RV2GC: Reconstructing the Garbling Boundary in a RISC-V Garbled Processor

Zixiao Feng, Xiaolin Li, Chenglu Jin, Wei Yan, Yong Zhang, Hongwei Liu, Yong Liu, Qinfen Hao

Programmable garbled-circuit execution must balance the benefits of cross-program reuse against the cost of repeated work during secure execution. A complete garbled processor provides a fixed circuit for many programs, but its evaluator repeatedly visits processor-wide structures even when only a small part performs the current protected computation. We present RV2GC, which reconstructs the garbling boundary around a fixed library of RISC-V instruction circuits. Public scheduling and operand routing operate outside the circuit topologies; persistent label-encoded state connects independently invoked garbled instruction circuits and instruction-specific garbling-free paths through a common interface. A Conditional-execution Stack and protected commits support secret-dependent branches, bounded loops, and secret-indexed memory access under public scheduling, keeping instruction and memory-address sequences independent of private inputs. Across nine benchmarks, measured ARM2GC-to-RV2GC runtime ratios range from 12.81 to 4,043. In terms of circuit size, the largest listed instruction circuit has 3,386 gates, corresponding to 2.044% and 0.393% of the 256-byte and 4,096-byte Amber processors, respectively. Additional comparisons quantify schedule storage, communication, and the cost of secret-dependent execution.

WNM-3D: A World Navigation Model with 3D Scene Conditioning for Closed-Loop VLN

Yuehao Huang, Yunzi Wu, Xiaotao Zhang, Xinhai Li, Jiankun Dong, Sunyao Zhou, Jiajun Lv, Chi Zhang 等 11 位作者

Recent vision-language navigation (VLN) systems increasingly adapt pretrained vision-language models (VLMs) into vision-language-action (VLA) policies that map egocentric observations and language instructions directly to navigation actions. Although semantically capable, such action-centric training does not explicitly model how the agent's visual observations evolve under its predicted motion. Generative world-action models (WAMs) jointly predict future observations and actions, yet existing WAMs for continuous VLN do not condition joint future-view and action generation on geometry-aware representations inferred from the observation history. We present WNM-3D, a generative World Navigation Model with 3D scene conditioning for continuous VLN. A frozen feed-forward geometry encoder extracts cross-view representations from monocular RGB history, and a trainable 3D Scene-to-Token Adapter converts them into a fixed-length scene prefix for the world-action Diffusion Transformer. Through block-causal attention, this prefix remains visible to every future video-action block throughout joint denoising, providing persistent geometric context. We train WNM-3D with supervised world-action learning, DAgger-style adaptation on policy-visited states, and Counterfactual DanceGRPO refinement. Across GN-Bench and VLN-CE, WNM-3D consistently outperforms the backbone-matched WNM-2D counterpart, demonstrating gains from 3D scene conditioning across distinct visual domains. WNM-3D further outperforms strong VLN baselines on GN-Bench and demonstrates closed-loop deployment on a physical robot. Component and stage-wise ablations support the Adapter design and the complementary roles of DAgger-SFT and subsequent reward-guided refinement.

Labference: Benchmarking the Reasoning-Action Connection in Robotic Laboratories

Shitong Liu, Jingwei Zhang, Sheng Lian, Xinyu Zhuang, Kaiwen Guo, Quan Liu, Chunhai Zhao, Jiaxin He 等 20 位作者

Realizing Embodied AI for Science requires robots to translate experimental goals into reliable physical procedures, reducing hazardous and repetitive human work while generating evidence for scientific discovery. Although language-based planning and learned manipulation provide complementary capabilities, their integration requires robots to adapt subsequent operations to actual execution outcomes. For example, an unsuccessful placement changes what must be done next, even when the experimental goal remains unchanged. Existing benchmarks assess planning, manipulation, and laboratory workflows through task completion and reasoning or execution metrics; however, aggregate performance leaves the connection between outcome-dependent choices and physical execution unresolved. To address this evaluation gap, we introduce Labference, a benchmark for evaluating how observed physical outcomes guide subsequent choices and how those choices translate into robotic laboratory actions. Its evaluation protocol is designed to test outcome-dependent behavioral adaptation through controlled evidence variations, while independently measuring operation selection, physical execution, and task completion. Matched Oracle-assisted continuations from shared checkpoints then assess which forms of support improve subsequent choices and task completion. Initial weighing evaluations reveal target-selection errors in the tested VLA policies despite successful object transfers, whereas GPT-driven control achieves correct selection but encounters execution failures and substantial computation costs. Together, these findings highlight the need to connect task-appropriate reasoning with reliable, timely action. By making this connection measurable and diagnosable, Labference supports targeted improvements toward autonomous experimentation for Embodied AI for Science.

Beyond Itinerary Planning—A Real-World Benchmark for Multi-Turn and Tool-Using Travel Tasks

Xiang Cheng Renmin University of China, Yulan Hu Alibaba Group, Xiangwen Zhang, Lu Xu, Lide Tan, Zheng Pan Alibaba Group, Xin Li Alibaba Group, Yong Liu Renmin University of China

Travel planning is a natural real-world task to test large language models’ (LLMs) planning and tool-use abilities. Although prior work has studied LLM performance on travel planning, existing settings still differ from real-world needs, mainly due to limited domain coverage, insufficient modeling of users’ implicit preferences in multi-turn conversations, and a lack of evaluation of agents’ capability boundaries. To mitigate these gaps, we propose \mbox{\textbf{TravelBench}}, a benchmark for \textit{truly real-world} travel planning. We collect user queries, user preferences, and tools from real scenarios, and construct three subtasks—\textit{Single-Turn}, \textit{Multi-Turn}, and \textit{Unsolvable}—to evaluate agents’ three core capabilities in real settings: (1) solving problems independently, (2) interacting with users to elicit implicit preferences, and (3) recognizing the capability boundaries. To enable stable tool invocation and reproducible evaluation, we cache real tool-call results and build a sandbox environment which integrates ten travel-related tools, enabling agents to combine these tools to solve most practical travel planning problems. We evaluate multiple LLMs on TravelBench and find that even advanced models exhibit imbalanced performance across different capabilities. Our further systematic verification demonstrates the stability of the proposed benchmark. TravelBench provides a practical and reproducible benchmark to advance research on LLM agents for real-world travel planning.

DiningBench: A Hierarchical Multi-view Benchmark for Perception and Reasoning in the Dietary Domain

Song Jin, Juntian Zhang, Xun Zhang, Zeying Tian, Fei Jiang Meituan, Guojun Yin Meituan, Wei Lin, Yong Liu Renmin University of China 等 9 位作者

Recent advancements in Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have revolutionized general visual understanding. However, their application in the food domain remains constrained by benchmarks that rely on coarse-grained categories, single-view imagery, and inaccurate metadata. To bridge this gap, we introduce DiningBench, a hierarchical, multi-view benchmark designed to evaluate VLMs across three levels of cognitive complexity: Fine-Grained Classification, Nutrition Estimation, and Visual Question Answering. Unlike previous datasets, DiningBench comprises 3,021 distinct dishes with an average of 5.27 images per entry, incorporating fine-grained “hard” negatives from identical menus and rigorous, verification-based nutritional data. We conduct an extensive evaluation of 29 state-of-the-art open-source and proprietary models. Our experiments reveal that while current VLMs excel at general reasoning, they struggle significantly with fine-grained visual discrimination and precise nutritional reasoning. Furthermore, we systematically investigate the impact of multi-view inputs and Chain-of-Thought reasoning, identifying five primary failure modes. DiningBench serves as a challenging testbed to drive the next generation of food-centric VLM research. All codes are released in https://github.com/meituan/DiningBench.

ReasonAny: Incorporating Reasoning Capability to Any Model via Simple and Effective Model Merging

Junyao Yang, Chen Qian, Wen Shen Tongji University, Yong Liu Renmin University of China, Jing Shao Shanghai AI Laboratory, Dongrui Liu Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory

Large Reasoning Models (LRMs) with long chain-of-thought reasoning have recently achieved remarkable success. Yet, equipping domain-specialized models with such reasoning capabilities, referred to as “Reasoning + X”, remains a significant challenge. While model merging offers a promising training-free solution, existing methods often suffer from a destructive performance collapse: existing methods tend to both weaken reasoning depth and compromise domain-specific utility. Interestingly, we identify a counter-intuitive phenomenon underlying this failure: reasoning ability predominantly resides in parameter regions with low gradient sensitivity, contrary to the common assumption that domain capabilities correspond to high-magnitude parameters. Motivated by this insight, we propose ReasonAny, a novel merging framework that resolves the reasoning–domain performance collapse through Contrastive Gradient Identification. Experiments across safety, biomedicine, and finance domains show that ReasonAny effectively synthesizes “Reasoning + X” capabilities, significantly outperforming state-of-the-art baselines while retaining robust reasoning performance.

MAS-Bench: A Unified Benchmark for Shortcut-Augmented Hybrid Mobile GUI Agents

Pengxiang Zhao, Guangyi Liu, Yaozhen Liang, Weiqing He, Zhengxi Lu, WenHao Wang, Yuehao Huang, Yuxiang Chai The Chinese University of Hong Kong 等 14 位作者

Shortcuts such as APIs and deep-links have emerged as efficient complements to flexible GUI operations, fostering a promising hybrid paradigm for MLLM-based mobile automation. However, systematic evaluation of GUI–shortcut hybrid agents remains largely underexplored. To bridge this gap, we introduce MAS-Bench, a benchmark that pioneers the evaluation of GUI-shortcut hybrid agents with a specific focus on the mobile domain. Beyond merely using predefined shortcuts, MAS-Bench assesses an agent’s capability to autonomously generate shortcuts by discovering and creating reusable, low-cost workflows. It features 139 complex tasks across 11 real-world applications, a knowledge base of 88 predefined shortcuts (APIs, deep-links, RPA scripts), and 9 evaluation metrics. Experiments demonstrate that hybrid agents achieve up to 68.3% success rate and 39% greater execution efficiency than GUI-only counterparts. Furthermore, our evaluation framework effectively reveals the quality gap between predefined and agent-generated shortcuts, validating its capability to assess shortcut generation methods. MAS-Bench addresses the lack of systematic benchmarks for GUI-shortcut hybrid mobile agents, providing a foundational platform for future advancements in creating more efficient and robust intelligent agents.

MemSearch-o1: Empowering Large Language Models with Reasoning-Aligned Memory Growth in Agentic Search

Sheng Zhang, Junyi Li, Yingyi Zhang, Pengyue Jia City University of Hong Kong, Yichao Wang, Xiaowei Qian City University of Hong Kong, Wenlin Zhang City University of Hong Kong, Maolin Wang 等 10 位作者

Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have scaled the potential for reasoning and agentic search, wherein models autonomously plan, retrieve, and reason over external knowledge to answer complex queries. However, the iterative think–search loop accumulates long system memories, leading to memory dilution problem. In addition, existing memory management methods struggle to capture fine-grained semantic relations between queries and documents and often lose substantial information. Therefore, we propose MemSearch-o1, an agentic search framework built on reasoning-aligned memory growth and retracing. MemSearch-o1 dynamically grows fine-grained memory fragments from memory seed tokens from the queries, then retraces and deeply refines the memory via a contribution function, and finally reorganizes a globally connected memory path. This shifts memory management from stream-like concatenation to structured, token-level growth with path-based reasoning. Experiments on eight benchmark datasets show that MemSearch-o1 substantially mitigates memory dilution, and more effectively activates the reasoning potential of diverse LLMs, establishing a solid foundation for memory-aware agentic intelligence.

No More Stale Feedback: Co-Evolving Critics for Open-World Agent Learning

Zhicong Li, Lingjie Jiang Peking University, Yulan Hu Alibaba Group, Xingchen Zeng, Yixia Li, Xiangwen Zhang, Guanhua Chen Southern University of Science and Technology, Zheng Pan Alibaba Group 等 10 位作者

Critique-guided reinforcement learning (RL) has emerged as a powerful paradigm for training LLM agents by augmenting sparse outcome rewards with natural-language feedback. However, current methods often rely on static or offline critic models, which fail to adapt as the policy evolves. In on-policy RL, the agent’s trajectory distribution and error patterns shift over time, causing stationary critics to become stale and providing feedback of diminishing utility. To address this, we introduce ECHO (Evolving Critic for Hindsight-Guided Optimization), a framework that jointly optimizes the policy and critic through a synchronized co-evolutionary loop. ECHO utilizes a cascaded rollout mechanism where the critic generates multiple diagnoses for an initial trajectory, followed by policy refinement to enable group-structured advantage estimation. We address the challenge of learning plateaus via a saturation-aware gain shaping objective, which rewards the critic for inducing incremental improvements in high-performing trajectories. By employing synchronized dual-track GRPO updates, ECHO ensures the critic’s feedback stays synchronized with the evolving policy. Experimental results show that ECHO yields more stable training and higher long-horizon task success across open-world environments.

AI 速览:ToolACE提出一种自动化的智能体流水线,用于生成准确、复杂且多样的工具学习数据,以提升大语言模型的函数调用能力。

Function calling significantly extends the application boundary of large language models, where high-quality and diverse training data is critical for unlocking this capability. However, real function-calling data is quite challenging to collect and annotate, while synthetic data generated by existing pipelines tends to lack coverage and accuracy. In this paper, we present ToolACE, an automatic agentic pipeline designed to generate accurate, complex, and diverse tool-learning data. ToolACE leverages a novel self-evolution synthesis process to curate a comprehensive API pool of 26,507 diverse APIs. Dialogs are further generated through the interplay among multiple agents, guided by a formalized thinking process. To ensure data accuracy, we implement a dual-layer verification system combining rule-based and model-based checks. We demonstrate that models trained on our synthesized data, even with only 8B parameters, achieve state-of-the-art performance on the Berkeley Function-Calling Leaderboard, rivaling the latest GPT-4 models. Our model and a subset of the data are publicly available at https://huggingface.co/Team-ACE.
