Compact Motion Embeddings for Feed-forward Unified Human Animation

原文摘要

Animating a reference image with a driver's motion requires a motion representation that captures face, hand, and body articulation but excludes the driver's appearance. Most body animation methods take motion from external pose estimators and render it with many denoising steps; compact learned motion representations mostly cover the face. We present FUHA, a real-time-capable feed-forward transformer that learns a compact motion embedding of the whole human and uses it for face, upper-body, and full-body animation. A Q-Former compresses the driver's features from a frozen visual encoder into this embedding. To disentangle motion from appearance, a novel contrastive loss pulls it toward the motion embedding of the driver's rendered keypoint image and away from that of the same person in another pose. At inference time, FUHA needs no external pose estimators, keypoints, or parametric body models. As a retrieval key, the motion embedding matches body pose better than the learned global embeddings of ten vision encoders. Its same-person retrieval rate is 0.1%, against 9.5% for its own DINOv3 backbone. On our upper-body benchmark, FUHA outperforms all baselines on every self-reenactment metric and on cross-reenactment identity similarity. It is competitive on face and full-body and runs at up to 38.9 FPS at 512x512 on a single RTX 4090.

AutoDex: An Automated Real-World System for Dexterous Grasping Data Collection

原文摘要

Scaling real-world dexterous-grasp data collection is limited by the sustained human effort required to operate the robot, verify grasp outcomes, and reset objects between trials. Simulation can generate grasp candidates at scale, but their success on hardware remains uncertain. We present AutoDex, a system that collects real-world dexterous-grasp data without continuous human operation. Given generated grasp candidates, AutoDex plans and executes grasps, labels their outcomes, and resets the object to continue collection across stable poses. Multi-view object tracking supports labeling under hand-object occlusion, while residual-torque collision monitoring and pose-directed reset enable the loop to operate without continuous human supervision. Using AutoDex, we collect over 3,500 grasp trials across 100 objects with Allegro and Inspire hands, recording both successes and failures together with synchronized visual observations and robot states. AutoDex reduces human effort by more than an order of magnitude, requiring an estimated 0.2 human-hours to collect 500 trajectories compared with 9.3 for teleoperation. As AutoDex collects trials, it builds a library of physically validated grasps for subsequent execution. In new object placements and obstacle configurations, retrieval from this library achieves 76% success, compared with 34% for candidates screened only in simulation. Code and data are available at https://snuvclab.github.io/AutoDex/.

SimuScene: Simulation-Ready Compositional 3D Scene Reconstruction from a Single Image

Inhee Lee, Sangwon Baik, Sungjoo Kim, Hyeonwoo Kim, Hyunsoo Cha, Hanbyul Joo

原文摘要

Reconstructing interactive, simulation-ready 3D scenes from a single image is a critical bottleneck for robotic manipulation. While recent single-image lifters recover plausible per-object shapes, composing them yields scenes that collapse under physical simulation due to interpenetrating, hovering, or sinking objects. Existing physics-aware compositional reconstruction methods mainly address this as a post-hoc layout correction, leaving the underlying geometric errors unresolved. To address this, we introduce SimuScene, a compositional 3D reconstruction pipeline that puts physics in the loop of shape and layout estimation. Rather than using physics merely for layout cleanup, we utilize the physics engine as a diagnostic measurement tool during the generative process itself. By diagnostically simulating reconstructed objects under gravity, we convert penetration and support failures into quantitative correction signals that drive amodal shape resampling, with gravity-axis stretching as a lightweight correction for minor errors. This physics-informed feedback loop mitigates accumulated reconstruction errors and produces a stable, simulation-ready compositional 3D scene. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance on physical stability and geometric alignment benchmarks. We further highlight SimuScene's utility by deploying reconstructed environments in humanoid control and robot-arm manipulation tasks.

Robot-Factored World Models via Robot Rendering

Byungjun Kim, Taeksoo Kim, Hyunsoo Cha, Hanbyul Joo

原文摘要

Action-conditioned video world models predict future observations from an initial observation and an action signal. We propose robot-factored world models (RoFacto), which move two robot-specific factors outside the world model to separate action realization from scene-response prediction. First, action realization: each command sequence is rolled through the robot's own controller and kinematics without scene contact into a deployment-available nominal trajectory that does not require future realized states. Second, robot rendering: this nominal trajectory is rendered through the robot URDF, factoring the robot's geometry, kinematics, and appearance out of the model and into explicit rendered robot geometry. Paired end-effector and scene depth provide geometric cues for contact and occlusion, while camera-aware static RGB context and rendered robot geometry form a shared visual interface across viewpoints and embodiments through which the model learns scene responses. Our experiments show that the rendered interface outperforms vector-conditioned baselines, supports transfer to unseen robot embodiments, and generates robot manipulation videos from retargeted human demonstrations.
