Robot reinforcement learning increasingly runs environments outside the trainer: in another process, on another machine, in another language. Many faults at this boundary raise no error. We make the boundary a wire protocol and ask what notices a fault in it. On Pendulum, HalfCheetah, Hopper and a 7-joint arm (Pusher), we injected up to 23 faults into what crosses the wire and 2 into the trainer's log, from one value to every value. Unless every value was wrong, a learning-curve threshold caught at most one run in ten, and a comparison with ten fault-free seeds at most 21%. A clean evaluation of all 1,060 final policies agreed with the curves: of the 728 boundary-fault runs both curve checks passed, 723 scored no more than three standard deviations below fault-free seeds, though nearly all ended on other weights and, for reward faults, logged other returns. Checks of the run itself, not of its outcome, saw every fault. A step ledger kept on both sides and compared step by step caught and located every fault that crossed, on Pendulum, Hopper and Pusher on one machine and on Pendulum across two, with no fault-free run and, on Pendulum, a median 3% more training time. An episode record kept at the environment caught the faults in the trainer's log. We list such faults found in practice, in Gymnasium 1.3 and our own code and, reported by others, in five multi-agent libraries, and recommend a step ledger and episode counts kept at the environment.

原文摘要

Robot world models predict action-conditioned future visual states to support robotic planning and decision making. However, visual reconstruction does not fully capture task progress, semantic evaluation alone provides limited constraints on fine-grained visual errors, and homogeneous predictions limit comparative feedback. We present RoboImagine, a framework for post-training autoregressive robotic world models through candidate-future comparisons with semantic and visual feedback. Diverse search promotes diversity among candidate trajectories under shared visual observations, action sequences, and task instructions. A frozen multimodal evaluator provides task-relevant semantic preferences through pairwise video comparisons in both presentation orders, complemented by pixel- and perceptual-level visual consistency feedback that constrains local structural and appearance errors. These signals drive policy optimization through group-relative advantages. Fixed initial context and branch-specific rolling histories support long-sequence generation with bounded context and consistent conditioning between candidate generation and policy optimization. Experiments with separately trained models on RT-1, BridgeV2, and RoboCasa cover real-world and simulated manipulation. On RT-1, under matched initialization, update counts, and evaluation protocols, RoboImagine improves PSNR by 1.26 dB and reduces LPIPS by 11.93% relative to continued supervised fine-tuning. Ablations show that diverse search improves prediction quality and that combined semantic and visual feedback yields higher external multimodal evaluation scores than visual feedback alone while maintaining comparable visual fidelity. Rolling histories further improve long-horizon prediction. These results support improving visual fidelity, task relevance, and long-horizon prediction through candidate comparison and complementary feedback.

MambaTG: Candidate-Aware State Space Modeling for Future Link Prediction on Temporal Graphs

Nguyen Hong Quan, Sitao Luan, Yilun Zheng, Lihui Chen

原文摘要

Future link prediction on temporal graphs involves both repeated interactions between previously connected node pairs and first-time interactions between pairs with no prior interaction. While repeated-edge prediction can exploit direct pairwise evidence, unseen-edge prediction must generalize beyond historical recurrence. Existing temporal graph models often exploit signals tied to recurring interactions or historical overlap, which are highly informative for repeated edges but become limited or unavailable for unseen edges, contributing to substantial performance degradation on unseen-edge prediction. Based on this observation, we identify two complementary signals for modeling sequential dynamics beyond historical recurrence: (1) historical-sequence evolution, which captures dependencies among the source node's chronologically ordered interactions, and (2) candidate--history compatibility, which captures how well a candidate fits the source node's evolving history. Based on the decomposition, we propose MambaTG, a candidate-aware Mamba-based framework that jointly models these two signals. Mamba provides a natural mechanism for this design: its selective recurrence captures the evolution of ordered interaction histories, while its input-dependent state transitions allow the history state to adapt to different candidate inputs. Extensive experiments on 13 temporal graph datasets against 13 representative baselines show that MambaTG achieves strong and consistent performance across both repeated and unseen edges while remaining computationally efficient.

原文摘要

We present \textbf{WeLM-Image}, a unified image foundation model that integrates multimodal understanding into text-to-image generation, instruction-guided editing, and multi-reference synthesis. Designed for single-GPU deployment in WeChat's large-scale consumer applications, the model processes text, reference images, and target latents as one interleaved sequence. A Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) backbone combines shared attention with independent understanding and generation parameters to limit optimization interference. Equipping each path with Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) modules provides sparse capacity, with 31.7B stored parameters and approximately 5.4B generation parameters activated per target latent token. A generation-oriented data engine combines a knowledge-grounded visual vocabulary with large-scale visual clustering to balance semantic coverage and editing tasks, while training-time evaluation guides iterative data refinement. Bilingual annotations and verified editing supervision support progressive training up to native 1.5K resolution. We optimize generation and editing separately with rubric- and checklist-based rewards, then consolidate the specialized policies through noise-aware on-policy distillation. In the reported overall comparisons, the 1536-resolution model ranks first among the evaluated open-source models on PRISM-Bench, Qwen-Image-Bench, and UnicBench. MeanFlow-based few-step distillation yields WeLM-Image-Turbo, which generates a $1024\times1024$ image in 4.98\,s on a single NVIDIA H20 GPU using eight guidance-free steps.

CSI-JEPA: Towards Foundation Representations for Ubiquitous Wi-Fi Sensing with Minimal Supervision

Xuanhao Luo, Zhizhen Li, Yuchen Liu

原文摘要

Channel state information (CSI) provides a widely available sensing modality for human and environment perception, but existing CSI sensing models usually rely on task-specific supervised training and require substantial labeled data for each task, device, user, or environment. This limits their scalability in practical deployments where unlabeled CSI is abundant but labeled data is costly to collect. In this paper, we present CSI-JEPA, a self-supervised predictive representation learning framework for label-efficient and transferable Wi-Fi sensing. CSI-JEPA learns reusable temporal-spectral representations from unlabeled CSI samples by predicting latent features of masked channel regions from visible context. To better match the physical structure of CSI, it jointly tokenizes CSI along the time and subcarrier dimensions and introduces a channel variation-aware masking strategy that prioritizes regions with stronger local channel dynamics. After pretraining, the encoder is frozen and adapted to downstream sensing tasks using lightweight task-specific adapters. We evaluate CSI-JEPA on seven real-world Wi-Fi sensing tasks spanning diverse objectives and deployment settings. The results show that CSI-JEPA improves downstream sensing performance over competitive baselines, achieving up to 10.64 percentage points (pp) mean accuracy gain over the supervised Transformer and matched-budget label savings of up to 95.0%. Across unseen tasks, environments, hardware platforms, and CSI organizations, frozen CSI-JEPA improves downstream adaptation by up to 22.92 pp over non-pretrained baselines, demonstrating strong representation transferability.

TANGO: RNA Topology and Geometry Co-Design

Tianmeng Hu, Biao Luo, Ke Li

原文摘要

Designing RNA sequences that satisfy target tertiary-structure objectives is an important problem in RNA engineering, with broad applications in synthetic biology and therapeutics. Existing 3D RNA design methods have made substantial progress, but they largely treat the target fold as a geometry-only objective. This is incomplete for RNA, whose functional folds are specified not only by tertiary geometry but also by secondary base-pairing topology. We therefore formulate RNA inverse design as a topology-and-geometry co-design problem and propose TANGO, a multi-objective multi-agent reinforcement learning framework for this task. TANGO adopts a staged curriculum: it first learns a topology-aware policy from secondary-structure targets, then transfers this policy to tertiary-structure targets to train a general co-design model, and finally applies frontier-guided fine-tuning to refine target-specific trade-offs among secondary-structure fidelity, tertiary-structure fidelity, and sequence diversity. Experiments show that TANGO generates diverse and novel designs, improving tertiary- and secondary-structure performance by 18.3% and 52.7%, respectively, over the strongest baseline.

原文摘要

Radiologists interpret computed tomography (CT) scans by jointly determining what a finding represents and where it lies in three-dimensional (3D) anatomy. However, CT models have treated CT interpretation and 3D segmentation as separate tasks, leaving textual findings spatially unverifiable and overlooking potential synergy between clinical understanding and spatial perception. Here we present HoloCT, a generalist 3D foundation model unifying CT interpretation and voxel-level segmentation by jointly modelling whole-volume context and fine-grained anatomical detail, providing 3D masks as evidence. We curated HoloDATA, comprising 195,921 CT scans from 73 public datasets and six clinical cohorts, with 6.2 million instruction dialogues and 2.8 million CT-mask pairs. Across 346 tasks spanning segmentation, lesion screening, visual question answering, and report generation on 61 internal and 12 external datasets, HoloCT outperformed specialist and foundation models. In multicentre validation across 11,455 clinical CT scans from five hospitals, HoloCT outperformed competing models in lesion segmentation and report generation by 18.2 and 15.3 points. It also achieved 85.1% mean accuracy in screening thyroid tumours and colon lesions, exceeding all four participating radiologists in a retrospective reader study. Further analyses revealed bidirectional semantic-spatial synergy: language-guided segmentation delineated unseen anatomical structures and lesions as well as diffuse free-text findings, outperforming the leading approach by 22.1 points, whereas prompting the model to generate corresponding 3D masks alongside its textual outputs significantly improved interpretation performance. HoloCT shows that clinical understanding and spatial perception can be learned together within a single foundation model and offers a path towards more accurate and reliable CT analysis.

RetryBench: Separating Retry Permission from Recovery Outcomes in GPT Tool Use

You Liu, Yue Liu, Quanchao Lu

原文摘要

LLM agents that call external tools must decide what to do when a tool call times out: retrying risks duplicate side effects, while not retrying can leave the task incomplete. We present RetryBench, an evaluation protocol for retry decisions and failure recovery in tool-using LLM agents. Each decision is scored on retry permission (is the retry justified by an idempotency-key guarantee or proof of non-execution?), settled effects (duplicates and omissions), and completion, by replaying it across all hidden execution worlds consistent with the observation. On four synthetic software-engineering tasks, we run two controlled prompt-sensitivity studies (1,728 decisions). Study 1 (idempotency-key descriptions): with the contract fixed, GPT-5.6 Luna reuses the valid idempotency key in 10/40 decisions when an extra key is described as a "Candidate recovery key" but in 39/40 when it is an "Alternative key string"; across three further phrasings per family the gap is 27/120 versus 113/120. GPT-5.6 Sol and Terra are at ceiling (40/40). Study 2 (action order): under underspecified lookup guarantees, retry rates are 17-27 points lower for GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-5.4 when retry is listed first (option-order bias), mainly on two tasks; we make no claim about which behavior is better. Findings are limited to researcher-chosen phrasings, four tasks and unpinned model aliases. Code and all model responses are released.

原文摘要

EEG-based brain-computer interfaces support a broad range of applications, yet designing decoding architectures that perform well across diverse tasks remains challenging. We introduce AutoBCI, an agentic framework in which a Designer Agent and a Forecaster Agent support the discovery and selection of EEG decoding architectures across tasks. The Designer Agent performs Pool-Guided Architecture Discovery (PGAD), generating and refining architectures through training and validation across multiple EEG tasks, such as emotion recognition, motor imagery, and sleep staging. The Forecaster Agent performs Performance Estimation from Early Knowledge (PEEK), using architecture code, the training protocol, and early learning curves to predict full-budget validation performance and select promising candidates for continued training. Across 14 EEG datasets spanning motor imagery, emotion recognition, and sleep staging, we evaluate AutoBCI with six LLMs, including Opus 5.5 and GPT 5.6 Sol, and compare the architectures selected by the search procedure against ten baselines: six conventional EEG models and four foundation models. The architecture discovered by AutoBCI with Claude Opus 5.5 achieves 64.16% average test balanced accuracy (bAcc), compared with 63.87% for REVE, the strongest baseline on this metric. Using ten observed epochs, PEEK reduces mean absolute error in predicting average validation bAcc from 2.20 to 1.36 percentage points, a 38.1% reduction relative to the best-observed-score baseline. 原文摘要

Holistic perception for autonomous agents requires reliably segmenting and associating scene elements across time and camera views, including objects outside a fixed semantic taxonomy. Existing open-set panoptic benchmarks focus on individual images or views, while panoramic tracking benchmarks assume closed-set taxonomies. Consequently, these benchmarks do not evaluate whether unknown objects can be consistently segmented and tracked across synchronized multi-camera sequences. We introduce WayPOP, a panoramic open-set panoptic tracking benchmark built on real Waymo PVPS sequences augmented with diverse out-of-taxonomy 3D assets from Objaverse. Inserted objects are placed at fixed locations in the 3D scene and rendered using calibrated vehicle-mounted cameras as the ego vehicle and surrounding traffic move, providing temporally and cross-view consistent panoptic annotations and auxiliary LiDAR range observations. WayPOP contains approximately 670 curated assets instantiated as 980 unique unknown-object tracks, yielding 53,452 unknown-object mask annotations across 21,300 camera images. Our evaluation protocol defines a hierarchy of tasks from view-independent open-set panoptic segmentation to full panoramic open-set panoptic tracking, using known/unknown PQ and (w)STQ metrics. We benchmark representative open-set and open-vocabulary segmentation methods with temporal and cross-camera association. Our results reveal substantial limitations of current methods in truly open-set scenarios, highlighting robust unknown-object localization and identity association across time and views as major open challenges.

Capability-Aware Heterogeneous Control Barrier Functions for Decentralized Multi-Robot Safe Navigation

Joonkyung Kim, Yanze Zhang, Wenhao Luo, Yiwei Lyu

原文摘要

Safe decentralized navigation in heterogeneous robot teams is challenging because robots with different dynamics and control limits cannot satisfy identical collision-avoidance obligations equally well. Existing methods often rely on model-specific safety formulations or allocate avoidance responsibility without considering whether the assigned control is physically realizable, possibly leading to safety-constrained QP infeasibility and safety violations. We propose Capability-Aware Heterogeneous Control Barrier Functions (CA-HCBF), a decentralized framework for consistent safety enforcement and capability-aware responsibility allocation. We derive a unified operational-space second-order control-affine formulation for holonomic and nonholonomic mobile robots through canonical transformation and backstepping, addressing the relative-degree mismatch while preserving forward invariance of the pairwise safe set. Second, we quantify each robot's achievable control authority along the safety-critical direction using a support-function-based capability metric and use it to distribute pairwise avoidance responsibility. A feasibility-aware clipping mechanism further mitigates physically unrealizable responsibility assignments. Simulations with up to 30 heterogeneous robots and hardware experiments demonstrate high task completion with low safety violations and reduction in local QP infeasibility.

Evaluation Contracts and Evaluation Leverage: Sliced-Gap Readings in Structured Prediction Can Move Without Model Change

Hao Lu, Weixing Zhu, Ruiyang Li

原文摘要

NLP evaluation reports routinely cite sliced performance differences, most prominently the intra-inter gap in document-level relation extraction, as capability evidence. We show that such gap readings are joint properties of models and evaluation contracts: scoring function, gold version, threshold, output format, and prompt language. With predictions frozen, a method ordering reverses under a gold-standard exchange (+0.0363, CI excluding zero; tie-level after), movement localizing where gold re-partitions: renames are gauge transformations (Delta=0; re-annotation +0.862). We formalize this as an evaluation leverage account centered on the rank-flip condition. Constructively, the audited evaluation reading (AER) is a contract-marginalized, tie-declared, seed-prescribed, gate-filtered procedure whose tie declarations cover every contract-induced flip on the declared WMT19 grids (14/14; held-out 73% vs. union-of-ties 89%), matching the best single metric contract at epsilon=0.10 equivalence. Evidence spans DocRE, HacRED, a UD probe, and released gold revisions; an alternative-reference-set replication extends it beyond our testbeds. Failed predictions retained as boundaries; a 5% violation gate flags unverifiable settings and bounds survivor-selection bias. We release EvalLever, a preregistered workflow with an amendment trail; on LLM-as-judge grids, the audited ensemble stabilizes every unstable pair (13-15 to zero; generic ensemble shrinkage: the preregistered correlation criterion failed, the companion stabilization criterion passed).

Balancing Chain-of-Thought and Answer Supervision for Small Language Models on Medical Question Answering

Le Zhou, Xiao Luo, Chinmay Chandra, Zhan Zhang

原文摘要

Small language models (<=9B parameters) can support local medical question answering (QA) while reducing privacy and latency concerns, but effective fine-tuning remains challenging. This paper compares two chain-of-thought (CoT) supervised fine-tuning methods: Uniform-across-Sequence (UaS), which applies equal loss weighting to the full CoT-and-answer sequence, and Segment-weighted (SwS), which separately weights CoT and answer losses. We evaluate six general- and medical-domain models on multiple-choice QA (MedQA and EMS-MCQA) and free-text QA (Med-O1). Results show that neither method is universally best: on multiple-choice QA (MedQA and EMS-MCQA), SwS generally performs better, with general-purpose models benefiting most; notably, Qwen3.5-4B improves by up to 44.8% over its zero-shot baseline on MedQA. In contrast, medical-domain models show smaller or even negative gains on MCQs. On free-text QA (Med-O1), UaS performs best for nearly all models and provides consistent improvements across both model types, with the 3B Llama-3.2 model approaching the performance of much larger 7B medical-domain models. We also find that excessively long CoT generation is associated with lower performance in some models on either multiple-choice or free-text QA tasks, suggesting that limiting the CoT length during training may benefit selected models. Overall, the results show that CoT loss weighting should be matched to the task format and the knowledge already encoded in the base model, rather than using a single fine-tuning strategy for all clinical QA tasks.

Calibrated Multiaccuracy: Deterministic and Randomized Sample Complexity

Jiuyao Lu, Georgy Noarov, Aaron Roth

原文摘要

Calibrated multiaccuracy asks that a predictor be globally calibrated and multiaccurate with respect to a bounded test family $G$; that is, its residuals should be uncorrelated with every test $g(x)\in G$. This weakening of multicalibration suffices for many applications. Its sample complexity was not known to improve on that of full multicalibration, which is $\widetildeΘ\left(\frac{\log|G|}{\varepsilon^2} + \frac{1}{\varepsilon^{3}}\right)$ when $|G|$ is at least a sufficiently large power of $\log(1/\varepsilon)$. We resolve the sample complexity of $\varepsilon$-calibrated multiaccuracy, showing that it scales as $$ \widetildeΘ\left(\frac{\log|G|}{\varepsilon^2} + \frac{1}{\varepsilon^{5/2}}\right), $$ separating it from the complexity of multicalibration. The upper bound is obtained by an algorithm that outputs a randomized predictor. For deterministic predictors, we establish the tight rate $$ \widetildeΘ\left( \frac{\log|G|}{\varepsilon^2} + \frac{(\log|G|)^{1/3}}{\varepsilon^{8/3}} \right) $$ whenever $\log|G|=Ω(\log(1/\varepsilon))$. When $\log|G|\le\varepsilon^{-1+κ}$ for any fixed $κ\in(0,1)$, this rate is polynomially larger than the rate for randomized predictors. Thus, unlike for multicalibration, calibrated multiaccuracy exhibits a genuine sample-complexity separation between deterministic and randomized predictors. The matching upper and lower bounds show that the unusual cube-root dependence on $\log|G|$ is intrinsic. At $\log|G|\asymp\varepsilon^{-1}$, the minimax rates for randomized and deterministic calibrated multiaccuracy both coincide with the minimax rate for multicalibration.

TRIO: Task Refinement with Individual Optimization for Retrieval-Augmented Generation

Yingtao Ren, Xiao Luo, Yiwei Fu, Jinzhao Zhou, Yu-Cheng Chang, Chin-Teng Lin

原文摘要

This paper studies retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), which leverages external knowledge to improve the performance of language models. Despite the remarkable progress, current RAG approaches are still far from satisfactory due to inadequate retrieval and potential hallucinations. Towards this end, we propose a novel approach named Task Refinement with Individual Optimization (TRIO) for RAG. The core idea of our TRIO is to equip three well-designed agents with an iterative refinement paradigm by aligning their individual optimization objectives. Specifically, we first expand ambiguous queries with a query extension agent and quantify the reward based on the improved answer quality, which can be utilized to refine our agent for higher expansion efficiency. To enhance the retrieval quality, we include a unanimity voting to annotate the expanded query as insufficient or sufficient, and their generative outcomes are utilized as ground truth to optimize the judge agent. To further improve evidence utilization and answer accuracy, an answer agent is optimized with dynamic matching-based rewards with curriculum learning for final outputs. Extensive experiments across multiple benchmark datasets validate the effectiveness of the proposed TRIO in comparison with state-of-the-art approaches. Our code is available at https://github.com/yingtaoren/TRIO.

ATrust: Adaptive Trust Boundary Expansion for Securing LLM Agents

Xu Zhang, Zhichao Lu

原文摘要

As large language model (LLM) agents take on more complex tasks with greater autonomy, security has become a major obstacle to their broader deployment. Unlike in attacks that require complex exploitation of operating system vulnerabilities, attackers can easily hijack agents through indirect prompt injection (IPI), leading to privacy leakage, financial loss, and destructive operations. However, existing defenses often make security decisions based on limited static trusted evidence or assess observations in isolation. Such rigid trust assumptions can cause task-essential information to be unnecessarily discarded, resulting in over-defense and degraded agent functionality. To address this problem, we propose ATrust, a defense mechanism that adaptively expands the trust boundary during agent runtime. Starting from the user query as the root trust anchor, ATrust evaluates external observations against the current trust boundary and execution state, progressively admitting task-essential information as new trust anchors. This preserves necessary environmental feedback while excluding irrelevant content, whether benign or malicious, from subsequent decision-making, thereby limiting unnecessary exposure to external environment. We evaluate ATrust on AgentDojo and AgentDyn, where it achieves the strongest overall security--utility trade-off among existing defenses. With GPT-4o as the engine model, ATrust reduces the attack success rate on AgentDyn from 37.80% to 4.37% while enhancing utility by 10.00%, outperforming AuthGraph, the state-of-the-art defense, by 12.33%. These results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicality of ATrust.

LOGIV: Graph-Verified Execution with Causal Local Repair for Long-Horizon Robot Tasks

Enqiao Lu, Yuxiang Xie, Xingrui Yu, Yuyang Wang, Yipeng Gu, Zhirui Fang, Xinrun Xu, Zhenglin Wan 等 13 位作者

原文摘要

Agentic robots must turn a high-level goal into actions while keeping the physical conditions needed for future steps valid. A completed action does not ensure that its effects will persist: a later disturbance can invalidate support that the remaining plan still assumes. We present LOGIV, a graph engineering framework for agentic robot execution that uses an explicit task graph to connect symbolic planning, observation-based verification, and embodied action. LOGIV compiles a validated plan into condition-support and resource-ordering edges, checks their physical validity during execution, and uses dependency tracing to determine what must be restored after a failure. Repair is constrained by retained unfinished actions, and the combined continuation is symbolically validated before execution resumes. The framework operates above existing Vision-Language-Action (VLA) and World Action Model (WAM) policies without adding trainable components. Across 20 dual-arm tasks from RoboTwin V2 and BiCoord with three execution backbones, LOGIV improves mean task success without injected disturbances by 10.67 and 15.33 percentage points, respectively. Under predefined perturbations, it achieves higher task completion and condition restoration than three adapted recovery baselines for every backbone on both benchmarks. On three real-robot tasks, successful trials increase from 12/30 to 17/30. These results support explicit, continuously checked task dependencies as a practical interface for reliable agentic robot execution.

Harvesting SWE Benchmarks from Wild Vibe Coding Sessions

原文摘要

Development teams need reproducible tasks from their own repositories and workflows to evaluate coding agents. Conversational developer-agent collaboration ("vibe coding") produces abundant coding sessions and repository checkpoints, but requirements evolve across turns, unrelated conversations co-occur with commits, and engineering efforts can span multiple sessions. We present SessionFarmer, an automated framework that turns these records into self-contained, executable software engineering tasks. It analyzes dialogue and commit history to filter unrelated sessions and group multi-turn, potentially multi-session interactions into work episodes centered on one engineering goal. For each episode, it reconstructs a hermetic execution container, synthesizes a task statement from the full context, and authors repository-grounded engineering-quality rubrics and unit tests. Closed-loop test refinement uses requirement-breaking mutants and a blind solver to reduce false rejections of valid alternatives and false acceptances of incomplete solutions. We construct CropChat, an open benchmark of 242 tasks across 61 public repositories and 14 programming languages, and CropEnterprise from proprietary enterprise logs. In a CropEnterprise audit, the original developers endorse the vast majority of reconstructed episode boundaries, task statements, and quality rubrics. Full-episode context covers substantially more user requirements than single-turn or single-session inputs. Test refinement cuts false-rejection rates and raises balanced accuracy against reference patch labels by 7-9 percentage points across solvers. Across 12 model-harness configurations on CropChat, the strongest setup achieves 39.3% Pass@1, while harness choice shifts Pass@1 by up to 8.4 percentage points for the same model.

How effectively can vision-language-action (VLA) models learn diverse language-conditioned behaviors as training data scales? Investigating this question requires large and varied robot datasets, whose collection on physical robots remains costly. We introduce BURGER, a language-conditioned robotic drawing benchmark with a scalable, prompt-driven pipeline for generating continuous drawing trajectories, both in simulation and the real world. In BURGER, an agent starts from the same blank canvas and controls a robot arm to draw the object or spatial composition specified by language, while each instruction allows an open-ended variety of valid drawings and stroke orders. Using 28,200 simulated demonstrations spanning 282 drawing tasks, we evaluate five representative VLA models across data scales, language grounding, and multimodal behavior. BURGER supports fine-grained analysis of language grounding, spatial composition, and action generation, revealing distinct failure patterns across VLA models. Our experiments suggest that some VLA models can benefit from greater task diversity and demonstration scale, capture multimodal drawing behaviors, and generalize to unseen compositions of familiar objects. Finally, we deploy a trained policy on a Franka Panda arm, demonstrating the ability to draw reactively under human intervention. Quantum error correction is essential for fault-tolerant quantum computing. High-rate quantum low-density parity-check (qLDPC) codes have emerged as a promising approach to reducing the substantial physical qubit overhead of quantum error correction, enabling encoding rates exceeding $1/2$ in blocks of approximately one thousand physical data qubits. However, their practical implementation requires decoders that combine high accuracy with low latency to keep pace with quantum hardware. Existing decoders of high-rate qLDPC codes can achieve high accuracy but often incur substantial computational latency, whereas neural network decoders have yet to be demonstrated for high-rate qLDPC codes. Here, we introduce \emph{neural triage decoding}, a framework that uses syndrome consistency to adaptively allocate neural computation. A local neural message-passing network rapidly predicts error corrections, additional iterations reduce residual syndrome violations, and a rarely invoked diversification stage searches for consistent corrections to the remaining shots. We demonstrate that the \texttt{Triage} decoder can decode ultra-high-rate qLDPC codes encoding a few hundred logical qubits, including lifted-product and Kasai codes, achieving state-of-the-art accuracy comparable to the near optimal algorithmic decoders while reducing decoding latency by approximately one to two orders of magnitude. Our framework is inspired by a rigorous analysis of the exact bitwise marginal decoder, revealing a distance-independent syndrome-inconsistent error floor. In addition, we show the robustness of neural network decoders to mismatched error priors. Our results establish adaptive neural decoding as a promising route towards fast, accurate, and scalable quantum error correction in the near term.

原文摘要

Fine-grained action annotations can support skill reuse and compositional generalization in robot policies. However, robot datasets typically provide task-level instructions without subtask annotations. Although some include subtask labels, inconsistent formats and conventions hinder cross-source joint training. We propose RoboAtom-Data, which adds unified, time-aligned atomic-action annotations to existing data from multiple sources, covering 1.45 million trajectories, 6.88 million skill-labeled segments, and 16,882.1 hours. Our pipeline combines a unified protocol, large-scale manual annotation, propagation across repeated executions with the same ordered skill sequence, and multi-stage quality control. We evaluate the dataset through automatic atomic-action annotation and robot control. We construct RoboAtom-Bench to standardize evaluation of skill recognition and temporal boundary localization. Trained on the annotated data, RoboAtom-Anno achieves better automatic annotation performance than all evaluated open- and closed-source models on both RoboAtom-Bench and the external WGO-Bench. For robot control, atomic-action supervision paired with hierarchical execution improves task success over task-level baselines on LIBERO-Long, LIBERO-Plus, and RoboTwin. We will release the data, benchmark, model, and construction pipeline to support further research on skill-level robot learning.

CauProphet: Teaching Agents to Develop Causal Cognition like Humans

Kaiwen Wu, Chaochao Lu

原文摘要

Large language model (LLM) agents increasingly support long-horizon tasks by leveraging external memory and past experience. However, existing agents mainly retrieve records or summaries, lacking the ability to form and refine causal understanding of the world. Inspired by human causal cognition, we introduce CauProphet, an agent that develops and updates causal knowledge within its Causal Cognition. For each task, CauProphet combines relevant knowledge in Causal Cognition with current evidence to construct a Causal Belief, a structured belief capturing causal factors and the effects of possible actions. It uses this belief for decision-making and continuously updates both the belief and Causal Cognition as new observations emerge, enabling causal knowledge that persists beyond individual experiences. Evaluations demonstrate that CauProphet progressively acquires causal knowledge and transfers it to future decision-making. In financial research, CauProphet leverages prior discoveries to improve downstream analyses and outperforms all baselines in mean rank correlation with next-day returns, achieving a 25.4% improvement over a baseline agent. It also improves prediction accuracy from 21.3% to 28.6% in dynamic real-world settings. Further experiments validate its ability to perform reliable causal analysis and action selection across scientific and everyday tasks, demonstrating the potential of causal experience learning for next-generation LLM agents. The project repository is available at https://github.com/OpenCausaLab/CauProphet.

原文摘要

Understanding how humans interact with the world requires a representation of physical interactions at the hand surface. Tactile sensing captures these interactions, but collecting tactile data at scale requires specialized hardware. We introduce TactoHand, a model that predicts three dense hand-surface interaction fields---contact, proximity, and 3D force---from monocular video. We derive geometry-based contact and proximity labels and motion-derived force labels from eligible training data within a curated collection spanning approximately 50 million source frames. TactoHand uses a temporal transformer to aggregate visual evidence across frames, while three learned queries decode the corresponding hand-surface fields. A differentiable physics layer further constrains force predictions using observed object motion. Across in-domain and out-of-domain benchmarks, TactoHand improves contact and proximity estimation over prior methods. In addition, physics supervision reduces position and rotation errors in motion rollouts, and the predicted contact and proximity fields improve downstream hand-object reconstruction. Together, these results show a scalable, low-cost path to learning hand-surface interaction fields without collecting tactile measurements. Code will be released at https://github.com/zhenqis123/Tactohand.

原文摘要

Predicting future physical states stands as a central challenge in embodied intelligence. Existing video world models leave 3D dynamics implicit, action-based formulations remain tied to specific robot configurations, and 3D motion prediction models use flow-only supervision, providing a limited learning signal for physical dynamics. To circumvent these limitations, we introduce \method{}, a generative world model that jointly predicts future video and query-based 3D trajectories. By parameterizing 3D motion as continuous displacement tokens aligned with the video grid, a unified Mixture-of-Transformers (MoT) backbone jointly denoises both modalities under a rectified-flow objective. This formulation couples explicit geometric dynamics with visual evolution, effectively unlocking the physical commonsense embedded within pretrained video models. To empirically scale and validate this unified architecture, we train \method{} on a heterogeneous mixture of 1.44 million object-level samples spanning simulated and real-world domains. We further introduce WorldFlowBench, comprising 1,678 evaluation samples from 11 data sources across simulated and real-world interactions, including spatial reasoning tasks. Across all three evaluation sets, WorldFlow achieves the lowest average displacement error (ADE) and final displacement error (FDE) among the evaluated learning-based methods. Notably, on the challenging SpatialCog set, WorldFlow achieves an ADE of 0.060 m, a 54.2\% reduction compared with the strongest external baseline. It also reduces ADE and FDE by 55.9\% and 68.5\%, respectively, compared with its flow-only variant. Project page: https://worldflow-rbs.github.io/.

原文摘要

Adapting robot manipulation policies to new tasks and environments remains highly data-intensive, while the data needed for further improvement depends on the policy's current capabilities and failure modes. We introduce EmbodiRSI, an agentic system for recursive self-improvement (RSI) in a real-to-sim-to-real setting, where task-specific simulations are constructed from target deployment scenarios and used as low-cost environments for iterative policy improvement before transfer back to the physical world. EmbodiRSI uses policy execution feedback to guide subsequent experience acquisition and policy updates. Two complementary mechanisms close this loop: Collaborative Error Correction generates agent-assisted corrective trajectories from policy-reached states, while Adaptive Data Collection directs expert demonstration generation toward the current policy's weaknesses. The task-specific simulation serves as a reusable workspace for policy warm-up, repeatable evaluation, failure diagnosis, and targeted data generation across successive RSI rounds. Across three tabletop environments and 14 subtasks, EmbodiRSI increases scene-balanced autonomous simulation success from 50.4% to 83.5% over two RSI updates. With 400 adaptive simulated trajectories and only ten real-world refinement trajectories per subtask, EmbodiRSI achieves 83.1% scene-balanced autonomous real-world success, compared with 75.0% for adaptation using 200 real-world demonstrations per subtask. These results demonstrate that feedback-driven recursive improvement in deployment-specific simulations can enable data-efficient adaptation of embodied policies to physical environments.

cuPDQPx: A GPU-Accelerated Restarted Halpern PDHG for Large-Scale Convex Quadratic Programming

Haihao Lu, Zedong Peng, Jinwen Yang

原文摘要

We present cuPDQPx, a GPU-accelerated, factorization-free first-order solver for large-scale convex quadratic programming (QP). Building on the restarted reflected Halpern primal-dual framework of cuPDLPx, we introduce an auxiliary-variable splitting that yields explicit updates without linearizing the quadratic objective or solving inner quadratic subproblems. A preconditioned proximal point interpretation yields both sublinear and linear fixed-point residual convergence guarantees. For practical efficiency, cuPDQPx integrates diagonal preconditioning, step-size selection, adaptive restart, and adaptive primal and quadratic weight updates. cuPDQPx is implemented in C and CUDA with optimized sparse matrix-vector products, kernel fusion, and CUDA Graphs. Numerical experiments on the Maros-Mészáros collection, a convex subset of QPLIB, and synthetic large-scale QPs demonstrate that cuPDQPx has strong numerical performance at both $10^{-4}$ and $10^{-8}$ tolerances.

UniSGR-V2: Stepwise Target-Side Feature Anticipation and Crossing for Generative Recommendation

Jun Yang, Jiasi Chen, Jiawei Sun, Ziyue Guo, Jianan Yan, Tao Luo

原文摘要

Semantic-ID-based generative recommendation unifies retrieval and ranking through autoregressive decoding but differs structurally from discriminative models, which can directly access rich target-item side features. The attributes are compressed into a finite codebook during quantization, while the target item remains undetermined during decoding and its features cannot be looked up. This target-side feature vacuum weakens generation at each semantic-ID level through high conditional entropy and cascading errors, and final ranking through missing target-side feature crossing. Existing methods interact with candidate representations or generate discrete attribute tokens, but none reconstructs a continuous target-side representation inside decoding to support both stepwise generation and ranking. We propose TacGR (Stepwise Target-Side Feature Anticipation and Crossing for Generative Recommendation). Before decoding each codeword, TacGR anticipates a continuous target-side feature vector and crosses it with the semantic prefix and user behavior sequence inside the decoder. The crossed representation conditions current-level generation and is directly used for ranking. Continuous-vector regression risks a learnable target collapsing with its prediction and prediction noise propagating into generation through attention. TacGR addresses these challenges with a semantic-anchoring auxiliary tower and a unidirectional visibility mask, respectively. For extremely long industrial behavior histories, it introduces gated convolutional denoising to suppress noise and adapts the pyramid memory funnel to reduce inference cost. Offline experiments on a large-scale Lazada dataset show significant gains over OneRec, UniRec, and UniSGR. Online A/B testing improves IPV, Order, and GMV by 0.79%, 5.55%, and 3.09%, respectively.

What Improves During Pretraining? Tracking Knowledge Acquisition with Point-in-Time Models

Chang Su, Bin Wu, Emine Yilmaz, Yao Lu

原文摘要

Language models pretrained on web corpora collected over multiple years learn both general and domain-specific knowledge. How these different kinds of knowledge are learned as pretraining progresses remains unclear. Recent point-in-time models trained on web snapshots from different years provide a way to probe how knowledge prevalence varies over time. Using these models, we propose a temporal variability score (TVS), defined as the coefficient of variation of an item's negative log-likelihood across models. A higher score suggests that the knowledge may be less consistently represented across years of web text. We evaluate six benchmarks covering diverse topics using six models from multiple open-source model families. We find that low- and high-TVS items are learned similarly early in training, but high-TVS items improve faster later on. At the end of the pretraining run, high-TVS items outperform low-TVS items in 34 of 36 model-benchmark settings, with an average advantage of 7.3 points of chance-normalized accuracy. This pattern is most robust on knowledge-intensive tasks, even when comparing items of similar difficulty. Our findings reveal differences in how knowledge is learned over the course of pretraining, with temporal variability providing a diagnostic of these learning dynamics beyond aggregate benchmark scores.

Does Your Generalist Skill Optimizer Really Incentivize Agentic Tasks? Rethinking Skill Optimization via Bipartite Attribution

Jiawei Zhou, Bo Peng, Yuxuan Huang, Ming Zhang, Youbang Sun, Xiang Wang, Chaochao Lu

原文摘要

Skill optimizers adapt an agent to long-horizon tasks, such as repairing a terminal environment, by rewriting its skill, a natural-language procedure in its context, and keeping the edits that raise success on a small dev set. On such tasks success is noisy, so a gain on a small dev set does not show that an edit helps, and a success score does not show what the edit costs. We introduce BiPA, which replays an optimizer's acceptance rule on candidates identical to its seed to measure what selection alone reports, and records each episode as a bipartite graph of turns and the text they read to trace extra input tokens to the behavior behind them. Across three optimizers, three agentic benchmarks and two models, the learned skills succeed about as often as their hand-written seed, 0.1 points higher on average. Their dev gains vanish on test: keeping the best of several candidates on at most 30 tasks reports gains this large even when none changed. They read about 16% more input tokens: the optimizers almost always add rules, half to re-check work and some to act one call at a time, and the agent follows them as extra turns, each re-sending the whole conversation. Four principles follow: accept an edit only if its gain exceeds what selection alone reports; charge it for the turns it adds, not for its length; let the editor delete and merge rules; show it what earlier rules cost. Code is available at https://github.com/valleysprings/BiPA.git.

Negative Results for Reciprocity-Based Over-the-Air Split Learning Under Channel Aging: Stability, Alignment, and Geometry

Tianhao Guo, Xianzhong Li, Hao Luo

原文摘要

In reciprocity-based over-the-air split learning, channel aging rotates and attenuates the derivative signal returned to the transmitter. Seven case studies combine numerical forecasts, mechanism checks, and competing predictions. Near the correlation zero, an archived SGD comparison finds truncated inversion 0.000813 lower in cross-entropy than polar correction, with a paired 95% interval for the difference from -0.001853 to 0.000060, and a retained-mode quadratic proxy slightly favors truncation. Selecting the return port with the largest received power falls short of the predicted five-point alignment advantage over random selection at both tested spacings, gaining at most 0.97 points, while the local inverse relation between amplitude and phase gradient is supported. Seven specified interference-induced accuracy-collapse predictions are rejected, and independent zero-mean interference preserves the conditional mean under a fixed linear chain. Per-subcarrier correction and spherical-wavefront compensation do not deliver their predicted accuracy gains. Focusing leaves both methods near chance in a single-mode model and adds no observed gain in a model with a line-of-sight component plus scattering. A successful port assignment under nonsymmetric motion refutes an exact-symmetry requirement. The competing positioning-error prediction is supported. Gaussian rail jitter with a standard deviation of 0.383 wavelengths yields high terminal test accuracy, whereas a fixed bias of the same magnitude yields near-chance accuracy. These cases distinguish valid local physical relations from unsupported training forecasts through task support, noise injection, and update moments.
