3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has revolutionized radiance field reconstruction by achieving high-quality novel view synthesis with fast rendering speed, introducing 3D Gaussian primitives to represent the scene. However, 3DGS encounters blurring and floaters when applied to complex scenes, caused by the reconstruction of redundant and ambiguous geometric structures. We attribute this issue to the unstable optimization of the Gaussians. To address this limitation, we present a plug-and-play PDE-based optimization method that overcomes the optimization constraints of 3DGS-based approaches in various tasks, such as novel view synthesis and surface reconstruction. Firstly, we theoretically derive that the 3DGS optimization procedure can be modeled as a PDE, and introduce a viscous term to ensure stable optimization. Secondly, we use the Material Point Method (MPM) to obtain a stable numerical solution of the PDE, which enhances both global and local constraints. Additionally, an effective Gaussian densification strategy and particle constraints are introduced to ensure fine-grained details. Extensive qualitative and quantitative experiments confirm that our method achieves state-of-the-art rendering and reconstruction quality.

Segment Anything Model (SAM)-based approaches have shown strong potential for biomedical image segmentation. However, these methods often struggle to preserve spatial consistency in 3D electron microscopy (3D-EM) data and still require extensive manual annotation. We propose Spatial-SAM, a spatially consistent and annotation-efficient framework for high-precision 3D-EM segmentation. It introduces a 3D Signed Distance Field (SDF) memory mechanism that replaces SAM2's memory with SDF representations precomputed by a 3D U-Net, providing richer geometric information and improving spatial consistency. It also combines SAM2's few-shot capability with a dual-track pseudo-label iterative optimization strategy to learn large-scale 3D-EM segmentation from minimal annotations. Experiments show Spatial-SAM significantly outperforms existing semi-supervised methods and performs comparably to state-of-the-art fully supervised approaches on multiple 3D-EM benchmarks, reducing annotation costs while preserving spatial consistency. Code is available at https://github.com/Giluir/Spatial-SAM.

Online 3D reconstruction from streaming inputs requires both long-term temporal consistency and efficient memory usage. Although causal variants of VGGT address this challenge through a key-value (KV) cache mechanism, the cache grows linearly with the stream length, creating a major memory bottleneck. Under limited memory budgets, early cache eviction significantly degrades reconstruction quality and temporal consistency. In this work, we observe that attention in causal transformers for 3D reconstruction exhibits intrinsic spatio-temporal sparsity. Based on this insight, we propose STAC, a Spatio-Temporally Aware Cache Compression framework for streaming 3D reconstruction with large causal transformers. STAC consists of three key components: (1) a Working Temporal Token Caching mechanism that preserves long-term informative tokens using decayed cumulative attention scores; (2) a Long-term Spatial Token Caching scheme that compresses spatially redundant tokens into voxel-aligned representations for memory-efficient storage; and (3) a Chunk-based Multi-frame Optimization strategy that jointly processes consecutive frames to improve temporal coherence and GPU efficiency. Extensive experiments show that STAC achieves state-of-the-art reconstruction quality while reducing memory consumption by nearly 10x and accelerating inference by 4x, substantially improving the scalability of real-time 3D reconstruction in streaming settings.

Controllable, high-fidelity mesh editing remains a significant challenge in the domain of 3D content creation. Existing generative methods often struggle with complex geometries and fail to preserve fine-scale details. We propose CraftMesh, a novel framework for high-fidelity generative mesh manipulation based on Poisson Seamless Fusion. We decompose mesh editing into a pipeline that leverages the strengths of 2D image editing and 3D generation models: we first edit a 2D reference image, then generate a 3D mesh corresponding to the edited region, and fuse it seamlessly into the original mesh through a Geometry and Texture Fusion method. We introduce two core techniques: Poisson Geometric Fusion, which utilizes a hybrid SDF/Mesh representation with normal blending to achieve harmonious geometric integration, and Poisson Texture Harmonization for visually consistent texture blending. We demonstrate state-of-the-art structural consistency, geometric fidelity, and texture quality in challenging editing scenarios.
