原文摘要

Chest computed tomography (CT) is central to the detection and management of thoracic disease, yet the growing scale and complexity of volumetric imaging increasingly exceed what can be addressed by scan-level prediction alone. Clinically useful AI for CT must not only recognize disease across the whole volume, but also localize abnormalities and provide interpretable visual evidence. Existing vision-language foundation models typically compress scans and reports into global image-text representations, limiting their ability to preserve spatial evidence and support clinically meaningful interpretation. Here we developed EXACT, an explainable anomaly-aware foundation model for three-dimensional chest CT that learns spatially resolved representations from paired clinical scans and radiology reports. EXACT was pre-trained on 25,692 CT-reports pairs using anatomy-aware weak supervision, jointly learning organ segmentation and multi-instance anomaly localization without manual voxel-level annotations. The resulting organ-specific anomaly-aware maps assign each voxel a disease-specific anomaly score confined to its corresponding anatomy, jointly encoding lesion extent and organ-level context. In retrospective multinational and multi-center evaluations, EXACT showed broad and consistent improvements across clinically relevant CT tasks, spanning multi-disease diagnosis, zero-shot anomaly localization, downstream adaptation, and visually grounded report generation, outperforming existing three-dimensional medical foundation models. By transforming routine clinical CT scans and free-text reports into explainable voxel-level representations, EXACT establishes a scalable paradigm for trustworthy volumetric medical AI.

SWEOps-Bench: Evaluating Agents for End-to-End Resolution of Software-Induced Cloud Incidents

Danwen Chen, Guangba Yu, Pengfei Chen

原文摘要

As autonomous agents advance, the traditional boundary between software development and cloud operations gradually blurs, increasing the need for integrated incident detection, localization, and remediation. Existing benchmarks evaluate isolated diagnostic queries or repository-level program repair, failing to test continuous incident resolution across operational clusters and source repositories. We introduce SWEOps-Bench, an interactive benchmark comprising 55 reproducible incident tasks derived from confirmed historical defects across 16 Kubernetes operator projects. Each task preserves the original software repository and initializes in a healthy cluster before a controlled workload triggers the historical fault. Agents investigate runtime evidence and submit source or configuration repairs through a terminal interface, while the harness builds and deploys the changes within a shared time budget. Evaluation covers stage-wise accuracy, verified recovery, penalized lifecycle latency, and token consumption. Across six agent-model configurations, faulty-state detection ranges from 72.7% to 90.9%, whereas overall recovery ranges from only 14.5% to 52.7%, exposing a substantial gap between recognizing incidents and resolving them end to end. Trajectory analysis further shows that reported diagnosis and final recovery only partially coincide: some tasks achieve verified recovery despite an incorrect reported RCA, while runtime symptom clearance can still fail fix-specific functional verification. SWEOps-Bench establishes a rigorous foundation for evaluating autonomous agents in integrated development and operational environments.

原文摘要

Despite recent progress in long-form video understanding, current benchmarks mostly focus on short clips or hour-scale videos. This leaves a major gap in evaluating ultra-long video understanding, where videos often last tens of hours. To bridge this gap, we introduce DramaVQA, a large-scale benchmark built upon long-form TV dramas. Containing approximately 20K question-answering (QA) pairs, the scale of DramaVQA exceeds previous long-video datasets, such as Video-MME and LVBench, by an order of magnitude. Our benchmark has two main features that make it stand out from existing datasets. First, we establish a scalable, LLM-assisted annotation pipeline that uses multimodal large language models (MLLMs) to generate complex questions, followed by strict human checking to ensure high data quality. Second, DramaVQA introduces a multi-level time structure; queries are designed across different video lengths, with the hardest questions requiring overall understanding across the entire drama. Extensive evaluations show that state-of-the-art MLLMs face major challenges when tested on these very long videos, highlighting the need for agentic AI algorithms capable of managing long-term memory. Extracting System Prompt of LLM Services in Complex (Agentic) Settings: Hierarchical Optimization and Reliable Evaluation Metrics

原文摘要

System prompt is a critical intellectual property of large language model (LLM) services. To analyze its leakage, prompt extraction attacks have been extensively studied. However, we validate that existing attacks substantially degrade on recent LLM services, whose complexity has evolved in both the prompt itself and system-level constraints. Specifically, (1) system prompts become longer and more structured to contain pre-defined tool schemas, execution logic, safety guardrails, etc., and (2) only the final post-processed outputs (e.g., agent's actions) but not the raw textual response can be observed. In this paper, we address the above increased complexity by proposing Extraction with Hierarchical Optimization (ExtraHerO), which (1) decomposes the prompt extraction into a hierarchical reconstruction process with a pre-defined structural prompt template, and (2) iteratively updates the adversarial query with guidance of feedback-template differences to observe diverse outputs. In particular, we monitor the information gain of attack optimization to early stop or reset it for a good trade-off between effectiveness and efficiency. We also find that existing evaluation metrics for prompt fidelity can be misleading because they do not account for structural information. Therefore, we rely on global textual similarity and prioritize structural keywords. Moreover, we introduce a system-level metric, adversarial utility, to measure the help of prompt extraction for real-world downstream attacks. Experimental results demonstrate the consistent superiority of ExtraHerO, with average improvements of 12.5\% (fidelity), 2.3\% (functionality), and 6.0\% (adversarial utility) on chatbots, and 12.2\%, 34.3\%, and 30.5\% on agents.

The Alignment Illusion: How BadReward Corrupts Text-to-Image Generation

Kaiwen Duan, Hongwei Yao, Yufei Chen, Ziyun Li, Tong Qiao, Zhan Qin, Cong Wang

原文摘要

Modern text-to-image generative models increasingly rely on Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) to align generated content with human preferences and safety standards. This post-training stage is critical for optimizing models toward high-fidelity and value-aligned behaviors using human preference data. However, while previous works have extensively investigated poisoning attacks against the supervised fine-tuning (SFT) stage of text-to-image training, the security vulnerabilities introduced by the RLHF process remain unexplored. In this paper, we present the first exploration into the feasibility of poisoning the RLHF process as a novel attack surface for compromising text-to-image models. We introduce BadReward, an indirect clean-label poisoning attack that manipulates reward signals to embed malicious behaviors. Our approach leverages a feature collision mechanism to produce poison preference image pairs that are visually benign, but aligned with a malicious target concept in the reward feature space. Our experiments demonstrate that this manipulation effectively corrupts the reward signal. Online RLHF further amplifies this corruption through its reward-model feedback loop, whereas offline preference optimization learns directly from the poisoned preferences. Finally, we demonstrate the real-world effectiveness of BadReward on modern text-to-image architectures, showing high attack success rates and visual stealthiness across different RLHF algorithms. Our code is available at https://github.com/ZJUICSR/BadReward.

PentestEval: Benchmarking LLM-based Penetration Testing with Modular and Stage-Level Design

Ruozhao Yang, Mingfei Cheng, Gelei Deng, Tianwei Zhang, Junjie Wang, Xiaofei Xie

原文摘要

Penetration testing is essential for assessing and strengthening system security against real-world threats, yet traditional workflows remain highly manual, expertise-intensive, and difficult to scale. Although recent advances in Large Language Models (LLMs) offer promising opportunities for automation, existing applications rely on simplistic prompting without task decomposition or domain adaptation, resulting in unreliable black-box behavior and limited insight into model capabilities across penetration testing stages. To address this gap, we introduce PentestEval, the first comprehensive benchmark for evaluating LLMs across six decomposed penetration testing stages: Information Collection, Weakness Gathering and Filtering, Attack Decision-Making, Exploit Generation and Revision. PentestEval integrates expert-annotated ground truth with a fully automated evaluation pipeline across 346 tasks covering all stages in 12 realistic vulnerable scenarios. Our stage-level evaluation of 9 widely used LLMs reveals generally weak performance and distinct limitations across the stages of penetration-testing workflow. End-to-end pipelines reach only 31% success rate, and existing LLM-powered systems such as PentestGPT, PentestAgent, and VulnBot exhibit similar limitations, with the evaluated autonomous agents showing particularly low success rates under our benchmark settings. These findings highlight that reliable autonomous penetration testing requires stronger structured reasoning and fine-grained stage-level diagnosis. PentestEval provides the foundational benchmark needed for future research on fine-grained, stage-level evaluation, paving the way toward more reliable LLM-based automation.

Q-CamTuning: A Multimodal Large Language Model for Fine-Grained Quality Reasoning in Livestreaming Camera Tuning

Yanchao Bi, Pengfei Chen, Yulong Yan, Qian Zhang, Biao Wang, Leida Li

原文摘要

With the popularization of livestreaming applications, automatic camera tuning has become indispensable for ordinary users to enjoy high Quality of Experience (QoE). However, the existing Image Quality Assessment (IQA) methods face two challenges in camera tuning. First, they struggle to identify subtle quality difference between images, which is common in camera tuning. Second, the ability to explain fine-grained differences and to provide suggestions for camera tuning are even more lacking. To address these challenges, we first construct FGLive-Comments, an instruction tuning dataset with rich annotations of both preferences for fine-grained image pairs and quality reasoning from global and local visual evidence, which supports selective adjustment recommendations of camera parameters. Based on FGLive-Comments, we develop Q-CamTuning, a multimodal large language model for livestreaming camera tuning. Its progressive perception-evidence-guidance framework learns quality-aware visual representations, enhances fine-grained reasoning with global-local evidence, and maps quality issues to camera-parameter adjustment directions. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that Q-CamTuning outperforms existing IQA models in both quality scoring and fine-grained image pair ranking. User study also validates its ability to recommend camera tuning suggestions.

In-Context Learning World Models for Robot Dual-Arm Manipulation of Soft Garment with Partial Observations

Hengyi Sim, Quentin Rouxel, Dennis Hong, Darwin Caldwell, Fei Chen

原文摘要

Robust manipulation of soft objects, such as garments, is a critical skill for service and household robots to adopt, but remains challenging due to its high-dimensional state space, and material-dependent deformations. Humans address this challenge by using mental world models that "imagine" the shape and material properties from partial observations, which enables them to predict how actions affect future states. As such, embedding such world models in robots allows for better generalization in manipulating a wide variety of garments in the real world. However, learned world models typically require large amounts of real world data that is strenuous to collect, and a mechanism to infer latent properties that govern dynamics. We present a Soft-Object World Model that performs generative full-state estimation and action-conditioned dynamics prediction using a transformer backbone trained on large-scale simulated soft object interactions, with measures to mitigate the sim-to-real gap. By learning to infer latent shape and material cues through in-context learning over a variable-length partial point-cloud history, the model generalizes across robot embodiments, material parameters, garment types and shapes, and manipulation coordination modes without weight updates. The world model is then integrated with a Goal-Conditioned action planner for motion synthesis. We validate the approach in simulation and real world for bimanual garment folding, reporting improvements in reconstruction fidelity, prediction accuracy, and task success. CylindTrack: Depth-Aware Cylindrical Motion Modeling for Panoramic Multi-Object Tracking in Mobile Robots

原文摘要

Maintaining consistent target identities and observation histories is essential for mobile robot perception. Panoramic Multi-Object Tracking (MOT) benefits from broad visual coverage but must address coordinate discontinuities at the equirectangular image seam and fluctuations in relative-depth estimates. Such fluctuations can undermine depth-aware association, highlighting the need for temporally consistent depth cues. We propose CylindTrack, a depth-aware cylindrical tracking-by-detection framework that jointly models panoramic topology and temporal depth consistency. Depth-Temporal Trajectory Modeling (DTM) maintains instance depth and its rate of change as filtered trajectory states. Spherical Spatio-Temporal Consistency Learning (SSTC) combines a Temporal Mixer with Spherical Geometry-aware Attention to refine depth-aware representations. A Topology-Aware Cylindrical Motion Model (TCMM) represents horizontal motion in an unwrapped angular state and incorporates periodic overlap, angular consistency, and filtered depth cues into association. Experiments on QuadTrack and JRDB demonstrate improved identity consistency and trajectory continuity, with HOTA scores of 33.67 and 31.12 and IDF1 scores of 40.45 and 34.33, respectively. The framework processes 28.56 and 21.34 frames per second, respectively, on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 GPU under the reported evaluation settings. These results support persistent panoramic multi-object tracking for mobile robot perception. The source code will be released at https://github.com/warriordby/CylindTrack.

LongZero: Enhancing Long-Context Reasoning in LLMs from Zero Data

Zhennan Wan, Jianfei Chen

原文摘要

Reinforcement learning (RL) is an effective way to strengthen the long-context reasoning of large language models (LLMs), but it needs training data that are long, diverse, challenging, and verifiable. Human annotation of such data is expensive, naturally occurring data are too scarce to sustain RL, and existing synthesis methods depend on external corpora or stronger teacher models, which become harder to obtain as the trained models get stronger. Recently, RL from zero data, in which a model learns from tasks it proposes itself, has achieved excellent performance, but existing methods target short-context tasks. Therefore, we propose $\textbf{LongZero}$, a method that lets an LLM improve its own long-context reasoning without any external data. Instead of writing questions and answers over existing documents, LongZero first has the model synthesize the question and answer with its supporting evidence in a compact structured form, and only then separately expands the evidence into a long multi-document context. LongZero combines these self-written multi-hop reasoning tasks with self-written multi-round retrieval tasks and trains the model with GRPO. We evaluate LongZero on two LLMs across five long-context reasoning benchmarks and compare it with RL on data synthesized from external corpora. Experimental results show that LongZero can generalize to real tasks, and outperforms both baselines, suggesting a viable and promising path to improving long-context reasoning of LLMs.

Memorization, Emergence, and Explaining Reversal Failures: A Controlled Study of Relational Semantics in LLMs

原文摘要

Autoregressive LLMs perform well on relational tasks that require linking entities via relational words (e.g., father/son, friend), but it is unclear whether they learn the logical semantics of such relations (e.g., symmetry and inversion logic) and, if so, whether reversal-type failures arise from missing relational semantics or left-to-right order bias. We propose a controlled Knowledge Graph-based synthetic framework that generates text from symmetric/inverse triples, train GPT-style autoregressive models from scratch, and evaluate memorization, logical inference, and in-context generalization to unseen entities to address these questions. We find a sharp phase transition in which relational semantics emerge with sufficient logic-bearing supervision, even in shallow (2–3 layer) models, and that successful generalization aligns with stable intermediate-layer signals. Finally, order-matched forward/reverse tests and a diffusion baseline indicate that reversal failures are primarily driven by autoregressive order bias rather than deficient inversion semantics.

ET-Agent: Incentivizing Effective Tool-Integrated Reasoning Agent via Behavior Calibration

Yifei Chen, Guanting Dong, Zhicheng Dou Renmin University of China

原文摘要

Large Language Models (LLMs) can extend their parameter knowledge limits by adopting the Tool-Integrated Reasoning (TIR) paradigm. However, existing LLM-based agent training framework often focuses on answers’ accuracy, overlooking specific alignment for behavior patterns. Consequently, agent often exhibits ineffective actions during TIR tasks, such as redundant and insufficient tool calls. How to calibrate erroneous behavioral patterns when executing TIR tasks, thereby exploring effective trajectories, remains an open-ended problem. In this paper, we propose ET-Agent, a training framework for calibrating agent’s tool-use behavior through two synergistic perspectives: Self-evolving Data Flywheel and Behavior Calibration Training. Specifically, we introduce a self-evolutionary data flywheel to generate enhanced data, used to fine-tune LLM to improve its exploration ability. Based on this, we implement an two-phases behavior-calibration training framework. It is designed to progressively calibrate erroneous behavioral patterns to optimal behaviors. Further in-depth experiments confirm the superiority of ET-Agent across multiple dimensions, including correctness, efficiency, reasoning conciseness, and tool execution accuracy. Our ET-Agent framework provides practical insights for research in the TIR field. Codes can be found in https://github.com/RUC-NLPIR/ET-Agent

ReasoningBank: Scaling Agent Self-Evolving with Reasoning Memory

原文摘要

With the growing adoption of large language model agents in persistent real-world roles, they naturally encounter continuous streams of tasks. A key limitation, however, is their failure to learn from the accumulated interaction history, forcing them to discard valuable insights and repeat past errors. We propose ReasoningBank, a novel memory framework that distills generalizable reasoning strategies from an agent's self-judged successful and failed experiences. At test time, an agent retrieves relevant memories from ReasoningBank to inform its interaction and then integrates new learnings back, enabling it to become more capable over time. Building on this powerful experience learner, we further introduce memory-aware test-time scaling (MaTTS), which accelerates and diversifies this learning process by scaling up the agent's interaction experience. By allocating more compute to each task, the agent generates abundant, diverse experiences that provide rich contrastive signals for synthesizing higher-quality memory. The better memory in turn guides more effective scaling, establishing a powerful synergy between memory and test-time scaling. Across web browsing and software engineering benchmarks, ReasoningBank consistently outperforms existing memory mechanisms that store raw trajectories or only successful task routines, improving both effectiveness and efficiency; MaTTS further amplifies these gains. These findings establish memory-driven experience scaling as a new scaling dimension, enabling agents to self-evolve with emergent behaviors naturally arise. Our code can be found at https://github.com/google-research/reasoning-bank.
