PersonaAgent: Retrieval-Augmented Transaction Anomaly Scoring with Refreshable Multi-Entity Persona Memory

Zhengyu Fang, Liang Wang, Yingtong Dou, Yuzhong Chen, Shubham Jain, Junpeng Wang, Xiran Fan, Menghai Pan 等 11 位作者

In large-scale payment networks, entities (card, merchant, etc.) and their interactions play a key role in transaction anomaly detection. However, transaction patterns between different entities usually change more frequently than the production model refresh schedule. Meanwhile, entity embedding tables suffer from high-cardinality and sparse interaction issues. To resolve the above challenges, we present PersonaAgent, an agentic transaction anomaly detection framework which represents the latest entity behavior signals as personas and saves them in a refreshable memory. Offline, a weekly scheduled batch job is used to extract the latest behavior signals and update them in the memory. At inference time, a lightweight adapter retrieves the corresponding entity behavior signals of each transaction from memory and uses them to augment the base anomaly classifier's scoring. Through comprehensive benchmarking with different anomaly detection models at Visa, PersonaAgent is able to score transactions efficiently (a 1,000-transaction CPU batch in 1-2 ms), lifting the PR-AUC by 0.65-6.58% and the production business metric by 8.93-14.24% relatively in deployment.

Redacting Personal Data: A Speed and Accuracy Comparison of Regex, Presidio and Hybrid Designs

Sai Yashwant, Manoj Kumar Gondimalla, Arjun Sharma, Shubham

Many enterprise projects now pass free text to large language models (LLMs), and that text often contains personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses and dates of birth. Once a prompt is sent, this data is copied into provider systems, application logs and observability traces. Redacting PII before the call is an obvious control, yet teams seldom have numbers on what it costs in latency or what it lets through. This paper compares four redaction designs that any LLM pipeline can adopt: a pure regular-expression (regex) redactor, Microsoft Presidio running on a spaCy model, a hybrid in which Presidio finds only person names while regex handles structured identifiers, and a fast hybrid that calls spaCy's named-entity component directly. All four share a known-entity rule, which removes the person the system already knows it is handling, and a consistent placeholder scheme, so the LLM can still tell one person from another after redaction. We evaluate the designs on a sample workflow, which we call ProfileAssist, that turns resumes into structured profiles, using 100 synthetic resumes (523 characters on average, with 900 PII values and 600 business terms that must survive). Regex ran at a 0.20 ms median but caught only 88.9% of PII, because it cannot find names that are not known in advance, such as the references listed in a resume. Presidio, hybrid and fast hybrid each caught 100% of PII and kept 100% of business terms, at median latencies of 37.59 ms, 30.23 ms and 13.48 ms. Measured against a 9,120 ms median LLM call, even the slowest option adds only 0.41% to the request. We therefore recommend the fast hybrid as a default for LLM pipelines that handle personal data, with regex kept as a safety net rather than as the only control.

WAVES: Wearable Active Vibroacoustic Elasticity Sensing for Low-Cost and Non-Invasive Muscle Stiffness Monitoring

Shubham Rohal, Dong Yoon Lee, Shijia Pan

Muscle stiffness is a physiologically meaningful biomarker associated with a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. However, existing muscle stiffness assessment methods, such as shear wave elastography (SWE), manual palpation, and handheld mechanical probes, remain impractical for continuous, everyday monitoring due to bulky hardware, operator dependence, and limited self-use. Meanwhile, wearable muscle-sensing modalities such as Electromyography (EMG) and Mechanomyography (MMG) primarily capture muscle activation rather than passive mechanical properties of tissue at rest, leaving a critical gap in portable monitoring of resting muscle stiffness. In this work, we present WAVES, a wearable system for continuous monitoring of muscle stiffness via active vibroacoustic sensing. WAVES injects controlled vibroacoustic excitation into soft tissue and estimates muscle stiffness by measuring shear-wave propagation velocity through Time-Difference-of-Arrival (TDoA) analysis across spatially distributed wearable sensors. To achieve accurate TDoA estimation with low-cost wearable hardware, we develop a physiology- and quality-guided vibroacoustic sensing framework that effectively screens and refines TDoA for accurate stiffness estimation. We evaluate WAVES through characterization experiments using ballistic jelly and end-to-end on-body evaluation with human participants. Results demonstrate that WAVES can robustly estimate muscle stiffness across multiple users and different superficial muscles while enabling lightweight, wearable deployment for everyday use. WAVES is able to achieve a muscle stiffness estimation error of 13.1% or less across multiple users and multiple muscle groups.

AI agents are playing an increasingly important role in physics research. However, existing physics benchmarks only evaluate fixed questions, isolated sub-tasks, or paper reproduction with given solutions, and rarely check research quality alongside correctness. We introduce FrontierPhysics, an end-to-end benchmark with 56 tasks made by 42 physicists based on their own research, covering nine domains across theoretical, computational, and experimental physics. Each task requires agents to review the literature, develop a research plan, conduct research and experiments, and produce structured outputs and scientific manuscripts. Combining deterministic verifiers with expert-authored rubrics, FrontierPhysics evaluates whether agents' research is correct and publishable. Across 22 models in 26 configurations, no configuration passes more than 46 of its 168 rollouts. Manual review of agent trajectories shows that frontier agents' main weaknesses are insufficiently rigorous reasoning and limited expert intuition, rather than gaps in physics knowledge or execution errors.

Agentic AI in Automated Markets

Irene Aldridge, Lourenco Belleau-Bhowmik, James Chan, Josh Chang, Kelly Deng, Pranav Dhingra, Xinda Ding, Haodong Fang 等 33 位作者

Automated markets increasingly host autonomous, learning trading agents and are powered by formulaic automated market makers (AMMs). We study how heterogeneous agent behavior shapes stress, risk-adjusted performance, liquidity, and volatility in these types of markets. Three behavioral archetypes are modeled as agentic reinforcement learning (RL) systems: a rational arbitrageur, a manipulator, and a retail herd-follower. Each archetype is defined by its reward function within a common, asset-agnostic exposure-control environment, and each is trained with a value-based Deep Q-Network (DQN) and with REINFORCE using a learned baseline. A pilot on hourly cryptocurrency data (AAVE, ETC, SUI) motivates the hypotheses. Herd-followers produce the most frequent but shortest stress episodes, manipulators the fewest but most persistent, and rational agents the most stable rolling Sharpe ratios despite higher return volatility. SHAP attributions tie these patterns to drawdown and cross-asset signals, short-term volatility and position state, and momentum, respectively. The results motivate behavior-specific regulation rather than uniform limits on volatility or turnover.

We introduce Nemotron 3.5 Super and Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, open and efficient Mixture-of-Experts Hybrid Mamba-Transformer models designed for reasoning, long-context understanding, and agentic workloads. Super is a 120B-parameter, 12B-active multimodal model, while Lightning is a smaller 30B-parameter, 3B-active text model; both designed for efficient deployment. Both models combine large-scale distillation, long-context training, and native speculative decoding, while Super further incorporates Indic continued pretraining and agentic software-engineering mid-training. We develop a comprehensive post-training pipeline spanning supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning (RLVR and RLHF), complemented in Super by specialized teacher training and multi- teacher on-policy distillation (MOPD). This transforms Super from a text-only base model into a multimodal agent capable of reasoning over text, images, video, and interactive tool environments. We further explore test-time scaling through parallel agent execution and self-verification. Across training and deployment, we jointly optimize capability and efficiency. Indic continued pretraining improves Indian-language benchmarks by up to 9.82 percentage points, while agentic mid-training strengthens software-engineering capabilities and robustness across agent harnesses. The post-trained Super model achieves 51.78% on SWE-bench Pro, surpassing Nemotron 3 Ultra despite using approximately 4.6x fewer active parameters. Post-training MTP boosting improves speculative- decoding acceptance length by up to 21.8% under probabilistic draft sampling, while NVFP4 quantization achieves 99.62% median accuracy recovery relative to BF16. Inference optimizations enable up to 4,856 output tokens/s/GPU on GB200 while sustaining at least 50 tokens/s/user.

MUTANT: A Recipe for Multilingual Tokenizer Design

Souvik Rana KRUTRIM, Ashish Kulkarni ebay Inc., Arul Menezes Ola Krutrim, Chandra Khatri Ola Krutrim, Shubham Agarwal Krutrim AI

Tokenizers play a crucial role in determining the performance, training efficiency, and the inference cost of Large Language Models (LLMs). Designing effective tokenizers for multilingual LLMs is particularly challenging due to diverse scripts and rich morphological variation. While subword methods like Byte Pair Encoding (BPE) are widely adopted, their effectiveness in multilingual settings remains underexplored. We present MUTANT, a recipe for building multilingual tokenizers, with careful vocabulary and training data design, language-aware pre-tokenization, and subword and multiword aware training. We also introduce MUTANT-Indic, a tokenizer for India-specific multilingual LLMs, that produces linguistically coherent tokens and achieves state-of-the-art performance. Evaluated across English, Indian languages and code data, our tokenizer improves the average fertility score by 39.5% over LLaMA4 and by 18% over Sutra (the current best). This translates to 44% improvement in inference throughput over LLaMA4 while maintaining comparable performance on English and Indic benchmarks. We present detailed ablations across tokenizer training data size, vocabulary size, merging techniques, and pre-tokenization strategies, demonstrating the robustness of our design choices.

Core systems like key-value stores have historically taken years to build, and are designed to be general so as to amortize cost across deployments, paying a significant performance cost. We argue that LLM-based coding agents now make a different approach tractable: Just-in-Time Systems, in which the entire system is synthesized from scratch, specialized to the environment, workload, and required system properties. We present a JIT system synthesis pipeline, Jitskit, and explore its effectiveness in synthesizing key-value stores from spec cards that span different YCSB workloads, deployment constraints (e.g., compute resources), and system properties (e.g., consistency and durability). Jitskit iteratively refines a system implementation to match the specification against an evolving evaluation test suite. The resulting synthesized systems are performant, beating comparable state-of-the-art systems on 18 of 18 specs tried, by up to 4.6x over the best off-the-shelf baseline on the most favorable spec. Naively running Claude Code either reward-hacks or underperforms Jitskit by up to 5.4x. We discuss the challenges we overcame in building Jitskit and our key takeaways.

AI 速览:提出归纳演绎合成(IDS)智能体系统,联合增量地合成实现与证明,从失败中学习策略,为分布式系统生成形式化验证的代码。

AI agents increasingly excel at generating, testing, and refining code. However, they fall short on tasks requiring formal guarantees of full coverage that testing alone cannot provide. Distributed systems are a prime example: properties such as consistency between reads and writes must hold under every possible interleaving of events. Mechanized formal verification can guarantee such correctness, but typically demands months to years of expert effort. As evidence, even SOTA coding agents (Codex with GPT-5.4 and Claude Code with Opus 4.6) succeed on only 2/7 distributed key-value-store specifications. In this paper, we present the first effective approach to addressing this gap, Inductive Deductive Synthesis (IDS), which jointly and incrementally synthesizes implementation and proof, and learns from failed attempts to systematically try promising strategies. Built as an agentic LLM system, IDS achieves 7/7 in about 6.8 hours and $106 per spec on average, roughly 200x faster than expert effort and 17% cheaper than SOTA agents. IDS further incorporates performance feedback into the same loop, yielding implementations up to 3x faster than published verified systems.

Arming Data Agents with Tribal Knowledge

AI 速览:Tk-Boost 通过从智能体自身错误中积累并检索“部落知识”,在生成 SQL 时纠正其对数据库的误解,从而提升 NL2SQL 准确率。

Natural language to SQL (NL2SQL) translation enables non-expert users to query relational databases through natural language. Recently, NL2SQL agents, powered by the reasoning capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs), have significantly advanced NL2SQL translation. Nonetheless, NL2SQL agents still make mistakes when faced with large-scale real-world databases because they lack knowledge of how to correctly leverage the underlying data (e.g., knowledge about the intent of each column) and form misconceptions about the data when querying it, leading to errors. Prior work has studied generating facts about the database to provide more context to NL2SQL agents, but such approaches simply restate database contents without addressing the agent's misconceptions. In this paper, we propose Tk-Boost, a bolt-on framework for augmenting any NL2SQL agent with tribal knowledge: knowledge that corrects the agent's misconceptions in querying the database accumulated through experience using the database. To accumulate experience, Tk-Boost first asks the NL2SQL agent to answer a few queries on the database, identifies the agent's misconceptions by analyzing its mistakes on the database, and generates tribal knowledge to address them. To enable accurate retrieval, Tk-Boost indexes this knowledge with applicability conditions that specify the query features for which the knowledge is useful. When answering new queries, Tk-Boost uses this knowledge to provide feedback to the NL2SQL agent, resolving the agent's misconceptions during SQL generation, and thus improving the agent's accuracy. Extensive experiments across the BIRD and Spider 2.0 benchmarks with various NL2SQL agents shows Tk-Boost improves NL2SQL agents accuracy by up to 16.9% on Spider 2.0 and 13.7% on BIRD

EditCtrl: Disentangled Local and Global Control for Real-Time Generative Video Editing

Litman, Yehonathan, Liu, Shikun, Seyb, Dario, Milef, Nicholas, Zhou, Yang, Marshall, Carl, Tulsiani, Shubham, Leak, Caleb

High-fidelity generative video editing has seen significant quality improvements by leveraging pre-trained video foundation models. However, their computational cost is a major bottleneck, as they are often designed to inefficiently process the full video context regardless of the inpainting mask's size, even for sparse, localized edits. In this paper, we introduce EditCtrl, an efficient video inpainting control framework that focuses computation only where it is needed. Our approach features a novel local video context module that operates solely on masked tokens, yielding a computational cost proportional to the edit size. This local-first generation is then guided by a lightweight temporal global context embedder that ensures video-wide context consistency with minimal overhead. Not only is EditCtrl 10xmore compute efficient than state-of-the-art generative editing methods, it even improves editing quality compared to methods designed with full-attention. Finally, we showcase how EditCtrl unlocks new capabilities, including multi-region editing with text prompts and real-time autoregressive content propagation.

Flow3r: Factored Flow Prediction for Scalable Visual Geometry Learning

Cong, Zhongxiao, Zhao, Qitao, Jeon, Minsik, Tulsiani, Shubham

Current feed-forward 3D/4D reconstruction systems rely on dense geometry and pose supervision - expensive to obtain at scale and particularly scarce for dynamic real-world scenes. We present Flow3r, a framework that augments visual geometry learning with dense 2D correspondences ('flow') as supervision, enabling scalable training from unlabeled monocular videos. Our key insight is that the flow prediction module should be factored: predicting flow between two images using geometry latents from one and pose latents from the other. This factorization directly guides the learning of both scene geometry and camera motion, and naturally extends to dynamic scenes. In controlled experiments, we show that factored flow prediction outperforms alternative designs and that performance scales consistently with unlabeled data. Integrating factored flow into existing visual geometry architectures and training with 800K unlabeled videos, Flow3r achieves state-of-the-art results across eight benchmarks spanning static and dynamic scenes, with its largest gains on in-the-wild dynamic videos where labeled data is most scarce.

HTTM: Head-wise Temporal Token Merging for Faster VGGT

Wang, Weitian, Meiner, Lukas, Shubham, Rai, De La Parra, Cecilia, Kumar, Akash

The Visual Geometry Grounded Transformer (VGGT) marks a significant leap forward in 3D scene reconstruction, as it is the first model that directly infers all key 3D attributes (camera poses, depths, and dense geometry) jointly in one pass. However, this joint inference mechanism requires global attention layers that perform all-to-all attention computation on tokens from all views. For reconstruction of large scenes with long-sequence inputs, this causes a significant latency bottleneck. In this paper, we propose head-wise temporal merging (HTTM), a training-free 3D token merging method for accelerating VGGT. Existing merging techniques merge tokens uniformly across different attention heads, resulting in identical tokens in the layers' output, which hinders the model's representational ability. HTTM tackles this problem by merging tokens in multi-head granularity, which preserves the uniqueness of feature tokens after head concatenation. Additionally, this enables HTTM to leverage the spatial locality and temporal correspondence observed at the head level to achieve higher merging ratios with lower merging costs compared to existing methods. Thus, HTTM achieves up to 7x acceleration with negligible performance drops in a GPU-based inference.

E-RayZer: Self-supervised 3D Reconstruction as Spatial Visual Pre-training

Zhao, Qitao, Tan, Hao, Wang, Qianqian, Bi, Sai, Zhang, Kai, Sunkavalli, Kalyan, Tulsiani, Shubham, Jiang, Hanwen

Self-supervised pre-training has driven rapid progress in foundation models for language, 2D images, and video, yet remains largely unexplored for learning 3D-aware representations from multi-view images. In this paper, we present E-RayZer, a self-supervised 3D vision model that learns geometrically grounded representations directly from unlabeled images. Unlike prior self-supervised methods such as RayZer, which infer 3D indirectly through latent-space view synthesis, E-RayZer operates directly in 3D space, performing self-supervised 3D reconstruction with Explicit geometry. This formulation eliminates shortcut solutions and yields representations that are 3D-aware. To ensure convergence and scalability, we introduce a fine-grained learning curriculum that organizes training from easy to hard samples and harmonizes heterogeneous data sources without any supervision. Experiments show that E-RayZer significantly outperforms RayZer on pose estimation and matches or sometimes surpasses fully supervised reconstruction models such as VGGT. Furthermore, its learned representations outperform leading visual pre-training models (e.g., DINOv3, CroCo v2, VideoMAE V2, and RayZer) on 3D downstream tasks, establishing E-RayZer as a promising paradigm for spatial visual pre-training.

Measuring the (Un)Faithfulness of Concept-Based Explanations

Kumar, Shubham, Ahuja, Narendra

Deep vision models perform input-output computations that are hard to interpret. Concept-based explanation methods (CBEMs) increase interpretability by re-expressing parts of the model with human-understandable semantic units, or concepts. Checking if the derived explanations are faithful--that is, they represent the model's internal computation--requires a surrogate that combines concepts to compute the output. Simplifications made for interpretability inevitably reduce faithfulness, resulting in a tradeoff between the two. State-of-the-art unsupervised CBEMs (U-CBEMs) are seemingly more interpretable, while also being more faithful to the model. However, we observe that the reported improvement in faithfulness artificially results from either (1) using overly complex surrogates, which introduces an unmeasured cost to the explanation's interpretability, or (2) relying on deletion-based approaches that, as we demonstrate, do not properly measure faithfulness. We propose Surrogate Faithfulness (SURF), which (1) replaces prior complex surrogates with a simple, linear surrogate that measures faithfulness without changing the explanation's interpretability and (2) introduces well-motivated metrics that assess loss across all output classes, not just the predicted class. We validate SURF with a measure-over-measure study by proposing a simple sanity check--explanations with random concepts should be less faithful-which prior surrogates fail. SURF enables the first reliable faithfulness benchmark of U-CBEMs, revealing that many visually compelling U-CBEMs are not faithful. Code is released.

Large Language Model (LLM) agents, acting on their users' behalf to manipulate and analyze data, are likely to become the dominant workload for data systems in the future. When working with data, agents employ a high-throughput process of exploration and solution formulation for the given task, one we call agentic speculation. The sheer volume and inefficiencies of agentic speculation can pose challenges for present-day data systems. We argue that data systems need to adapt to more natively support agentic workloads. We take advantage of the characteristics of agentic speculation that we identify, i.e., scale, heterogeneity, redundancy, and steerability - to outline a number of new research opportunities for a new agent-first data systems architecture, ranging from new query interfaces, to new query processing techniques, to new agentic memory stores.

Gemini 1.5: Unlocking multimodal understanding across millions of tokens of context

Gemini Team, Petko Georgiev, Ving Ian Lei, Ryan Burnell, Libin Bai, Anmol Gulati, Garrett Tanzer, Damien Vincent 等 1137 位作者

In this report, we introduce the Gemini 1.5 family of models, representing the next generation of highly compute-efficient multimodal models capable of recalling and reasoning over fine-grained information from millions of tokens of context, including multiple long documents and hours of video and audio. The family includes two new models: (1) an updated Gemini 1.5 Pro, which exceeds the February version on the great majority of capabilities and benchmarks; (2) Gemini 1.5 Flash, a more lightweight variant designed for efficiency with minimal regression in quality. Gemini 1.5 models achieve near-perfect recall on long-context retrieval tasks across modalities, improve the state-of-the-art in long-document QA, long-video QA and long-context ASR, and match or surpass Gemini 1.0 Ultra's state-of-the-art performance across a broad set of benchmarks. Studying the limits of Gemini 1.5's long-context ability, we find continued improvement in next-token prediction and near-perfect retrieval (>99%) up to at least 10M tokens, a generational leap over existing models such as Claude 3.0 (200k) and GPT-4 Turbo (128k). Finally, we highlight real-world use cases, such as Gemini 1.5 collaborating with professionals on completing their tasks achieving 26 to 75% time savings across 10 different job categories, as well as surprising new capabilities of large language models at the frontier; when given a grammar manual for Kalamang, a language with fewer than 200 speakers worldwide, the model learns to translate English to Kalamang at a similar level to a person who learned from the same content.
