic tasks. We envision that our findings shed light on a new physical attack vector against tactile sensing in robotic systems.

SpanUQ: Span-Level Uncertainty Quantification for Large Language Model Generation

Yimeng Zhang, Yingying Zhuang, Ziyi Wang, Yuxuan Lu, Pei Chen, Aman Gupta, Zhe Su, Ming Tan 等 15 位作者

Uncertainty estimation is essential for the trustworthy deployment of LLMs: it underpins self-refinement and serves as a decision signal for downstream systems, from verifiers to collaborating agents. However, existing approaches operate at suboptimal granularities: token-level scores lack semantic coherence, while sequence-level scores fail to localize errors. We formalize Span-Level Uncertainty Estimation (SLUE), a new task that targets the natural granularity for uncertainty: semantically coherent text spans, each conveying a single assessable unit of meaning. To address this task, we introduce SPANUQ, a lightweight probe that distills the uncertainty knowledge from expensive multi-sample inference into a single forward pass over LLM hidden states. SPANUQ employs a DETR-style span decoder to simultaneously detect spans and estimate their uncertainty via a Mixture of Beta distribution, trained with a principled combination of Beta NLL regression and contrastive ranking objectives. We construct SPANUQ-BENCH, the first span-level uncertainty benchmark comprising 20K prompts, 293K annotated spans, and continuous soft labels derived from multi-sample claim verification. Experiments on five LLM backbones show that SPANUQ consistently achieves the best span-level uncertainty quality , outperforming the strongest probe baseline and all sampling-based methods while being 10~20x faster. Its DETR-based span detector attains 0.910 F1, surpassing the best heuristic by 39.4%, enabling precise error localization that sequence-level methods cannot provide. The same architecture ports to five LLMs spanning two model families, with one probe trained per backbone, and we additionally observe that sequence-level uncertainty is partially decomposable, suggesting that span-level estimation subsumes sequence-level as a special case. The project page is available damon-demon.github.io/SpanUQ.

ScamWorld: An Interactive Environment for Evaluating Web Agents Against Online Fraud

Yutao Wu, Xiao Liu, Ming Wen, Hanxun Huang, Jun Wang, Xingjun Ma

Web agents increasingly browse, shop, and manage accounts on behalf of their users. Prior work has shown that they can be misled by adversarial content, including prompt injections and deceptive interfaces. Beyond such attacks, agents operating on the open web also encounter online fraud designed to deceive humans, including fraudulent online stores, fake investment platforms, and advance-fee schemes. How web agents respond to such fraud during task execution remains underexplored, in part because scam websites are short-lived, making systematic evaluation difficult. To address this gap, we introduce ScamWorld, an interactive environment that reconstructs reported scam websites across diverse scenarios, fraud mechanisms, and languages. Each reconstructed website reproduces documented fraud mechanisms, making relevant signs of fraud observable before the agent's final action and enabling controlled, repeatable evaluation. Through an extensive study of web agents powered by six frontier LLMs, we find that baseline deception rates range from 11% to 35% across models. Agents proceed more readily with payments than with requests for credentials or wallet information. A closer analysis of agent trajectories shows that some agents acknowledge suspicious conditions yet proceed, at times treating the user's instructions as authorisation to accept additional terms imposed by the website. ScamWorld provides a reusable testbed for systematically evaluating and stress-testing web agents against real-world online fraud.

DeepfakeGenome: Toward Next-Generation Deepfake Attribution

Shunli Wang, Xinyu Zhou, Yandan Zhao, Wenbin Liang, Taiping Yao, Ke-Yue Zhang, Zhiyuan Yan, Shouhong Ding 等 9 位作者

In recent years, AIGC technologies are capable of generating hyper-realistic forged facial images, posing severe threats to facial security safety. To tackle these challenges, early Deepfake research primarily centered on real-fake classification. Recently, growing efforts have been devoted to the Deepfake Attribution (DFA) of generated content. Nevertheless, existing research on Deepfake detection and attribution faces saturated performance in binary classification, limited diversity in datasets and algorithms, and imperfect evaluation protocols, which severely impede practical application. To address these limitations, we propose a comprehensive deepfake detection and attribution benchmark named DeepfakeGenome (DFG). It contains 100 facial forgery algorithms and 2M images in total, achieving 4x to 100x larger than prior DFA benchmarks. We further design 4 protocols for practical evaluation, including a novel retrieval-based attribution paradigm. Unlike previous open-set evaluation metrics, the proposed retrieval metrics are more aligned with the real-world active defense situation of blacklist registration mechanisms. Based on these elaborate designs, we investigate the performance ceiling of deepfake attribution task. Over 2k experimental evaluations are conducted, and 10 insightful findings are derived. We believe this work can provide new insights into the DFA research field. The Code and Benchmark of DFG are avaliable on https://huggingface.co/spaces/DeepfakeGenome/DFG_Page.

UniRestorer++: Scalable Universal Image Restoration with Multi-Granularity Degradation Modeling

Jingbo Lin, Zhilu Zhang, Fan Li, Renjing Pei, Wenbo Li, Hang Xu, Hongzhi Zhang, Wangmeng Zuo

Universal image restoration aims to handle diverse degradations within a single model, but a reliable scaling strategy remains underexplored. Increasing backbone depth and width can lead to performance saturation, while degradation-aware specialization depends on accurate degradation estimation and is vulnerable to errors on out-of-distribution and real-world inputs. We propose UniRestorer++, a scalable framework based on multi-granularity degradation modeling. It progressively refines degradation groups and introduces group-specific experts, coupling capacity growth with specialization. Degradation-estimation-based routing selects a root-to-leaf path, while granularity-estimation-based routing chooses a level along that path to balance specialization and robustness. Spatially dense degradation representation maps further enable region-aware routing for spatially non-uniform corruptions. We develop CDD-50, a benchmark covering 50 degradation categories from single to penta-degradation. Experiments show approximately log-linear PSNR trends over the evaluated model-size range and stronger scaling gains on out-of-distribution and real-world data than vanilla MoE scaling. UniRestorer++ achieves state-of-the-art performance across benchmarks and demonstrates zero-shot generalization and few-shot transfer on real-world images. Act-HiMotif: Hierarchical Daily Activity Schedule Generation via Learned Activity-Structure Motifs

Yushi Bai, Kang Liu, Ling Yin, Wei Wang, Yilin Lyu

Generating daily activity schedules from individual attributes (e.g., age and income) is valuable for activity-based travel modeling and human behavior simulation. The task is challenging because exact activity structures follow a highly imbalanced, long-tailed distribution, while the same structure can admit multiple duration allocations under a fixed full-day budget. Direct generation must therefore learn many exact activity structures from highly uneven observations while modeling their possible temporal realizations. However, many exact structures share recurring activity organization. Based on this observation, we propose Act-HiMotif, a hierarchical motif-based generative model that introduces learned, reusable activity-structure motifs as an intermediate representation between individual profiles and specific activity structures. Act-HiMotif first distinguishes home-only days from active days, then samples a motif from a profile-conditioned prior to guide activity-structure generation, and finally applies a budget-constrained duration allocator to generate activity durations that sum exactly to the full-day horizon. This hierarchy models home-only routing, activity-structure generation, and duration allocation at their corresponding levels, while motifs allow related structures to share statistical support without losing their distinct sequences. Experiments on large-scale travel survey data show that Act-HiMotif outperforms strong baselines in both in-distribution and spatial generalization settings, demonstrating the effectiveness of hierarchical generation and reusable activity-structure motifs for producing realistic profile-conditioned daily activity schedules.

TensorSSM: Memorizing Spatial Position in Dynamic State Space for Tensor Core Generation

Sheng Zhang, Xinyi Wang, Maolin Wang, Xiangyu Zhao

High-dimensional tensors are ubiquitous in real-world applications but lead to massive storage overhead. Functional tensor decomposition addresses this by employing neural networks to map element coordinates to tensor cores, significantly reducing the parameters for data compression. However, existing functional methods typically flatten high-order tensors into 1D sequences. This folding operation causes highly overlapping local coordinate sequences and struggles to capture complex cross-mode spatial dependencies, severely limiting their expressiveness on diverse datasets. To tackle these challenges, we propose TensorSSM, a novel Implicit Neural Representation (INR) for functional decomposition method that memorizes spatial positions within a dynamic State Space Model (SSM). Specifically, TensorSSM first decomposes mode-wise coordinates into sequences spit by K-ary rule, encoding spatial tokens from coarse to fine, which effectively captures spatial variations. Furthermore, we extend the SSM's state space to explicitly map cross-mode spatial dependencies, allowing inter-mode interactions to enhance the updates of each mode. By integrating cross-mode information from previous hidden states into the current state transitions, TensorSSM effectively expands tensor representation along two dimensions: the sequence dimension for coarse-to-fine spatial tokens, and the state dimension for cross-mode memorization. This design effectively integrates spatial information into the state space and the tensor core, substantially advancing the state adaptability and enhancing the expressiveness of the data compression. Extensive experiments demonstrate that TensorSSM achieves significantly high reconstruction accuracy and storage efficiency, exhibiting robust expressiveness across diverse tensor datasets without relying on strict spatial assumptions.

TRACK: Multiple Instance Learning for Anti-Money Laundering in Transaction Networks

Seonkyu Lim, Inwoo Tae, Gwangui Hong, Jaehoon Lee, Jeongwhan Choi, Taehoon Kim, Min-Soo Kim, Yongjae Lee

Anti-money laundering (AML) investigations are organized around accounts, while the suspicious evidence for an account may reside in only a few of its transactions. Yet many account-level detectors summarize transactions before learning, and message-passing models may aggregate once more over neighboring accounts. We name this discrepancy the aggregation mismatch and study it under an account-window benchmark label defined by the presence of at least one flagged transaction. We recast account-level AML detection as multiple instance learning, in which an account-window is a bag and its transactions are instances. We propose TRACK, which encodes every transaction with a shared encoder and selectively pools the encodings into an account decision. To emulate coarse supervision, we withhold the transaction labels of five AML datasets from TRACK throughout training. Under a time-ordered protocol, TRACK achieves the highest average precision among the tabular and graph baselines trained from account labels on every dataset. Despite using only account-window supervision, it remains competitive with edge classifiers trained directly from transaction labels. Its instance scores also rank flagged transactions well above chance and approach or exceed directly supervised ranking performance across datasets.

PAC Learning with Multiple Correct Answers

Steve Hanneke, Farnam Mansouri, Alireza F. Pour, Amirreza Shaeiri, Kun Wang

We study PAC learning when each example comes with a set of at most $\ell$ correct labels and a prediction is correct if it belongs to this set. Training may reveal the full set, only whether a proposed label is correct (bandit feedback), or one correct label chosen by a demonstrator (demonstrations). Our main finding is that demonstrations can be much harder than full sets, and even than bandit feedback, both in which classes can be learned and in how many examples are needed. For finite label spaces, a generalized Natarajan dimension characterizes learnability from full sets and from bandit feedback, in both the realizable and the agnostic setting. From demonstrations, however, a class is realizably learnable if and only if the intersections of at most $\ell+1$ of its hypotheses are learnable from full sets. Already with three labels, this condition can fail for a class learnable from a single full-set example or even a single bandit answer. When the condition holds, we show that $\widetilde O(\varepsilon^{-\ell})$ demonstrations suffice, and the exponent $\ell$ cannot be improved in general, even for classes learnable from $\widetilde O(1/\varepsilon)$ full sets or bandit answers. For countable label spaces and $\ell \geq 2$, our packed dimension, which asks for many disjoint groups of at most $\ell+1$ hypotheses with no common label, characterizes full-set learnability, and demonstrations still reduce to intersections. Agnostic learning from demonstrations, already for finite label spaces, is not determined by the dimensions of the intersection class that characterize realizable learning. Finally, we show that the uniform bound $\ell$ on the number of correct labels is essential. Without this bound, it is impossible to characterize learnability by any dimension determined by finite subclasses.

LINC: Decoupling Local Consequence Scoring from Hidden Matching in Constructive Neural Routing

Shaofeng Qin, Li Wang

Constructive neural routing solvers usually score the next action by matching a decoder context against candidate embeddings computed once per instance from static node features such as coordinates, demands, and time windows; deterministic one-step consequences such as travel, waiting, slack, and capacity changes are not provided as inputs and must be inferred implicitly by the model. We propose LINC, a decoder-side candidate decision architecture that decouples computing these consequences from learning how much they matter. The environment computes the consequences explicitly at each step; candidate-level consequences are scored by a state-conditioned shared linear comparator, while feasible-set summaries modulate the decoder context. This keeps the cached embeddings and standard global matching while giving the scoring function direct access to deterministic transition quantities. The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (CVRPTW) serves as the main constrained-routing testbed, and the same interface extends to the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) and Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). Across external benchmarks and no-retraining scale-transfer settings, LINC consistently improves strong neural baselines, with the advantage becoming more pronounced as test size moves further beyond the training scale, especially on constrained routing problems.

Attraction-Ranking Mismatch in Out-of-Distribution Detection: Theory and Evidence from Hamiltonian Feature Dynamics

Zilin Wang, Lianghai Xiao

Attracting features toward learned in-distribution (ID) regions is an intuitive strategy for out-of-distribution (OOD) detection, but does such attraction improve detection? We investigate this question using class-conditioned Hamiltonian dynamics as a controlled testbed and identify an attraction-ranking mismatch: improving individual class-affinity scores need not improve the relative ordering of ID and OOD samples. Our analysis separates misalignment between the driving field and the detection score from ranking failure that persists even when they are aligned. An exact AUROC decomposition and a local boundary analysis identify relative score changes at the ID-OOD ranking boundary as the source of first-order AUROC change under regularity conditions. Experiments demonstrate that a score-aligned rule can improve performance on a held-out source validation split yet consistently degrade it after transfer, even without a single winning-class change. A separate perturbation study finds that near-boundary relative score changes track the direction of small AUROC changes in the tested settings. Finally, centroid approximation and shared scales connect the zero-step score to a static centroid family that includes the existing CTM detector. Together, these results explain why class attraction is insufficient to justify feature refinement and motivate evaluating its effect on the ranking boundary.

Computer-using agents are increasingly capable of performing complex tasks in the digital world. To advance such agents, supervised learning on annotated interaction trajectories has become a common approach to improving their task-solving capabilities. However, high-quality interaction trajectories remain scarce for specialized desktop applications, where limited application knowledge, complex GUI workflows, and incomplete exploration hinder automated collection. To address these challenges, we introduce \aks{}, a knowledge-guided automated trajectory collection framework. It combines tutorial-guided exploration with a hybrid GUI--Code action space, providing application-specific knowledge and simplifying GUI workflows through direct execution of application-native commands. The framework also checkpoints and revisits pivotal states during tree exploration to explore alternative workflows, complementing linear rollouts for broader coverage. We collect 10.9K automatically validated trajectories and use them to fine-tune open-source base models. The resulting model achieves 64.1\% accuracy on a benchmark of specialized desktop workflows, improving performance by 58.2 percentage points, establishing a new state of the art. The fine-tuned model also improves performance on general desktop workflows using GUI actions only, suggesting that the collected supervision benefits general desktop tasks as well. Comparative experiments and ablations demonstrate the efficiency of our collection framework and the value of code actions in specialized workflows.

PDRVLA: A Vision-Language-Action Model with Physical Dynamics Representations

Hanqing Wang, Zhaotian Cai, Ruichuan An, Bohan Zeng, Tao Zhang, Yilin Chen, Xu Jiang, Kaiquan Chen 等 16 位作者

Vision--Language--Action (VLA) models generate robot actions from visual observations and language instructions, but their understanding of physical dynamics remains limited. Video world models can capture scene dynamics, yet generating future videos introduces high latency into the control loop. We introduce PDRVLA, whose lightweight Physical Dynamics Module extracts physical tokens from vision--language features to condition action generation without online video generation. The module learns through direct prediction of future RGB, depth, and optical-flow features, with auxiliary supervision through a frozen pretrained video world model. Training relies entirely on publicly available data, expanded through human-to-robot synthesis, subtask annotation, and embodied chain-of-thought (ECoT) annotation. Across four simulation benchmarks, PDRVLA achieves success rates of 99.3% on LIBERO, 89.9% on LIBERO-Plus, 93.6% on RoboTwin~2.0, and 81.5% on SimplerEnv. Ablations show improved future prediction with world-model supervision and evaluate how subtask conditioning, future object-pose supervision, and ECoT training affect action success.

NorthCUA Technical Report: Turbocharging Computer-Use Agents through Experience at Scale

Chaoyun Zhang, Bingxuan Li, Pinxue Guo, Yangfan Gao, Zikun Cai, Tianci Xie, Hui Li, Yuqi Huang 等 30 位作者

Scaling computer-use agents from individual actions to complex software work requires experience that connects decisions to complete outcomes. We present NorthCUA, an integrated system for turbocharging computer-use agents through experience at scale. Its Experience Flywheel supplies diverse executable tasks to the NorthCUA Harness, which sustains long interactions, records decisions, and checks task outcomes. The Flywheel uses these records to curate verified trajectories. For unsolved tasks, recursive self-improvement evolves reusable skills and preserves verified milestones so later attempts build on earlier progress. Staged Learning combines this experience with grounding data from the Flywheel to develop GUI competence through mid-training and long-horizon supervised fine-tuning. The policy then learns from fresh attempts in the same Harness through joint desktop-web reinforcement learning, closing the loop between experience production and policy improvement. The resulting Nano, Mini, and Pro family achieves state-of-the-art results among open-source models across GUI grounding, desktop execution, and Web interaction under the reported evaluation settings. For more responsive Web workflows, NorthCUA-Ultrafast pairs direct action selection with open-ended generation on pre-RL Nano, offering a measured quality-latency tradeoff. Together, these advances establish NorthCUA as a high-performing model family and a reusable foundation for agents that carry complex software work from intent to completion.

Familiar letters, not related languages, let unseen languages into a shared space of meaning

Yuliang Liu, Xinyu Wang, Xiang Bai

Hundreds of languages have written text but almost no translations, and whether a model learning one from untranslated text builds on a related language or familiar letters is unclear: they usually coincide. Here we show that familiar letters, not a related language, let an unseen language into a shared space of meaning. GlyphMind, a tokenizer-free vision transformer that reads text as pixels and lets any sentence be shown in any script, was pretrained to align translations across 27 writing systems. Adapted on untranslated Lao, a language and script it had never seen, it retrieved English translations seven times as often as the strongest simple baseline. Rewritten in unfamiliar letters, Lao did not enter although its close relative Thai was in pretraining; Santali, which had none, entered in Devanagari, familiar from Hindi, but not in its own script. Transliteration into familiar scripts may thus open multilingual models to languages without translations.

3D-PLOT-LLM: Part-Level Object Tokens for 3D Large Language Models

Jintang Xue, Xinyu Wang, Yixing Wu, Jingwen Chen, C. -C. Jay Kuo

3D multimodal large language models (3D MLLMs) describe a 3D object as a whole but cannot address, name, or reason about its parts. Prior part-aware attempts add segmentation decoders, heavier 3D encoders, or bounding-box grammars at substantial parameter cost. We take a fundamentally different path: we reorganize the input token stream so that parts become directly addressable through the LLM's own vocabulary. Our model, 3D-PLOT-LLM, partitions the frozen point encoder's patches into K locally coherent regions and inserts, before each region's patch tokens, a learnable per-region marker and a reserved vocabulary token <part_k>; a Marker-Space Refinement (MSR) module then conditions each marker on its region's spatial statistics and adjacency neighbors. The model thus cites parts in its output and follows prompts that refer to parts by token, a capability absent from prior object-level 3D MLLMs. To probe this interface, we construct PartVerse-QA, a vocabulary-level part-QA benchmark adapted from PartVerse mesh annotations (77K training pairs and 588 held-out queries on disjoint object splits), on which 3D-PLOT-LLM reaches caption-to-slots Jaccard 0.459 and Exact-match 13.78%, with a slot-to-caption GPT-4o judge of 44.68. On the text-description track of the 3DCoMPaT-GrIn part-aware grounded description benchmark, 3D-PLOT-LLM outperforms PointLLM, Kestrel, PARIS3D, and SegPoint on every reported text metric, and ShapeLLM on 3 of 4, with up to +3.03 GPT-4o judge over PointLLM. On Objaverse whole-object captioning, adding PartVerse-QA at Stage 2 yields +0.65 SBERT and +1.85 GPT-4o over PointLLM, and tops PointLLM-PiSA on 4 of 5 traditional metrics despite its part-grounded objective. All with under 1M new trainable parameters on a frozen point encoder, an order of magnitude below prior part-aware 3D MLLMs, and no learned part detector, segmentation decoder, or bounding-box head.

Beyond the Prompt: Jailbreaking Function-Calling LLMs via Simulated Moderation Traces

Junlong Liu, Haobo Wang, Weiqi Luo, Xiaojun Jia

Jailbreak attacks remain a critical threat to the safe deployment of large language models (LLMs). While prior work has primarily studied attacks and defenses at the prompt level, we show that this prompt-centric paradigm overlooks a structural vulnerability in stateful, function-calling environments. In such applications, developer-defined schemas, structured arguments, and untrusted tool outputs are interleaved into a single shared model context. This architecture expands the attack surface by blurring the boundary between trusted control logic and untrusted data, allowing adversarial intent to be distributed across a multi-turn execution path. We exploit this architectural flaw through SMT, a black-box attack framework based on Simulated Moderation Traces. Departing from purely prompt-based interactions, SMT constructs a multi-turn trajectory that simulates a legitimate moderation-auditing workflow. Within this trajectory, a fabricated moderation frame leverages red-team testing as a pretext to elicit harmful generations. The subsequent validation feedback treats safety refusals as execution failures, prompting refinements that gradually weaken the model's safety constraints and ultimately trigger harmful outputs. Extensive empirical evaluations on prominent commercial LLMs from five different providers across two standardized safety benchmarks show that SMT consistently achieves the highest average attack success rate and HarmScore while requiring a near-minimal number of queries, substantially outperforming existing baselines. These findings demonstrate that prompt-level sanitization alone is fundamentally insufficient for defending tool-enabled LLM systems and highlight the urgent need for context-aware validation across schemas, arguments, tool outputs, and accumulated conversation state. The code is available at https://github.com/liujlong27/SMT.

Clips2Story: Training-Free Video Storyboarding and Editing Using Multimodal Retrieval-Embedded Generation

Junnuo Wang, Weihan Xu, Hao-Wen Dong

Video editors often work with large collections of fragmented footage and must select and organize relevant clips into a coherent story. However, many existing video editing and summarization methods assume a temporally ordered source video and aim to preserve its original narrative and temporal structure. In this paper, we introduce Clips2Story, a training-free, LLM-based pipeline that enables users to create keyword-specified short videos from a pool of video clips. Given a pool of clips and a user-specified keyword, we first extract text-based multimodal descriptors for each clip and retrieve the clips most relevant to the keyword. We then provide the textual descriptors of these candidate clips to an LLM, which selects and arranges them into an editable storyboard with connective narrations. Finally, we assemble the selected clips and retrieve accompanying visuals for the narrations to compose the output video. To evaluate the proposed pipeline, we construct a synthetic evaluation dataset from 100 long-form videos across five genres by segmenting each video into short clips using a scene-change detection model and shuffling the resulting clips to remove their temporal order. Through objective evaluation and qualitative examples, we demonstrate that Clips2Story can effectively retrieve keyword-relevant clips and compose coherent storyboards based on user-specified keywords. Human evaluation further shows that Clips2Story outperforms a strong baseline in terms of narrative coherence, keyword alignment, and overall realism.

LiveFoley: Dynamic Real-Time Video-to-Audio Generation for Immersive Interactive Worlds

Yusheng Dai, Vladimir Iashin, Kangdi Wang, Yuxuan Jiang, Ilpo Viertola, Weiqiang Wang, Qiuhong Ke, Min Zhao 等 9 位作者

Streaming video-to-audio (V2A) generation is essential for immersive interactive applications. However, real-time constraints leave existing streaming V2A methods far behind offline models: (1) visual frontends shrink their receptive fields to cut look-ahead latency, severely degrading audio-visual alignment; (2) causal autoregressive diffusion backends denoise each audio patch in isolation, impairing audio quality. To this end, we present LiveFoley, a streaming causal autoregressive diffusion architecture that addresses both bottlenecks with imperceptible latency. For the visual frontend, we introduce a Trailing Sliding Window that converts non-causal segment-level encoders into streaming modules without retraining. By simply realigning the window, it preserves precise audio-visual alignment, while a configurable hop size reduces the frontend look-ahead well below the human perceptual threshold. Building on this tunable hop size, we propose the Unified Varhop Framework to accommodate scenarios with diverse latency and computation budgets. For the audio backend, we explore widening the denoising window of the local diffusion transformer (LocDiT) head in two temporal directions. History LocDiT adds past context to improve quality at no latency cost and serves as our default. Alternatively, Future-Warmup LocDiT breaks the autoregressive deadlock with an approximate future condition, further improving generation quality at the cost of an acceptable backend look-ahead. Extensive experiments demonstrate that LiveFoley matches offline models in temporal alignment and leads streaming systems in generation quality. Safety, or Just Capability? A Validity Audit of Agent-Safety Benchmarks

Youting Wang, Xiao Han, Dingyan Shang, Yuan Tang, Bowen Liu

Agent-safety benchmarks measure different behaviors, and their scores get quoted interchangeably as an agent's safety. We treat four of them (R-Judge, InjecAgent, AgentHarm, AgentDojo) as measurements to be validated, running each under its official implementation and author-provided scorer on up to 22 models, with MMLU and GPQA measured by us under one protocol as a capability composite. The metric is the first problem. On any binary trace-judgment benchmark scored by $F_1$, an ``always positive'' policy attains $F_1 = 2π/(1+π)$; on R-Judge that is $0.690$, above five of the 21 models that actually discriminate. The three broad-coverage benchmarks then rank the same 18 models differently, and the trade-off behind that disagreement is a small-panel artifact: R-Judge specificity against AgentHarm safety correlates $-0.64$ at $n{=}7$ and $+0.02$ at $n{=}18$, and a quarter of random size-7 subsets reach $|ρ| \geq 0.5$ around that near-zero value. Held-out validity turns on which outcome you pick. Capability predicts task success ($ρ{=}{+}0.60$) but correlates negatively with misalignment safety ($ρ{=}{-}0.44$, $n{=}21$). On their paired $n{=}20$ panel, the corresponding contrast is $Δ{=}{-}1.00$ (95% CI $[-1.48, -0.49]$, $p<0.001$), and it survives leave-one-organization-out and organization-clustered bootstrap analyses. On an expanded 41-model panel, the misalignment correlation weakens to $-0.16$ (95% CI $[-0.54, +0.22]$) and jailbreak strengthens to $+0.34$, though neither change is significant. \mbox{AgentHarm} shows the strongest held-out association, $ρ{=}{+}0.72$ with three-template jailbreak safety after controlling capability. But both instruments score harmful compliance, so this is evidence of convergent validity rather than general safety. Naming the benchmark, metric, target behavior, and model panel is the minimum a safety claim needs.

KV-PRM: Efficient Process Reward Modeling via KV-Cache Transfer for Multi-Agent Test-Time Scaling

Peng Kuang, Haibo Jin, Xiaoyu Han, Yanli Wang, Xiaopeng Yuan, Ye Yu, Kaidi Xu, Haohan Wang

Process Reward Models (PRMs) have been proven to be highly effective in guiding test-time scaling (TTS) methods, which significantly boost the capabilities of LLM-based multi-agent systems. However, existing PRMs are text-based: they re-encode the entire trajectory text from scratch. In long multi-agent rollouts, the scoring cost, growing quadratically with respect to sequence length L, creates a severe computational bottleneck, severely limiting PRMs' application in long-context scenarios. To resolve this, we introduce KV-PRM, a highly efficient process reward model that eliminates the heavy text re-encoding by directly reading the KV cache produced naturally during the LLM's generation phase. By processing a single "verify token" against the pre-existing KV cache, KV-PRM reduces the scoring cost from O(L^2) to O(L). We formally prove that the KV cache contains strictly greater information capacity than text, and is more efficient for downstream reward modeling. Empirically, across the MATH, GSM8K, and AIME benchmarks, KV-PRM matches or strictly outperforms text-PRMs under various TTS methods such as Beam Search, MCTS, and Weighted Voting, with up to a 5,000x reduction in scoring FLOPs, a 37x reduction in latency, and a 34x reduction in per-sequence memory footprint compared to text-based PRMs.
